do not soak granules if the tea is properly dried, that is not overdried
and more specifically?
Natalo4-ka
I only have granulated fruit, Ivanushka - large-leaf remained.
I blend, I really like it in different proportions and not only to me.
During the first brewing, the granules do not disintegrate, in subsequent infusions they disintegrate, but quickly settle to the bottom of the teapot (I have a glass one and the whole process is clearly visible)
In my teas there is no pronounced astringency and they do not excite. We brew them up to 4 times and they change taste from time to time, but they are still delicious!
Brew a teaspoon for two cups -1-st brew. Subsequent brews with less water.
paramed1
More specifically, do not dry at high temperatures, do not dry for a long time, focus on the state of the granules. They should not crumble, rub in hands, but remain firm. And after drying for about a day or more, depending on the weather, do not put the tea in a container for storage. I have enough days after the airfryer. But this is about Ivan tea. Other raw materials can give dust during any drying - a feature of the leaves, for example, currants and raspberries, when brewed, creep.

Lena, did you ferment for a long time? I'm talking about dry fermentation?
Seberia, Lena, stood for a little over a month. I decided that enough

granulated when brewing is sure to soak in dust?
My raspberries get wet, they don't remain granules. A dry leaf, probably ...
Yes, and in most cases I twisted at one time. Manual meat grinder, it takes a lot of time. The second time, it was a pity to waste time ...

If ivan tea is mono fresh, increase the fermentation time
I agree with that too! Checked empirically
I didn't even think that there could be such a difference in taste! With prolonged fermentation, I have a rich taste and a dark color. We liked
Ivan-tea gives such a scope for experimentation And, in my opinion, it always remains delicious! Wonderful plant!

She urgently freed the freezer from accumulated leaves (preparation for NG purchase). There were 5 types: apple, cherry, pear, peach and raspberry. Plus I added raspberries again. This time I had a lot of things too lazy to do - I did everything quickly: both scrolls on a large grid, plus the berries were poured immediately into the first scroll.
So the conclusion - adding berries to the first scroll - is pointless !!!! since it is not very convenient to pour one berry at a time - this applies especially to raspberries, since far from all the berries are whole .. this is what happens:
Fermented tea made from leaves of garden and wild plants (master class)
I comment: the concentration of berries is obtained in one place / in one heap - whatever you like - and on the second scroll, the same heap is not particularly distributed over the twisted mass, or you need to knead a lot mass, which threatens the disintegration of granules ...
There were a lot of leaves, so the mass was distributed by 2 MB. In the first MV, fermentation was 7 hours, and the second MV was left overnight, as a result, fermentation was obtained for 21 hours. God, what a smell there was at night ... I had to get up and close the kitchen door so that the smell wouldn't hit my nose ...
The granules turned out to be strong. There was almost no "dust" ...

At the beginning, I fermented tea for about 8 hours, and then decided that 4 hours would be enough for a hot climate. Now when I compare. teas that are less fermented have less flavor. And raspberry
iriska3420
a technical error. And from raspberries I will make only mono tea. And as much as possible, many.

* Anyuta *, and frozen berries?
When added to the second scroll, are they better distributed by weight?

Recently I made teas with different leaves from the garden - apple, pear, plum, peach. First, the list was frozen in the freezer, and then through a meat grinder with an apple, because they were very dry, they were fermented all night.

Now everything is dry in the oven. There are many red blackberry leaves growing in the forest. And on Wednesday - a holiday

It's time to start a mono-raspberry tea club!
I, I, I! I love mono raspberries. BUT ... half raspberries and pears are something!
But the strawberry loved by many (garden strawberry) did not go at all with us. Only as part of a mix, where the base is all the same - raspberries and pears. I then realized that raspberries are a win-win option for dry areas. Those who love aromatic tea can use raspberries with cherries. But, pure raspberries are delicious. And color, and taste, and aftertaste ...
Radushka
iriska3420, I compared raspberries-mono of different fermentation. The most THAT for me is 8-hour.
iriska3420
Radushka, It can be seen also depends on the variety of strawberries depends. My strawberry is unimportant as a berry. We removed all the beds in the fall, but the leaves turned out to be very fragrant. Such an interesting caramel flavor and I can't compare it with anything. The color is also beautiful, but what gave the color ... I have a mixture of apple + grapes + strawberries. Well, after 3-4 months the aromas in jars are awesome. Every evening I have a wonderful moment and I drink divine raspberry tea.
paramed1
Radushka, it is better to pick strawberry leaves closer to autumn, then the aroma will be more pronounced. It hardly depends on the variety. We have 4 mixed varieties and the tea is excellent, one of our favorites. I ferment for 5 hours, dry as usual.

