Fermented tea made from leaves of garden and wild plants (master class) (page 286)

Thank you.

girls, hello, read the topic, thanks to the author !!!
Luda, I made tea from grape leaves, all according to the recipe from the 1st page, although I read on. I froze, the meat grinder still did not pull, I could not twist it with my hands, I literally twisted the glass, twisted the rest and cut it later (after the enzyme.). It dried for a little over an hour at 100, then a little more at 60 degrees.

Here are some misunderstandings ... when brewing, it somehow does not impress, floats on top, light, I practically don't feel the taste, but the aroma of dry is very pleasant ... maybe I need a teaspoon for a glass? Or maybe I got it wrong ... did it work out?

And we all do not. Most of all ... in the most ordinary, earthenware (domestic, in general, a local factory).
RadushkaApparently, I still haven't come across a good teapot, although there are all sorts, even Chinese from Soviet times. I am more and more inclined to purchase a tea maker.
Quote: Radushka
among my ivanchai leaves were flowers, pink tops and fluffy tubes.
Apparently, all these parts gave such a pronounced willow-tea taste, although you had few of them.

And my Ivanushka, who grows in the village on a tinsel, was eaten by a neighbor's heifer.

First, the tea must still undergo dry fermentation.
Second, we have a few grape tea references at the end of the recipe. Alla and Zakhariy do it and are very happy.
Thirdly, our tea requires baboutlonger brewing time. If your tea leaves are floating at the top, it means that the tea has not yet brewed. I suspect that you just brewed it in a cup and did not cover it with anything. And then, how much do you put on a glass of boiling water of dry tea if you ask that maybe 1 tsp. put? I put at least 1 tsp. More often.
There has been a lot of writing about grape tea this season. I haven't made any links yet. It would be nice to read these posts. Try mixing it with something. And be sure to freeze after withering. Then the leaves will be easier to process.

in the freezer there are already raspberries, currants and cherries - a little bit of everything, I'll try to pick grapes for them.
Thanks for the science, I will continue to study!

Olka44of course, this is not enough. Try to brew according to the recipe. Brew for about 20 minutes in a teapot, wrapped in a towel.

Yes, tea is an addictive business ...

Now in turn pear, irga, Chinese lemongrass, melissa and mint.
Mint and lemon balm do not need to be fermented. Dry only. Like all "fragrant" perfumes (ephedra, for example), rich in essential oils

IvaNova, right! I forgot to answer Tanya about this. Thank you !
iriska3420
Radushka, At your prompt, I made raspberry mono tea. As I did so, I am now making myself a cup for the night. Thanks for this tea. And two years ago I wake up from the fact that the whole apartment is shaking - it turned out that my husband was scrolling all the leaves through a meat grinder. And that's why the last collection was raspberries. But TEA !!!! just super. Well, the leaves are already twisting harder, but the aroma is an order of magnitude higher.

IvaNova, right!
This year I flew by with tea (I sewed up and got out, and I don’t want to do it without a flight), but I read the topic and, if possible, I’m
Finishing off last year's fireweed. He's farther, the tastier.
Next year, I plan to clean up the summer for tea preparations and make it enough for another two years. Hey, I liked him
iriska3420
lappl1Lyudmilochka, I thought to stop, but after the super-fragrant autumn leaves, the process continues. My husband and I became interested in tea making. But he has the duty of delivering leaves, withering and grinding. He even cuts off all the tails with scissors. In general, we only dream of peace.
lappl1
iriska3420Irochka, so I tried in the spring and at the beginning of summer to slow down everyone with garden scent, so that for the late summer and autumn I would leave my strength. I made tea last year, even after long autumn frosts. Great tea! And the girls were already digging leaves from under the snow. So don't be relaxed. The tea season is in full swing.
Quote: IvaNova
I flew with tea this year
IvaNova, Irisha, nothing, the main thing is that you have enough for this year. Indeed, the longer the tea is stored, the better it is. I am convinced of this every time I open an old jar. And save your strength for inspiration! Next year it will be necessary to harvest the seagulls.

Olka44, Olga, pure grape tea gives a light brew and a sour taste. Make it in mixtures, the tea will be more aromatic and tastier.

francevna, Alla, thanks, I'll try to do the next one. And how is it with you, if the second time is filled with boiling water? I have some water with water ...
I'm in doubt
francevna
Olga, I don't brew twice, but I think a second brew is more suitable for a cold drink.
lappl1
Olka44, Olga, have you read the links about grape tea at the end of the recipe in the comments? And pour more, insist longer in a teapot wrapped in a towel.
Quote: Seberia

Seberia, Lena, yes, you can make from leaves that have not dried up. I had raspberries, cherries, apple trees and pears like that. So, tea can be made for a long time.
Olka44
Alla, Ludmila, girls, thanks for explaining)
I read the links in the 1st message right away, now I read it again - the repetition is the mother of learning.

I will make 2 tea - I will unsubscribe, I want so much through a meat grinder, so that granules, but it gives in so hard, even when grapes are after the freezer ... some kind of wrong meat grinder ...

