I always boil 1 glass of cereal. What to do with 4? It's a lot. Cooks well. Just pick up the ratio of cereal-water.

Girls, everyone has their own taste preferences, I guess. I am quite happy with buckwheat in the ratio of 2 MC of buckwheat to 4 MC of water, the "Express" sensor program, after the signal add oil and stir

And not only taste, but also in quantity
I only have a pound of cereal for dinner + in containers with me to work for lunch, or in the morning with milk, or for dinner the next day (when I work 2-3 days a week, I am at home at 23-00, when everyone has already eaten). If you cook less, then you will have to make some other side dish. And rice, if not all eaten, can be frozen, then with vegetables (Mexican mixture, for example) in the same slow cooker. Or salad, or stuffed cabbage rolls or rice.
In general, I cook a lot (and often) for my family.
Thanks to OlennaTM for the method, maybe it will come in handy for me once to cook.

When was your MV purchased?
In the 4502 release of 2012, only in the first lots there was such a function, then it was removed, but the instructions were not corrected for some reason. The Redmond office answers that the manufacturer has the right to make changes, as written in the instructions (from the discussion on the multicooker forum)
if mv is released earlier, then t-ra appears instead of time (as long as you hold the button)

Thanks for the answer. I only have a slow cooker for a week. It is a pity that there is no such function! I would like to know the temperature. Today, the soup did not boil for a very long time, somewhere min. 40. and the countdown went on. I will test further. While generally happy.

Soup never boils violently. Perhaps this is one of the secrets that broth and soup always turn out delicious. Cook with the lid closed. Remove foam when ready. It sticks to the edges of the bowl, making the broth clear. You can first fry the meat in large pieces on Fry, then the foam will be even less. I have several bowls, sometimes I do not remove the foam, but I filter the finished broth through a strainer into the second bowl.
Dot
In Soup mode, soup can run away if there is a lot of shredded cabbage in the bowl (checked). And the meat, so that there is no foam, can be soaked in ice water for several hours before cooking.

Hello!! Today I began to have a multicooker. Already stewed potatoes with pork. Delicious. But a question arose. If I typed something on the display incorrectly and the program I do not need started - HOW TO RESET ?? For example, instead of stewing, I accidentally set cooking. I tried to unplug it from the outlet - the reset did not happen. I beg you to answer !!!

Just press the button - Keep Warm, aka CANCEL, aka OFF.

We also bought such a slow cooker yesterday! We are very pleased with her work! Everything is simple and straightforward. Immediately after the purchase, we started testing. We baked white bread, cooked pilaf with chicken (it turned out beyond praise and we can say without oil at all, literally poured a tablespoon), and in the morning I decided to put semolina porridge for the child on a delayed start. Everything was ready minute by minute on the porridge mode and did not run away anywhere, which I was afraid of. And by the way, somewhere someone wrote that one day he was left without breakfast, because at night the electricity was cut off and the program went wrong. I was also afraid of this and decided to check it myself. I put the program on, the timer, and then pulled the plug out of the socket. Then I stuck it in again and everything was in place as if nothing had happened, the program did not go astray. And now we put the yogurt is being prepared for 5-6 hours at 40 degrees. I think it will turn out great too!

Hello community members and multicooker lovers. I join you! Yesterday I found the dream of the last few months and got involved in the process! I prepared hedgehogs, as in the recipe above, baked a biscuit (it didn't work out, I threw it out, but it's my own fault, I didn't keep the proportions). And on baked goods (I mean biscuits), the top is always white?
Yesterday evening for 2 o'clock I set to stew potatoes with beef and went to bed (class !!!!), and today at 6 in the morning we ate a hot breakfast with our one-year-old daughter and deliciously, just like from a Russian stove, everything boiled down and my little one didn't have to crush.

