Panasonic bread makers - models, instructions, descriptions.

The easiest bread recipes for different models of bread makers (including for Panasonic bread maker)

New owners of Panasonic bread makers often have the same questions.

1. We switched on the bread maker, but only the "basic" program, size XL, is displayed. The stove does not respond to any of my actions, except for pressing the Start / Stop button. Is she defective?
No, the stove is fine. The oven is ready for use if the screen only shows zeros or the screen is empty (the bread maker must be plugged into a power outlet!). The "Start / Stop" button starts the set program, and does not turn on the bread maker!
The algorithm for setting the program is as follows: with a blank screen (or zeros), successively press the buttons from left to right, choosing the appropriate function: the "program" selects the type of bread, the mode - bread with additives, only kneading dough or fast mode (for the main one), "size" and "crust" live up to their names. And only after selecting all the necessary parameters, press "Start / Stop".

2. We turned on the program, but the stove is silent. Is she defective?
No, Panasonic bread makers have a function such as "temperature equalization". Depending on the temperature in the kitchen and the oven itself, kneading will start earlier (if cold) or later (if warm). The colder, the more time it takes to rise the dough; if it is warm, then it takes less time to rise. the bread in these ovens is of consistent high quality.
Maximum "temperature equalization" time in the main program one hour.

3. You need to reset the program. How to do it?
Press and hold the "Start / Stop" button until the sound signal. The screen will turn off. Then you can select the desired program and parameters.

4. You need to stop the program for a few minutes.
To stop for a few minutes, pull the plug out of the socket. Do not press any buttons! The stove maintains a program and a run of up to 10 minutes in memory.

5. The electricity went out. What to do?
If the electricity goes out for less than 10 minutes, then Panasonic bread maker will automatically continue its work. If there was no electricity for longer, then you will have to think about how to proceed, depending on the stage at which the program was interrupted. Start the program in a new way, use the "fast" mode, use the "pizza" + "baking" mode.

How do I test my Panasonic Bread Maker before I buy it?

For models 254/256, 255/257

Ask to turn on the bread maker: zeros will appear on the screen. Press the "program" button several times (for 255/257 models eight times) until the pointer on the screen is opposite "pizza", press "start / stop" - the stove should immediately begin to knead. The agitator will spin jerky - this is normal.

To stop the program, press "start / stop" and hold until it beeps and the screen is cleared. Take out the bucket. Now (there is nothing on the screen, it is empty!) Press the "program" button again until you select "baking" (9 times), press "start / stop", bring your hand to the shade and check that it starts to warm up. Turn it off again by pressing and holding "start / stop".

Now you can check all the buttons:
1. press "program" 1 time - different icons and numbers will appear on the screen 4:00
2. press the "mode" several times, the icons in the form of loaves, croissants and the inscriptions "bake", "rapid", etc. should start flashing alternately (simple baked goods, with fillings, fast, dough ...).
3. "size" - the pointer should jump over the icons X, L, XL
four."crust" - similar to "size", markers near the inscriptions "light * dark" (mark opposite the asterisk - middle crust).
5. "timer" - 10 minutes will be added to the baking time indicated on the display.
6. Press "start / stop" - the stove turns on to execute the program. And turn it off again by pressing and holding the "start / stop" for a couple of seconds until the squeak and the screen goes out.

For model 2502

1. Mix check: turn on the oven, use the "Menu" button to select program 20 (pizza dough) and press "Start". The stove will start kneading (but not immediately, but after 3 seconds), on the panel the operation indicator should stand under the inscription "Kneading".
2. To stop the program, press the "Stop" button (the number of the canceled program will remain on the screen).
3. Heating test (tenov): take out the bucket, by pressing the "Menu" button, select program 12 (baking) and press "Start" - the progress bar is in the "Baking" position.
4. Checking switching and setting selection: select program "1" with the "Menu" button on the screen, the size indicator is in position XL, program 01, time 4.00, the color of the crust is medium. Otherwise, everything is the same as in the old models (only there are two timer buttons - "plus" and "minus")

