Nasa13, Natalia, how nice it is to read messages like yours! And there were no conditions, but the tea was made. and it turned out.
Thank you, Natasha, for your kind words addressed to us. It is very pleasant that our recipes and tea-makers have inspired you to make wonderful tea in the wrong conditions!
Wott. You see, guys ... We said and continue to say that Ivan tea cannot be spoiled. But it turns out that it can be done almost on the knee.
Natasha, I can imagine how easy the process will seem to you if you make tea in more civilized conditions. Good luck in life and in the tea field!

Girls, tell me what I'm doing wrong. I collect the boxes unopened. I specify, both green and pink. I try not to take very large and very elastic ones. I'm fading. And already in the process of drying, they begin to open. Then I put it in the refrigerator in the hope of interrupting this process. Freezing and scrolling still not completely thawed. I observe how the deformed boxes release fluff at the mouth of the meat grinder. That is, some of the boxes have fluff in any way. This can be seen on the milled pellets. I do it in half with the leaves, so it can be clearly seen. In principle, this does not bother me, but somewhere in a message on the forum, the girls wrote that when fluff gets in, tea acquires the smell of a baked crust. I don't want that. I understand that some of the boxes I have collected are ready for the breeding process. The question is how to define them? Or don't give a damn about it? Tell us, what is your percentage of fluff in your finished tea? Well, not up to grams, of course ... More: https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...=com_smf&topic=428503.440
mironirina, Ira, it's simple! Time has already passed for Fuzzy, that's the whole secret! the key word in the name of this tea is UNRUPE !!! That is, they should not open either during collection or during withering - even in a diaper, even on it. And you have already begun to open up. In short, time has passed ... I understand that I want to make this tea. But the result will not be pleasing, because tea smells like bread from mature boxes. Last year, at the close of the Ivan-tea season, I made so many tea from boxes ... In general, from those that have already begun to open. And I threw it away - I threw three kilograms of tea, it was not a pity. But tea from unripe boxes now surprises me more and more. This is such a great tea. And not at all tart, as some girls write. Tough and rude, he becomes mature. and also bread ... So, you need to slow down on the boxes somewhere at the end of July. And then, collect them somewhere along the edge of the woods, in the shade. We saw that the boxes are pushing, that's enough ... No need to make this tea. There are leaves, after all ... And garden scent ..
Quote: Vityunya Turgenevsky
when making fluffy tea, however, like ordinary tea, the finished product turns out to be too light in color, why is this happening? Maybe the oven temperature is not 100 degrees?
Vitunya Turgenevsky, Victorto answer your question, you need to know what kind of tea you made.
Light tea is obtained from the boxes. This is his peculiarity. And from the leaves because they were not crumpled enough. Or, indeed, the temperature is low. Try to fry for 150 degrees 30 minutes. The tea will darken. And tastier.
mironirina
lappl1Lyudochka, I was not too lazy and chose all the boxes from frozen raw materials. There was too much of it, it became a pity if it did not work out. Made tea according to all the rules. Oh, how wonderful it turned out. Hanging in a bag, I go up, press it to my nose and sniff. It smells barely audible, but it warms up with breath and smells begin to "peep through".
Lyudochka, thank you for your science and patience! My hundredfold wishes of health to you!
Nadyushich
Luda, you shouldn't have thrown tea out of the boxes! I also smelled like bread, but I removed it as you taught, now it does not smell like bread. And there is enough strength and astringency in it ...
Radushka
Nadyushich, Nobody answers me in the gazebo !!! What to do with DRY ivanushka leaves?

Like GalinaIve did, sprinkled with water, wrap it for a while, and then twist it. If I don't confuse anything ...
Radushka
Hope, I do not even know. Reluctance to use as a raw material ... Hunting to add tea with garden
mironirina
lappl1, Lyudochka. I, making the first teas, tried a large leaf, and there were% 50-60 boxes in it. The finished tea looked unsightly, the fluff stuck out, the boxes were half opened. And the tea itself was quite decent, only it took up a lot of space. I decided to refine it and chose all the boxes from dry tea. She didn't throw them away. Out of curiosity, I brewed them and was very surprised. Of course, this tea looked strange in a cup. Like a lump of cotton wool floating in a cup. But! The taste was very interesting, did not resemble either a crust or baked bread at all. Quite a tea taste, only more tart. Color as medium welding. So it is unlikely that the presence of fluff gives the tea a bready flavor.
Elena Kadiewa
Radushka, sprinkle with some water and wrap in a sheet, then add to the rest. So Galyaiv did.
Or right into the freezer?
I don’t know, I didn’t do anything like that ...
Radushka
elena kadiewa, Yeah. Sprinkle, as it ceases to be dry, twist with garden. I will not add to the green ones. What if it doesn't taste good with these?
Mila1
Radushka, I also sprayed with water. put it on the damp leaves and wrapped it in a duvet cover. Everything worked out ok
Radushka
Ludmila, I have already twisted with garden and ferment. I just don't know ... it takes 3 hours to start drying in 3-4 hours, it should finish drying. Will there be enough time to ferment? Gardening I do everything this year, really
Mila1
Radushka, I can't tell you here, as a rule, fermentation turns out at night
Veleslog
Fuzzy turned out to be awesome. It's a pity I was going to make it late and made only 700 grams. Most of all people like how white tea becomes dark. No wonder they sell it in Moscow for 7 thousand per kilogram. It's worth the money.
Elena_Kamch
And I did a mix: boxes, buds and leaves. There were the most boxes in percentage terms. Very interesting tea turned out
Radushka
Tease again?
And my cats stomped on Ivanushka's landing! And sticking sticks everywhere, they still climb! You will scout here with them

