Who uses Calgonite salt, please answer. Is it small for everyone now? It used to be large and finished in about 2 months. And the fine one was stuck for almost a year, it just caked there, I had to stir it and add citric acid in crystals to dissolve faster. The dishes were poorly washed. It seems to have got rid of, but the sensor did not work, that there is no salt. I fell asleep again, but quite a bit, and it again caked up salt deposits (to the touch) on the wall of the salt reservoir, how to get rid of them and what is better to replace this stupid Calgonite with.

Lika, a month ago I bought Calgonite: there was coarse salt there.
Maybe you got a fake one?
I also used Somat salt, it is fine, but also lasts for about 2 months.

Choosing a dishwasher

Hello everyone.
I have a Bosch dishwasher srv 5603, she is already 8 years old, it serves properly.
I have a couple of questions, I have touched the instructions for a long time.

Please tell me how you can try to turn off the sound after the end of the program, it is pretty nasty, and even every 20 minutes it repeats because of this I can not wash the dishes at night.

My dishes are kristal fix because I just got used to it, because only they were sold before. Mine mostly with pills, because I constantly spilled the powder, and somehow I bought 10 packs of pills at the price of the powder
I read that they scold pills, and why are they worse than powder - only at a price?

Do I understand correctly that the remedy is the simplest salt only in tablets? And you need to pour it where the salt is poured? Or is it 3 in 1 detergent tablets ??
Thank you.
Basja
sazalexter I looked, I have the same pack of salt and all the other chemicals of the same company (Calgonite), now my husband installs a water purifier and a sink to the heap. Thank you for uploading the photo, there is something to compare with.

At first, I was confused by the black grains in the bottoms of the cups, which appeared from nowhere. Most likely it was carbon deposits washed off from the pans.
It was these grains that I called sand. These are probably grains of coffee. Only now it dawned on me. They do sometimes remain in the bottoms of cups and on deep plates.

Shouldn't be fake. I took it to the METRO. We need to try Somat, maybe it will be better.
sazalexter
Today on the "TV" there was an advertisement that from now on Calgonite will be called as in Europe -Finish--

Today I brought pills from Finland called ..... Farry, they are there with some kind of liquid. Nobody tried this ???

I bought a descaling agent in Utkonos (more for a washing machine than for a dishwasher)

Choosing a dishwasher

Manufacturer: ORO-Produkte Marketing International GmbH, Germany.

Product description:
Frisch-Aktiv intensive descaler for household appliances.
Special detergent for cleaning and care of dishwasher and washing
machine. Ideally removes stubborn limescale deposits on heating
elements of the machine. The product guarantees optimal dishwasher performance.
machine and reduces electricity consumption. Recommended for
intensive cleaning two to four times a year.
Mode of application:
Dishwasher: sprinkle the contents of the package inside
the surface of the machine, turn on the program (T = 65'C), leave until full
at the end of the program without any dishes in the machine.
Washing machine: place the contents of the package in a drum or compartment
for rinse aid, set the main wash program (T = 60'C),
leave until the program is completed, while the machine should not
be things.
Coffee machine: dissolve 3-4 teaspoons of the product in 1 liter of water,
pour the solution into the heater, turn on the coffee maker and let it finish
process, rinse the coffee maker with clean water.

Everything would be fine, but ... the instructions say that descale only when deposits are already visible... Where can I see them ?!

After a while, rust builds up on the walls and gratings of the PPM. How do you deal with this ??
Tanyusha
sazalexter I have not seen this yet, but I have a machine for only the second year and it seems like a stainless steel, and did not think that rust could form.
Lika
tanya1962, so I was surprised at the pores of the stainless steel walls and rust on them. It is clear on the gratings - the paint can peel off, swell, etc.
I have a car for 3 years.

By the way, I never used pills, but then I bought their brand ARO for testing in METRO. Everything has become much better washed, that is, it washes at lower temperatures as in the main wash. BUT, a whitish coating appeared on the pots on the inside of the bottom, which is not very rubbed off by hand. The pans are thoroughbred and time-tested, and PMM is the problem with the pills.

I put the tablets in a stash, in case something (salt / powder / rinse aid) runs out, but I need to wash it.

sazalexter, for stainless steel you can take any appropriate cleaning and polishing agent. I have DOMAX of the German brand Domal for the kitchen. A sink, a cooker hood and a POT are drawn on the label.
sazalexter
Thanks everyone for the answers! But I apparently did not put it right, it does not rust but darkens (turns yellow) from water and this is not scale, but a coating of rust
Standard PMM cleaners do not help

Then the polish will remove this plaque without problems + at the inlet a pre-filter for water is at least some simple one. Instead of polish, you can try a melamine sponge, this one does not leave any traces at all.