My tea is dried, the taste of cinnamon and anise is mixed.

Radushka, Yes I believe you! But I can't find a pear anywhere here. Not a climate for her

I plan to do this too.But now in the new tea season
Radushka
VeronicaYes there is no particular flavor. Even in the autumn. There is a pronounced taste of pu-erh (fishy). I fermented for different times, and even made from unwashed (I thought that I would get rid of fish this way). And selected the leaves without the slightest signs of damage by fungi. Fish-fish. True, only I can taste this taste. The rest drink and do not notice.
And there is no such taste in the mix. Although, there are a lot of strawberry leaves in my mixes. One quarter to one third.
Radushka
Elena_Kamch, and Kuril tea is growing? I planted myself a bush. He, of course, is still small, but I can add to the mixes, if that. And I have room for the second bush. And since there are now many garden varieties, you can still look for a place. It will be useful, beautiful and ... delicious (I hope)
Elena Kadiewa
Radushka, I did Kuril last year. ABOUT! so I still have a little bit, I must try!
Radushka
elena kadiewa, I'm waiting for a description of my impressions!
Elena Kadiewa
Then ... later, okay?
And I don't know how to describe it as deliciously as you and Nastena.
Radushka

True, only I can taste this taste.
I was convinced of this many times. Not only someone feels, and the other does not, but they feel different aromas, or rather smells, because not everyone smells the same tea the same, but sometimes it turns away the smell. My friend adds Ivanushka to shop teas, she just doesn't like mono and doesn't like it in a blend, but yes with tea leaves. And my son, to my great regret, turns his nose up, says the grass with grass. But after pneumonia, not only his sense of smell, but also his taste sensations changed. I hope that when health is fully restored, he will appreciate our teas.
All the others whom I treated to both mono teas and blended ones drink and praise, they ask to wrap up supplements with them.
And most importantly, I just love them ...
Natalo4-ka
hiacynta, Alina, happy holiday to you !!! Prosperity to your country and the world!
Radushka
Natalo4-ka, Natalo4-ka, for me mono-fireweed tastes too strong. Not grass, of course. Rather, it is similar in intensity to cherry. Therefore, when my "plantation" grows, I will only add to the mixes. And I stopped drinking altogether. Recently, the younger was visiting, he brewed my favorite variety. I drank, I thanked, but ... the pleasure that I previously received was no longer there.
Natalo4-ka
Radushka, yes. And me very strong, well, or intense. Therefore, we brew much weaker than the girls write, but we also like mono less than a blend. I mix before brewing, I like getting a new taste more every time. As a sorcerer, I stand proudly in my kitchen, open each jar, stick my nose in there and sniff it? or not it? .. chose a few pinches from different jars, added flowers, brewed and admired how it is brewed, beautifully ... and then the aroma begins to spread ... hmmmm ... and then you pour a cup and .... delight!
paramed1
Radushka, that's for sure, everyone has different tastes! For me, for example, the cherry is not very good, if only in the mix, but the blackberry finally can not. But strawberries made 10 liters, and it will not be enough! But there is a choice, right? And you need to do the one you like, and a LOT!

I brewed fireweed with mint in a tea maker at night from sleepiness, left for breakfast. The husband flatly refused! And I like it so much ... For this I drank tea from a bag. The mint is still fermented from last year.

Veronichek, yesterday I also added mint to tea (unfermented, twisted in a meat grinder and dried at 60). I just want it and that's it! Although, usually, I don't like mint (mulled wine doesn't count!). What was it? And I also didn't want meat yesterday. And so I'm that predator!

