Anna, I recently received Kevlava gloves from Ali. I will not say that very dense jersey is present there.
I thought that I could safely transplant a cactus into them. Nooo ... a needle and turned out to be stronger.

So this is jersey! You can pierce it, but not cut it. For roses and cacti, special rubberized garden gloves are needed, not Kevlar.

No, Anya, Kevlar is a very durable polymer, there is no metal there.
Larissa, I guess I just didn't find Kevlar gloves on Ali. Gloves are written "anti-cutting". From the description:
Material: 44% special polyester, 46% stainless steel wire, 9% polyester, 1% elastic line
But, judging by the reviews, there is no wire there. Although, in my opinion, it should be reliable.

In the same description it is just written in Chinese "Russian", literally: "The product is only for cutting tools or other objects with a harp within the protection of cutting protection, can not protect the tip or other objects with a harp of objects puncture." So from injections, they, apparently, should not protect, only from cuts.

Tois also on the harp you can play fic in them ... damn it ... And I wanted so much.

No, I won't take it.

Here are two gloves close up. The left one, excuse me, is very elderly (what was not done in it - even the oysters were opened). The cloth looks loose, but it feels like a strong, elastic "chain mail" to the touch.

Mirabel, Vika, I once said for a long time that Kevlar gloves will not protect against punctures!

So I bought myself these. They are doused with nitrile and save from teeth if, for example, rub / shred carrots on a julienne insert

URRRAAA !!! I made it !!! NEGATIVE picture !!!

dopleta
These gloves are sold in gardening and building products, I work in them in the garden. They are good because they breathe: the back side is jersey. But the Kevlar julienne insert won't cut through! Only the needles are pierced.

I only shred cabbage with a nozzle of 4 double knives. And the onion adapted itself to her - I love it when the onion is small, and with this attachment the onion is so thin that it is not visible afterwards.
I confirm about the bow! My husband, a big onion-lover, does not notice it fried in pilaf or in salads, anywhere else! Just for the sake of this, it's worth buying a Giant, before that I had never been able to hide the bow so skillfully.
Mirabel
Sveta, and can you link to these gloves?

here it gave me a search ... But I bought three years ago and, it seems, not for this money I definitely have "CUT 5" - that is, the fifth degree of protection against cuts / pricks, etc. Exactly the same as in the photo

And I am left-handed, I gave one glove to my right-handed sister, a double economy happened to her!

Svetlenki, and on Ali they are?

It turns out there are chainmail gloves.

They intimidated me that the TNS-3000 grater does not cut vegetables into cubes and for three days I could not take on the long-planned "warm vinaigrette" (I forgot the correct name of the recipe from our forum).
I don’t know how anyone did it, but everything worked out for me, although not immediately. I do not know how to work with the fruit holder at all, but I stumbled, practiced, analyzed, understood the algorithm and the vector of force application, adapted to hold the fruit holder correctly and, voila, I got even small 6 * 6 mm cubes. And you can also cut with rhombuses, but for identical rhombuses, you still need to practice the eye and fill your hand.
Carrots and onions were cut best of all, beets are harder, but they are the most oak of raw vegetables; with potatoes it was worse, I had the last two, already slightly sluggish potatoes, with more difficulty, but I also managed to chop them into cubes. In another topic, the girls wrote that even Berner does not cope well with sluggish vegetables, so I think there will not be such a plug with normal potatoes.
In general, I am satisfied, the grater has not disappointed me at all, this is a good thought-out tool, the main thing is to use it correctly. In the vegetable holder, the last plastic is only about 0.5 cm thick.
Next week I will finally crawl out to the store, stock up on fresh vegetables and master a larger cut into cubes, diamonds and cubes, then I will write off the results.

They scared me that the TNS-3000 grater does not dice vegetables
I only wrote this (talking about raw carrots):
Quote: dopleta

At the smallest division, nothing worked for me. It turned out only on 4-ke, but I must say that you need to apply much more forces than on a Berner.
Marfusha81
I can chop boiled potatoes and carrots on a neiser and into a mesh for 3 kopecks which (in the form of a lid).
So this is not an indicator for a grater.

Only that were raw vegetables.
Quote: dopleta
(talking about raw carrots)
I rubbed raw carrots, raw radish / turnips and oak celery, leeks with thin rings on a salad with small strips, with this there is no difficulty at all, and with cubes it is technically more difficult, there it is necessary to draw on the blades twice in different directions and at a greater thickness.
dopleta
Galina, Are you on purpose? First, I wrote about cubes:
Quote: dopleta

While preparing vegetables for the baby now, I decided, instead of grating raw carrots on a grater, to cut them into small cubes on a tske. At the smallest division, nothing worked for me. It turned out only on 4-ke
Secondly, we are not talking about onions - I write all the time about the difficulty of rubbing hard root crops. And not only me. Here's another opinion from many:
Quote: Cirre
From hard, I tried carrots, you can chop, but you need to make an effort.
But if you don't have any difficulties with this, then great! And it's even good that you have nothing to compare with, otherwise your enthusiasm would subside.
Svetlenki
Larissa, we are all different. The opinions of all members of the forum are readable and heard. CroNeGalina likes this grater so far and she talks about it. This is also an experience, isn't it?

dopleta
Well, of course! It's just that many, deciding from these rave reviews that she is the best of all, and not knowing that the reviews are not based on comparison, can be mistaken to their detriment.
Svetlenki
Laris, yah! The search on the bread maker has not yet been canceled. And reading the topic ... And everything will become clear.