Congratulations on purchasing a great helper! I think that such a slow cooker will be a joy in your kitchen, it knows how to do everything. I also have such a slow cooker and she never ceases to amaze me with her dishes, how she cooks them perfectly. And on the forums there are so many different recipes that they cannot be overcooked! So join the friendly ranks of the multicooker.

Yes. There are several ways to hide the pale top: just turn the pastry over (I take it out with a steamer), it is pretty upside down, and what is not visible below; brown for a few minutes in the oven under the grill or in the airfryer (the Redmond bowl allows this) - I am in the airfryer; cover the top with powdered sugar (or something else).
The biscuit may not rise if you open the lid too early - the biscuit will settle immediately. If the recipe contains soda (baking powder), then add it (it) to the dough at the very end, you can mix all the liquid components separately, and mix dry components (flour, salt, baking powder) separately, then combine these two mixtures and bake immediately.

A few days ago I became the proud owner of the subject.
There is a problem. I was engaged in cooking on a multibove today. I put rice (whole, 1 kg.), Multi-cook at 120 degrees and 40 minutes. I leave, come back in 20 minutes, when the smell of brew is already around the apartment and steam is pouring out of the steam outlet, and the time on the screen is still forty minutes. I open the lid, there the water is boiling, boiling in full. I closed it, waited another five minutes, the time does not change. I open the lid, the water is almost boiled away, and the rice is not cooked. I fill up the water, close the lid and then I see that the countdown has finally begun, but it's too late! As a result, I cooked for another five minutes, the rice was ready, turned it off for 35 minutes.
What was that, someone will explain?

UPD: There is an answer! Although I figured it out myself, I'm still writing about it here, maybe it will help someone with the same problem.

It should be borne in mind that the boiling point of water is 98-105 degrees Celsius.
From this it follows that pouring water into the bowl and setting the temperature for example 115 degrees, the multicooker will not reach the operating temperature and therefore the countdown will not start.

There it is! And I really thought that my cartoon is faulty.
I also thought about trying to cook at 160 degrees. Like, it will heat more, cook faster. Fool, I admit.

gelert, isn't it easier to cook rice on "Rice"? Why complicate things so much?
I always make rice on cooking or express cooking (programs for rice), the only adjustment is to turn it off 10 minutes before the end of the program, otherwise the bottom is sealed in a crust

By the way, the idea was born, which I will try later. You can empirically choose the cooking time so that the cooking ends a little earlier than the cereal is completely cooked. Then the heating will turn on and on it the groats will reach the final condition and will not burn. I'm right?

Cooking for 25 minutes, if this program is not sensory, that is, the time is not set, but is determined automatically - then do not open the lid during the process - no, no
Michael 2
gelert, if you want to adjust the cooking time of cereals, then I advise you to use the "Multi-cook - T = 100 ° C" program for this. It is able to automatically stop after a specified time at any stage of cooking. The principle of operation of this program is as follows: warming up the bottom to 100 ° C, starting the countdown of the cooking time, maintaining the bottom temperature at about 100 ° C, stopping the program after resetting the counter, automatically starting the keeping warm program. Since the cooking time of cereals is determined by the time it is in boiling water, this program is ideal for cooking cereals: regardless of the mass of the cereal being prepared, the same cooking time is always indicated, depending only on the type of cereal. Probably, the "Cooking - Porridge" program has similar properties. But I can't say this, since I don't have a new (fourth) modification of the multicooker. I have an old (second) one, which instead of "Cooking - Porridge" has "Rice - Roasting".

And I would also like to add, never use stainless steel or ceramic bowls. They have poor thermal conductivity and interfere with the software settings of the temperature sensors. In fact, these bowls can only be used with a steam cooking program or to reheat previously cooked food; all other programs are significantly impaired.

I have been using the ceramic bowl for quite some time now, after 2 months of using the teflon-coated bowl. I did not notice any differences in the work of the programs. Of the advantages: nothing is baked to the bowl, scratches in any form do not bother at all, neither the fact of their appearance (they simply do not exist), nor the potential harm from the destruction of Teflon and the ingress of decay products into food. And I must say that it is the Teflon coating of the bowl of this multi that is very unstable. Scratches appear on it even with the most careful (with my paranoia) handling, as if from any sneeze. I know that there are bowls with a much stronger coating, but from other manufacturers.

