Gypsy Will you knead dough for dumplings with a plastic knife?
Rina
So far, I have been kneading shortbread dough with ordinary (metal) knives without problems. Really, maybe I'm not kneading very tough dough? What does "tight" mean? My shortbread is usually quite soft, plastic, such that it must be cooled to roll it out.
But for dumplings, I suspect that very few compact harvesters are capable of kneading the dough "inside and out". I even knead the dough in a bread maker a little steeper than on bread, and then knead it with my hands.

Rina72, GalinkaMalinka, I read and gasp, is it really all about 5530? And to me he seemed so impressive! And I, too, walk around and around 5530-5529 models, only the same glorified lack of space stops me. I also have Bosch, only 4655, only this one I can hide in a locker, but that one, in general ... that's why I don't buy ... and cubes beckon so ...

Girls, I have a Mulya (power 900) in less than a minute kneads dumplings dough, quite tight about 1 kg at a time with a PLASTIC knife.
Once I made a biscuit for them - I planted it for me, although they write that this knife should be used for biscuit and cake.
I didn't try the capital's cupcake for them, I was afraid that she would plant it too (I have already experimented a lot with this cupcake, so I no longer risk it).

Rina, did you beat the cake well with a plastic knife? Did you beat them all up, as in the recipe, in order? And how in time, how many seconds / minutes are each ingredient? The topic is not about cupcakes, but you really need to know.
Rina
I did not stand at the combine with the clock. I looked at the consistency. The only thing, I mixed it with flour very quickly.

Nobody accidentally uses bullet express?
Such a problem:
She began to knead the dough for baking them, and a strong smoke went off. I didn't even have time to use it
We changed the harvester to a new one. I began to knead the same dough new, so again almost the same situation: the smell of smoke and somewhere in a minute, no more, the thermostat from overheating worked and the combine turned off. I had to wait until it cools down to turn it on again.
I tried to make a dough for a pie, so he barely began to knead it at all. I was afraid that it would burn out again and turn it off. I had to knead the dough by hand.
Tell me how your harvesters cope with the dough? How long in time are they able to knead it without interruption? And then I don't even know what to do: change it to another model or not change it !?

Tata +, do you have a motor in the cover or in the case? I have a Bosch MSM 5530, a motor in the case, it kneads as much as necessary, and I tried to knead it with a Boshevsky grinder, where the motor is on top, in the lid, it doesn't pull ... that's why I bought a stationary harvester for the dough

I choose between these models

Kenwood FP 270
Bosch MCM 4200
Braun CombiMax K 700
Bosch MCM 5529

I'm leaning more towards the latter two, tell me which one is better or offer something better in this price range.

Thank you!

Nightprince, for example, I have a Bosch MCM 5529. I am satisfied with it for all 100. The only thing is that the lid that closes when the blender is removed began to move away. But I just solved this problem) put the blender stationary and that's it. The problem disappeared by itself. In general, you can read about this harvester in the next Temko

https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=22259.0

There all the pros and cons are described ... and in general, everything is all to mine already about this combine and where to buy, and about additional. nozzles. In general, if you're interested - read it.

The Bosch MCM 4200 will probably be more compact. After all, the bowl and the blender are put in the same place ... but I haven't seen it live ...
Then look at the nozzles. which ones you need more. Although - nozzles are fixable. buy if you can. But I personally didn't want to bother with that. So far, enough of those that I have. (The main thing, I really wanted a cube cutter)

I don’t know about the Kenwood FP 270. I probably would not have chosen this. Although I generally wanted a combine of this company. but for some reason this particular model did not appeal to me (but I didn’t understand much. So, with one eye I looked at the package and appearance. It’s in the picture)

Braun CombiMax K 700, immediately looked at appearance - not very much for me somehow ... but firstly, the taste and color, as they say ... and secondly - appearance is not the main indicator)

Personally, I always re-read a bunch of reviews about the technique on different sites first.
Good luck with your choice!)

I have a Braun CombiMax K 700. If something happens to it (thank you for 8 years of daily exploitation nothing), then I will buy the same .... only the design has changed a little, but this is not the point.
And if you want more functions, then Kenwood, there you can buy in addition. But this is a separate topic, go there, read.

And you write what you need a harvester for and what is the minimum set of functions to have. Then it will be easier to advise

I deliberately searched without a blender (I have a separate submersible, we don't make any cocktails), citrus juicers, a regular juicer and a meat grinder (everything is available separately). If I had a problem with a place in the kitchen, I would not refuse the meat grinder attachment. Then, of course, it would be convenient to immediately make minced meat and mix it in the same place. But in principle, and so I get along pretty well, as a result, wash dishes in the same way, either from separate appliances or from one combine.

What should have been: shredders and graters (the main thing is to shred cabbage to ferment. We eat it in huge quantities. And grate potatoes on potato pancakes. The rest - if necessary, much less often. the most common fine grater), a rather large bowl for the dough (but not huge. The ability to knead the dough from at least 1 kg of flour) - preferably metal, a whisk for beating.