* Anyuta *, are the berries frozen?
When added to the second scroll, are they better distributed by weight?
Yes, the raspberries were frozen (they gathered the last berries in the summer) ...
I wrote about the "distribution" of berries before (I posted a lot of pictures) ... the point is that for the first time I scrolled and the scrolled mass "sprinkled" with berries, that is, for example, I scrolled 2-3 portions of leaves - threw a couple of berries on top and so on ... that is, on the second scroll, the berries are already distributed by weight not so tight as with the first ... and since for the second scrolling you still have to pour granules with a spoon, then this does not affect the integrity of the final granules so much ...
I hope you understand what I was writing ...
Some here argued that it makes no difference when to pour the berries and when to scroll them - believe me - no, not without a difference - all the difference is described by me in the previous post ...
* Anyuta *
Elena_Kamch, Lena, look here... I, for example, cannot understand how to mix such a mass later without destroying / damaging the granules ... .. I personally do not need anything superfluous dust / dust ...
here she showed how she sprinkled with cherries
here is mono raspberry tea with berry - everything is there in detail with photos and comments
Elena Kadiewa
Radushka, take a report in Kuril: the color is rich, dark, the taste ... well, here is the problem, how to describe it ... very similar to green, which is real, expensive, probably from oolongs, there is no astringency, a little astringent aftertaste. Tasty and unusual, last year I brewed it, it was not, then there was a floral aroma (somewhere, like I described here). Not to compare either with Ivanushka, or with the village, there is no similar.
I did it last year, that is, it’s his second year, but this year I didn’t make it — I was stocking up on my favorite Ivan tea. And in vain, you have to do, the difference in them is huge.In the same year, I liked last year's badan (just black leaves), delicious tea was brewed, and a year ago it did not inspire me.
But! I like strong teas, even the second time Ivanushka is not the same for me, I am not even talking about the third time.
Somehow like this.
Radushka
elena kadiewaThank you dear for such a complete report! So, I will do Kuril. I like Badan too. True, it is so unusual that I drink only in accordance with my mood. And the mood for badan is infrequent. Maybe it's for the best. Because I won't have enough badan.
Did you make Kuril from wild or garden form? Everyone I asked said there was no difference in taste. Only the flowers are different. I bought the closest variety to the wild. But, hunting and other colors.
What I liked about Potentilla was the size of the leaves. Finally there will be a real solid sheet! (if wintering)
Linadoc
I've made it from Sakhalin buckwheat (it's something like water pepper, scientifically polygonum). It grows like a weed. The "batch test" passed, and the tea was so-so. Well, in mixed music it will do.
Elena Kadiewa
Radushka, made from garden Potentilla, with yellow flowers. But collecting-maeta, I then spat, collected together with the flowers - they are there everywhere, and also added separately dried flowers to the finished tea. Therefore, if from some leaves it will probably be a different tea to taste.
BTW-twisted in a meat grinder!
You cut her hair, do not be afraid, she grows even better.
Radushka
elena kadiewa, thanks for the advice. I will look forward to next year even more. (I also have yellow flowers. I also want white and pink)

* Anyuta *, Anyuta, probably, when mixing, the granules are damaged, and when they are rolled again, they are formed again, since the author wrote that "good granules turned out, which after drying gave a very pleasant tea"

here she showed how she sprinkled with cherries
Anyuta, Thank you! I read all this in the summer. I just decided to clarify this time ...
You also need to get the last batch of leaves out of the freezer, and if you get good tea with frozen berries, it's absolutely wonderful!
Thanks for the experience!

I laugh ... It's good that it's not near the city. It will be cleaner. And more useful. And you will still get to him!
NataGrig
I also really like mono-raspberry, I agree with everyone. Both taste and color are awesome. But for some reason there is no strawberry. And when it was fermented, and when it dried, and dried in a jar it smells awesome, and in tea there is no taste, no smell at all. Even surprising. I also fermented bush rose leaves, very cool as an additive, astringency and subtle aroma appear. Next year I will rip off the whole bush from my sister
NataGrig

Radushkawhen my "plantation" grows
why don't you collect fireweed in the forests and fields? I have relatives in Kharkov, they say to get out of it.
Radushka
NataGrigMaybe "get out". Where I have been, I have not seen. Or I saw single plants. Give a tip to your relatives. Let me be enlightened about the places of deployment of the coveted Ivanushka! I will be very grateful!
Omela
And last week I collected leaves from tea roses (plus flowers) and strawberry leaves. It was a great combination.
Radushka
OmelaAnd all our leaves have dried up after frosts in drought. Even strawberry ones. Only young, fresh and green. But, it is undesirable to touch them.
Omela
Radushka, I have wild strawberries ... grows anywhere !!!