I also made such tea, but it was almost equal in total, sooo delicious tea! Some boxes were not impressed, but the co-worker is super !!!

I also noticed that adding ivanushka to any mix greatly improves the taste. I used to make ivanushka separately, and other leaves separately, and when I made a lot of ivanushka, I began to add to other leaves and regretted that I had not done this before. The taste is greatly improved! Although country tea is delicious in itself, it tastes even better with ivanushka. It's a pity I discovered it too late ... I don't know if I will like what to do this year, but already I greedily look at the young leaves and the caterpillar wakes up appetite ...
Yuri K
Nadyushich, I agree with you! For some reason I didn’t like it individually as in a mixture with leaves!

And also, and also, from me Luna Nord received an amazing offer! But this is a secret, it may not work, she did not have time to read my answer in PM yesterday
Radushka
Yuri K, - intriguing?)))

RadushkaI hope Ivanushka wins! He's like a weed
This year I will be without that productive area I will have to make mixes from what the hands will fall
Well, I hope for a harvest of raspberry leaves! My husband got carried away - raspberry + thyme. I drank all my raspberries
Radushka
Elena_Kamch, Helen, raspberries are out of competition (there will always be leaves!). And you can diversify it with anything. Any aromatic herbs. Thyme, mint, catnip, lemon balm, and basil are different

I also did this, but I also added raspberries to it, about equal parts of ivanushka and raspberries. Vkusnoooo.
I decided that I would only do this. Well, maybe I'll add some cherries to it.

I am now reading topics about our seagulls, and I remembered about my last year's fluffy.
The fact is that it turned out so that when I just cooked it, my mother and I immediately tried it and were in great delight. And taste and aroma - everything was on top. And after several months, subject to the same storage with other species, it began to smell quite differently, but much worse. Something not even sweet, but salty, and I would say, the smell. Something like dill.
The rest of Ivanushka, as befits, only becomes more beautiful.
I wonder if this is just me?
ANGELINA BLACKmore
Hello. Tell me, is it necessary to wither? I'm afraid that they will fly in peace at night))
Loksa
Natashawill not fly! dry after scrolling, now they will not fly yet.
ANGELINA BLACKmore

dried after scrolling
I do not understand .... I read it carelessly or what? ..... Is it dry after granulation? In my understanding, I collected it, broke it into a sheet, dried, then into a meat grinder into granules, then fermented and dried .... What's wrong with this algorithm, tell me.
Here's an excerpt from the recipe on the first page:
"For withering, you need to spread the boxes on cotton or linen with a thin layer so as not to stir them up."
Natalo4-ka
I was lethargic, we had a lot of rain before the collection, if the weather is dry and hot, then it is quite possible to miss this stage. And they will "fly" only when they dry, we will not wait for this? And if three-five-ten in the total mass open up, you should not pay attention to this, they are still quite juicy and after twisting they will not be seen at all.
ANGELINA BLACKmore
Spread them dry last night. Today I granulate and will ferment. Just don't know how long box tea is fermented.
Natalo4-ka
It depends on what you like, the recipe itself describes three options with impressions of them: fermented, unfermented and fermented with leaves. Take your pick.
ANGELINA BLACKmore
Oh, well, I re-read the recipe and SEE)))))
I sent the other half to fermentation. Fermented for 12 hours.
Loksa
ANGELINA BLACKmore, I did not write it that way, it is necessary to wither (freeze), and then twist and ferment. Sorry Natasha!

Oksan, that's why we are here and are conducting dialogues in order to find the truth, among mistakes)) But the one who does nothing is not mistaken. Everything is normal. I immediately, after your post, began to reread the sequence and calmed down.
Here the boxes have withered (almost a day). Granulated - the meat grinder chewed the dried boxes with pleasure. The mass turned out to be not wet, but pleasantly wet. The granules are pretty. Fermented for 12 hours. Dried in the oven at T = 150 * C two runs for 10 minutes, with intermediate stirring. Now I dry it in the dryer, at T = 65 * C. About smells - during fermentation it smelled like fireweed, but it seems not)) When dried in the oven, it smelled sour-herbal.When I laid it out on the trays of the dryer, the smell resembled rye bread. At first, the dryer did not smell. And by the end of drying, a honey smell appeared. Slim and cuddly. So far, I'm happy with the result. Let's see what happens after pre-fermentation.
Lyudochka, thanks for the recipe.
marinulka
So I made my furry.
I picked up a bag of boxes. But she could not resist, she also took a little leaves))
Ivan-tea Fluffy (from immature seed bolls)
I did it. I twisted the leaves separately, separately the boxes.
Ivan-tea Fluffy (from immature seed bolls)
Fermented overnight, dried in the dryer in the morning.
And now my fluffy is ready!

