There is a discount on "003" now. It costs only 3000 rubles.
here. not ideal for a stern look ... but for me, I'm very happy!
this is a trial balloon

Bread maker Kenwood BM 250

I have had this HP for 7 years. I am very pleased with her. She is my assistant. I make bread and all kinds of dough in it. Not idle for a day. Of course, for so many years there have been bucket breakdowns, but my husband coped with them perfectly. The coating of the bucket is perfect. The appearance of hp is still like a brand new one. But the inscriptions around the window and on the buttons are erased. Everything is straight, perfectly clean))) I certainly remember what and how to turn it on from memory, but no one close to me can do this task. Maybe someone will share what you can write again? Probably there are some interesting ways, besides nail polish))))
fugaska
neatly cut circles to fit the buttons from self-adhesive (any stickers, this good is now in bulk), glue and a ballpoint pen to help. and around the window there are rectangles
Natalie266
I have some stickers even in the instructions I remember were. I'll go look, maybe I didn't throw them out.
fugaska
there are stickers with programs (number and decoding), it seems in three languages. and clean stickers (self-adhesive) can now be found in any stationery.

Is there a pause or not? I did not find a separate button .... maybe what combination of buttons should I press?
Natalie266
Sandy, no, there is no pause. If the START button is pressed, then everything is already done, nothing can be changed or stopped. If this happened by accident, then you must turn off the button at the bottom at the back and wait 10 minutes to turn on another program.

except for nail polish))))
I painted it with transparent varnish immediately when I realized that the inscriptions on the spoon and glass were erased, and the buttons too. So who bought a new one - keep in mind the inscriptions are erased quickly

A second long press on the button of the running program will cancel.
Natalie266
Shelena, do you really mean our HP? I have been using it for 7 years and do not know how to do it. Specify which button?
Sandy

makes cancellation.

I'm not interested in cancellation, namely pause, that is, suspension of a program that is already running
I have a separate "pause" button in another xp, you press and the program pauses until you press this button again
in kenwood 250 I can not find anything similar ..... if you click on "start" then the program is simply canceled and then starts over again, it turns out that you can turn off the "network" button that is behind for a couple of minutes, as an option it still saves the settings wherein

... on running program button ...

the program is simply canceled
Sandy, for pause, too, I always used the deactivation of the button on the back of the case.
Interestingly, for what purposes do you want to pause?

Interestingly, for what purposes do you want to pause?

well, for example, to scrape off unmixed flour from the corners of the bucket with a spatula ......... ho cha until she stayed there (TTT)
or, for example (as I had in another xn), I see baking will begin now, and the bread has not risen as I would like - I press pause and wait a little while the bread rises as I need, then I cancel the pause and baking begins.

I do this with the oven working.

For this, I also used the coveted button, mainly when baking rye bread. The stove was turned off with a button. I set the timer for 7 minutes, then turned on the C / P. If required, then after a couple of minutes she repeated this manipulation.
Just keep in mind that when setting up fast programs, this method will not work - the program gets lost.
Moonlight
Hello. Tell me please . Should the 250 have a display backlight? bought today. the display is off. carry back?
Midnight lady
Moonlight, no backlight in 250 Kenwood.

I do the same, mainly when baking cakes.
And even when it's cold in the apartment, proofing can be done, including program 3, it is heated for half an hour before kneading. Only in time you need to turn off the program, otherwise the batch will begin. Well, then just prog "baking".
Moonlight
Thank you. yesterday baked the first loaf - it turned out very pale.

Moonlight,
Add an extra 1 tsp. sugar.

A citizen, Thank you. I'm already trying the second oven

Recipe from the book "White bread with the addition of eggs"
GekaPeka
Good evening! Please help !! I have this HP, I tried to bake 10 times and only one recipe from the book "French bread". All the ingredients and technology are strictly from the book, but the bread never came out: in the process of kneading, a bun is not obtained, it never rises, after baking it is always "glib" inside, but the result is in the photo. Experimenting with flour and yeast, the result is always the same. What's wrong?