I have been using two non-stick bowls for a year soon - quite a decent coating. And I don't really care about them, I put them in the airfryer, bone broth and so on. And in one of them, caramel was very strongly cooked - I thought it was necessary to throw out the bowl, but I was miserable (I boiled water with detergent in the bowl). But the spoons / mittens / spatulas are only silicone - I have a whole set hanging over the MV

Girls! For a week now I have been the proud owner of MV Redmond 4502. The bowl in the kit came with a "double Teflon" coating, so far no complaints. All week in the morning milk porridge (according to the attached recipe book), reading the topic, I see - who cooks how, and I'm on the "porridge" mode with a timer for the whole night. Cooked: semolina, rice, millet. Nothing escaped, nothing burned. I also baked a lemon biscuit, just a biscuit, but I added a little lemon juice. It never worked in the oven. When I took it out, I didn’t use anything at all, just for a minute he stood in the bowl, and then tilted it - he slipped out. She made cottage cheese casserole, baked rye bread, cooked soup "a la cabbage soup", stewed meat with vegetables, fish. And the frying for the soup was fried not on the "multi-cook", but on the "frying" program. After reading about the ceramic bowl, I now also want it. So far I really like everything and not only me, my husband gobbling up something there once again and asked: "And why didn't we buy it before ?!" In general, the test drive is in full swing, I do not really like to cook in life, I caught myself thinking that having acquired this miraculous I am constantly cooking, this is perhaps the only negative for today.

I got this miracle a week ago in Ozone. But without the 101 recipe book. Immediately I began to wool the Internet, how to cook on it. We tried to make milk rice porridge as described on the forums for CF and were not disappointed. The porridge really turned out to be great.
Today I tried to make "Meat Stew". I did everything as in the recipe. Cut and put everything in a saucepan, incl. "multi-cook", set the temperature and time. And he waited, anticipating the yummy. But after forty minutes I was very disappointed. The potatoes were completely undercooked and it was the middle that was not boiled. At the edges, it turned out fine. Regarding meat, and I took pork, I will not say anything, because I have not tried it. What to do? I had to dump everything into a frying pan and finish on the stove. This is how she is - MULTI-COOKER. Cook half in it, and half on the stove. Maybe on the "multicooker" mode it was necessary to give the stew to infuse after cooking, a few hours, Huh? Has anyone tried this recipe?
amateur
The stew was made on the "stewing" mode for 1 hour, everything was ready, the meat was pork.

Stew: I cut everything into pieces no larger than 2 * 2 cm - meat and vegetables (I had: half a small zucchini, 1 eggplant, 1 bell pepper, onion, potatoes, I don’t remember there was something else, I threw everything I saw), instead The tomato took tomato paste, and since I did everything for the first time, I diluted it a little with water. Well, I was confused by the lack of liquid and oil inside (I was afraid it would suddenly burn). I threw everything, salt, pepper and "stew" for 1 hour. Nothing burned, there was enough liquid, it was not dry and the meat was cooked. That's just the "multi-cook" mode I'm still idle (you need to understand what time to set, what temperature, on the stove we cook intuitively - here the fire is stronger, there is weaker, but how much is it in degrees but who is measuring?), Therefore "multi-cook" for me is a dark forest. Do not get upset so immediately, the device is wonderful - in fact.

Now they are preparing canelone stuffed with minced meat (pork, beef). Fried onion and carrots on the "frying" mode for 10 minutes. she put stuffed canelone on them (all raw-dry, not boiled, not fried), poured milk, cream, water and a little sour cream on them. In general, just a little bit, the liquid came out at around 1.5 liters. And the canelones are in two layers. The "extinguishing" mode is 1 hour, but I will look, since I will still try the recipe. It's already been half an hour, there is still liquid, everything is gurgling, it smells delicious. Let's take a look.

