vesennyaya, the dough slipped because you have practically no weaves on the basket - only one transverse tier. Why? And what is the diameter and height of the bowl on which you collected it?
diameter 16 cm, height about 10 cm. So, it was necessary to completely fill the gaps with dough. Thanks for suggesting an error
Svetta
vesennyaya, no, you took a very small bowl! Have you made all three elements - a frame with a bottom, a bezel and a handle? (I can't see the rim from the photo)
Now we will put it on the shelves, and your basket will turn out no worse than mine.

Thank you) I made a handle-baked on the same bowl, frame and bottom. But the bottom turned out to be crooked, I cut it off and masked it with glaze My mistakes: a small container, the dough had to be rolled out thinner so that it would not creep, right? And weaving without gaps?
vesennyaya
I generally have a problem with pigtails, and with weaving trouble, I barely intertwined two rows. Should we start from above or weave horizontal stripes from below?
Svetta
vesennyaya, Well, a big bowl, we already understood that, right?
You need to roll out thinly and cut into strips 1 cm wide, okay? Yes?
Look closely at my photos in MK - everything is very clear. We start the oven from above, we also make horizontal strips from above, bending up vertical strips. If you weave from below, how can you shove these strips under the vertical ones ???
I don’t bake the bottom separately (and it’s not written about it!), I put a circle of dough on the bottom of the dough blank, and bake it.
But did you make the braid bezel or not? You never answered me.
I baked the pen in a large bowl, then it will not turn out so huge.
vesennyaya
I didn't bake a braid, I wouldn't have woven it normally. I also attached the bottom from the dough on top, but it rose crookedly and the basket did not stand up normally, I removed the crust altogether and filled it with icing. It seems that everything became clear, it took me a lot of test for a small volume. I'll have to try again a normal basket to bake))
Svetta
Olya, divide this amount of dough in half and make 2 such baskets. Or blind in a simplified version, I showed

Svetta, thanks for your MK, everything is clear and understandable. Edible basket
But I, to my shame, also messed up. Do not judge strictly!

Herringbone, but for what to judge? It is not the gods who burn the pots, we all learn, for this I am showing a recipe with step by step photos. Nice basket turned out! The next ones will be even more beautiful !!!
Lyudmila_Belgorod
Thank you so much for the wonderful recipe! I will definitely try to bake it. After all, such a gift can be made out of this!
Svetta
Lyudmila_Belgorod, yes, such a gift is simply delight! I put either homemade muffins or cookies in there.
Lyudmila_Belgorod
Yes, some kind of bright cookie is needed there, maybe chocolate? I'm not really into cookies at all.
Svetta
Lyudmila_Belgorod, yes, chocolate will look beautiful. Or doused with chocolate. Yes, actually, everything will be in place!

Svetochka !
Thank you, dear, for such a wonderful recipe! And how nice that the recipe for Polish cuisine is an ethnic polka. Thanks to you, I made this little basket for mom in the cemetery:

I liked it very much (the basket)! Now I will bake for wrapping sweet gifts
Svetta
Lyuba, what a beauty! The ribbon decorated the basket very much, I liked the idea.
Prus - 2
Svetochka! I also want to write how I leveled the bottom. When baked, the bottom was not perfectly even. I left the basket upside down on the bowl, filled a small heavy saucepan with water and placed the baskets on the bottom (y). In half an hour - the bottom is as flat as a board!
Svetta
Prus - 2, I also level the bottom so!
Lyudmila_Belgorod
Thanks for the recipe! Today I baked for my mother's friend for her birthday, she does not eat cakes, and she cannot refuse pies. Tomorrow I'll bake pies and take pictures.
Svetta
Lyudmila_BelgorodThank you too for trusting the recipe. Don't forget to brag about your miracle later, okay?
Lyudmila_Belgorod
That's what I did. Then I packed everything in a transparent package with hearts and tied it with a gold ribbon. Yesterday they gave it to my mother's friend very much.

And another remark. I didn't really like the fact that the handle is not round due to the flat bottom of the bowl. I made such an overlay out of foil, like a hemisphere, suitable for the diameter of the bottom of the bowl. The handle is round.
@Tatyana@
Thanks for the recipe !!!
This is my first basket - really easy! And even without a handle it looks great !!!

Thanks again for the recipe !!!

