... yes, I just cooked buckwheat and rice for the last few days ... So I decided to potatoes ... well, just out of curiosity how to cook it .... I got it boiled, in fish sauce.

New experiment. (And don't look askance at me - sometimes this is possible, and besides, even with a fresh "green" salad.) Lightly fried potatoes (3 medium pieces), cut into strips with onions and spices on... Attention... "Express".

So I was surprised - but everything worked out!

Poured a little oil, Art. a spoonful of water, laid potatoes, onions, salt, coriander, ginger, black pepper, turmeric. Mixed everything up. I switched on the "Express" mode (by the way, it is turned on simply by pressing "Start" without choosing through the "Menu"). And after 25-30 minutes the potatoes are ready ... with a light fry ... and what a fragrant

Or for a couple if, then only for prog. Extinguishing?

I'm not sure if there will be enough liquid for steaming something on top ... maybe eggs. Maybe I'm wrong and the girls will correct me?

I have never made potatoes in a cartoon, I will not tell you.

If you fry the potatoes, then it won't be enough, if you stew - it's enough.

By the way, somehow at the beginning of mastering this multi I tried potatoes at the "Pastry". I didn't like it at all. A very long time. and even when stirring, the potato loses its shape. On the "Express" I liked it better. True, I think that it is better not to try to cook more than 4 medium-sized potatoes - it will not be stewed ... I think so ...

Well! Cool! It's good for me, too, but a little more boiled .... And we love this. I think. that can depend on buckwheat, right?
SvetaGdeTo
And so ... I baked like a cake ... For the first time in my life !!! I didn't get baked goods !!!
Of course. I was upset, for me this is a slight shock ... Since I am with baked goods on YOU. Any dough I have very good. good at it. Well, except that the Kiev cake never baked. And suddenly ... True, with a multicooker I'm still on you.
It all started with that. that right away it was somehow difficult for me to figure out the recipe, with grams ... Usually I had to measure everything with glasses and spoons. Less often grams. I didn't bake anything with semolina at all. I look, in different books it is differently indicated how much is in a glass of the same semolina, and flour ... I did not like it right away and I suspected something was wrong. Then I put it on the Baking mode. There the time is 1.5 hours. just how much you need. I come to the kitchen in an hour.and already the Heating glows! And how long
he ? Turned on Bake again ....
In short, the "pie" turned out to be heavy, wet, not baked .... to be thrown away. And the smell of vanilla still walks throughout the apartment ... Here, there is nothing to bake for the night

It depends on whether you are pouring into a hot or cold saucepan. Teflon does not like temperature changes. Accordingly, if the saucepan was red-hot by pre-frying, pour hot water over it, and pour in at least part of the water before throwing cold cereal into the saucepan. If you are just going to boil the cereal, your saucepan is not heated, which means that the water must be cold.

I think, instead of the "Start" button, you mechanically pressed "Heating" and left without noticing. And she returned an hour later, and the cartoon is heated
I asked about buckwheat ... I thought that if you pour it with cold water, then buckwheat will be soaked in water for some time, while the cartoon heats it up, which means it will melt more. Although on the other hand ... he cooks a cartoon in any way on the Express for about 30-35 minutes, and if you pour hot water, then buckwheat will stay in hot water longer and, in theory, will boil down more strongly. In general, it's like thinking out loud
And about a heated multi bowl and hot water azaza correctly noticed

Exactly

But in general, it is logical to pour hot water into a preheated dish with a non-stick coating.

As for the instructions ... If someone goes to court because there is nothing in the instructions, and because of this something bad happened, they will immediately pay compensation and change the instructions. You know the story about the microwave and the cat? So, if the instructions do not say that you cannot pour cold water into a heated bowl, and it will deteriorate because of this. Then they will be obliged to replace this bowl, since they themselves did not warn that this should not be done. And if they fail, they will be replaced in court - the best instructions should be written

They'll give you fig, not a new saucepan. You will have to pay for an examination, which will prove that the saucepan has deteriorated due to pouring liquid into it of the wrong temperature. And the expertise is unlikely to prove this: they will need to purchase several of the exact same pots, and spoil them in different ways before they prove something (guess who will pay for all this?). And it's not a fact that the conclusions of the experts will say what you need.
So it's best to save the pot and not mess with the courts. At least in our countries.

There are some nuances in this issue. But, to be honest, there is no desire to discuss this - not a very pleasant topic (And why did I get pulled at it?).

