Larissa, my post is about this. I'm trying not in the forehead

Somehow I didn't think that Larisa was making excuses. Just explains what's what.
Maybe I picked the wrong word. This is my feeling, not Larissa's actions. This discussion has been dragging on for too long. There are too many arguments for obvious things.

Svetlenki, I also always have at hand in a cabinet under the countertop two of my favorites (there are, but outsiders are also removed away) Berner - sooo old Classic (advantages: strength, since it is much stronger than modern ones, and insert 1.6 mm) and Prima (benefits: finest slices and cubes). I'm not even talking about unsurpassed sharpness - there are people who consider it a disadvantage. And the giant is also close.

TNS has shortcomings that need to be soberly accepted and, probably, you shouldn't praise and overpraise it, especially if you changed it from a regular grater and dull knives are respected
I do not idealize it, I write how it is good for me.
There are drawbacks, of course, the ideal probably exists only in dreams.
As for the "better at times", I'll tell you the story of one of my purchases.
I recently took care of the purchase of an electric meat grinder, and since salads from fresh vegetables are on our table every day, I decided to take it with a vegetable cutter. The model I needed at that time was only in Eldorado, but in my city, and although I knew that I could not contact them, I had no choice, I ordered from them. I got it, shoved this huge box home and first of all tried the vegetable cutter - oh, it's just wonderful, fast, efficient, the drum graters are very sharp, it crushes everything literally in seconds. One thing is bad - all this economy takes up a lot of space and keeping it on your desktop every day is simply unrealistic! This should be stored in the far corner and obtained only during the harvesting season, that is, it is not at all suitable for my tasks.
Fortunately for me, the engine almost immediately refused to work (only the reverse remained) and I safely returned all this music to Eldorad.
Immediately I ordered the same meat grinder and electric and vegetable cutter of another model (Moulinex fresh express +) separately from another place. This little girl looks almost like a toy, occupies a small corner next to the brown coffee grinder, the performance is only 200 W, the drums are also not sharpened as well as the previous one and works slower (but quieter, by the way), but despite all these shortcomings, I She is completely satisfied and now I log in almost every day.
And if the ts-ka lets me down with cubes, then I will also buy a cube cutter attachment for Moulinex.

This is my beauty now:

Yes, in this regard, I envy the owner of graters like yours ... Rocco bends, of course, although he rubs gorgeous ...

Go for the compactness of the prima to look for the sake of cubes or something ...

Crown, Galina, you see, how many people, so many opinions ... I, for example, firmly believe that dull graters spoil the taste of vegetables - they bruise them, squeeze out juice ... Well, in general, I have big troubles about this .. And in this regard, there is a very negative attitude towards moulinex.

Girls who have all three graters on the farm (burner, status, tnc), please, think about whether fruit holders from burner and status are similar to tns-ke (especially small ones interested, with springs), or at least write down the exact dimensions of these holders.
I asked in the "status" topic, but there is silence.
And which one is more convenient to use - from Burner or status?

And my life became much easier with the advent of the Mulinex vegetable cutter, now there are no problems with chopping nuts, I constantly add them to salads, muffins and cookies.
I got a little sick here, and I don't have the energy to cook at all, so I just threw three tablespoons of roasted peanuts into the grater, pressed the button and a minute later received half a glass of small crumbs, filled this business with a large spoon of honey, and it turned out to be an excellent light lunch. For dinner, the same way, practically without making any effort, finely grate carrots on a salad.
I will try to give her, poor thing, as little bruises as possible, but just in case I will make a lotion of olive oil.

kirch
I will also speak about the graters, which I have innumerable of all kinds. By the way, I don’t use TNS, because I don’t cut a carrot, but I cut off half a finger along with a nail with a slicer. Most often, for a small amount, I use Jobs's, which folds. It is sharp and easy to store.
Nonsense
Girls, but tell me, pliz, if you rub a sharp grater with your hand in a Kevlar glove (sorry, for repetition) (God forbid, microplanning!), What will happen to her, with the glove? Will the threads stretch? I, thank God, did not have this, I am very afraid of graters. I don't want to put experiments on. Maybe who went through this?

Girls, I beg your pardon, if that

I will not say anything about comparing vegetable cutters among many models, I have not seen many models in action. But kuma Moulinex (some kind of long bought, but at one time cool, sophisticated model), so a vegetable cutter and a cube cutter, it seems, gives a good result. All preservation on it. Zelmer has his own experience. For all the advantages, the vegetable cutter is definitely not better than the Mulinex. Of the big, unambiguously minuses: 1) grills for a meat grinder made of rusting metal; 2) and a cube-maker, a sharp result to call the tongue does not turn; 3) terrible attachment for tomatoes and berries: swing. 5 'twist - 15' wash.

grinder grates made of rusting metal;
Does it rust or darken? I called the Zelmer website, asked why the gratings darken, they explained to me that the metal contains aluminum, which darkens from water. If you wipe dry immediately after use, it should not darken.
I have not chopped meat on mine yet, only I passed the dough on spaghetti and the wet dough did not darken the grate.
And like other meat grinders, their grills do not darken, do not rust, can the iron case be washed in a dishwasher?

