Herring caviar

Herring caviar

Ingredients

Tomato juice
(or diluted tomato paste)
125 ml
Odorless vegetable oil 80 ml
Semolina 3-4 tbsp. l.
Fillet of 1 herring
1/2 small onion

Cooking method

  • Bring the tomato juice and vegetable oil to a boil and add semolina in a thin stream to cook a thick porridge. Cool down.
  • Pass the herring fillet and onion through a meat grinder and mix with semolina.
  • My work. 1) If you use tomato paste - the color is closer to the "caviar" 2) I put fillets, onions and porridge in a combine and turn on for a couple of minutes.
  • All. Spread on fresh bread and enjoy

Note

The recipe is very ancient - "bearded", but nevertheless, it turns out delicious.

Rusya! I read a similar recipe for a long time, but did not dare to repeat it. But now I will definitely do it - since they write on our forum! Here they will not advise bad things. And I usually just scroll the herring fillets into a meat grinder (and if there is still caviar in it!) And mix it with softened butter. Flies away with a bang!
