Zima
sazalexter, I have a question for you.

I didn't immediately notice that when beating it with a round whisk, it scrapes around the bowl, but it only touches its front wall, at first I thought that it was undissolved sugar that made such sounds, and then I beat the eggs without sugar and realized that it was not sugar. And in this place, a scuff (thin stripe) appeared near the bowl - a trace from the rim. This is audible only at low revs, then the sound of the engine overlaps all other sounds, so I can't understand whether the rim touches the bowl at high revs or only at low revs.
Is it possible to somehow adjust the height, that is, to pull the whisk up by a millimeter at home, or is it impossible to do without SC?
sazalexter
Zima Is the whisk fully inserted? If yes, then only service At your own risk, you can try to bend the wire whisk in the right direction.
Zima
well, yes, all the way, in the same place, if you don't insert it all the way, the nozzle will not lock, I went now and checked again in the empty bowl + all the other planetary nozzles at the same time, yes, only the whisk touches the bowl, and I realized that it touches all speeds, the hook and the stirring pad is properly adjusted.
How reluctant in the SC, but reluctant to scoff at the nozzle, suddenly what a more serious breakdown - then prove that you not a camel used the harvester for its intended purpose ..

thanks for the answer

Tell me. Does Bosch Mum 54240, 54251, 56340 have an average grater?
Zima
available, but not included in the kit - you need to buy in addition
sergovlena
Yes, I see, thanks. Is this average grater from mum8 suitable? The fact is that here in Belarus I only found this for Mum 8, it seems they wrote that from the 5th series to 8 it looks like, but I'm not sure, can anyone clarify?
dandelion
Do not hesitate
inse0f
Tell me which Bosch MUM 54240 attachment can be used to make pancake dough? Stir minced meat with additives, for example?

Another question is how effective the KM 266 K-piece is.
Food processor Bosch MUM 5 ...
, for which dishes is it needed and what cannot be repeated on Bosh MUM5 attachments?
Zima
If I make pancakes "zvezdulina" from this site, where you need to pre-beat the eggs, then I use a round whisk, if I make pancakes according to a different recipe, then depending on the volume - or a whisk or if there is not a lot of dough - then in a blender.
I knead the minced meat with a mixing attachment (which is of 3 twigs), I read that some do it with a hook.
inse0f
Does the dough turn out good without lumps? Interested especially for thin pancakes ...

I would also like to inquire about the possibilities of crushing nuts, sautéing onions, greens - since there is no classic knife here, can you replace it with actions on a blender and graters?
sazalexter
inse0f The pancake dough is just wonderful! Nuts can be grated or in a blender

Girls, help !!! I can’t want it. I can't decide between 5 and 8 series, the difference is significant in price. Cubic cutters to 8, as I understood, are not present and you will not buy them in addition. Although I have Phillips 1669, but I want to. so that the cubes are smaller and one unit is better than 2. But in extreme cases, I will survive the absence of cubes in Boch 8. But I definitely need to know if the 5th series mum is capable of high-quality kneading yeast dough, rye dough with sourdough. What is the maximum volume? How vegetables are chopped, without straining? If I am not able, I will tend to the 8th series, and in terms of functionality and price, of course, the 5th is attractive
Zima
About MUM 5. The maximum weight of flour according to the instructions is 750 grams, and this is really its limit. He kneads the dough even with 500 grams of flour, that is, kneads, but at the same time creaks, I personally do not feel comfortable, the feeling that the combine is very hard - so as a dough mixer I am not happy with it. For the rest of the functions - excellent, very satisfied, even with a meat grinder!
In my opinion, if you need a dough mixer, that is, to work with yeast dough everyday - then MUM 5 will disappoint. If you knead it once a week, it will do.
But this is, of course, IMHO.
I can’t say anything about MUM 8 - I didn’t use it, so I have nothing to compare with, maybe I would be unhappy with MUM 8 as a dough mixer, or maybe I’m delighted, I don’t know
lemusik
And I am VERY happy with the kneader. Perhaps the manner of "nodding your head" while kneading is embarrassing for someone, but this is by design, and I think that 8 does exactly the same.
MUM 8 has a larger bowl, that is, you can knead more dough. But a small amount of dough will already be smeared on the walls. So - who needs what. I do not bake on an industrial scale, but a full measure of rye dough (I also bake with sourdough) 54240 kneads calmly, even a little dough, throw it off the walls with a spatula under the hook.
And on the mini-abbat, he kneaded a piece of dough for me, literally tiny, he did it too))).

What I like least is the shredder - there are much more leftovers than in 2050 (there are simply NO!). But in comparison with many other shredders it is quite tolerable.
Zima
I have him not just "nodding his head", but also creaks at the same time
Ukusilda
The cube cutter arrived.
A fruit salad has already been made, 2 vinaigrette and carrots are cut in industrial quantities))))

A lot of the product remains in the grid, is it possible to disassemble it and shake it out into a cup, or can you somehow push it with a white contraption?

sergovlena, if the volumes are large and the funds allow, then take 8

Can you please tell me, are shredding discs from MUM 5 coming up to 2050?

