Attention to beginners! Congratulations on joining the friendly company of bakers!

Panasonic bread makers have differences in performance compared to others.
Please do not be lazy to study the instructions.
If you have any questions, read the topic

Features of the Panasonic 254-257 bread makers.

Don't try or try to tackle an exotic bread recipe or quick baking program right away! Start with plain wheat bread on the main program!

Read "A guide to baking bread in a bread machine" and study "kolobok rule" (see the necessary links below, they are "clickable") - this is your minimum. Please note that recipes are often geared towards a "standard" flour that most flours sold in our stores may not have! Therefore, the kolobok rule allows adjust the dough at the stage of mixing.

Nothing else is needed to start.

We read the rest already after obtaining at least the minimum, that is, the first experience with the bread maker!

Realize that food volume and weight are not the same thing! 250 milliliters (standard glass) is only 160 grams of flour!

On electronic scales, the scale can be either in kilograms or grams, or in ounces and pounds. Be careful!

In section Helpful hints and help in baking bread
there is beautiful UNDERSTANDING BREAD IN HOMEMADE BREAD,
pay special attention To the kolobok rule

All possible rules, errors and links to their solutions are considered in the topic

The bread did not work out again, I did everything strictly according to the recipe. What can be wrong?
Attention! There is an error in the recipe in the "native" instructions for Panasonic - the amount of water in rye bran bread. See HERE

Remember that ALL RECIPES for making bread in a bread machine are suitable for ALL MODELS of bread machines.

For beginners (and not only) there is a section "The easiest bread for bread maker models"which contains SIMPLE and affordable recipes for wheat and wheat-rye bread.

Last week, on the advice of a friend, I went to your site and finally decided on the choice of a bread maker - Panasonic 255, a cool fully automatic oven, loaded it and forgot it until it was ready.
Hope
Congratulations! Another baker has become more.
Write about your successes and failures, and here on the forum you will always be helped.

HURRAH! I also bought 255 today!
It's just amazing - I couldn't buy anywhere in Kiev for a whole week - no, that's all, only 254.

And today in the online store, and for WMZ (as I wanted), today it was delivered - there is no limit to happiness
buffet director
and I bought super bread.

Congratulations, I bought myself an oven of this model on Sunday as a gift (I've already baked 4 bread!)
I'm very happy!
I, too, 15.11.07.bought the most wonderful Panasonic - 255! But, unfortunately, I have to sell it because of the move (((((((I know how many people hunt it ... I myself only managed to bake a couple of wonderful breads. She has only one drawback - all the time I want to bake and eat more ... I don’t know if I’m writing to the address here, but I didn’t find the announcement column ... Price 4500r. Selling in good hands.

Finally, I also became the happy owner of a brand new stove.
Now my joy is already at work, it is still engaged in the simplest thing - adjusting the temperature for a bread from wheat flour according to the main recipe. I'm a little worried, because I weighed the flour on a simple scale, not an electronic one (unfortunately, there weren't any in the store, but I'll try to buy tomorrow).

PS: I still decided not to take risks and not save, that's why I took the Panasonic 255, and I really hope that it won't make me disappointed, mmm ... While at least everything seems to be at a decent level, and the packaging, and instructions, and the unit itself with accessories externally inspires confidence, again, mmm.

Oh, guys, it seems to be bothering (mmm), there are 25 minutes left, I peeped with one eye, I seem to have risen, then I'll tell you about the final result.
Hope
I congratulate you too! I am very pleased with my Panasonic. Every day the bread is wonderful. Write about your successes.

Hope, thanks.
I just took out the bread, like in the picture!
Hope
Happy start to you! Keep it up!!!

It's great that everything worked out right away, and they'll bring me an SD-255 before New Year on the 29th, and I don't know where to start, so that the first pancake isn't lumpy, I'll probably start with the same ...

I'll probably start with the same ...
Of course, first the simplest thing, after all, the trick is what, you need to feel the car, the process, put a picture of what is happening in your head. Good luck! :)
Okssi
I looked at the recipes in the instructions, who will say what kind of chip it is: yeast B and yeast R? Is it dry ordinary? If it is written one spoon and another spoon - are they two dry ones or something else?
Elena Bo
Yeast B is the quantity for a standard, complete baking program.
Yeast R - quantity for the fast program.
The yeast is the same, the ones that need to be mixed with flour.

Congratulations!!!

From the joy of purchasing the same stove, the whole family stood on their ears for a week, we have been baking for 20 days - we just can't get enough bread! Sheer pleasure!

Everything is fine, just take care of the shape, read the next topic about this stove.

Oh, well, I can't resist - a question - where did you get the recipe from, from the instructions? And How?
I bought Ent the very bread maker in November. For recipes for a bread machine - a separate physical education greetings to the manufacturers!
Laziness, otherwise it was possible to sue them!
I bake bread every day, but according to my own recipes.

Since May I have been using the stove regularly. I tried almost all the recipes from the book. Except for rye and whole grain breads. Everything works out -.

