Girls, while I'm in Ukraine, tell me where to order a 3.5 liter slow cooker, I really want one for myself. Unfortunately, I'm in Dn-Dzerzhinsk, I went around all the shops, nothing that I need is not. Therefore, only through the online store, you can also get to Dn-Petrovsk, but if you know exactly which store to go to.
Right now, in Moscow, there are 3.5L slows - the link was recently. So what's the point to drag from Ukraine? It's heavy.

Yes, it's bad with oval lids - there is no replacement for them, probably there was some hidden damage, it's a pity, of course, the music didn't play for long ...
In this regard, the round slow steers.

Even though a lid, even a saucepan - one compote, you need to buy a new one. I can’t even imagine myself without my MVD.

Sadly, try to go to the glazier (do you have a glazier's shop on the market?), Ask him to cut an oval slightly smaller than the lid, then buy a silicone tube (namely silicone, sold on the market or in medical equipment), cut it lengthwise and put it on the edge of the glass as gasket The hole for the handle is easier to drill if you have a tool.
PS can not necessarily be shredded from glass, try to carve out of metal ... By the way, and the lids from ducklings (glass and cast-iron) are not suitable?

Girls and boys, do you know if Morocco has electric tajines and are they like slow cookers? My husband will go on a business trip to this country in November, and I am already making a list of souvenirs

Erhan I think you can find it, but you need to ask either in local stores,
or search in online stores.

As I understand it, tagine and slow cooker are completely different cooking principles.

Masha, please write in detail how you cooked it. With meat? Or ready-made broth? How did you do it? I never got to the soup. I have not found detailed step-by-step instructions anywhere, but I want a soup from a slow one. Looks pretty tempting.
Oca
Svetlana62, the same, did not find a recipe for a regular soup! Even on Google. I summarized what I read about soups and tried to cook. The plans changed on the go, but "you can't spoil the soup with a couple of extra hours at MVD"

Ingredients:
2 wings + chicken fat (you can use the one that is heated in the AG, I collect it for frying),
(all fruits are about the size of a fist :)
4 potatoes,
1 tomato
0.5 large carrots
0.5 onions
2/3 multi-cups of vermicelli (I think you can replace with rice)
dill, parsley, black peppercorns, laurel flipper, a tablespoon of salt (with a small slide).

16:00 - 2 chicken wings, 3 peppercorns, 1 small leaf of lavrushka poured very hot water in a pot and put it on Hai. She peeled the vegetables, cut off the fat from the chicken from under the tail (usually there is a good chunk) and put onions and carrots on it in a slow cooker to fry. A little water had to be added at the beginning until the fat started to melt. I cut the potatoes into strips. After 10 minutes, I added a finely chopped tomato to the onion. I will digress, I do not like heavily fried vegetables in soup, but you can make it to your liking.

4:40 pm - the kettle boiled again. Then I lowered myself and first poured water into MdV, and then began to lower the potatoes and fried-stewed onions - I had to scoop up the excess water so that the lid was not in the water. The maximum level of broth before laying vegetables should be 3 fingers below the groove for the lid. Salted, closed the lid, left on Hai.

18:30 - bell, you have to go to the city. Soup a little with foam on top, but finally does not show signs of boiling, too much soup in the pot. I transferred it to Low and drove through all the traffic jams ...

22:40 - returned home, remembered that I had not put rice in the soup! She fell asleep with vermicelli and turned off MdV, letting it brew for 15 minutes under the lid. Before serving, sprinkled with fresh herbs (you could add 1 chopped clove of garlic).

23:00 - photo session and soup tasting Hurray! The potatoes are not wooden, and the chicken even fell apart into three parts.
Two portions are already missing in the photo at MVD, if it had not been poured into the plates, they were not allowed to photograph. It turned out tasty, did not expect)))

Ol, and you are waiting for Russel Hobbs. If yes, then there is an instruction in Russian. True, there is not much written there, which we do not know, but still. In any case, the temperatures are indicated

Yeah, Lyud, I'm waiting for her. And from the same store as you. AF I had without a word in Russian. But it is very easy to operate, and in the internet I downloaded something like an instruction.
If, suddenly, I don’t understand at DVA, I’ll pester you. I hope no one minds.

Masha, thank you very much for the recipe! I, too, googled, and other forums wool - everywhere either without meat, or in ready-made broth. And I really wanted a normal soup, eh ...: girl_in_dreams: Now I'll cook! Wednesday will be a day off, so I'll do it. She herself would not have dared to improvise. Well, I'm a chemist, everything is according to the instructions ... And the result must be known. And if something is wrong, that's it, execution. I'm joking, of course, I'm exaggerating, but the truth is somewhere nearby.
Thank you!