Yesterday I baked this biscuit again. Turned on "Baking" for 1.5 hours. Distracted. Then I watch "Heating". I think I'm ready, so the time has passed quickly? I open it - dough. I closed it and set it on "Bake" for another 1 hour. An hour later it turned out to be an excellent biscuit. Here is the top cut
Multicooker Kromax Endever MC-31

I decided to make another one. Also "Baking" for 1.5 hours. I’m watching. After half an hour, "Heating" turned on. Shit. Immediately tried to turn Bake on again. Does not turn on. After a couple of minutes, it turned on. After half an hour, I flew back to "Heating" again. And again, after a couple of minutes I turned on the "Bake". The biscuit turned out anyway. Here is his upper cut
Multicooker Kromax Endever MC-31

It is interesting that when I first cooked this biscuit on the "Bake" the program did not jump off. True, I did not watch the cartoon like this time, but I can judge by the biscuit itself - it was completely baked, and this is possible only after 1.5 hours on the "Bake" or "Pastry". Why didn't the program jump off the first time, but jumped off the next two times? Maybe this mode is semi-automatic - that is, it reacts to the amount of liquid / overheating?

Prepared today pearl barley pilaf (tokma without meat) on "Express".
I washed the barley, poured it with warm boiled water for an hour (I needed more). She poured vegetable oil into a bowl, chopped onions and carrots, salted and pepper (black pepper), sprinkled with coriander. Put barley on top, salt and pepper (red pepper), sprinkle with coriander. Filled everything with hot water in proportions 1: 2 (not enough). After the end of the program, I left it on heating for half an hour. The pilaf is very tasty, but it would be a little softer for me.

Azaza, thanks for the idea

Manna, to your health!
Of course, your pilaf turned out to be harsh. Because the barley had to be soaked for two hours instead of an hour. Secondly, it had to be soaked in cold water! And in the cartoon, pour not hot, but warm. According to the principle: after frying (sautéing) onions with carrots, splash a little boiling water on the bottom, put cold barley on top. The saucepan cools down quickly from cold barley, which means that you can add cold water on top.The temperature of the water seems to me to be fundamental: from boiling water, the protein contained in the cereal (there is not enough of it there, but there is), curls up, and the cereal can no longer unfold to absolute softness. This time. Two - cold water will boil longer, so it will take longer for cereals to soak in it, which will not harm it at all.
Water, of course, had to be given more. And cook longer. I usually put out an hour and a half. Or, if I splash too much water, after an hour of stewing, I put it on express or normal cooking (in short, one of the rice programs that are cooked before the liquid evaporates). And then the pearl barley turns out to be literally airy, soft, tasty !!!
And the pepper is right, red is better. It is tastier than black (or rather, it enriches the taste of the dish), and, importantly, it accelerates metabolism.

Nah, as you said, it will be too soft for me (I like the pearl barley ... how can I say it? ... a little rubbery). So I made the following conclusion for myself: I will soak for 2-3 hours, and cook in the same way ... Well, maybe ... next time I will pour warm water, not hot (I did not pour boiling water) By the way, I did not sauté vegetables at all. I just put them on the bottom of the bowl, and on top of the cereal. Why saute them?

And I love all kinds of peppers ... and in any form
And also ... I made a conclusion for myself in my life: do not limit yourself to correctness (this is me about any rules, stereotypes, attitudes, "laws", etc., including in nutrition) ... natural (then what you want right now, what the body and soul are asking for) is much more useful, even if it contradicts the rules
azaza
And, well, if you like "rubber" - then of course. Here everyone selects for himself.

Quote: manna

Why saute them?

Well, it again tastes and colors. Who fries, who saves, and who throws anyway. For example, I don’t fry soups-borscht, but in porridge or stews I like onions at least to darken in butter, to gild. And if there is also meat there, or mushrooms, or both, then I fry it in order. But this is again from the category of taste and color.

My body and soul always asked for something tasty and nasty, and I always followed their lead. Believe me - nothing good came of it.But here again, everyone decides for himself, no one else is a pointer to him, and that's right

No, I mean, in the "Express" mode, light frying takes place at the end of the program, and since the onion and carrots are below, under the cereals, they are slightly fried.

Quote: azaza

My body and soul have always asked for tasty and mischievous things, and I always followed their lead. Believe me - nothing good came of it.But again, everyone decides for himself, no one else is a pointer to him, and that's right
Heh, so it was not the soul and body that asked, but the bad habits formed in childhood by the parents. Of course, nothing useful can be expected from such a thing. Therefore, I very much agree with you that "everyone decides for himself, no one else is a pointer to him" - this also concerns raising children, at least in terms of food (children sense much better than adults what they should eat and what not , even if such a diet seems wrong to an adult / of course, I'm talking about children who have not yet been spoiled by chips and Pepsi /).
And the soul and body ... I think everyone felt this feeling "I want something, but I don’t yet understand what" ... So this is the request of the body and soul.
Well, okay ... Again, I left the topic.

