Lyudmila, I’m rather not a fan of strong aromas. I have a very delicate nose, like a search watchdog! I just didn't expect the natural scent of the leaves to be so intense! (the question arises - why do manufacturers use chemistry for aromatization, if natural can be demolished?) I will try to add cherries drop by drop to other teas. In general, my box with various dried-fermented leaves smells so hard that it's hard to stand next to it - a perfume shop! (although there are not 17kg of them, but quite a few)
filirina, Irinameans you are highly sensitive to odors. I, actually, too. But I really like the tea aroma. Of course, you can add a little cherries to other teas. And you can find a connoisseur of such tea and please him with a mono-cherry gift.
Ira, why does your box with tea supplies smell so strongly? Is it not hermetically sealed in jars? No matter how the whole smell disappears ...

Ladies, as soon as I buy the butter, I'll do it, because I only know butter and grated cocoa by grams, I do the rest by eye - but this recipe won't work right there)) I'll have to measure and weigh. And at first I rolled sweets from it with different fillings and scraps, then I added nuts and raisins, and recently I began to simply prick and store them in containers) True, it leaves very quickly ...

My stomach ached badly, but I could not even imagine that the reason was purchased tea.
Of course, commercial tea contains caffeine. This is the main enemy of the stomach. Especially if you drink tea on an empty stomach. All tea tasters in China, India, Japan have an occupational disease - gastritis and ulcers. And they fail early ...
So our tea is such a way out! flete, I am very glad that you like the tea ... So I wish you until next season to somehow resolve the issue with its twisting - either get a good meat grinder, or helpers for twisting it.

I, too, will put in my five cents since they started talking about sores. I have a myomatous node, we are monitoring it with the doctor, we take medications, but I also drink tea, Ivan tea, I feel better, there are no ailments such as I had in the last autumn and winter, I raised hemoglobin from 90 to 132 units. I'm going to do an ultrasound scan, I hope for good results.
Gulya, I'm very happy for you! I am sure that everything will be fine with you.

flete, and I want chocolate ... Or rather, a recipe! So I will wait for him with all the girls ...

Thank you, I will definitely post it) After homemade this chemistry, which is now being sold, I cannot eat ... We lived - often chocolate is out of tune in my hands ...

My tea is packaged in zip-lock bags. They are hermetically sealed. Yes, and I got a little tea - I did it for testing. They smell from the middle of summer and it seems to me that they are getting stronger and stronger. (or maybe it's my nose again ...) Yes, Lyudmila, I nervously react to smells, even to good ones ...

And I just hold on ... There are no shops at all in my village! Only a shop once a week ... But I will read the recipe with pleasure and I will also follow the topic.Maybe I'll ripen ... So I also vote for the creation of a soap making topic ...

So I wish you until next season to somehow resolve the issue with twisting it - or buy a good meat grinder
By the way, about the meat grinder - I have an old (12-15 years old) Moulinex - chewed everything, indiscriminately. I didn’t freeze anything, I just pried it. And dryish raspberries and tough cherries and viscous lemongrass and actinidia and harsh strawberries. So Moulinex got a "5" for tea procurement work! (it seems to me that everyone would be interested to know the names of our tea heroes-assistants, especially those who do not have them or need to be replaced)

Good evening. On Sunday we had very good weather and I took my bags of leaves to the dacha. I made a garden out of them, sprinkled them on top with branches and a little tops from late flowers, which I cut off, since they still promised frost. Oh, and I was pleased. And in the evening I received a mailing list from Sergei Dyakov (I signed up for growing carrots from him using the link given by Lyudmila). I read it ... I was terribly upset. It turns out I did it wrong. It was necessary to rake the foliage, but they collected it from a pile for me and it was good on top, but a little burnt inside. I wrote to Dyakov asking for help. And he answered me. That in the spring I will correct my mistakes. And study mulching in detail.
I'm going to read, I have written a lot here these days, I do not have time to read everything.

Lyudmila, so the most natural soap is cooked from fat by saponification with alkali. If you strongly entice it, like with teas, you don't really need shops!

My tea is packaged in zip-lock bags. They are hermetically sealed. Yes
Irina, they are hermetically closed! I do not argue. But in some incredible way, polyethylene allows odors to pass through. Even if you put something odorous in 2 - 3 bags. I was convinced of this many times. The last time I got so pierced was with dried dill umbrellas, rolled before drying in a meat grinder. First, I put the dill in 2 flour paper bags, then - in 3 plastic bags. Everything was tied up very tightly and sealed. This smell really hovers in the place where the package is stored.
By the way, our Anya (Anyuta73) witnessed how I unpacked this "doll" from the packages. But dill, stored in the same container as tea, does not allow anything like it.
P.S. by the way, the dill prepared in this way disappointed. At first it was beautiful green and smelled great. And now it's brown and smells like regular dried dill. That is, not very ...
flete
By the way, I also have Moulinex - it grinds well, I'm just afraid to burn it) Therefore, I usually grind only half of a large bag. It's better to wait than buy a new one later) She is already 3 years old, usually I grind meat on it for cats) And then the leaves began)
flete
I, too, poured tea into the zip-lock, and then I read in the topic that it is better not to - Lyudmila, you wrote and began to transfer it to other containers. And yes, the smell from the package box was just crazy - I had a cherry there.