Can you please tell me what other questions arise constantly? And I remember that somewhere there was almost a video or photograph in the order in which the program was turned on.
Bum
Pliz, help me figure out the timer in Panasonic 257. In which case it lengthens the baking time, and in which case it serves as a delay. I want to set the delay time, but it turns out the baking time. I reread the entire instructions, it says only about the delayed mode. I think this is a feature of Panas's work, so I wrote here.
Rina
On all programs baking bread (namely: <main-baked goods> and <main-baked goods with raisins>, <diet-baked goods> and <diet-baked goods with raisins>, <rye-baked goods>, <French-baked goods>) the timer delays the start.

For the "baking" program, it lengthens the operating time itself (you cannot make a delayed start of this program).

Sorry, I didn't understand, but how does "Basic baking" differ from just "baking" there is BAKE written on the display, this is the basic one. Okay, then teach pliz to make a delayed one? Well, not how I can't. I bake in the basic mode without raisins, on XL and medium crust, but with a timer I just can't delay it ... but I should.
Ksusha
Basic baking includes the whole process - from kneading, to soaking and baking. And just baking is only baked goods.
Sorry, but we didn't try to read the instructions, at least diagonally

Select the program: Main Bake (time on display 4:00). We do not touch the mode, size, crust (your wishes are there by default). Next, click on "Timer". One press adds 10 minutes (respectively, on the scoreboard 4:10, etc.). After setting the desired time (that is, the time after which the bread should be ready), suppose 8:00, press "Start" and after 8 hours we get our bread (4 hours delay + 4 hours main program)

How about reading the instructions carefully? The mode table contains instructions on which mode the snooze timer can be set.

The "Basic" program includes the modes "baking", "quick", "baking with raisins" (a full cycle of kneading and baking bread), "kneading dough" and "kneading dough with raisins" - only kneading and proving the dough.
"baking" is program only baked goods (located on the display under "pizza") - no kneading.

Temperature equalization time for different programs:
Basic - 25-60 minutes
Diet - 1 h -1 h 40 min
Diet fast - 15-25 min
Rye - 45-60 min.
French - 40 minutes - 2 hours 5 minutes

(for a test on Basic, Diet may differ by a few minutes)
Nadyadiak
what happens if the bookmark is for size M? is the program included on XL?
Rina
I do not know. I can assume that the bread will bake a little (but not critical).

If the batch has not started yet, you can reset the program and set it with the necessary parameters. But then the "temperature equalization" time is almost guaranteed to be one hour.

Hello!
A week since I bought SD-256.
Confuses the process of kneading dough.
Immediately after equalizing the temperature, the paddle interferes evenly.
As the dough is kneaded, thickened, the effect of a delay in the movement of the scapula begins to appear, as if it first gets stuck and then only puffs.
The same is in subsequent kneading cycles. It seems to interfere with tension, then it seems like several circles continuously. It seems that there is not enough engine power for uniform kneading, that is, continuous rotation of a piece of dough with a spatula.
The stove is the first, I have not seen the others "live" and I do not know how they interfere.
Logically I understand that the dough is a sticky and viscous product, but hearing these "groans" of the engine and gearbox ... it hurts my heart))
So I want to ask. Is this the way it should be, or is there something wrong in my stove and needs to be carried to the service?
I baked some rolls.
The very first (Normal from the book) seems to work out, but the subsequent recipes are somehow not what we would like. There is a doubt that the dough is not kneaded properly.
And the "kolobok" does not work in the form shown on the forum. That is, he is not even.
Rina
an uneven and unsmooth bun is a lack of water, the dough is too steep, it can be difficult for a bread maker to knead it.

With the fact that the bread is "not like that", you can ask all the questions in the topic Help! Nothing comes out... Write there the recipe, how you measure the ingredients, what the bun looks like and what the results are. It would be nice to have a photo of at least finished bread.
Piligrim
Well, I understand that.
But the very process of kneading and precisely its "mechanical" unevenness - jerks and pauses followed by several continuous rotations, confuses. There is no fact that the bun would roll continuously in shape. After all, the gingerbread man should acquire a round shape precisely from "rolling out" along the walls of the form.
Rina
my second HP just evenly interferes - the dough is kneaded worse there.