No, there is a fabric, although knitted, but very strong and dense.

Crown, Galina,

I bought Zelmer 4-5 years ago. I don't know how they are with metal now.I didn't make pasta. After the meat, my grill darkens and rusts: in the most natural way. Almost like the tame Soviet. That is why I wipe and dry thoroughly after each use. After the first time I saw rust, I decided to warm it up for prevention. So some kind of grease began to drain from the grate. Therefore, the other two grates were no longer warmed up. Meat grinders of other firms, alloy there or not, are not even close. I have an ancient and unkillable Brown - plows without complaints, only there are no attachments for it. And the smallest simple Moulinex (I specially bought it for a nozzle for tomatoes and berries). In these meat grinders, you don't even need to wipe the insides. I bought Philips for my parents. There is also no "rust". No complaints, only the smallest grille is not included in the kit.
* I also discovered that plastic attachments for cookies and macaroons from Soviet manual meat grinders are suitable for Brown.
And Zelmer was upset. With not a low price and external bells and whistles to make such an insides - without words
Melet is good, the sausage attachment is normal, I really like the citrus attachment, graters - well, nothing. The main load remained on the old man Berner. I haven't tried the miller yet (a childish reason, but I'm afraid not to shake the balance of sensations into a final minus. I was very upset by the grates, nozzles for tomatoes and cubes). In the message above, I added more about the nozzle for tomatoes - the horror is terrible.

Well, I already have a late metazza, I took Zelmer because of the mill and because of the auger bushing, if it flies on coarse meat with bones, it will be easy to replace. I got used to rusting iron with a manual meat grinder, I will take care of it as well. But Zelmer's mill is cool!

I have a mulinex meat grinder with multi-colored graters. Rubs very well raw vegetables, cubes and cubes are excellent.
The meat grinder itself is rather weak. For the sake of one salad, it's too lazy to get it, but during the harvesting period, it's a super thing.

svetta, I have one, I ordered it on Ali. In principle, it works fine, but you get tired of chopping in large quantities, if only for soup. Shreds slightly thicker than the Giant. I'll look for the link now. These shredders are:

Svetta
Svetlana62, thanks for the tip. I shred cabbage with a large quantity with another device, it was just this little thing that became interesting. Didn't you try to cut something else with it?
I don't have a Giant, so there is nothing to compare the thickness of the shredder with.
Svetlana62
svetta, it is only suitable for cabbage, and then only for a small amount, because in its sharpness it is comparable to a regular vegetable peeler, not branded. The cut gives a thin one, but efforts must be made. But the width for cabbage is sufficient.

nila
optimist,
Lenusya, I also do not like shredding cabbage with a Giant V-shaped nozzle. And in general, it is this nozzle that is not in demand in my Soviet Union. It is easier for me to chop cabbage on a Berner Prima, Carly or on the Giant's 4 serrated blades. I cut all other vegetables into slices on a Berner, and onions, fresh cucumbers are perfectly chopped on a V-shaped insert from Nisser. The set itself was scrapped for a long time, and it was this insert on the shore like the apple of my eye.

I do not like shredding cabbage with a Giant V-shaped nozzle.
Nelya, why are you writing about the V-shaped nozzle and cabbage? It's small for cabbage. I only shred cabbage with a nozzle of 4 double knives. And the onion adapted itself to her - I love it when the onion is small, and with this attachment the onion is so thin that it is not visible afterwards.
nila
Ilmira, of course, this small nozzle for a head of cabbage. But there are also small shakes, or quarters, as Larisa writes. Slicing cabbage by the Giant was discussed a lot, even earlier, when the girls just started buying this grater. Different opinions were written then.
But for me personally, this insert did not work at all. And I'm afraid to cut the onion for her, it's not convenient for me to use a fork. And with pens ... I suffered a couple of times and I no longer risk it. I am completely satisfied with the bow with rings and half rings on a neiser.

Ilmirushka, nilaGod, girls, they scared me. I really thought I was cutting cabbage wrong, because not with an insert, but with 4 blades. I don't even remember if I have this insert or not. Girls, I was puzzled by the purchase of Kevlar gloves, can you please tell me if they should have a metal thread inside or is it just tight knitwear? On Ali, every second product promises a thread, and in the reviews they write that there is no metal thread there and was not there.

Nathalte, I have ground only pepper with peas so far, ground quite finely and even allspice, and it has a very thick shell. I like it. I haven't tried cereals yet, because I have a lot of flour, and Admin (Tatiana) ground cereals into flour, turn up Zelmer's Temka, read her review.
According to the instructions, you can process various cereals, coffee, nuts, flaxseed and even poppy seeds (soaked), you can not only whole dried peas and corn, sugar for powder.