I have a car recently, but I was very interested in this problem, especially since I live in Rzhevka, and as everyone knows, nayon has the most rusty water ... I will watch ... the main thing is that no plaque appears inside. Although there is no such thing in the washer?!? !!!

Girls! First, with all the past holidays, you and your families !!! And secondly, the question arose. Today the sensor for the lack of salt lit up, somehow unexpectedly, From a pack of 2 kg there were 300 grams left, poured out, the indicator did not go out, it is not enough to be seen ..... But only 3 months have passed !!!. That is, my boss ate 2 kg of salt in 3 months with a little ....., is not it too much? Is it really such hard water? There are no whitish deposits, it washes normally, I set the salt to 4 ...
Hairpin
Fine.
I have a top three. The second pack ends in August. 5-6 month. The sensor did not respond to a quarter of the pack. I don't put aside less than half the pack now.

So you put on a smaller amount of salt (not 4, but 2, for example) and the consumption will immediately decrease. If you see that this will not affect the quality of washing, leave it. If the quality gets worse, try setting the regulator to 3.
sazalexter
The salt setting must be set depending on the hardness of the water, someone has 4 and someone has 1 Put less the filter will die and just business Some 200 bucks the price of the issue
PS: Salt costs less than the filter and nerves spent during the repair, IMHO
Berry
I have 1.5 kg of salt for 2 weeks, since the salt is set to 5.
NVK
Thank you very much for your answers! In Kiev, the water is really hard, we did an analysis. Now I'm calm ... you just need to really have a supply of salt. By the way, I use Domol, I like it, though I haven't tried another one. And my husband bought the powder for me Emveevsky all the same .... It washes, of course, well, the consumption is slightly less than the previous Robot, the price is certainly high. But it is interesting, did anyone compare the composition of detergent powders from the point of view of "no harm to health", so that there is less of any chemistry? ...
Jefry

from the point of view of "do no harm to health", so that there is less chemistry? ...
Compared, all the means for PMM are extremely aggressive (there is nothing useful for health in their components, but there is no obvious poison either). Another thing is that these aggressive substances do not come into contact with the skin of the hands, once. The residual concentration of the detergent on the plates after rinsing is several times less than the faery after washing with handles, two times. At the last rinse with rinse aid, the remaining detergent is completely neutralized, three. If you overdo it with a rinse, then nothing fatal will happen either - its main component is palm oil. The other side of the coin is not "harm to health", but environmental pollution. It is with him that progressive Japanese are fighting, using phosphate-free detergents ...

Please give me a reference. I am a beginner dishwasher and the following question arose: I bought Calgonit All-in-One tablets, the seller said that it is still necessary to add salt. This is true? Isn't there salt in the tablets? And when you pour salt, do you really need to pour water into the funnel first?

Let's get it in order. The salt poured into the machine is needed for the normal functioning of the ion exchanger - a device that softens the water entering the PMM. The salt in the tablets has a completely different composition and softens the water itself. Water must be poured, and it is advisable to start a rinsing or washing cycle immediately after that, otherwise spilled salt crystals can leave corrosion spots on the surface of the tank. Just do not forget to tighten the lid tightly.
Actually, it is recommended to start with separate means in order to understand the "character" of your machine, and then switch to tablets. Although my IMHO is the same - pills are only for people engaged in saving the world ...
zvezda
Just remember to set the water hardness on the machine first.

Dear hostesses, tell me please, maybe someone used the piston for the PMM "Domol" (ROSSMANN, Germany). Today I saw it in the DC and was very attracted by the price - for 2 kg about 70 UAH, while the price for Calgonit is 58 UAH per 1 kg. If someone used it, share your impressions.
yulichka
Shine, a normal remedy, is not inferior to calgonite. Now I run out of ORO powder, I will also go buy Domol. By the way, the salt is also good, the rinse aid has not been tried yet. In general, I try not to take funds advertised on TV - I don't want to pay 40% of the price for advertising !!!
k.alena
I switched to Domol after 4 years of using Calgonite, on the advice of people from the same forum. I did not notice the difference at all, and the price is significantly lower. So take it boldly
Salt is also Domol, but no rinse was found, so Calgonite.
Jefry
I use only Domol and I am very satisfied. The only "inconvenience" is the soft packaging, so do not throw away the container from Calgonite.
Lika
Today I faced such an unpleasant problem. I always washed the metal part of the electric meat grinder (Brown) in the PMM and everything was great for several years. Soaps with Calgonite powder. Yesterday I washed it with pills, the powder ran out, and took out NZ O, HORROR !!!! The meat grinder turned black and became very dirty. No, it was not shiny before, so dull dark, but it did NOT get dirty.
What is it that is mixed in these PMM tablets that the metal corrodes. ARO tablets, purchased from METRO.
zvezda
This is ARC !!!!!! In general, I can't find words for their products ...
k.alena
Lika, in fact, the instructions prohibit washing the meat grinder in the PMM. I think it's because of the metal it's made from. That is, if before you did everything well, then this was an exception to the rule
Lika
Everything was fine for a long time, until I washed them with pills - too aggressive.