Not. 2050 discs with a plastic pimp in the center. MUM 5 disks ... have no pimples.

Tell me, whoever used a julienne disc for slicing carrots in Korean. I got all the slice of different sizes and a lot of little things. And a part of carrots 5 mm thick hangs in a circle on a disk and is threshed into flour. Maybe I did something wrong ... tell me from your experience ... pliz ..
Zima
I have a similar situation with a fries disk, so I practically don't use it, since fries need pieces of the same size, but I don't get it, at least sort them later ..
I use the disc for Korean carrots as follows: I cut the carrots across to the width of the loading compartment, put these pieces sideways, fill the hatch to the top, turn on, during operation, the remnants of the previous piece are pressed down next and normally wiped, there is only a strip from the last block in the waste.
Maybe a little small shavings get into the mixture, I did not look closely, since I do not make Korean carrots, but use this shredder for cooking fried and stewed dishes. But it seems that it turns out uniformly.

Basically, if a piece gets twisted, you can stop the combine, remove the lid and remove it ..

Different sizes, for sure, but on speed this does not affect my aesthetic perception, the main thing is it quickly and not by hand

Hello! So I am suffering, choosing a food processor for myself The problem is that we need a nozzle for homemade sausages in a meat grinder, in this regard, a question for the happy owners of MUM 5: is the nozzle suitable for a set of nozzles for Bosch sausages MUZ7WS2 for meat grinders of series 5 combines ? Or you will have to buy MUM 54420 + cube + separate meat grinder
Thank you in advance for your reply!
kirch
I went to the service center, wanted to buy nozzles for MUM 5. I was shocked by the prices. A cube cutter costs 5200 rubles, a nozzle for a medium shredder - 900 rubles. I didn't want to contact the online store, but I have to

As for me, it's still better than manually
Zima
for soup or stew it will go, and if for fries it is better on a berner (although I don’t eat it) or another manual vegetable cutter, it’s not even a matter of aesthetics, it just turns out more uniformly, which is important for fries.
Zima
Guys, look what I accidentally found. The updated model 57810 is already being sold abroad.
Food processor Bosch MUM 5 ...
I want a nozzle with a silicone pad
sazalexter
Zima Explain why? Maybe I need it too?
Zima
Beat the butter creams on the cakes, she removes the butter from the sides of the bowl and mixes it evenly.
The nozzle, which is now included in the kit, cannot cope with this - the oil is smeared on the walls of the bowl. In any case, the amount that I tried to do.
Zima
and also the advantages of the new model - the shredder has dark plastic (you won't have to scrub off the carrot juice) and there is no plastic at all on the planetary attachments - all parts are metal!

Good afternoon, girls. And young men))) I have been reading your forum for a long time, I am very glad that I came across it. For half a year I could not decide on the harvester, but thanks to you I almost made up my mind. mum 24240 li 56340. That's just an idea arose. Here on the previous page, the girl wrote that the disc-julienne from Mum 8 came up to her 5th. And I had a seditious thought - and the nozzles for rolling out the dough with an adapter, which are sold for the 8th Mum, will not fit the 5th by chance? As I understand it, they are inserted into the slot for a meat grinder. Maybe someone asked this question?
So all the same there is such a prefix to MUM 54240 ???
Zima
In the next topic (Bosch 8400), the girls posted a photo of the nest of the Mum 8 combine, where the rolling is attached. Go see.
In reality, none of our users tried it on, in any case, no one talked about it.

Thank you!
it looks similar, but there are no protrusions for attaching the adapter, but it seems to be fastened with a screw and is unlikely to enter because of the protrusions :-(
it’s strange that I’m the only one who needs to roll out the dough, because it’s so convenient :-)

By the way, rummaging through the Bosch website, I found new (as it seems to me) nozzles for Mum 5:

MUZ5GM1 -mill with adjustment from coarse to very fine grain except corn, also dried herbs and mushrooms

MUZ5EB2 - ice maker
Zima
Yes, I have not seen such .. is this a Russian site or a foreign one? it happens that there is a product, but it is not delivered to Russia, unless ordered abroad. can you give a reference? on our site you can give inactive links.

and many were interested in the dough sheeter attachment in our topic, well, there is none. Apparently, it is not profitable for the manufacturer to make the entire range of attachments for each model. Here at MUM 8, although it is a top series, but there is still no cube cutter, however, there are rumors that it will appear by the summer - I read it in the next Temka ..
Zima
Yes, the prices of service providers are, of course, horror! It doesn't cost that much. The volume is small. You can add another 2,500 rubles and bring a freezer from Germany ..

Thanks for the links!
Erika
What if the whisk rubs the bottom of the bowl on one side?
sergovlena
adjust in height. The 8 series is precisely adjustable. Maybe in the 5th too?
Zima
The 5th is not regulated, already the third person complains about it. Perhaps it is necessary to call Bosch and consult.