Thank you girls for your forum!

Since yesterday I have been with you. I report: prepared in a day
1. Pie on mayonnaise dough in baking mode - great!
2. Rice porridge on water-milk on normal mode - excellent, caught on time, almost fried the bottom, turned it off. Next time I will try, as you advise, on the soup mode.
3. Potatoes are practically fried, someone wrote here - great! There is a bit of oil at the bottom, I mixed the potatoes with small pieces with salt and spices, a couple of tablespoons of water, on the express mode - it turned out wow! (my son had to do the second portion just before the night)
4. Potatoes stewed with meat - excellent! At the bottom, chopped meat with onions, potatoes in cubes, salt, dill, a regular glass of water, on express mode, wow!
5. Pilaf - excellent! At the bottom, meat, carrots, raw onions, a layer of rice, water up to the mark, on express mode. Not real pilaf, of course, crumbly, but we eat it, everyone liked it.
I want to try the soup, then I'll write what happened. Lord, WHAT A MIRACLE !!!

When the potatoes were being stewed, the mother-in-law came - an old village woman, treated herself, said, I WILL BUY from a pension !!! She is 71 years old, in principle, not very good with technology. And I really liked the potatoes. And when she saw that there was nothing to wash except for this bowl, she didn’t need to come up and mix anything, there was no foam, she was stunned.
That's how much I've written, I'll go study the recipes. And my sister asked me to try to make lazy stuffed cabbage rolls, it's a pity that we can't eat everything at once, we don't have time to eat!

SvetaGdeTo
Tanyushka75, congratulations on a wonderful purchase! How great you wrote everything! Thank you! And not at all - always write in this way, in detail. We wait!
Tanyushka75

Cooked cabbage soup! Wow!

At the bottom there is a spoonful of vegetable oil, meat in pieces straight from the freezer, tomatoes and bell peppers in pieces directly from the freezer (I cut my fresh from the garden in the fall and into containers), dill from the freezer, cut onions, grated carrots. Closed, turned on the baking mode.
While I washed the sauerkraut and peeled and cut the potatoes, the meat and vegetables began to be stewed in the multi (I fiddled for about 15 minutes). Turned off, threw in cabbage-potatoes-salt-water hot to the mark. Soup mode. The time was displayed for 1 hour.
First I wanted to add some time, because potatoes, as you know, don't cook very quickly with sauerkraut. But I decided, if anything, then I'll add it.
Bottom line: in an hour I open it, try to break the potatoes with a spoon - soft! The soup is excellent. Cabbage like this has never been on the stove - soft, nothing boiled, the aroma of some kind of doubled strength!

Girls, I still want to try so much: some muffin, stew vegetables, cabbage rolls, stuffed pepper, a double boiler in action, and much more !!!

Tanyushka75

And a little (6 years old child) asks: "Mom, why did you close the stove?" And I actually closed the gas lid, put a vase of sweets. I tell him: "So now I'm cooking in a multicooker." The kid's answer: "Ah-ah, exactly!"
SvetaGdeTo
And I "trudge" from the timer! I'll fill it up ... I come - in the heat of the heat, ready-made already!
Tanyushka75

Yesterday I spent the whole evening on a branch about pastries, drooling. Tomorrow is the spouse's birthday, I might risk it.

And today: buckwheat! I threw in a chopped onion, minced meat pieces, unfrozen until the end, a spoonful of vegetable oil. Closed, baking mode. After about 20 minutes, when the meat grabbed, washed buckwheat, salt, warm water fell asleep. I turned on the soup mode. After 40 minutes I looked in - done! Turned off, mixed, yummy!

For two days I have never turned on the gas stove !!!
I really seem to love cooking !!!

Does any model in Kromax even have a sound signal? As I read this Swedish manufacturer did not provide for this. Or only the cheapest models are not, but others are? This is what stops me when buying! It is extremely important that at the end of the program you can hear the indicator that everything is finished so that you immediately turn off the machine and do not waste more electricity. We don't need heating and delayed start at all. Food was prepared and immediately ate. If we leave it to these modes, it will continue to spend electricity and it is not cheap at all here (in Bulgaria). So to prepare lunch or dinner with the least energy consumption, I want to hear when the program is over and immediately turn off the car!

My milk never ran away. Cook milk porridge on the "Soup" mode. 1 hour. I cook porridge in the proportion of cereal-milk 1: 3 (grains, flakes), 1: 4 (rice, millet). But here everything is very individual. So try it once, and then decide whether to add more milk next time or not.