Hello, ALKA, and in what proportions do you cook it and from what rice?
Now I cook milk rice porridge only in a mixture of milk and water, Multipovar, 100 degrees, 40 minutes + 15 minutes on heating.
Proportions for thick porridge: 1 multi-glass of round rice (Kuban) + 2 MC of water + 3 MC of milk + salt, sugar, butter to taste.

We were all newbies once
That's right, the Multi-Cook is a "fry" with a manual setting. There is a risk of overcooking the porridge in 1 hour in Soup, and the milk can escape, so it is better to cook in the Multi-Cook and increase the amount of milk. Try to do this, I hope everything works out
ALKA
tell me, "baking" only 50 minutes? Can't set more time?

It used to be like that, but now you can set another time you need. This model has been greatly improved this year: the time has been corrected on many programs, before stewing was at least 2 hours and multi-cook for a maximum of 1 hour, now everything is very convenient. In the ravka mode, the porridge sub-mode was highlighted, if earlier the porridge could escape, now everything is in order.

I measured out with water up to the maximum mark, which is marked in the bowl as 1.8 liters or 10 cups. I measured it again, more precisely. I got 3.5 liters of water.
Why someone gets 4 liters, I can't imagine.

It's simple. When preparing 1 dishes, I did not look at the maximum mark, I poured and poured. So it turns out that 4 is included.

Levitan
the bowls in 4502 and m70 are exactly the same. Rather, the same ones. That is, there is a marking on any bowl that it fits 4502, m70 and several more models.
About several MVs: I need a second multicooker, because one is already not enough - not in volume (there is enough volume), and I don't even want to cook potatoes on the stove, in MV it is much more convenient. For example, if meat is stewed, then at the same time I also need MB to prepare the side dish. And now I have only M70 at home.
If this is your first MV, then buy an additional bowl immediately to it. For example, you have stewed meat and you immediately need to cook something else. And in order not to immediately shift and wash the bowl, you can put the cook in the second one, and calmly deal with the food in the first one.

I'll tell you how I made fries in MV Redmond M4502.
She poured 1.5 liters of oil into a saucepan, turned on fry t 160 degrees and waited until it warms up. Periodically I made samples with potatoes for heating ...
An hour has passed...
Having hesitated (forgive my French) to wait longer, I put the basket with the 1st batch, it was ready in 40 (!) minutes.
The 2nd game turned out better and 5 minutes faster, the 3rd game also worked well in 30 minutes

I made a conclusion for myself - I will never again make fries in MV, - too little power, heating is slow and not enough for high-quality deep fat

so do not flatter yourself with the included basket, make fries on the stove or buy a deep fryer
Mar_k
Hello everybody! Lilya dream of a multicooker, read reviews and specifications for a long time and came to the conclusion that I want Redmond RMC-M 4502 or M-70 ,. the main thing for me is to bake bread and make yogurt for the kids. Please tell me who made such goodies, you need to buy a separate glass bowl for yogurt or make it in the attached one. Thank you in advance
Levitan
No containers are included for yoghurt. I made them in glass baby food jars. You can adapt any container (containers), preferably with a lid (you need to cover it so that condensate does not drip), the main thing is that they can be sterilized before cooking (after all, milk for several hours at T 40 is better for more sterility)
Mar_k
Thank you so much for your answer! Immediately a question, is sterility ideal (as with conservation) or it is enough to wash it in a dishwasher.
Levitan
The PMM is enough. It's just that experts in yoghurt starter cultures (representatives of companies) recommend making yogurt without additives, so that with sweet additives, no byaka, which can accidentally get into at home, does not develop in a warm-sweet environment for many hours (sterility at home is still worse than at a factory). But at my own peril and risk, I make it out of sweet milk, I like to add something less to the finished yogurt.
