Cooking method

  • To prepare couscous, you need to take couscous and water in equal proportions. Pour boiling water over the couscous, stir, let it swell and transfer to a double boiler / pan with a colander / cartoon. In short, steam and leave for 5 minutes.
  • Separately stew meat \ in my case pork ribs \ with vegetables.
  • After the cereals are removed from the steam bath, pour over them generously with the sauce from the container where the stew was prepared. Pieces of meat are placed in the center, and vegetables next to it \ I really mixed everything \. Couscous is ready!

Basically, I got it similar to what I ate in Tunisia.
BUT I have a ready-made couscous from Tunisia and harisa seasoning from there.
And if you do everything from the available means \ in the sense of making the cereal yourself and adding the seasonings that are at hand \ then, probably, you get porridge with meat, which, in principle, in my opinion, couscous is.
However, now you can buy everything in a supermarket in a large city.
YES, and in my opinion, a multicooker for cooking couscous is the very thing.
Since, while the meat and vegetables are stewed, you can put a steamer container with couscous.