And let the bun slap on the walls - it's good for him.
vatruska
Here, we also bought 257 Panasonic. In general, everything seems to be normal, but one thing strains. For the first time, they decided to bake a medium-sized egg, laid everything according to the recipe, put out all the buttons, and the bread almost broke through the lid (at the same time, it was all baked, only very loose). The second attempt is a milk one, here I was jumping around almost the whole process - I controlled the whole bun, the size is medium - again the same. What does that mean? Moreover, the bun was rolling around strangely - the flour remained in the diagonal corners, so I had to carefully scrape it off and push it by hand.
Rina
vatruska, it is rather a question about the recipe, and not about the bread maker. Ask a question in the topic Help! Nothing comes out! (Ambulance)... I have a suspicion that the yeast is too active.

Dear Piligrim, did you manage to solve the problem of scapula motion delay?

I have 257 Panasonic, I've been baking every day for a month. There were no problems. I learned the rule of the kolobok before buying it (thanks again to Admin for the science!). The gingerbread man was kneading, then it was shaken and thrown against the sides of the bucket so that it became smooth and even.
Suddenly, the last 3 breads stopped working. Does not shake, does not hit the bun against the walls. The movements of the scapula are somewhat convulsive and the bun turns out like a fan (not smooth). What is it?
Tell me, who knows what about this? Or is there a service center waiting for me?

Rina
The situation described by Piligrim is not a problem, but a peculiarity of the rotation of the blade precisely in Panasonic. At different stages of mixing, the rotation is different.

Tanya-Fanya, "like a fan" - is it like that, with loafs? You, most likely, have too dry flour, put the same in a bucket, but leave 50-70 grams of flour in a glass. Keep an eye on the bun, if it is liquid, add flour literally half a tablespoon.

If, during these convulsive movements of the scapula, literally half a teaspoon of oil is poured onto the bun from above, then after half a minute the bun, lubricated from the outside, will start dangling around the bucket due to its slipperiness and the scapula will spin evenly. But if the bun is actually too tight, then, as soon as the oil intervenes, problems with convulsions will begin again.
Tanya-Fanya
Rina, thanks a lot for the quick response. Next time I'll try to reduce the flour when laying.
I wish that was my problem.
But it’s annoying that I’ve baked the sesame bread loved by my family for some time already, that is, the recipe has been worked out, the bun was always wobbling and banging against the sides of the bucket. And then - bam Yes, and I poured flour on the kolobok myself, it was wet at first.
Stop, maybe this new sesame has absorbed all the moisture and the kolobok is thirsty? Of all the ingredients, this time there was sesame from the new pack, and the flour from the old one.
Thanks again!

I tried to set a timer this morning to come home from work, and the bread was baked by this time, but I calculated the time incorrectly, tried to drop the program by clicking on "start / reset", there was a squeak, the screen went out, BUT when turned on, the program "Main ", size XL, the crust is dark, and this program has started, that is, the countdown has started.
I could not change the program and set the timer correctly, although I took the plug out of the socket and waited 10 minutes. The program DOES NOT RESET (((I left all the ingredients in the bucket, I come home from work, I press start, I will have to wait until midnight when the bread is baked to take it out.

Recently I bought a Panasonic 2501.: girl_love: The bread turned out to be all 4 times delicious with a crispy crust. But I, as a meticulous user, had some questions. It is assumed that the CP is universal, that is, in the same mode, you can bake different breads in terms of the composition and type of flour. It is clear that the modes differ from each other in temperature and mixing-rise time. But I do not understand how to use this information. Tell us for which recipes (types of bread) you can use the BASIC, DIETARY, and SINGLE-GRAIN modes (classification). And also when to add seeds to RYE bread, if the dispenser does not work on this program, and there is no sound signal. really looking forward to your answers.