Please, please! Our soup is gone, and tomorrow morning I will put a new one from a retired chicken, with mushrooms and rice, I will try to photograph the whole process and arrange it. I will cook on Hai for 4 hours, and then I will look at the hardness of the meat
Olya_
Mash, does the DVA seem to have no timer? Will you manually switch in four hours?
Oca
Yes, Olya, for this in the kitchen there are two Chinese clocks with alarms: for a multicooker, which has a stew of 3 hours or longer, and for a slow one. I have Morphy Richards 3.5L, there are three modes: High, Low and Medium. There is a desire to screw an electronic unit to it, but my hands do not reach ...

Plans are changing, I will leave again, I put the chicken for broth on Hai, it has not defrosted for 24 hours.

Well damn, all day for nothing. My husband was finishing the soup, I could not follow the process, now I just turned it off. At about 11 pm, I took out a chicken (it's still harsh, an infection! I won't buy such), and put the vegetables. Soups are eaten quickly, this is hardly enough for 2 days, and then I'll make a new one.

For those who do not have a slow cooker, who need it, and to buy, there is no opportunity (for all sorts of reasons).

The idea is this:
Any multicooker should have a mode of keeping warm (that is, when cooking ends, the multicooker does not allow the cooked dish to cool down and maintains a rather high temperature for as long as you like (my UNIT USP-1010 pressure cooker keeps ~ 82 degrees).
In fact, this is a slow cooker.

You put the ingredients in the bowl, pour boiling water, set a shorter program (1 ... 2 minutes in duration) and turn off the multicooker when necessary (at least in a week).

So I made a ham in a ham maker (it languished for 12 hours) - it worked.

Or maybe this is still a hasty conclusion and the kuru had to be darkened after boiling on Low until it was completely broken down and left the bones. I always buy specially homemade (or farm) soup chickens (not broilers) and they boil it down to the exact same state as I described above. And zaaaapah, a real rustic broth with a golden hue, but it lasts six or seven hours, four - until it boils, then it will boil a little, I transfer to Low and until the victorious end of the running chicken

If you cook ham in a ham maker, then this is the way out. For everything else, the meaning is lost, because.A slow cooker is certainly simmering, but simmering in a ceramic, glazed, eco-friendly bowl compared to a multicooker's non-stick coating or the short-lived so-called ceramic. In a slow cooker, the pot is definitely ceramic, you can kill it. And the ceramic coating of multicooker bowls is just a dusting. I myself love my multi, but for long cooking I use the slow cooker.

Svetlana62
I completely agree with you, I had a slow one before MV and SV, and so it has been working for almost 5 years and there are dishes that, no matter how hard you try, will not replace the best multipark

I tried it, 3 hours on Hai (+ poured hot water) the bubbles went, a little foam gathered, then another 5 hours at Medium power (after which patience ran out) - the same harsh chicken, only in profile

Hurray, I'm glad that everything worked out! Yeah, very tasty! Only yesterday I cooked half-cooked potatoes and rice + vegetables on Hai for 1 hour (poured into the ready-made hot broth), and then turned it off and threw it in a slow cooker until morning. Nothing turned sour, just cooked, here:

Masha, I'm waiting for a FULL boil on Hai, to a real seething boil, like on a stove, and only after that I switch to Low. And it turns out that your chicken did not boil for real went to an even more gentle mode, so do not do it
Stafa
And I usually put everything on high for 1 hour, then I switch to low and go to sleep.
Oca
Rusja, thanks for the advice! Well, I had to go, and I was afraid that there would be even more foam, so I left it on the Middle. Even before buying MDV, I was interested in whether she could switch modes herself and whether it was necessary to sit next to her, since this does not always work out. Here is the minus of an inexpensive slow-motion device - it does not know how to switch on and off itself. I'll try to adapt.
PS Still the breast remained, boom to boil it.
rusja
but it's not about the high cost, such a design of all the slow ones that I had to meet on the CIS market, I have not so cheap Kenwood and there is no timer provided either

I have Russell Hobbs firmly on the table, only 3 legs

It stands firmly, but if you move the full one, then you need to be careful not to tumble.

I do not move the whole thing, but the ceramic bowl - it walks inside me a bit.
For cereals, so as not to grind from the tenovy side - I pull the bowl forward - closer to the speed switch and away from the shade.
If I cook liquid dishes, then I move them back, closer to the back wall, to the heating element, and with this action, when the liquid is poured to the very top, my MVV may try to make a brykako, but I am already a scientist, now I am cautious
Lyalya Toy
Yes? I do not move at all and therefore did not even pay attention to how many legs she had.
I have very little space in the kitchen and if I put something to cook, then the saucepan is worth
from start to finish in one place.

So, on the whole, on the table MDA stands in one stationary place.