Contact the service, bend the whisk rods, as an option.

good afternoon, members of the forum. I'm in a hurry to share my discovery - I have a mum5 with a meat grinder - and so the juicer attachment from the Soviet meat grinder is perfect for this meat grinder! today I was sorting through the rubble in the summer kitchen and found this auger (as it is now fashionable to say) juicer, measured it - it fits perfectly. and you can also attach the sausage stuffing attachment. so keep in mind))))
lemusik
But my hands never came to try on the old juice nozzle on Boshik)))
If mine fits, it will be SUPER! Thanks for the info!
And for sausages I don't have ...

And for sausages I don't have ...

So buy the most common one on the market, it costs a penny. I bought an ordinary nozzle on the market for the 4th Mum, a standard one, came up fine. Almost all meat grinders have a standard pipe diameter, I see no problem attaching any standard attachments for meat grinders there.
lemusik
Yes, I already looked at these things in Yandex - nothing high-tech, so any will do))).

Yesterday I used a cube cutter to cut vegetables for vinigrette. With all the getting from the mezzanine, installation, cutting and disassembling-washing it took 15 minutes at most. Cleaning vegetables and it turned out longer)))
Another thing is that I did not like the steamed beets in cubes - yet too much juice went into the water ...
Next time I'll try to cut the boiled vegetables. Well, or I'll cook the beets in advance and chop the boiled ones, and I'll cut the carrot-potatoes raw and cook them into cubes).

But the nozzle itself - that's not a penny spent on it, it's not a pity!
AILIN
Hello! I need your help!!! I have already read so many topics on the choice of a combine on the forum: read: that I already dream about them these combines Fired up on the MSM 5529 cube, but I don't like these flaws in it, and I also want to use a planetary mixer and knead the dough. In general, you need to combine in one machine a stationary mixer (make a biscuit, meringue), a bread maker (so that the dough is kneaded) and a vegetable cutter. It seems that here it is, my universal MUM 5 series harvester and a cube cutter for it is already on sale. There is already a separate BRAUN G3000 meat grinder (1500 W) and a submersible blender MOULINEX DD721 (600 W)
Family of 3 people.
1) You need to beat the whites on a meringue, knead the dough for pancakes, yeast for pies, and for pizza and ciabatta for 300-600g of flour. I do not bake often, a maximum of 3 times a week.
2) Of course, I plan to use graters more often, chop cabbage, another, (otherwise I recently rubbed a mechanical shredder, and rubbed a piece of a finger along with cabbage) carrots and beetroots in Korean with straws, cut potatoes on potato pancakes, and so on with slices all sorts of salads. (I know that the graters will have to buy) Interested in how to cope with specific types of rubbing, and what does everyone say about large pieces in waste? Which ones?
3) I would like to grind onions, herbs, garlic, nuts in small quantities somewhere. Is the blender that comes with the combine suitable for this? Or do you have to buy a shredder separately?
4) Well, and necessarily a cube, because of it, then all the boron cheese. Maybe someone regrets? Wouldn't you buy it a second time?
I choose between:
MUM 54 240-900 W, there is everything, price 380 ~ 415 $ Slovenia, is at the office. website
The most profitable, I would buy it: MUM 54251 - 900 W, there is everything, even a dicing attachment !!!!! price ~ 360 $ but at the office. site no! and this is embarrassing and why is it cheaper than 54240 by almost $ 50, because it already has a cube cutter? Who knows?
Please help me figure it out !!!
sazalexter
AILIN You did not read the thread carefully, otherwise more than half of the questions simply would not have arisen
The cube is the most demanded grater (for me), the harvester does everything else very well. The little pieces remain with him, but there are very few of them, one or two a couple of mm thick. other combines are much worse with this

AILIN You did not read the thread carefully, otherwise more than half of the questions simply would not have arisen
I read it very carefully, otherwise I would not be writing in this thread. Because I decided on the choice of the series and the company of the combine. And in this, of course, everyone who wrote and shared their experience helped. Thank you all !!! It's just that I have never had such a technique, so there is nothing to dance from. And it is important for me not to be disappointed in the purchased unit, but to rejoice at its full functionality in the matter. Because there is no possibility, if anything, to buy another one. So get in the position and don't scold too much ...
And as for some repetitive questions, sorry, here I certainly wanted to hear positive feedback again! They say everything is super, take it, do not hesitate !!!
lemusik
The cube cutter is a wonderful thing! They have now appeared in a variety of options, at least in some, but it MUST be on the farm. The Boshevsky attachment for MUM5 is quite a worthy thing!
There are residues when cutting into cubes and shredding, but not very significant. If you think over the order of bookmarking different products, then "waste" can be completely minimized.
For the rest - you know better, of course - which attachments will be in demand and which will not. The differences between the models in the series lie precisely in the attachments.
I really want to buy a mill attachment when they appear. A corn grinder would still be ...
