Still, it is better to take UHT milk - with it "punctures" are less common.
Ultra-pasteurization. milk, as I understand it, does not need to be brought to a boil, but only heated to 40?
Manna
Yes, that's right: you don't need to boil UHT. And to be upset ... this is not at all a reason to be upset.

No, no, Mannochka, I wasn't very upset ... but still, it's unpleasant. I just need yogurt as a medicine for my youngest (every day) and now ... I live far from the pharmacy, once again you can't get out for leaven
Manna
Well, yes, it's unpleasant. But now already taught by experience
SvetaGdeTo
Oops! While I was like getting upset and scratching my turnips: "what to do?" ... the milk in the MV began to turn sour and thicken (with the lid open). Well, I turned on the program again. "yogurt" in the second round. Maybe now it will work
Marylin62
Girls, good afternoon! I carefully approached the question of choosing a yogurt maker and thanks to this site fate brought me to Brand 4001! I read the whole topic before buying it, and now I have it! But, without the recipe book, because there was the last one from the showcase .... that's okay, nothing complicated to manage. But everything was confused in my head, while I was reading, I had to write it down. Evitalia found the sourdough and reportedly realized that she needed 10-12 hours. I put it on 10, it turned out that I overexposed .... the serum began to separate and the structure was heterogeneous. But delicious. So, tell me, please, is my yogurt maker overheating or is it just to take the time off? But is 8 hours enough for Evitalia? What do you advise? And I still didn't understand which milk is better, ultra-pasteurized or with a short shelf life. First time I used ultra 5%

What do you advise?
To watch the fermentation process after 8 hours every half hour - just shake one of the cups slightly.

Here are the recommendations for sourdough:

I found these recommendations on the group's pages:

Is it possible to ferment more than one liter of milk with one sachet?

Do I need to close the lids of the yogurt maker jars when fermenting?

What is the difference between sourdough curd and calcined or made from kefir or yogurt?

Why are leavens needed? Why not use live yoghurts?

Why do you recommend UHT milk for fermented milk? It doesn't even turn sour normally

I asked a specialist about one inexplicable situation when all the conditions are met, but the product still does not work, and I received a very interesting answer

Marylin62
Thank you for the reminder, I also read all this, but there is so much information at once that everything is not digested. Now it is more or less clear, I will continue the experiments!
Marylin62
I tried it for 8 hours ... It strips from the bottom and serum 0.5 cm somewhere already .... is 8 hours a lot for Evitalia?
Manna
Is Evitalia the first sourdough or re-sourdough? There is definitely a lot for overriding. And if the first sourdough, then ... the earliest you can watch after 6 hours, but this rarely happens. But maybe it's hot in your room
Marylin62
The first one .... it's really hot in the room. I will experiment with 6 hours, thanks!

Hello.
And I have a somewhat unexpected question, but I think it's on the topic.

There is a yogurt maker, I love it very much. But she began to junk something, she is almost two years old.
We decided to bribe a new one. But, all of a sudden, they thought about buying a multicooker instead of a yogurt maker.

We like Brand, it has shown itself well in practice. Therefore, now I am carefully reading the branches about the 502 and 701 multicooker from this company.

The question is this.

We in the yogurt maker actively make various yoghurts and cottage cheese.
Long ago we switched to cooking in a bowl. Well, the cottage cheese is clear why the bowl - from 3 liters, we have a stable 1.1-1.2 kg. cottage cheese (with milk 3.2%). And the yogurt comes out so thick that it also goes into cooking - dressing for salad, in borscht instead of sour cream, in cream soup, stew meat, etc. Not enough in glasses

Therefore, we thought, since in a bowl, and not in glasses, then maybe then you can already buy a multicooker.

How different will the yogurt / cottage cheese in the yogurt maker be from all that in the multicooker?
Is this a good idea?

Thank you!

PS if someone knows the difference between specific multicooker 502 and 701 (except for the volume), I will consider the answer a bonus

Hello. I was going to buy a yogurt maker. Can you please tell me how you like Brand 4001? I choose between Moulinex and this one. And are there still models with a temperature controller today and is there a need for it? Thank you in advance.
Marylin62
Yoghurt maker Brand 4001I report on my experiences. So, through trial and error, I found out that for my yogurt maker, yoghurt with ultra 3.2% milk with Evitalia sourdough is ideal for 7 hours, plus keep it off for an hour. Great yogurt! Thanks to everyone, because thanks to this topic my choice fell on this yogurt maker! I will learn to make another sour milk
tatjanka
Good morning everyone! Girls, I needed an extra bowl for the smokehouse, went to Brand's website and away we go ...: oops: I saw a pancake maker, read your reviews and caught fire. : girl-yes: Then I remembered that I wanted a yogurt maker and while reading this topic I remembered that there were talks about a yogurt maker with temperature regimes.
Quote: Luysia

In the project there is a super-duper Brand milk milk with different temperature regimes.
By chance, no one has any information about this?
I would like to order everything at once, and of course a new yogurt maker.

