and in compact I will immediately set the thickness of the shredder to 1 or 2 mm and + crosscut 12 mm and in one motion I will get the desired result.

If you can do it with cabbage, Crown, Gal, sign off, please. Or have you already had a positive experience of such work with cabbage? Then this is a really worthwhile unit.

Frankly, I have a pro berner, and I only get it for large volumes - carrots, fry potatoes, tons of onions or some other vegetable ... I have a Japanese berinier for salads.
Jackdaw-Crow
Clear. And Berner is enough for me, the thickness of the slicing is not very important to me, there are larger, smaller ones, and okay.

No, it's still in theory, I haven't bought a grater yet.

And again, in theory, but it seems to me that tns-coy can adapt to cutting into cubes even boiled vegetables, in its holder the pins are thinner and less than in Berner's, that is, the vegetable should not break.

Crown, Gal, it's like vegetables are cooked. I don't know how to catch this line between al dente and a soft cooked vegetable. But I doubt TNS's ability to do what you say. Alligator is our everything in this case
Ekaterina2
And now I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo all now, but I quickly grated cabbage for a salad on the Berner, and grated carrots there for 1.6 insert (change the insert - 30 seconds). And since I did all this in a gray Kevlar glove, it was all super fast and convenient. Class!
Crown

in the same place for 1.6 insert (change the insert - 30 seconds) grated carrots.
And what is the thickness (or width (1.6 *?)), Is it a trend or a classic?
dopleta
Crown, I have a trend, a classic, a prima, a giant, and tns. And I want to say that much that is easily planed on a Berner is cut with effort on tns. I already wrote about it somewhere. I give preference to Berner with a significant margin.
Crown
Owners of tns-ok, help to clarify one more question: on the official website it is indicated that this grater has slices in strips / cubes that are multiples of three - 3, 6 and 12 mm, while the "White Cat" sells like the same, but with 2 slices, 5 and 10 mm.
Please measure the gaps between the switch knives on your TNS-3000 graters.

You have something to compare with, but I will have a transition from an ordinary tetrahedron to a good German knife Solingen.
And so I would not be left without fingers, for joy.
Ekaterina2
Crown, I have a trend .. Red-haired handsome!

The Kevlar glove is our everything!
kirch
It was on TNS that I cut the floor of my finger together with the nail. But in it only the slicer is sharp, and the pieces are poorly cut
Ekaterina2
Fearing to leave her fingers on the grater, she asked her husband to order gloves on Ali. With all due respect to the fruit holder - the glove is much more comfortable. And the vegetable holds firmly and habitually, and there is no residue left.
kirch
I, too, now with gloves. I never learned to work with the fruit-holder.

Absolutely! I can calmly press the pad of my finger to the knives! Berner would have pierced him long ago with the same effort.
Fifanya
Crown, Gal, today as a specialist at TNS she grated carrots, beets, potatoes. It is better not to rub without a kevlar glove, and not so much because it is very sharp, but because the fruit holder, well, not at all thought out in my opinion.

I realized when I buy a grater, then I will think about the gloves.

I finally bought myself a TNS-3000 grater in the "White Cat" on Presnya. They sell native German ones, it's just that the website contains the wrong info about the distance between the knives. I tried it on with a ruler, made sure everything was in order and took it.
First of all, I cut the onion into rings, half rings, strips and cubes - it fits perfectly for onions, do not chop so thinly and finely with your hands! Now onions can be easily and very quickly crumbled for frying, for pilaf, for minced meat, for salads, rings for barbecue. And the celery went great, it's too coarse for a simple grater, but this one took it on time (finally, I'll start eating celery). I also tried to grate fresh turnips and carrots with small strips 1 mm thick and 3 mm wide, it turned out about the same as on the smallest side of a regular grater, the salad turned out to be very tender and juicy.
While I am very happy, it remains to buy and test cabbage, it was cabbage and onion that strained me, the rest is already like that, to boot.

Girls! Not quite a suitable topic, but maybe someone will have time to answer me in a personal message until the moderator deletes it ?! Please teach me how to fry cabbage. Well, I can't do it fried. Only stew, I would even say fermented. Delicious, but not what I want.
Stafa
Elena, I didn’t get fried before the tortilla. But now it is fried, then burned every other time.
Masha Ivanova
Stafa, Sveta! True, I haven't tried it in Tortilla yet. But I read about your experiments. I will definitely try, it may work too. All the time I think, when I try to fry on the stove, that the voltage in the network is not right.
Crown
Sorry for the off-topic.

Fry cabbage in the same way as onions in pilaf - first over the highest heat and in well-heated oil in a large thick frying pan. At first, stir rarely, because until the juice evaporates, the vegetables do not burn, then fry over medium heat.
And the very young first green cabbage is fermented into dust, it is better to torment it for salads.