I want to share here my thoughts on any "many-in-1" tablets.

Namely - to comment on the myth of manufacturers about how they supposedly dissolve in the strictly necessary sequence, first salt, then powder, and finally - rinse aid. Now, this is nonsense. They dissolve completely and without residue somewhere in a maximum of 15-20 minutes of gurgling. And this is for me, where the tablet does not fall to the bottom in the water (like most normal models), but hangs in a special compartment on the basket (that is, it is not constantly in the water). I know this for sure, because I am the owner of a strange, but honest (for my own money) desktop 4-local unit from a kandy with a large window. It also concerns calgonite, which is with a ball (all-in-1) and the budget "afterburner" from Auchan in a soluble shell. And it all merges safely when leaving for the first rinsing cycle.

Maybe, of course, it's not about the rate of dissolution, but about the rate, say, of the reaction of what has already been applied to the dishes by jets and steam? If there are people familiar with chemistry, it would be interesting to listen to them. But it still looks strange somehow, IMHO.

And in the end, after some economic and logical thinking, I switched back to powder-salt-liquid.

Who uses a PMM cleaner, which is recommended to be poured into an empty PMM and run on a cycle, at t not lower than 65 degrees? On the recommendation of the manufacturer of the medium (Calgonite) - this should be done once a month.

I used it once - then 5 times I started the machine for an empty rinse, it smelled very steadily of a cleaner. And it's not that the smell itself is bad - it's just harsh. Although it may taste for color - I am quite intolerant of chemical smells now.
IMHO, cleaning more often than once every 3 months is stupid, unless, of course, you regularly store any fish-fatty residues in the machine. Then I took another ORO frish-asset (a box with a powder) - this groin is much smaller.
Rina
Nat_ka, I did it tonight. I don’t know if I’ll have to start the car several times to flush out this cleaner, but it didn’t wash off the grease, for example, on the filter. I deliberately did not rinse these grates to see if fat remains on them or not (it is stated that it cleans from fat) - it remained, I had to wash it by hand. So, the effectiveness of this "purifier" is in question for me. I think if you need to rinse the heater from scale, then it is better and safer to pour in ordinary citric acid.
Nat_ka
and the seller told me that this was so that the dishes were not cloudy ... I was still surprised
Rina
about "muddy" - I don't know. The first wash after cleaning seemed to be better, but in a month I will experiment with a regular lemon.
Actually, all the ingredients in this product are surfactants (surfactants) and citric acid. Question: what are these surfactants doing there?
sazalexter
Rina72 surfactants are designed to cleanse from fat deposits.
But if the fat has turned into a polymer, it is too tough for him
Rina
sazalexter, no polymer. Everything was removed very easily with an ordinary sponge.
Hairpin
I once took one in Platypus ... Well, in short, for myself I decided that at least the third car wash should be on Auto. Then no cleaners are needed. But if constantly short programs ...

When we bought the PMM and everything that is needed for it, we also bought a freshener. I was tormented by the question: to take it out during the wash or not (the instructions were in German, the consultant was not aware). I did not find the answer in the internet either. And yesterday in the market I saw fresheners again, but with a translation. They are designed for 60 sinks, so you need to leave. Here's a story
sweeta
I have been using Amveevsky for six months (are there any more?), A relative advised. the powder itself leaves very little, quite sparingly ... I like it ... And at the expense of the freshener, it must be left during washing
Fnezhinka
I have Domol powder. Also well, sooo economically spent. Literally 2 tables. spoons, and when there are not enough dishes, then generally 1 table. there is enough spoon. The wash quality is excellent. Rinse aid is the same Domol. I forgot when I added it.
Thank you forum users. I bought Domol after reading this topic. I didn't have to experiment.

I found out, they said that we do not sell it at all. Where did you buy it?

I do not understand something about the discussions about the use or non-use of salt ...
The instructions say that you should not use a dishwasher at all if salt is not poured into the salt container.

In St. Petersburg, the water is very soft (there are no calcium deposits in teapots), so you can do without salt. You need to watch what kind of water flows from your tap.

Yes, I got it, I'm going to look for a test to determine the hardness of water. Our region has average hardness.
But in any case, if the instructions explicitly say what not to include, if the salt is not filled, I will follow the instructions.
I correctly understand that there is only one place where salt is poured and I understand correctly what this is all about?
lega
You understand correctly - SALT and other products are poured into specially designed compartments. I also wrote about salt in the instructions, but the manufacturer cannot write instructions for each region. I have been using PMM without salt for seven years and everything is fine. And in washing machines never I don’t use Calgonit, although the old tumble dryer is 14 years old and works great.
bluekitten
Does it mean that the salt function is free of scale?
