Jamie Oliver's Basic Bread Recipe

Ingredients

If mixed by hand according to the original recipe, the proportions are:
Flour 1 kg
Fresh yeast 30 g
Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
Salt 1 tbsp. l.
Water 625 ml
For a bread maker, half the portion is suitable, which Cubic kindly helped me calculate:
Flour 500 g
Fresh yeast 15 g
Sugar 1 tbsp. l.
Salt 0.5 tbsp. l.
Water 300 ml

Cooking method

  • Jamie Oliver does not use a bread maker, he kneads the dough with his hands, like our grandmothers - he makes a deepening of flour in a hill, adds yeast, a little water, salt, sugar.
  • As you can see, there is no oil in this recipe, but the dough did not suffer from this, it rose well, and it was very easy to work with it.

I made it for a roll according to Jamie Oliver's recipe again (bread roll with ham, cheese, egg and basil).