It just happens sometimes that the manufacturer improves the quality of the product over time ... Rarely, but it happens ...

Quote: dopleta
And it's even good that you have nothing to compare with, otherwise your enthusiasm would subside.
So I'm not going to engage in comparative analysis, I did it even before the purchase. I carefully weighed all the pros and cons of different courses, the tns-ki had the best balance of advantages and disadvantages for my conditions.
Now I describe my impressions of practical application, and the "delight" that my expectations (certain expectations for a particular device) were justified and did not have to be disappointed.
And no, I'm lying, I didn't like squeezing lemons with the help of a fruit holder, I prefer the old-fashioned way with handles and a knife.
Quote: dopleta
Are you on purpose? First, I wrote about cubes:
No, not on purpose, it's just that there is no such number in the cubes, there are 3 or 6 mm, so I thought it was about slices.

Quote: CroNa

A 6 mm cube is cut when the dial is set to 4. Both slices and cubes are cut (if cut) at the same digits.

And, for sure, I did not even look at these numbers, I just rotate until the arrow clicks.
Quote: dopleta

Is it? 4 makes cubes or straws, not slices.
Quote: dopleta
And not only me. Here's another opinion from many:
So yes, but it was worth putting the whole quote for objectivity for the sake of:
Quote: Cirre
From hard, I tried carrots, you can chop, but you need to make an effort. Since I can only compare with the Giant, I like this one more, functionally it is more interesting.
The last phrase, if I understood correctly, refers to the TNS-3000.
I also appreciate it for its versatility.
By the way, compared to other devices, the vaunted (and deservedly vaunted!) Burner is also far from a panacea:
Quote: Cifra
Plain mandolin. It is either needed or not. Cubes are more convenient on it (for me) than on a burner.
Quote: kВipoint
In general, before, to cut the potatoes into cubes for frying, I used a berner, now an alligator is more convenient for me because of boxing and probably much less effort and the speed is faster, I use a berner for rings and other horizontal slicing and for carrots, that is, I use a fine grater.
Quote: Marfusha5
With an alligator, I cut Olivier salads and the like, cut onions into cubes for frying, carrots into pilaf cubes, potatoes for frying in cubes, cubed potatoes into soup, potatoes into french fries with cubes.
With Berner, I chop cabbage, cut cucumbers into cubes and rounds, tomatoes, peppers into salad, round potatoes into stewed potatoes, sometimes potatoes into rhombuses for a child's soup) it looks more fun with diamonds))) Well, so what comes to hand. I use an alligator for cubes, a burner for rounds, mainly for cabbage. I like them very much. Each in its own way.
Quote: Lyubanich
On Berner, only the smallest and largest are used. Average is completely idle. What to do
Quote: my_milis
I immediately took 12 knives to him and was very pleased. Still, it is possible to chop finely and coarsely. Vegetables in stews, fruits, potatoes. Very versatile sizes. Especially if there is a burner. I also chose an assistant for him.
There is no perfection in this world, or, as it was said in one legendary film, - each has its own shortcomings.
dopleta
Let's stop already, Galya, because I just can't understand what you want to prove. That TNS is more functional than the Giant? I do not argue, although it will not cut simultaneously in four thin layers, which means that the Giant is more productive. That Berner isn't perfect for someone? This is also a well-known fact, although for many it is controversial. I'm only talking about the fact that TNS is stupid in comparison with all other high-quality vegetable cutters. And that's a fact.
Ilmirushka
Oh, girls, now I have become 3 times more happy! Thanks to the miracles of Nadya-Jouravl (I will not mention this funny story), I now have Mandolin too, soooo she fit well into the company of my Berner and the Giant! And what a beautiful, clever woman she is! I will not brag about grated onions-carrots, everyone has seen them here, and Mandolina herself will not boast of NIMAG. Here, look:

IRR, thanks, you help a second time. (now plus thanks).
I felt, and I really liked it. I'm afraid Berner graters, they have triangular knives, you will cut yourself anyway. And here is a knife without squiggles, straight, and in front of it from underneath there protrude iron triangles, of two types, that is, wider and narrower, right in front of the knife, which allows you to cut into strips.
I have Dekok uka-1201, but in this one there are iron hooks right in front of the knife, and in mine it is much higher, and my knife is low, and in this one it is in the middle. I would have seen it before, I would have taken this one. In general, I really like my Decok !!!!