I cooked it once, the basket stuck to death to a glass bowl, while taking it off, the whole thing broke. I came to the conclusion that it was necessary to make thicker "rods", not 1 cm. That's what to underlay so that it doesn't stick, I don't know. Can wrap a bowl with foil.
Svetta
supermam, be sure to wrap the bowl with foil and the foil still slightly (!!!) grease the grows. oil. The rods are 1 cm wide enough, just do not roll them out thinly, the dough should be at least 0.5 cm thick.
Good luck and looking forward to the photo.
supermam
svettaThanks for the advice, now you still need to set yourself up and find time.
Serenity
That's so beautiful!
A can be more detailed, how to weave, what for what, where to put the ends, etc.? a then I am a complete zero in basket weaving
Svetta
Serenity, Olga, I'm glad that you liked the basket.
As for weaving - take a close look at the photo, everything is clear there, start weaving from above. Connect the horizontal stripes together and hide the joint under the vertical strip, then nothing will be noticeable. Simply cut the vertical strips around the edge of the bowl.
And do not forget to wrap the bowl tightly with foil and lightly grease the foil with vegetable oil. Then the basket can be easily removed from the mold.
Good luck!
Serenity
svetta, Thank you! I will try to make this Easter

svetta, here is my basket, it was more convenient for me to weigh everything in grams on the basis that a glass is 250 ml.
svetta, this is your recounted recipe, the dough is very good and the pastries from it are delicious, and so, a glass of 250 ml.
fresh yeast 2.5-3 g
warm water 125 g
milk 125 g
egg 1 pc.
sugar 50 g
salt 0.25 tsp
grows up. butter 72g or 6 tbsp. l. (maybe the only butter I counted badly, but the dough turned out great)
flour 570 g
egg for lubrication 1 pc.
svetta, I'm sorry that I did the recount right here, maybe someone will be interested and it will be more convenient because the glasses are different.
The dough turned out excellent, now it was cold for 3 hours, it didn’t add flour when rolling out, it didn’t stick to the table, but it rolled out a little bit, it was convenient to work.
I didn't calculate a little with the thickness of the basket, it turned out to be thin, but with flowers from the remains of the dough.

I really enjoyed my work, thanks for the recipe.

Here is the report, the first two baskets, of course crooked, but their own

Olga, this is just a work of art !!! I am in mute admiration !!! Well, VERY beautiful !!!
Deer pussy
Olya, a very beautiful basket, and mushrooms are just a sight for sore eyes. And the mushrooms were sculpted according to what recipe and in what form?
vesennyaya
Girls, thanks a lot! And the forum for my beloved. Olya, baked mushrooms according to recipes from the Internet "mushrooms" cookies, but they all turned out to be different, differed in the amount of sugar and starch, I combined the two recipes, and I don't remember the details, because I baked them at 11 am and for the first time. And the shape for the legs is made of parchment bags, hats are balls of dough, they need to be thrown on the table in order to flatten the bottom, the holes, as advised, you can not immediately push in the hats, they then turn out well with a knife. I glued the cap legs with sahaon syrup. And downstairs I dipped the leg in syrup and then in the poppy. Got a lot from the release of the program "All will be good" - cookies mushrooms.

Girls, well, you fucking give! ...: girl-swoon: I thought that nothing would surprise me on this site - but you succeeded! The daughter-in-law has a birthday on Saturday, and the cake from me somehow is no longer very surprising. Everyone knows that I will come with a cake. And as my beloved Vovka from the distant kingdom said, I already broke my whole brain to give her this, so that she could open her mouth! And here it is, the solution - I'll come with a basket! Probably...
svetta, I can't even explain how frightened I got on your page. I wanted to see it, and that's it. And here - this !!! Perhaps this is fate! Thank you very much for the recipe, the idea, and the talent! But I had a question: after the form has been covered with dough and a basket has been formed, do you need to leave the blank for proofing? Or put it in the oven right away?
Svetta
Manatee, Nadia, oh, how nice that there is still something to surprise!
The dough is such that the proofing is essentially not needed, it will swell a little in the oven and that's it. These are not pies, the basket must be firm and dense. Read carefully all my recommendations and comments of the girls, make the pen thinner and you will succeed!
And in my recipes, see the Grandma's Scarf pie, also an interesting solution.
Manatee
Sveta, I read everything from bottom to handle, but I didn't find anything about proofing. But now everything is clear, tomorrow I will start training in weaving, I have already taken out the old dumplings dough from the freezer, while I practice on it. I would like to fill my hand at least a little, otherwise the audience there will be quite pretentious. Now I'm thinking about what to fill the basket with. The birthday girl is 45, can I get some strawberries for waffle? Or some kind of cookies in the form of berries? Okay, I'll think about it. I will try to take a picture of the result, or rather, I will take a picture of it, but post it on the forum ... this is unlikely, because computer cretinism. However, I haven't baked anything yet, but I'm already photographing ...
Svetta
Hope, but if you bake different cupcakes, and cookies there, and strawberries, and mushrooms. Yes, you can put anything!
Good luck!
Manatee
Svetlana, thank you very much! I also looked at my grandmother's scarf, now everything fell into place. I wanted to leave your gratitude there, but they wrote to me that I could ruin your karma not earlier than in an hour! : lol: So thanks for me! Thank you!

What a wonderful Temka! And how many design ideas! Svetochka, thanks for the master class! I will try to portray such beauty!
