Girls, answer the question, is it really possible to cut cabbage for salting with a slicer? I heard that some people do this

There was a slicer in the plans for these purposes. But this idea lost its relevance after purchasing the Gigant Multihobel multi-cutter. At 1.58 and beyond of this video, you can see how quickly the cabbage is cut.

For the third year I have been cutting cabbage with a slicer for salting. Minimum dirt, maximum convenience and virtually no physical cost.
lyalya2
Oh no, Gigant Multihobel multi-cutters. this is not for me, I have a large shredder, which includes a huge oooooom swing of winter cabbage, but you have to put a lot of effort into it. This year I hardly put three combines and shredded them, but damn it, I'm sorry for the technique, so I thought about purchasing a slicer

What kind of slicer do you have? 6 huge swings with respite can really be chopped on it?
Stafa
I have a cheap Zelmer. In the first year, they bought 14 kg of cabbage - 1.5 hours with breaks and smoke breaks. And the slicer should rest too.

And who has a GORENJE Slicer, how is she? reviews on the Internet are not enough.

And I didn’t like it. shred cabbage slicer, quickly, yes, but my whole cabbage looked like spaghetti, got confused while fermenting, it was inconvenient to eat ...

lyalya2, for clarity - I'm not campaigning. But in fairness, with multi-cutting, almost no effort is required. There are 4 rows of serrated blades that cut in both directions. Moreover, you do not go through a shredder with cabbage, but on the contrary with a multi-cutter over a head of cabbage. Here's another opinion about her.

I have cut it for sourdough twice already, and every time I am delighted ... super!

Stafa
I cut the head of cabbage into 6-8 parts through the stump and shredder as Oreshek showed here https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=1432.0, but the radical chtol ate the pictures, but the very essence of how to keep the cabbage is told. I get 3-4 cm straws - very appetizing looking and eaten.

Everything, lit up, left with a choice to decide, today one ran into the store, there is a bosh from slicers

And I have been with you for the second year in pickling cabbage with a shredded slicer. This year, 3 three-liter cans very quickly shredded ... Otherwise, it has been idle lately, sometimes I chop the bacon thinly, I stopped cutting bread ...
Element
Hmmm ... Tomorrow I will become the owner of Boshik 4601)))) And I have never suffered from device dependence .... And then make the hotts' meat jerky, and cut your ham thinner ... And the kitchenette is only 5 square meters. m.))))

Girls, help that!
I read somewhere that slicers cannot cut oblong pieces !!! Only round sausages, i.e. perpendicular to the loaf of sausages! Is it really so ???
Kalyusya
ElenaMK, well, as you put it, it will turn out. Make the first cut with a knife at the right angle, and the slicer will finish the rest.
ElenaMK
Looked at gorenja and bomann. Does a bomber have such a convenient inclined wall?
lega
If you know how to cut evenly and thinly with a knife, and you do not have to cut large volumes very often, then the slicer is one of the useless wishes. I bought it, but I hardly use it.

With hard sausage, I did not particularly succeed in oblong pieces the first time, the second was not yet (((

Girls, owners of the Slicer Bosch MAS 4201, such a question for you. Everything suits me, I don't use it often, slicing on a festive table and bread for sandwiches, but ... my legs have nothing, no rubber, no stickies, just plastic, but there is emptiness inside them, maybe something should have been inserted there ? If so, where was it, maybe I threw out with the packaging? And then I can’t get used to it in any way, it doesn’t stick to the tabletop, you need to rest on something, but it’s not so convenient, I read it tightly with girls, rubber legs, tell me, girls, who has how? otherwise it will be needed soon, you will have to make a lot of cuts for the holidays, and again come up with something ...
Irina.
ksyusha1997, I have this, there is also emptiness in my legs (I went and looked). I put it on a silicone mat and it stands well, does not move. And I put the cut slices on the mat, and then I lay them out in containers / containers.
ksyusha1997
Irina., thanks for the answer, at least I'll calm down, otherwise I really thought that the one was really bad ... Irin, and the rug should be plump or thin, I saw thin ones on sale, I have no one to buy? Thanks for such a useful idea !!!
Irina.
Oksana, it is possible and thin, it does not matter, we will not bake on it. And you must first wipe the table with a damp cloth, and then spread the rug, so it sticks and will not fidget, it will lie flat.
I saw Fix Price at 41 rubles, fine, but it is also possible to buy for this purpose.
ksyusha1997
Irina., thank you, Irin, once again, I thought about this to begin with.

