Then look for plastic trays of a large size - they are suitable for decorating gingerbread, and metal is better under the sink - it will not burst at the wrong time.
My gingerbread cookies, etc. finally dry on plywood (stele a Teflon rug) or on flexible boards - they take up a minimum of space and are convenient.

I also fell in love with flexible plastic boards of large sizes

Please tell me, are these boards mostly sold in the same thickness? Which ones are preferable? I saw it on sale, but passed by, because I don't know what to pay attention to, how to choose? They are interested in organizing this type of storage in the freezer. This will probably be great for dumplings.

Creamy, Olga VB, maybe, in order not to "litter" this topic, answer me in Cutting boards

Strange, when ordering the kitchen, we wanted to abandon this pallet under the sink. We were not allowed, they did it with him. We thought we would do it ourselves, but at the price it turned out to be 300-500 rubles more expensive, and nothing needs to be done. I saw them in Leroy, of different sizes

Girls, hello! The renovation in the kitchen lasted more than a year, because my husband did it himself, they saved money for the headset and equipment. During this year I have read from cover to cover this Temka, and the accompanying Forum topics, I have brought a lot to life and I am very grateful to everyone who helped me in my choice. ... And now, finally, my kitchenette took on a real shape, installed, the equipment was connected, in general, my dream became a reality. I shot a short video and threw a bunch of pictures under the spoiler, if anyone is interested.
The entire design of the cabinets, both externally and internally, was thought out and invented by me for almost two months. Furniture makers just turned it into reality.

And here are the pictures, not all very high quality, but there are sooo many of them. I chose which ones to insert and which not, and, tortured by the choice, I attached everything.)))

Tanya, great you and your husband did it !!!
I especially liked the wardrobe with shelves for forms, gorgeous !!!
Mona1
Girls, thanks! Yes, everything was done according to my requests. In general, I thought without a sofa, a lot of equipment and I had it near this wall, they thought to make a countertop from the refrigerator to the wall, but decided to put some of the devices into the lower cabinets. They thought to take a corner sofa, but a lot of furniture, and the kitchen for all this furniture is small - 9m, so they made a sofa, but not a corner one. In general, I live with my husband alone, we, in principle, and that's enough. And if there are guests, then we collect them in the living room anyway.
I also wanted to say the headset for some points. The table top is at a height of 90 cm, and usually 85 is done. The husband did not want to remove the lid from the dishwasher, so the dishwasher was simply pushed into the niche, from the sides and top the gaps were 1 cm.
The upper cabinets above the countertop are at a height of 45 cm, and glass cabinets are at a height of 60 cm.But usually 55-60 cm is recommended, because it will be difficult to see the space under the cabinets, if you hang it below and you can still knock your head. But I really wanted to hang them lower, so as not only to get to the bottom shelf normally. Therefore, it was necessary to reduce the depth of the upper cabinets - glass and to the left of them to the sink - 20 cm depth (the depth is small, but in the course of time the glass will contain the most beautiful glasses, bowls, cups, I don't like being in three or four rows. on the left - a two-door, there - - all kinds of salt, pepper, starch, all sorts of the most popular things for cooking, so I also don't like to dig out the necessary things from the depths. And the rightmost brown top cabinet is 30 cm. And a visor with spotlights went to the left from it.
And on the opposite wall, the upper cabinets - the rightmost one - 35 cm, then to the left - two 25 cm each (and spotlights above them) and the leftmost two square facades - light and brown - are cabinets for spices. I built them flies a long time ago from improvised means. Their depth is 11 cm. They only changed the facades for new ones. So cabinets of different depths came out and you can find a place for any size of dishes.
A shelf with jars open to the right of the door - above the counter with tea bells and whistles. It contains jars of coffee, cocoa, tea. A television set was placed on top of it on a stand. The stand is as wide and as long as the length and depth of the shelf - 50 * 15 cm

lira3003, Rita, yes, she herself is delighted with my locker. Here is a prototype of it, which I met on the Internet and got sick with this idea.
Furniture for kitchen
But I wanted to cram more shelves, so I measured all my narrow devices and ordered a wardrobe so that the width of the space between the shelves in its pure form was by these dimensions + 0.5 cm.
In general, in addition to this cabinet, I also like the idea of a pencil case to the right of the oven, there are 2 compartments - the lower one in height, so that my largest baking sheet would fit in, and for the upper compartment there remained 17 centimeters in height and a depth of 60. I did not immediately realize what to store there. And then she stuck in the rolling pins, a wide tube of foil. Although at first I thought to put my silicone mat there after work, but it is long, bends even in a rolled-up tube and it is difficult to push it into this hole. Therefore, I am in a box under the oven - for the lids that I ordered to make a partition, and now my blue rug lives there on the edge. It turned out like this. Well, the old man - the spice cabinet - is also my favorite. I will insert these photos here again, so that readers do not look out there from the general heap:

Tanya, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable!
I have one open shelf, there is tea and salt, sugar.
All looking for the same jars for them. So that there is a neat look. Let it be for now Furniture for kitchen
But my husband managed to pour salt into a cup of tea, I don't know for whom I signed ...
But it's not convenient for me, according to the law of meanness, the necessary bank is always from below. .. and oil is not convenient to get.
And I really like your closet for forms! Someone showed in the subject, the same, only on the balcony.
And I asked my husband to do this in the wardrobe, (only so that the shelves were removable), but until my hands reached it. Okay, you reminded me, I need to strain him

Mona1Thanks for the pictures and storage ideas. Very cool! At first, what I liked the most is the narrow tray cabinet, very good! And after your explanation, there is also a box with a partition for the rug. Great idea! Well, in third place is the cabinet for forms. Thank you!

Tatyana, congratulations on the new kitchen! Let it cook deliciously and with pleasure!
Tanya, why did you decide to make the dish dryer open? If I see correctly, then there is a PM, which means that dry dishes will be added to the dryer
Creamy
Mona1, Tanya, Congratulations on your new custom tailoring kitchen! Bravo! It is very true that you have chosen personal convenience and functionality as the basis of everything. I wish you new creative culinary success!

Mona1, urrrraaaa !!! Done !!!!
And when you do not sleep long nights and think over every millimeter, now everything is especially happy!
Great, Tanyusha!
I see how Tanya's oven winks with a blue eye, showing the current time - :) it means that you have made friends with her!
Congratulations!!!
Mona1
Kara, Irina, yes, I wanted the dryer open. There is a dishwasher and the dishes from it are dry, and even if I wash something in the sink, I put it on a towel to dry, if I’m too lazy to wipe it or wipe it and also put it dry so that the drip tray does not get dirty, our water is harsh. But you have to use a dish dryer very often, much more often than other cabinets and, firstly, I wanted to have easy accessibility, and secondly, our facades are glossy painted MDF and I don’t touch the facades with my hands, only the handles. If you close it with doors, then you constantly need to open and close, and you can accidentally hit the facade with some kind of plate. And the wall behind the dryer is very cold, we had a closed cabinet in the old headset and mold grew on the back wall. So there is not only a dryer without doors, but this entire cabinet to the top - without a back wall (the tiles are visible there in the background). In addition, the upper cabinets hang only 45 cm from the countertop and there is just a sink there, I didn’t want any possible splashes on the facades. In general, the first reason is quick accessibility to dishes, the second is the banks of the facades, and the third is the cold wall at the back.
Creamy, Alevtina, thank you very much, it was the convenience that I really needed, well, so that the kitchen does not irritate me aesthetically, but creates a mood so that I just want to LIVE there)))

Tanya-Fanya, Tanya, yes, the nights were often sleepless. Something did not work out in the design if, then you cannot sleep, you rearrange these lockers this way, then that way. And the oven - yes, I made friends with her, now I would not want another,
Kara

In general, the first reason is the quick accessibility to dishes, the second is the shore facades
My facades are natural veneer, nothing happens to it even from splashes. Accessibility to the dishes is very simple and convenient, the doors are opened and forward. But with a gas stove on open shelves and on everything that stands on them, does a greasy deposit settle? I had gas in my old apartment, once a week I washed all horizontal surfaces with detergent, since the plaque was disgusting.
Quote: Mona1
and the third is the cold wall behind
But this is a good reason
Mona1
Kara, well, veneer and varnishing are slightly different in practicality. Any scratch on the varnish is visible. And if you hit the varnish, then it is like glass - it can go small cracks. It is not recommended to even slam the door with glossy MDF often. Therefore, they put shock absorbers everywhere for me (such rounds are silicone, the door, as it were, knocks against them when closing, and not on the wall of the cabinet.) Gas - I only have a cooking stove, and the oven is electric. There is an extractor hood above the cooker, I turn it on all the time. But my brewhouse is not busy to the fullest. Basically a teapot, pancakes, pancakes, cheesecakes. Cutlets. Fish sometimes (I cover the pan with a lid). Mostly I cook in a multitool, pressure cooker, airfryer and oven. And there are only two eaters. But while the kitchen is still short, it can be smoked over time, of course. I don't even hang curtains yet. Made the roller blinds and that's it. I think maybe their nafik, these tulle-mules, will all fall into dust.

Mona1-Tanya, congratulations on the dream come true!
I looked through it with such pleasure!
Indeed, everything is thought out and implemented (done) for yourself and for yourself (up to a centimeter!)!
And "furniture makers" will quote you ..