Olga, which is why we are acquiring electric ones. If not yet, then next year you can plan one for yourself.
And further. Twist the leaves without thawing. They then go much easier. And if you twist it twice, then in general you get perfect granules.

Olya, my right shoulder hurt for six months after such training - it was a pity to torment my electric meat grinder with autumn leaves. I began to ask my son to twist it (he just came to visit us). He told me not to suffer myself and not torture others. This one will break, he will buy me a new one ... So what? I began to twist this tin on electric. Withstood my golden ...

Olka44, Olya, of course you can. I don't know if such models are on sale now? Mine was bought 4 years ago. I ordered my husband the most powerful of all the cheap ones. So he chose the most powerful one, with metal bushings. I have this:

And I like granules more after a mechanical meat grinder. Many times I thanked myself for not disposing of it. Although it looks unpresentable, the safety margin is not yet for one decade. Serve for a good cause - tea making. Zechariah has a photo of this miracle technique. My beauty is exactly the same.
lappl1
iriska3420, Ira, the granules are good! But the strength for her, the old one, is not enough - apparently, so much was ground and twisted in it that everything worked out. The leaves don't even want to move towards the knives and grate. Moreover, in all my three meat grinders.
Natusichka
And this morning I had the imprudence to brew black tea ... to be honest, it is not tasty at all ... but before it seemed so tasty to me! Everything is relative!
lappl1
Natusichka, and I did it yesterday. I was taking apart the hinged shelf. And there was a jar with black sheet. I also couldn't drink, went and brewed her own.
Radushka
iriska3420, I am very glad that I liked the raspberries! Here, how much I do not like her, scratching, cut out in the fall, but I do it now with pleasure. After all, I am preparing the leaves in parallel. Last year I was thinking of reducing the plantation in the village. There is an old mother-in-law.It's hard for her to look after. Sometimes he doesn't even have time to collect. And now I think that I will not reduce it. We will not have time with the berries, we will collect the leaves!
py. sy. It's better to come to me with "you".

Is there a hairdresser in the village? without professional sharpening of the tool (scissors, wire cutters ..) it is difficult for them to survive.
Lind @
Radushka, this is how many raw materials you can prepare. If you cut it now Uh!
iriska3420
I'm back to the meat grinder topic. I just thought that they did pretty well before. I didn’t sharpen or change knives. And it works for five points. If it could be painted, then there would be no price. And the granules are mostly small and so neat. I didn't twist it twice.Natusichka, when I brewed black tea, for some reason it tasted like soap to me. And the tea was not budgetary. Once a month I went broke for such tea.
iriska3420
RadushkaHappy to have a whole raspberry plantation. I have a problem with leaves. Now I want to make * autumn * teas. My first tea in this series, which is almost a week old, already exudes such a strong aroma. Probably next year I will be engaged in tea production from the end of August. The first experience is already accumulating.

There is such, the energy of the invested personal labor, first of all, changes the internal structure of the product (to a higher quality side), which forms its appearance (for this reason, I prefer to dry it in a frying pan).

Irina, why? I
This year I started from the end of May and I don't have time to do as much as I want. Summer teas are very aromatic! And the leaves are easier to recycle! And I no longer have currant at all. Early varieties of currants come in autumn without leaves.

vlek, no, not found. We have no shops either. Only a caravan once a week. When a husband tries to sharpen a chain for his chainsaw and other tools in the city, this is such a boring story. One master for the whole city and he visits him once a year on a promise.
But nothing, my electric more than suits me. As I remember my torment with mechanical and consequences, I don't want to go back to them.

Radushka, tea is tastier from autumn leaves. But you are right - for tea to last for a year, you need to start making it early. Dilemma...
Radushka
lappl1, Lyudochka, but I wouldn't say which is tastier. They are simply different.
lappl1
Radushka, of course different. But if you choose, then I like autumn more. Although you can't cook currants here in the fall. And difficult leaves in the fall. Therefore, it also takes a long time to freeze.

lappl1By the way, I remembered what I wanted to say! Since June, I kept badan leaves in the freezer. Plucked the green ones. Little. I thought to gradually collect for fermentation. And then I read the topic and realized that there was no need to ferment them. When Zachariah saw the method, she periodically took them out and defrost them. Then back to the freezer. At about the tenth defrosting, the leaves turned brown. And it smells like the tea that was brewed from the leaves collected from under the bush.

And in my French press it turns out VERY DARK. Vkusnyyyy And we drink five cups of raspberry ma and mommy from one tea infusion (without diluting with water, just marry), this is how it is dark and very soft, unlike the store one. Lyudochka thank you HUGE !!! On the weekend I'll go out of town again to collect leaves, otherwise I have only made tea from summer leaves.

Radushka, yes you made a discovery! Wow!!!! we have to rant everyone about it! In any case, when I make links, I will definitely do it on your badan. And I'll tell everyone in the Gazebo now. And then they are something too lazy to go here. So they may not know about this method. But many have badan and they simply despaired of getting good tea from it.

By the way, I didn't keep it in the sun. And did not dry it. Just in a bag and defrost it. I poke my nose and all the airing.
