The impression is like a cheap craft. Now I'll try to put it on only hot ... I feel that I will wear it for a long time during service repairs, but rather they will simply offer to return the money ...

If there is a lid that fits tightly to the bowl, or through a silicone ring, then when cold, you can close it, but from the kit it is not needed at all in this case. Yes, and less smoke will be needed, and you can look at the cooking process for fun (if the lid is glass) ...

Hot: the lower heater 830W turns on, after 5 minutes the chip heating element turns on. Total power 920W. Whether and after what time the sliver heating element turns off, I did not check.
I measured it with a device.
I will not carry it to the service yet.By and large, I was only dissatisfied with the poor installation of the cover in the lock. But the opinion about the crookedness of the product did not change.

On cold smoking, steam can escape, tightness is achieved only with hot smoking.