Quote: Mona1
I don't even hang curtains yet. Made roller blinds and that's it.
+ window sill as a useful area.
In addition to roller shutters ("Roman curtains"), I hung vertical blinds, but (!) 40 cm from the windowsill.
Mona1
bangs, Natasha, thank you, while the furniture makers were installing the furniture, I prevented so many of their jambs, and I overlooked some. For example, two doors shuffle on the soffit when opened. It is necessary to slightly raise the visor or slightly lower the doors. The husband said he would do it himself. Well, and even on trifles - either they regretted the silicone when installing the sink, then they installed the cooking pot for a couple of cm more to the left than I needed. There I have handles on the cooktop, not in front, but on the side to the right. The cooking compartment itself is 60 cm and the hood too, but if you put it directly one under the other, then, as it were, the burners will be shifted to the left. Therefore, on the cooktop I drew the middle, as it were, between the right and left burners, and not at a distance of 30 cm from the edges. And so that this line, asked, coincides with the middle line of the hood. That is, the edge of the hob with handles, so that it would come out to the right of the edge of the hood. But they cheated a few centimeters, I gave instructions and left the kitchen. They cut a hole in the countertop, put in a cooking stove, and, like - the hostess, everything is ready. I went in and gasped, it’s not there at all, and nothing can be changed, the hole has already been cut.
And the window sill - yes, it's an additional surface. You need to use everything.)
Prus - 2
Tanya, I have been repairing it for 2.5 years (and the kitchen), the same thing - I cook very little on gas and always with a hood. Filters in the hood - yes, they get dirty and even very! I wash them in the dishwasher about once a quarter (I don't often use gas, and yet like that in time). The cabinets are all clean! There is no plaque! All surfaces are washed once a week - the rags are clean! My curtain hangs dark red. 2 times a year with a vacuum cleaner + a steam cleaner - normal flight)). So don't be afraid to hang up the curtain! But, about all sorts of fallout, not white. A multicooker lived on the windowsill, in which I mainly cooked. And now it's a multi-courier.
Mona1
Prus - 2, Lyubasha, you understand, right there not only in the soot from the cooking business. I live in Donetsk, we have coal dust, although it is less than in the past, many mines do not work, but I still have the first floor and a window into the courtyard, cars dart back and forth all day. If the window is ajar, then there is a lot of dust on the windowsill and on the curtains. Do not open at all - then there will be no airing. If the hood does not work, then the air is not drawn anywhere, there is no natural ventilation. There the valve is inside the hood, it opens only during its operation.

I wanted to say one more technical nuance. I have a kitchen with a niche. This is a typical 9-storey panel house of the Soviet period, a lot of such houses have been built. I saw on the Internet that a small step was made in this niche, and as if everything that stands on it does not form one whole with the sink and countertop, but as if it is raised, if water splashes during washing, then it will not flow into the niche ... The step is cut from a piece of the table top. I purchased 2 standard countertops 305 * 60 cm, it seems. One lay along one wall completely, and from the other pieces were cut out for the side countertop, to cover the top of the oven, the bedside tables for the bread machine to the left of the oven, and for this step. Moreover, I made sure that this step was made not strictly horizontally, but with a small (1-2 degrees) tilt forward, so that if something is wet it will be put there so that it does not flow into the niche. By the way, in Temka I saw a photo of a nozzle on a faucet, like an elephant's proboscis)), so that water would not pour into the sink from such a height, I bought it and put it. Cool. This nozzle is also in this photo.

Margonica, Ira, a very good option for combining the color of the facades with black glass. Moreover, the hob is black glass, and the oven is partially black. Everything is laconic. The technique is not visible. Is it hidden in cabinets or is it enough for cooking the hob and oven? And what about the walls? There, a wall is visible with a brick - this is probably the wallpaper, and the rest is a tile or some kind of coating?

Hmm, why is it expensive, I don't see any pens there at all? This is the facade?

Margonica, cabinet above the microwave, under the glass door, what have you got there?
I liked the combination in your kitchen, very harmonious. The kitchen and the apron, the countertop are super!
Tanya-Fanya
Twigyes, this is a facade with a handle integrated into it. Therefore, the cost of such a facade is sometimes more expensive than simply screwing an inexpensive handle.
I also have facades with integrated handles, very happy. You don't hit anywhere, you don't hit or cling to. I also chose an oven with a touch panel. The only thing that stands out is the oven opening handle - :)

Mona1, Tanya, congratulations on updating the kitchen, everything is well thought out.
About a narrow cabinet for trays is the right idea, I also have such a cabinet, though I didn't think of making a shelf for long rolls there, the space disappears :))
This I was greedy to make a bottle-maker, well, I don't like them, I asked to make a narrow door with hinges. It turned out to be very convenient.

Tanya-Fanya, Oh, I see. I thought the price of the facade is not much affected.
My mother has aluminum handles not integrated into the facade, but on top of the facade, but it is also necessary to cling. I am uncomfortable because the drawers are pulled out with effort due to the closers, this is either a "goodbye manicure" or twisted fingers.

There is a nuance - how you need to grab this handle with your fingers, a notch from bottom to top or top to bottom. Here, mom's made it inconveniently, you need to cling to the top with your finger.