Well, the price is not exorbitant. Although I might have bought it at a higher price, I have never dealt with combines before. How practical they are, how convenient it is to use graters and shredders - I had no idea. Therefore, I settled on the Bosch MUM 4xxx series. At first I looked at cheaper options, with plastic bowls. But I looked at them in the store - I didn't really like them. I will not say that they are flimsy, but I need something more substantiated. I called the service center, because I decided to buy a separate stainless steel bowl - its cost turned out to be equal to half the cost of the combine
As a result, I chose from MUM 46 and 47 series.Based on what I was looking for last year since May in order to be in time for the harvesting season, but there was almost nothing on sale (either they promised that they would bring it in, then I bought it - it turned out to be incomplete, there was a long history with a return). Ultimately bought Bosch MUM 47A1. I'm very happy! Nothing extra. If you need any of the attachments additionally, I will buy it. Compact, takes up little space. I keep it in my kitchen cabinet. And of those that you indicated - probably all models should be stored on the kitchen table. This option would not suit me personally.

The only moment - I learned about the dicing attachment literally a few days after buying my combine. First it caught fire - I want it! Now I don't even know ...

Thank you very much for the huge answer, and so, for me, well, and a gift in the future of my wife)) the main functions of the combine should be:
chopper;
shredder (well b regulated);
cutting potatoes into fries and shingles;
blender (then for the child);
juicer (for small quantities);
a meat grinder is the case (you can later buy a separate one);
well, compactness as there is not much space!

Your Bosch MUM 47A1 has nothing in principle, but if you look closely, there is practically nothing in the kit, everything needs to be bought separately, and all the necessary attachments will cost another $ 200. e.)))
If you look closely at the "K 700", then it is very rich in a set of nozzles, only as far as I understand there is a rather weak juicer and only chicken meat will grind)))

So tell me delshe? )))
ikko4ka
Nightprince, I have a Brown combiner. I used it for several years, but after buying a blender it just costs. I do everything on a blender and a chopper.
Meat grinder - only pulp without veins
shredder - you need to cut into small pieces (I use a board - shredder for cabbage and for cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants)
Blender - don't like it (rather weak)
The only thing I use is for grating carrots or radishes in large quantities. (One carrot and chop with a blender)
For juices, it is better to buy a juicer separately.
It's my personal opinion .
Nightprince
I see that the K700 is already a really outdated model, then I look at the models
Philips HR 7768
Moulinex FP 655

what good say about them?
OlenaS
I apologize, I disappeared for a long time: they "caught" a virus on the computer, while saving information, while restoring, reinstalling ....

Perhaps you have already decided on the model of the combine, but I will nevertheless comment on the points to which you indicated:
- in general, I think that the more versatile the device is, the worse it performs individual operations. Of course, the approach is more than average, but personally for me it justifies itself not only in the choice of kitchen / household appliances. Therefore, for more or less frequently used functions, you still end up having to purchase something more reliable, powerful, etc.
I will willingly believe that there are quite good, maybe even professional harvesters in which all implemented functions work flawlessly. But I think that they are very expensive (for me personally).
Therefore, the more expensive versions of combines are in the form of "pick it yourself what you need". It turns out more expensive than "all-in-one", but more effective (this is purely from personal experience)

- juicers: did not collide. But given that even among the individual devices there are very few of them that squeeze out the juice efficiently, I strongly doubt that it should be in the combine.

- chopper + blender - it is better to buy a submersible blender (it is convenient for the kids to puree food. Although it turned out to be nothing for our child - so he never agreed to eat this, True, he did not even agree to eat purees from jars) He also has a whisk in the kit (whip the same cocktails, cream, mayonnaise .....) - a small glass and a whisk get dirty. And if necessary, grind yourself (caviar, sauce, adjika, who does not like pieces ...).
It's also good when a chopper container is included. It is convenient to grind small amounts of meat or fish for mince in it (the container itself and the knife get dirty - everything is washed in the PMM), I also grind sugar with yolks / eggs for dough, I grind large quantities of onions.
And the blender that goes to the combine - what else can you mix on it besides cocktails?

- the shredder usually comes in two sizes, on one disc. I have 1 and 3 mm. I have enough.
And if there is any special need to adjust the levels of the shredder, then I think it is better to buy a Berner grater. On our website you can read a lot of interesting things about her. The same is for French fries - many planes quickly on a grater

- for potato pancakes / potato pancakes - that fine grater that goes in the set to the combine is absolutely enough. Honestly, I can't imagine what kind of grater is there, which is separately recommended to buy. I am quite satisfied with the most common one, the pancake eaters are delighted with the final result

-I have a juicer in my combine. I recently discovered it for myself. It makes juice no worse than a regular juicer, but the mesh is much easier to wash, so if there is such a function, why not.
- I absolutely disagree, because in my blender I do everything that can be done in it: cocktails are, as expected, as well as pies, squash caviar (and others like it), cookies, nuts, chocolate, etc. grind into flour, raspberries-strawberries, etc. with sugar, mayonnaise, onion-garlic ... in general, not a day without a blender

completely confused ...