GekaPeka,
In my opinion, a significant excess of water should be reduced by about 20-30%.
GekaPeka
everything is exclusively according to the recipe from the collection: water 310 ml, flour 450 g.
A citizen
GekaPeka,
There is probably still oil there, and the flour may have picked up water during storage.
Look at the appearance - rather than kneading a bun, but porridge.
Take 250 ml of water and, when kneading, already open, see if the flour remains a little in the corners, add slowly slowly.
Natalie266
GekaPeka, I would not recommend making bread from a recipe book at all, there are a lot of mistakes. Make a standard recipe to start with. 350 ml of water, 3.5 cups of flour (faceted Soviet glass), 1.5 tsp of salt, 1.5 tsp of dry fine yeast. All ! You will see what a bun should be. This is my working recipe and by the way my favorite. Then on other recipes you will experiment with butter, sugar and eggs. Good luck.

When I bought this HP, I also tried this recipe. The same result as yours. I remember I was so upset that for a long time I could not tune in to cook again. There is an obvious error in proportions. For 310 ml of water, you need at least 600 g of flour!
GekaPeka
Thanks for the advice, I will definitely try to change the amount of flour on the weekend, but I very much doubt that Kenwood's engineers are fools, they designed a very successful and popular model, but attached a recipe book with errors to it. In addition, watch videos on YouTube, where people make bread exclusively from this book and they get a wonderful product:
Shelena
GekaPeka, I will support those who recommended that you change the recipe. This is exactly the problem. Take any simple recipe from the forum. I can recommend my own:
https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=382835.0
It turns out great in Kenwood.
GekaPeka
Shelena, thanks, I will try, the question is: 2 types of flour - can you combine one? You can not add bran ??
Shelena
Take flour, do not add bran. But! Look after the kolobok. Don't let it go by itself. There is a photo of a kolobok in the recipe.
Shelena
GekaPeka, Tell me, have you used different recipes and modes each time?
A hypothesis just appeared: did you press by mistake not on the "Start" button, but on the "Quick Mode" button ... It is large and eye-catching. Couldn't it be?
GekaPeka
no, 100 times one mode is written: "Fr bread", flour is always in / s, but from different manufacturers, filtered water, once sivorotka, French or Poltava yeast, I measure out to a millimeter.
Shelena
So, just take a new recipe and watch the kolobok. The result will be great! This stove bakes very well.
I used it for five years without any complaints.
Good luck !!!
Midnight lady
GekaPeka, you yourself write that the bun does not work. If it doesn’t work, then the liquid-flour proportion is not correct. What is the consistency of your mass when mixing? Is it liquid or, conversely, does not collect into a single mass and there are separate pieces ??
My proportion is as follows: 600 g of flour and 360 g (or ml) of water, therefore, for 450 g of flour, 270 ml of water. But you still need to look after the kolobok and adjust it as necessary, because everyone has different moisture content and requires, accordingly, a different amount of water.
GekaPeka
Midnight lady, Midnight lady, at this moment I am trying to change the proportions and move away from the recipe in the book, as advised above: 310 ml of milk whey and 600 gr. flour (for French bread).
Midnight lady
GekaPeka, what happened?
damn_s
Hello everyone!!

My recipe:

Flour "Pyshechka" - 500 gr.
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 1.5-2 tablespoons
Vegetable or olive oil - 1.5 tbsp. spoons.

Live yeast Lux extra - 10 gr.
Bread maker Kenwood BM 250Fill with warm water - 300 ml., mix and let stand for 10 minutes in a warm place.

We put everything in the form in the above sequence !!

Mode - 1, time - 750 g, crust - medium. After completing the program, let the bread stand in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Then we take it out and let it cool.

chu4a61
I have not used the stove for several years, I will restore my skills)))
Natalie266
chu4a61, why didn't you use it? This is such a handy thing. Not a day goes by without her. That bread is necessary, then just dough for something.
GekaPeka
good day! bread is very crumbled and wrinkled when cutting, what could be the reason?
Natalie266
GekaPeka, a lot of oil
GekaPeka
hmm .. a spoonful of olive or sunflower, no more
Natalie266
GekaPeka, try to bake 1 time without oil at all, you will see the difference. Now I always bake without butter, I like it better when the crumb stretches. Well, and only cut the cooled down of course. This is the first rule.
Yuri198
Dear bakers!
There is an opportunity to buy this oven for a cheap price, but I'm only interested in one question - does it knead dough for dumplings, dumplings? I did not find it in the topic, maybe I was looking badly. And, then the dilemma is to buy a bread maker or a food processor of the same company, for the same money.
Natalie266
Yuri198, Yes. there is such a mode, called Pasta Dough, duration 14 minutes.