About physical education - is it sarcasm?
I bake according to Panasonic recipes - everything, including rye, turns out great. I can't say anything about whole grain recipes, because I can't buy such flour in any way.
There is no need to sue, disgrace Most likely you simply measure the food incorrectly (inaccurate scales?).
Kiwi
Nuuuu, what to say about the recipe ,,,, of course, from the instructions for the stove, who will do it differently ...
I assure you everything turned out great! In addition, yesterday I baked a French bar, which, in general, is beyond praise.
I don’t know why you don’t succeed, you probably still need to listen to experienced bakers, such as Uncle Sam, for example, who, as I got the impression, knows 255 far and wide, maybe you have yeast and the flour is not of very good quality, maybe the scales are not the same, BUT I did not use electronic scales, but simple kitchen ones, mechanics, that is, and at the same time I received a breadcrumbs beyond praise !!!

PS: Maybe it's true that the 255th is completely trouble-free ...
Gelya
You also weigh, but I just count the tablespoons with a slide and always get what I need. HP is a great thing!
foxtrader
Whole wheat bread according to recipes from the instructions is also great.
So far I have found only one error in the instructions. There is a lot of water in the recipe for rye bran bread.

Yes, after your message I began to doubt myself - maybe I really did something wrong?
But no, I went to the page https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...f&Itemid=26&topic=1842.75 and made sure that manufacturers have something to think about!
Boo Boo
I bought it today. Hurrah! I just baked my first bread. It looks very much, it will cool down and I will find out how it tastes.
UmSabir
And I bought a Panasonic 255 a week ago!
Having read about the rules of the kolobok, I successfully baked the First bread. And now I'm experimenting with additives.)))) The stove is super.
lenami
The stove is super. I bought it myself a week ago. Yum yum yum bread
Lazareva Anastasia
And I bought a Panasonic 255 !!! So glad that the agony of choice is finally over! No one wanted to take Bork to me, I had to look for Panas, but I do not regret it! True, it turned out to be a problem to find him, but patience and work will grind everything up - turned the whole market upside down, but found only one baked so far - the main one, without additives, missed with the amount of flour, I had to add, did not have time to mix it up a bit (I realized late with flour), so the flat bun did not work out - the "torn" roof came out, but it was baked well, evenly, and the bread was delicious, so in the morning I put the next one
torturesru
The main roof is not the one on the bread, but what is on the shoulders. And everything is all right with her, since the bread is delicious. Congratulations and I wish you good luck in all your endeavors, especially bakery ones.

So I became the owner of the SD255 bread machine this weekend. And even quite successfully baked bread according to the main recipe. And now there is a question about timer baking. Only now I just can't figure out how the time is counted there? Is the Program time immediately taken into account? For example French starts at 6 o'clock, which means that if I select 6, the program will work immediately? Or will it turn on after 6 hours?

And why a French timer stove, wait for it for so long. If you need bread by 6 in the morning, and put it on at 11 in the evening, press 7 and by 6 the bread will be ready.
The timer indicates in how many hours you need the finished product.
DainaFay
Celestina, thank you so much!
torturesru
If you set the timer for 6 hours, then the six-hour program "French bread" will start only after the first 6 hours, in a word, the total time will be 12 hours
filby
Girls, I also bought such a bread maker
and she doesn't even knead the dough - it costs itself and that's it ((((((
and the program was correctly set and all the products fell asleep .......
maybe there is another secret?
Lazareva Anastasia
so at the stove temperature equalization takes from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the mode ... or does it not knead even after an hour?
Hope
filby
Try turning on a mode where the kneading starts immediately, for example dumplings or pizza, and you will see whether the mixer is working or not.
filby
oh - and tried it
does not knead
Lazareva Anastasia
well, then this is something unhealthy ... probably to carry the current to the seller
DainaFay
Does the spatula itself spin when you put the bucket in the stove?
Elena Bo
Do you press the Start button at the end of the program selection? Read the instructions, something tells me that at the most you have flipped through it.
filby
I pressed the start button - and on different programs - everything was useless
the spatula does not spin and the kneading does not go (((((
Elena Bo
Then to the service.
filby
It's a shame. The first time I buy equipment so unsuccessfully so that I can immediately go to service
Well at least I didn't have time to ship it to the dacha - as I sensed it - I decided to try it at home
torturesru
It's a shame, of course, you know :) But it's better than if it broke, when there is no longer a guarantee. By the way, if two weeks have not passed since the purchase, then you can not go to the service, but to the seller, usually two weeks are given for verification. It may be possible to replace everything with little blood.
filby
Two weeks did not pass, but the complaint department was still sent to the service

Although the lawyer herself rarely encountered the law on zp, I will have to study this issue now
Buyana
And my dream came true too - my husband bought me a Panasonic 255! Your site helped a lot in choosing. The first bun has already been baked, but the top has burst. The taste is awesome, they ate everything in one sitting. I downloaded a bunch of interesting recipes - I'm going to try!
Boo Boo
Congratulations on purchasing a great stove.