And there is also a question about the regimes. Not all programs set the size and color of the crust. As I understand it, the crust color depends on the baking time. And if the finished bread is left on the heating, then the crust will be darker. And how does the size of the bread affect the work of the CP? In RYE mode, neither one nor the other is set. How many ingredients should I use? Did I understand correctly that the size depends on the amount of flour 400gr - 500gr - 600gr?

Programs differ not only in kneading, raising and baking times, but also in the number of boning and temperatures.
1. The "basic" mode is applicable to most recipes. It works best for recipes that require TWO raising of the dough.
2. "dietary" is bread made from whole grain wheat flour, wholemeal flour, often with various additives. There, the modes of kneading and proofing are somewhat different, since the dough is heavier. To understand which recipes are suitable for this mode (as well as for others), you need to bake the bread offered for this mode at least a couple of times by the native Panasonic instructions. The same applies to single-grain (not a mistake? Not multi-grain?)
3. Seeds in "rye" will have to be added either from the very beginning, or having mastered the program, knowing that its kneading will end in two or three minutes. Alas, our dreams of the "rye with raisins" regime have remained dreams.

Quote: GOLD

The color of the crust depends not only on the baking time, but also on the temperature. And heating is no longer baking, the temperature there is very low (if for baking you need about 180 ° C, then to maintain it only 40-60 ° C). If the finished bread is left on heating, then the temperature for further darkening of the crust is simply not enough. The same can be said about the size of the bread. Doughs made from 400, 500 and 600 g wheat flour require different baking times.

General rule: for kneading, lifting and baking different amounts of dough require different amounts of energy. Therefore, sometimes for sweet bread, even large sizes, it is advised to set a small size and a light crust.

For the "rye" mode, look at the proposed recipe in the same instructions, then you will be able to navigate by the amount of flour.

Rina , please tell me if it is possible to use a spatula for rye bread instead of the main one for any program and what function does it have?
If you fall asleep milk powder you need to increase the amount of liquid or does the liquid depend on the amount of flour?
If you add butter, you need to reduce the amount of liquid, and if you add eggs?

Used (for the sake of experiment) a "rye" spatula when baking wheat bread. The quality of the bread was not affected. But the drive wears out and loosens the bucket mount.
IMHO: rye dough is thinner and easily passes between the teeth of the comb; thick wheat dough is not capable of such "feats".

As for other questions, they do not relate to technical issues, which this particular topic is devoted to, but to questions of components for the test.

Model SD-254. They baked it twice. Just white and sweet Arabic bread, on "Basic" and "Bakery" It turned out great. But!!! At the end of the program, the display goes out, "Start / Stop" flashes and there is no signal for the end of the program.Although there was a signal for filling the raisins! This is normal?
Rina
Most likely you just missed the end of the program beep.
A flashing button means the program has ended. Just press it for a second or two, it will beep and go out.
When finished, the screen turns off completely. This is the norm.

If you do not turn off the stove from the outlet, then to set the desired program, mode, etc., start pressing the buttons from left to right, that is, first press the program selection button (main, dietary, French, etc.), then, if necessary, "mode", "size" and only after selecting everything, press the "start / stop" button.

That is, the stove with a blank screen is not turned off, but is in standby mode.

I do not know if this is the topic.
Recently bought Panasonic SD - 2500. We baked it several times. All OK. I read tips, recommendations. I liked wheat with bran very much. It turned out that I bought rye.
I didn’t eat bread tastier.
But - kneaded, followed the kolobok, stood up. Looked in. I was afraid that it was tight. But it fit so well. And suddenly there was some kind of sound - again the stove began to ruffle the bun. The dough has turned into a bun again. Upset - well, whatever happens. But the bread turned out to be wonderful.
But what could it be?

Good day. Please tell me, for dough with rye flour, always use a rye spatula for kneading, or it depends on how much rye flour is in the recipe. Baking custard, with bran, put a rye spatula, and in both cases the bread was poorly stirred, white spots around the edges. First I pour in rye flour, then wheat flour, if of course it matters.