I have such a Bosch MAS 4200, before my birthday I freaked out and bought it, because there were a lot of guests, but there was little time, the slicer saved me a lot)
* Anyuta *
Like many girls on this site, buying another device (in this case, a slicer) hid it (slicer) from her husband until better times ...
Yesterday there was a reason to get a slicer. I had to get it in the presence of my husband. To my surprise, I was already interested in this thing and even asked me to try to cut something. Cut the meat, bread - he liked it. In the evening, sitting in a cafe, I began to tell everyone what a cool thing I had bought ... Mine was in shock ... Well, it is necessary that at least I appreciated something ...
In general, I am happy with my purchase - I looked closely and put off the purchase for a long time, but it turns out I had to buy this unit with my husband in a place !! (I bought myself a Boshik 4201N)

What a beautiful toy!

Beautiful is not the right word! Only the price on it. Amazon 340 euros, not happy at all

I looked here this model: Bosch MAS 6200. Simple, but fulfills its purpose.
I also liked: Bosch MAS 9101N.
This one is more serious. But they don't add up.
What can you say about these? Does anyone have it?
Pchela maja
Many people wrote about 6200 and 9101 here in the top, you can read it from the middle of the topic.
Still on it. amazon the germans praise ritter

reviews:

I got the device not so long ago, but I have been looking closely for a couple of years. And now, the "idiot's dream" has come true, I bought it.
The first impressions of the purchase - great, I thought it would be less. Unpacked, everything is extremely laconic. The device itself has a certain flair of industrial modern design, but more high-tech. To the touch, plastic is expensive, metal too. Looks no cheaper than it costs.
Actually in the process of cutting slices. Was surprised, but really cuts everything neatly and quickly enough.Tried it from bread to ham, everywhere the same excellent result. Very convenient adjustment of the cut thickness.
It is quite easy to work with the device, you just need to remove all the locks beforehand)) The device is designed for a right-handed person, although I am left-handed, I did not feel much discomfort. If the object of cutting is large or not of the most standard shape, then at the beginning of cutting it is better to hold it with your hand and only at the end use a safe device.
The convenient slide-out tray for slices is also pleasing, it is pleasant and easy to clean.
Of the shortcomings - weight and dimensions, this thing in a small kitchen will have nowhere to live ((
Advantages: It met all expectations - it cuts perfectly, I tried sausage, pork balyk, cheese - everything is super.
Stable, everything is safe, easy to work - figured out quickly.
And yet, I really like the design!
Disadvantages: The protective cover of the knife is arranged flimsy - to clean the knife, you need to remove or at least open the cover, it is thin, the pins are weak, you need to carefully and slowly remove it, otherwise you will break it at once.
And darling, of course.
Commentary: I went for this purchase because I was worn out with slicing ham - we love it, but thick slices are not tasty.
I had to buy a more expensive slicer, because this is meat with fibers, not sausage, more power is needed.
Everyone is happy!

I have a simple Bosch 4601 - with its 100 "cotton wool" it perfectly cuts cheese like the Russian one, it cuts the cheeses harder, well, sooo thin! Sausages of any density in dry-dry-dry sujuk, copes well with pike and pike-perch dried to a "stone state".

Folds up fairly compactly, the size is similar to that of Marina 1 Graef video, just pay attention at the beginning of the video a gray thing arrives and flies away - a pusher or a holder of products, the Bosch has a similar one and it cannot be disassembled, has an inconvenient shape and takes up a lot of space ...

The second drawback is washing. When I bought, I also thought, I'll put it on the table, since there is a place, and I will cut, cut, cut ... I also watched the video how easy it is to wipe with a cloth! But there are cracks in which crumbs and pieces of sausage and cheese are hammered. At first I cut it for a week, and now only on holidays.

She listed "Disadvantages", because sellers often do not know or are silent about such elementary things, and a commercial is a commercial.
My conclusion is this: if you really want and have money, you have to take it, if you think: do you need it - don't! I really wanted and don't regret it, but if it breaks down, I won't buy another one!

Has anyone heard or uses about Rieter's built-in slicer in a drawer. Now they are discussing on the forums. Very interesting by the way, but it costs 26000

there are also such - on hinges:

Has anyone used this? Is it worth the money or is it better to buy a folding Bosch and put it in a drawer as well?

In my opinion 245 euros for a slicer, albeit foldable, is expensive - both for the slicer and for me

I just read here that the folding Bosch is plastic and not of high quality. Bosch is worth considering 9101. But it's big