Girls, I drank apricot tea, my head ached less. Girls, and I made homemade vinegar, on honey, according to the book Housekeeping in 1958. If I need to show you the recipe for the ladies, I don't want to draw up a separate recipe, only for you lovely ladies. The result is a color similar to apple cider juice and tastes like apple cider vinegar.
lappl1
Vika, Thank you ! Come on, write ... We need ... Is that apple cider vinegar? Or some other?
Vikul, drink some more tea! The head will completely stop hurting ...

Girls, now I was reading about ash soap and came across such information about plain red rowan... Moreover, its leaves:
If there is no good water nearby, pour water into a bucket, put rowan leaves there. As recent studies have shown, bacteria in rowan water die completely... Phytoncides and natural antibiotics of mountain ash compete with ions of silver, chlorine and activated carbon. Sometimes in the cellar, red rowan leaves are scattered over the potatoes so that late blight does not hit.
Yes, this season she remained underestimated by us ... We need to fill in the gaps for next year.

Lyudochek, no, not apple, on honey. Ingredients water, honey or sugar, a crust of black bread, yeast. The recipe is old, this is when there was no chemical vinegar, people somehow got out. As the daughter is free, wait for two photos, one with a jar, and the second recipe from the book.

I wonder how! I have never even heard of such vinegar. My mother used to make apple cider ... And we drank it for health. But they didn't even try it on honey ...

We have a soap making topic https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=37564.0
But now they mainly show soap from the base, only the molds are different. Beauty, in general, is shown. It is necessary to "dilute" the topic with recipes. For several years I have only been using my own soap, as well as balms, creams ... Only natural products.
Lack of shops and soap making components is not a reason for refusing to cook your own soap. You just "step" up a notch at once, you will immediately cook soap from scratch. Bypassing the stage of spending on soap chemistry.

I have had a Mulinex meat grinder for seven years already, coped with the leaves, although it worked intermittently. It has a weak point, this is the auger, or rather the auger tail that we insert into the motor. : girl_haha: I do not know whether I wrote it clearly or not. So, in the process of work, if you heavily load the meat grinder, no matter what meat or leaves, and push this tail with force can fall off, there is experience.

I agree that it is not the reason! Only I am crushing something ... How I read about explosions and burning of the body with the composition ... True, I read little. Maybe I'll still be inspired ...
And about pear vinegar is also very interesting. Only the pear season is over. So far I have found these same pears for the recipe for pear jam with mistletoe coffee, 2 weeks have passed ... Listen, 15 liters of vinegar !!! Well this is where you can use so much? Probably, you also define a part for gifts?

Antonina, Thank you ! For me, this topic is a joy ...
And with soap everything is not clear yet. Moreover, I know that if you can cook soap without expensive additives, using improvised raw materials, then I will definitely not buy anything. Find an exact recipe without explosions and burns ... What I managed to read does not add optimism yet. I started making tea three years ago, essentially without recipes. I was wrong, I threw it out. But there was no danger, only wasted raw materials. And I have a lot of it - fireweed fields and my own garden for 20 apple trees. Well, all the neighboring gardens are available to me.
so I think I'll deal with the soap. Moreover, we have such experienced soap-makers in our tea theme.

And I also found a young jasmine bush, just did not have time to collect the leaves. And I have joy, my first tea, made on September 30, peach and currant stopped smelling like hay and began to emit a delicate honey smell and taste Luda thank you very much !!!! Good day to all! Take me to your company, please!
We have been preparing our teas for many years, we do not buy in the store.
I haven't read the whole topic, maybe there is such a way of fermenting the leaves of Ivan tea, but I'll write how we prepare it, maybe someone will come in handy in the new season.
We rip off a leaf in the forest, bring it home. We mash a handful of leaves with a rolling pin until darkening and sap appears. Roll up very tightly, tightly into sausages and put in an enamel basin. We cover with a damp linen cloth, making sure that it does not dry out. If the weather is hot, tea is fermented in a day or less. Here we catch the moment when the peak of the bouquet of fruit aroma goes from it. Then we cut the sausages into slices and dry them in the dryer on the third level. The tea is dark, aromatic, tasty and leafy.

Olesya, here, fly agarics from our forest. This year I took a photo. True, unsuccessful photos, but all the beauty of this mushroom can be appreciated:

Olesya, well, what did we tell you! Don't drink it yet. Let it stand for a couple of weeks. It will be even better! I'm very happy for you. It is important that you feel that the tea turns out. Now you will happily make the next batch of tea. And it's great that you can still collect leaves there. you make tea while you can. Then, in winter, you will praise yourself. You will see!
And ferment raspberries, like all garden ones - 6 hours. I can only ferment cherries for about a day. She then becomes "drunk" and very tasty.

Good day to all! Take me to your company, please!
marika33, Marina, welcome to our tea themes! We are very glad to see you! Thank you for describing your experience. It is especially valuable because you have been making tea for a long time. Therefore, your advice, like a pro, will be very useful to us.
We also used the method that you described. And they thought of the rolling pin themselves. If only you connected to us earlier! And so everything was squeezed out with handles.
Did you just miss it in the description, or do you have no leaf withering process at all? Although, perhaps, for loose tea this stage can be skipped. But in a meat grinder version you cannot do without it.
So, Marina, I hope that you will become a regular visitor of our topic. And it would be really nice if you share the photo. Suddenly, you have them.