THS is excellent, just gorgeous chopping cabbage - thin straws, thick straws, small vermicelli, but whatever!
Fifanya
Crown, Gal, I won't argue, it's just more convenient for me to use the Giant for cabbage, and not cabbage for TNSke

Ely-paly, again you are with your giant !!! Tooooooka I calmed down, SHO all bought up and calmed down and oooooo you tease

Dear gigantic owners, I am not your grater, I am calming Svetlana.

Crown, Galya! I just wrote that I sin on the voltage in the network. It seems that the frying pan is thick-walled, and the fire is maximum, and the oil is heated, but still it does not work. The bow, by the way, is also not very good.

the price for them is quite loyal, 550 rubles. Now I want such for myself ... if not for their awesome expensive delivery from Krasnoyarsk

Fifanya, Anh, did you order one Teskomovsky knife? How much did it cost to ship and ship three raviol pallets?
Rituslya
I don’t tease the Giant, because I have completely forgotten about him. Do not use. It is more familiar and convenient for my hand with a cleaver and a knife, and not very often I generally process cabbage.
This cabbage is a trash vegetable, that is, there is always a lot of garbage from it.

Gingi
Girls, can you tell me what size the cubes are on the insert for cutting straws and small cubes? I sit and think if I need to, or I’ll do it.
Elfa
Galina, and what kind of grater are you asking?
Gingi
Elfa, thought about the Giant

Girls, can anyone know why TNS graters in the White Cat store and in Chistokot (in which the White Cat is also represented) are sold with a difference of 1 thousand?
Vredin @
Girls, I forgot to brag, I nevertheless bought a Tescoma PRESIDENT X-sharp grater for slicing
Vegetable graters and shredders, kevlar gloves
And since at that moment there was a promotion, plus bonuses, it came out quite inexpensively, took the second grater for two directions Tescoma PRESIDENT X-sharp
Vegetable graters and shredders, kevlar gloves
What I want to say, the first has a wonderful straw. The grater is sharp, it washes well, I'm happy. But the second one completely disappointed me. Best suited for cheese and boiled vegetables. Unfortunately, she completely refuses to rub raw vegetables and fruits.

Vredin @, Anna! Tell me please! Is it convenient to grate Korean carrots on a Teskomovsky grater?
Literally a couple of days ago, I pulled out a grater for barks that had been thrown there a long time ago from the far corner of the box. carrots from the Giant. And I was convinced once again that for me it is very uncomfortable. On it, you can thinly rub pieces of carrots of a very small length, the metal handle of the grater, which is above the plane of the grater itself, interferes with swinging normally. So I put it back in the same far corner and continue to rub with delight on the plastic cheap that Helen recommended. I see only one drawback in it - it is plastic and can break over time. But she has not yet found an alternative. So what can you say about Teskomovskaya in this regard?
Vredin @
Masha IvanovaElena, to be honest, I have not yet tried to grate carrots in length on this grater. I took it specifically for straws, which I use in everyday dishes, everything is fine here. And you need to try Korean in the evening, just buy long carrots, now only small ones are available. But I think that the effect will be similar to yours. And I would not say that the handle protrudes strongly, it is just uncomfortable to hold on to it, trying to stretch the carrots in length, and there is really not enough space to accelerate. So far, I have not found an alternative to such a board for Korean carrots either. I change it as the knife dulls.

So I looked at this grater, and the same question appeared. Something our members of the forum keep quiet ...
Once upon a time (many years ago) I bought myself such a grater, but it seemed to me very large, and it was inconvenient to turn the handle (it was difficult to turn). I passed it. And now I sit and think: maybe I should? I wish someone would take a picture of her next to something familiar. I somehow do not really know the size. For example, the Status grater hangs in a conspicuous place. She is small. How about this?
Fifanya
Nonsense, Natasha, Look, she's hanging on my railing next to the Giant, little green
Vegetable graters and shredders, kevlar gloves
And next to a kevlar glove
Nonsense
Fifanya, Anya, thank you very much! Now I understood.
How do you like her? Like? Does it switch normally?
Fifanya
Nonsense, Natasha, she is already a year old, switches normally, even gently, for me. In the city I have a kitchen of 5 sq. m, so you won't run away. Both Gigant and TNSka live there. For a small kitchen, this is salvation. But in terms of sharpness, Berner is still better for me, but he needs a place for additional attachments too.
And for the period of salting cabbage, the Giant moves out of town, it is more convenient for them than Berner. I already wrote that in a rectangular basin sitting easier Giant for cabbage than cabbage according to Berner standing up

Anya, why are you bothering Berner? I bought this box for him, in which a couple more nozzles are placed, and I fixed all this beauty on the wall, well, as I fixed it ... I hung it, always in the access zone, but it does not interfere either on the table or in the table.
Fifanya
IlmirushkaIlmirushka, I have only one wall in that kitchen, and as you can see there are no more places. (On the left is a window, then a table with Kenwood, on the right is a sink, along the stove, a coffee machine and a refrigerator and fffssseee). But at least dance outside the city, so Berner feels wonderful there