I want a harvester that will knead, whip, cut in all sorts of options, grind, rub, squeeze juice from everything, make mashed potatoes, roll out dough and grind coffee.

Is there such a miracle?

I looked closely at the Bosch 5540 and thought to buy a cube attachment for it, I did not find it live in stores, but I saw 5525.the consultant said that the juice would be bad, they say there is no outlet for cake and recommended Phillips 7775, which has a wonderful juicer and dough mixer, but there is also no coffee grinder, no rolling dough ...
Recommend, pliz, I want to get a gift for the day of jam, but I can't choose :(

katryna88, I suggested Brown because he comes with a bunch of shredding discs and no juicer
And so you can look at any processors, usually they are only equipped with shredders, of this type:

It's just nice when the kit includes different beaters, dough hooks, etc., you don't need to buy another unit.
You can buy Bosch and buy the necessary discs

You also need to know why you shredders, if for seasonal preservation, then perhaps you need to choose such a shredder so that the vegetables do not fly into the processor's cup, but to fly

Girls, I’m for advice Recently, my daughter sat down on orange juice and I decided that the natural one is better.Therefore, the question arose which is better: buy a prefix for the existing MUM 4 ... or still a separate device Who has a prefix on the farm, please respond Separate A Bosch citrus juicer is available to her daughter-in-law, she often uses it and is quite satisfied (even more than she bought a new-fashioned expensive metal press). In Ukraine, I have not seen ice cream makers for the Bosch. In this case, it is better to take a separate ice cream maker.
And a citrus juicer in combines is no worse than a separate unit, even better if the combine itself is of high quality.

Girls, and you can tell about Kenwood 266 in more detail who has been using it for a long time. How is he doing? Reliable thing? I'm deciding on the purchase and can't choose which one to take Bosch or Kenwood. In Kenwood, there are 266 possibilities, it seems, there is a juicer and you can wipe vegetables and fruits. I really like this function - then just throw away the bones with the skin and that's it. But does it all work without problems? There is an opinion that the more bells and whistles in the unit, the less clearly it copes with its functions. Share your experience, please.

Hello girls! Advise which harvester to buy. The most important thing is to be powerful, knead the dough on bread (sourdough), preferably a metal bowl. Now I'm kneading the dough with a mixer, but I feel that I will soon ditch it. There is a meat grinder, a blender too.

And what exactly are the complaints?
I have the same harvester, but in a different configuration - Bosch MUM 47A1, that is, without a meat grinder, juicer and blender. There are no complaints, I am completely satisfied: kneads / whips / rubs / shreds without problems.

marishka
For kneading dough, I would buy the same MUM, but 8 series. BUT: it comes in a complete set without a shredder, but with a blender - I needed it the other way around And all the other attachments for it need to be bought additionally.
Have you seen the Kenwoods? It also seems like the best thing for kneading dough ...
k.alena
I have a MUM 47 series (within the series they differ only in the package bundle) for 1.5 years. I have no complaints about it. But I would not say that this is the most popular unit for me. I kneaded the dough for Easter - great, no questions asked. In winter, I make all kinds of sweet baked goods more often, so it will be more involved, it beats eggs perfectly. In the summer I bought a citrus juicer for him, too, everything is ok. For smaller volumes, I also have a mixer and a blender, and everyone has their own work. I only used a vegetable cutter in it, right after purchase. With large volumes, not shredded, but with small ones, Berner spills. In principle, I am satisfied, as I said above, each unit has its own task, what the combine was bought for it performs perfectly.
Oh, I have A1 too, OlenaS

Girls. I want to deposit my 5 kopecks. I have already had Kenwood for 3 years, but not the Chief, but FP930, I really like it. I haven't used all the attachments in 3 years, kneads the dough well, but the juicer that comes with it is weak, I won't use it again after a single use, the pulp turns out to be such that you twist it at least once again. coffee grinder, blender and all sorts of grinders - just great! Although the bowl is made of plastic, it is large, 3-liter. Glass, if in the version, is more expensive, settled on plastic.
And a year ago I bought a Zelmerovskaya meat grinder, so this is also a combine! There is even a juicer for tomatoes and citrus fruits. however, it does not withstand our Ukrainian quantity of tomatoes per season. Although it was bought for this purpose. As a result, I successfully and with admiration use the meat grinder itself, which grinds EVERYTHING, and not just some elite meat. I love all sorts of devices, and so far I don’t regret about my own, maybe because I try to use them carefully and carefully too. Soviet devices are also available, and they serve no worse, but the dmzine, of course, is still the same. Unfortunately, we didn't care about the ergonomics of our technology.