Good day to all !!! After reading the topic about choosing a yogurt maker, I ran to you and finally decided that I needed a yogurt maker brand 4001. But it turned out to be not easy to find her :(. NOT in stock. But it seems that one store expects her on Friday. I hope she will come to me.
Miranda
The manufacturer's website has 🔗
but you + delivery will be, and this is always a shame

Great yogurt maker!
Alefaniya
Miranda, Thank you :) I'll wait until tomorrow, if the answer is silence, then I'll order from the manufacturer.

Help please, I'm a beginner, and you are so interesting !!!!! Birthday is coming soon! They want to give a yogurt maker, I sit for the second week and choose. I'm uncomfortable with glasses, I make yogurt in the Cockoo cartoon, on Evitalia. It's just that we have a big family and I need a large volume, in a cartoon it turns out 3 liters. I just pour everything into a bowl and set it at 7 o'clock. I would do it further, but every 2 days you have to make yogurt, which is 7 hours, and you also need to cook in a cartoon. Sometimes there is a discrepancy. And I also noticed that after a soup or other dish, you put yogurt (although very carefully my insides are multi), and the yoghurt tastes like soup. It's unpleasant. In a large Brandovsky bowl made of plastic, I don't feel like cooking, I have a glass bowl from a zepter. PLEASE measure the diameter and height of the large plastic bowl of the yogurt maker. Suddenly my zepter will fit
Miranda
Quote: Zlatka
diameter and height of a large plastic yogurt maker

22.5cm x 9cm, but I would take 1-1.5 millimeters away for fidelity

Regarding the height - the lid is high, that is, the height can be higher, I put 700 ml cans to ferment sour cream, it was approx.

The yoghurt maker is good, if it fits in size, then it's great.

If it doesn't fit, maybe buy an extra. a bowl just for milk? And if the cartoon has a removable plate on the lid, then its extra. And put it at night?

I have now - add. bowl, add. plate and fermented yogurt / cottage cheese almost every night, and during the day - cooking in a different bowl. No food flavors or flavors.
Zlatka
Oh thank you!!!! I have 3 multi bowls and everyone is always busy. Three kids and everyone loves to eat and yogurt. And about the removable plate, for sure, you need to buy. I can avoid extraneous odors. So tired of washing the cuckoo before making yogurt !!! And also please, I have a zepter, the height of the glass bowl is 10.7, and the diameter is 23. Can it somehow be crammed in? Don't look ??? Or maybe some other options, how to make 3 liters in a brand, but in glass?
Manna
Zlata, but you need three liters? I make two: four 0.5 liter cans.

And three and four and even six liters did! Theoretically, if you buy a stainless steel container gn 1/1, you can make 25!

Is there a Metro in Moscow? Everything was dismantled with our taps in the Volgograd and Volzhsky Metro. I was the other day in the Metro I saw without a tap for 3000r. As a bonus, we get in addition to the Su-Vid yogurt maker!
Zlatka
Wow....!!!! Cool stuff, but I need something more civilized. I just wanted to ask the girls, I realized that in Brand 4001, taking out everything, you can just put 4 cans of 0.5 each? And everything will fit and you get 2 liters. Right!

Is there some more Shteba's suvidnitsa very "civil" for 6 liters, and this yogurt in it:

Banks of 1 l and 0.5 l.

The cans fit perfectly into the bath: when the SV2 lid is closed, about 10 mm remains between it and the can lid, and the level of the mixture falls just about the level of the maximum water.

I can't measure it - I don't have this yogurt maker at hand.
But Miranda has already measured for you:

Please measure it !!!!!

You know, I measured it with a tape measure at night, and now with a centimeter, it turned out 21 cm and a couple of mm.
23cm will definitely not fit.

Plastic or glass is, of course, a matter of preference. But the plastic is not bad there.
Or look for glassware of the required diameter.

Zlatka
Thank you girls !!! I'll think!!!
alsou8987
Girls, tell me: have you encountered such a problem. The yogurt is no longer produced. I tried to change milk, Lactin sourdough. Yesterday evening I launched another batch, decided to measure the temperature inside the cans - it does not rise above 35-36. I think the temperature should be higher, I have never tracked it before, because there were no problems with fermentation.

I am planning to buy this yogurt maker, looking for a place for it in the kitchen. There is a locker 28cm deep, I doubt it will. Dear yogurt maker owners, please measure the exact diameter and height.

I found everything on Ozone: 28cm * 16cm. I added it for those who have the same question)
NadinAn
Take to your ranks! After long agony of choice, this miracle unit took its place in my kitchen. Can you please tell me whether to put jars of yogurt in a large bowl or remove it? sorry for the stupid question.
MariV
It is possible in the bowl, without it. It's better with a bowl - if you accidentally spill milk, wash the bowl and that's it.
NadinAn
Thank you!

Good evening!
For a long time I made yoghurt with Evitalia sourdough in a Brand 4001 yoghurt maker. Then I gave up and decided to make yogurt again.I did it in jars and did not take out a large bowl. I remember exactly that I disinfected everything at once and most likely covered each glass with a lid and a large one on top.
Can I lightly cover each jar?
Aygul
Quote: lyalkads
Can I lightly cover each jar?
I do not cover, because condensation forms and then it will drain into the glass. A common transparent cover and that's it, if at home - after 2-3 hours I can remove it and drain the condensate, no - no, no one moves ... at the end, carefully remove it.