Well, here I came. I made tea from boxes in different ways, now it is being dried and fermented with leaves. Pure tea, without additives, turned out to be very strong. Until I got into it. In the mixture, I think it will be good. Now it will be ready in the airfryer, I'll try. And I thought I would be left without roses. And today they brought me both dry petals and fresh, fresh dried ones, while they were steaming in the bath, at home I twisted small sausages with my hands and put them on fermentation for 3 hours. They promised to bring more roses. And I will still try to make boxes, since there are a lot of Vanka, and everything has just begun.

Thanks to the Author for the recipe. As it turned out, he not only threatened, but did the same). Hands were shaking with impatience ... I brewed even undried granules ... I was impressed with the result. Sent to dry in pillowcases. I tried to adhere to the recipe, the raw materials are true not only boxes, but also a little with flowers turned out to be grabbed, dried 24, meat grinder, fermentation 24. On the upper palate, some kind of astringency is felt, perspiration, like from a tannin.

More than a week has passed and my "Fluffy" started playing in a completely different way, all 3 types. which one is the best is hard to say, all are good. Many thanks to the author of the recipe Lyudmila and everyone who shares their experience in making tea!
Clement
And I just found it today, I learned about the fluffy, I run to collect boxes.
Clement
Veleslog, you are in Khabarovsk and do you know how much tea is sold in Moscow? : from where

Lyuda Anyuta Marina and other Girls tell me. you have been doing fluffy for several years. you collect boxes with flowers together or leave flowers. who can try both with flowers and without. how to collect intelligently?

Ludmila, fate favored me by chance, thank you, thank you very much, I drink fluffy Ivan tea.

The recipe says with flowers. but there are many of them, I wonder if they will sort out the taste. yes, perhaps not so important. Prepared the first batch of fluffy. Magical, just magical. I dried it in the garage, so wasps from all over the area flew to me, I was afraid to approach the dryer. so they were attracted by the furry. It's a pity I didn't have time to taste the white pink, but nothing, next year I will taste both May and pink
Citizen
Inspired by the first success, when he collected the bolls for a sample, which had just formed on the stems, he rushed after 11 days only for the bolls, since the leaf was already beaten. I picked up a basket, dried it (24 hours), no pushing, only some of the boxes tried to open, twisted, the granules turned out strong the first time. Dry (day), the shape is a little warm, the smell, everything is as expected. Drying 70 gr. Drying. Test control brewing in a thermos in the evening ... and absolutely no taste. Like water. My just nobody understood anything, they thought that I was playing them. When I did, I used to say that LONDON splashed his hand and all that. And here it is (What is it? Girls, think, what could it be? Of course I sent it to dry fermentation.
Yes, here's another thing: the first batch of pellets from boxes (trial) turned out to be heavier and darker, and the second batch of granules was light and light.
Natalo4-ka
Citizen, tea is different because different degrees of maturity of the boxes, in my opinion. Set it aside, do not touch it for a couple of months. Do you like green (May) apples? no? and ripe? ... give the tea the opportunity to ripen and it will surprise you
Citizen
Natalochka, thanks for the consolation! I hope and hope for time, in this case it works for us! Is Ivan growing up in Belarus? I lived in Polatsk for a couple of years and somehow did not meet, in the Gomel region, too, did not meet.

When I prepared my first batch of Ivan's tea, I packed it in paper bags, gray, such as from under sugar, and left them right there in the kitchen on top of the cabinet. She lies and lies, but a day, a week, a month passes and in the kitchen I suddenly don’t know such a scent of fruit, the garden began to smell like raisins, and every day stronger and stronger. then I realized where the smells were coming from, and put all the tea in glass jars, although the smells are pleasant, you won't be able to smell them all day long, you know. The taste of the tea also changed, it became so richer, I tried it freshly made, the fruit notes in it were barely perceptible, and then they blossomed. really I sweeten it, drink sweet, it is in sweet tea that I find fruit, honey shades for myself
Citizen
On the left, the capsules were collected earlier, the granules are strong, heavy. On the right - collected a week later, the granules look strong, but when rubbed, they are loose, light, light. After filling for storage, they gradually subsided (you can see how much in the photo, it was almost under the lid). Only stuff the pillows with such. The taste is far from impressed. Maybe I was wrong somewhere ... Ivan-tea Fluffy (from immature seed bolls)

Thank you girls for the recipes. Tried different teas until I made "fluffy", very good! I will try to improve it, because no one else wants to drink other tea, only it. Everyone who has tried it drinks only it, and now Ivan-tea, I'm afraid, will not be enough. Did it your way, dried for 2 days, fermented for 8 hours. Dried at a hundred degrees.
Best regards, Sergei
