Do you press the program selection button? She works?
Rina
puma, in "Features of HP Panasonic" in the first paragraph it is written

The stove is ready for operation if there are only zeros on the screen or the screen is empty (the stove must be plugged in!). The "Start / Stop" button starts the exposed program, and does not turn on the bread maker!

Algorithm setting the program like this:
with blank screen (or zeros)
successively press the buttons from left to right, choosing the appropriate function: "program" selects the type of bread, mode - bread with additives, only kneading dough or fast mode (for the main one), "size" and "crust" correspond to their names.
And only after selecting all the necessary parameters, press "Start / Stop".

nut ... that's just the point that no.
Rina, yes, I saw right away, I will try to "fix" it on my own.
nut
Try this - press the Program button and immediately the start button - the start button will blink, after a couple of seconds press the start button again and do not release for a couple of seconds - the screen should go out, that is, it will become empty. The stove has completely reset the program. I have now repeated your mistake and everything is fine with me. Write it turned out or not

an oddity arose. Until the day before yesterday, when plugged into the outlet on the main program, the roll size indicator was always on average (L), and for the last two days, for some reason, on XL ...
who knows: what is it? and what is fraught with?
Rina
is fraught with nothing. By default, on the HP there is a "main" program, size XL, medium crust.

calmed thank you ...
I didn't bake for a week, I probably forgot
Mommy
Hello! Tell me please, I have a Panasonic 257 ... We tried to bake bread and chose French in the program, but the stove stubbornly set it - dough / In every possible way, but it still, when choosing this program, continued to expose the dough. In the end, they left everything as it is, and after 2 hours and 20 minutes she beeped, there was one dough ..... and that's it .... Please tell me, what are we doing wrong? Bread with the usual program - The main one has already been baked - everything turns out. Here, French baked goods were also displayed ...
Qween
Mommy , have you pressed the "Mode" button until the arrow is on the baked goods or did the process look differently?
Rina
Mommy, judging by the fact that it was set at 2:20, you put the dough on the main program. So, go ahead and read CAREFULLY https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=94759.0
Mommy
I beg your pardon - it was exhibited for 3 hours with something ... I just tried it again ... Arrow in French .... Mode-persistently exposes the Dough .... The time was set at 6 hours but at the same time the Dough-Dough stubbornly burns. .... The same is with the program - Rye .... stubbornly does not expose baking - but only Dough
Mommy
I have now read everything carefully, everything is clear there, and, in principle, we baked all week in Basic mode, there were no problems on the timer either .... And when you put Franz. in the corner does not burn Dough?
Mommy
so I also wanted to clarify ... When the French program is selected, then further in the Mode, the button gives me only 2 choices - this is 3 hours with something, or whether 6 hours ... At the same time, everything also stubbornly stands -Test in the corner .... No matter how much I press the Mode button, it doesn't give me any more choices, just like other buttons in the Franz program do not. change crust or size
Qween
Mommy , if you press the "Mode" button, then the arrow should go to both "Baking" and "Dough". And the size of the loaf and the color of the crust does not change, this is not provided in French.
Mommy
Maybe we have a marriage?
kryssandra
I have a 256 week. In her, I think, everything is the same. I realized that the buttons need to be set sequentially. From left to right. Try it strictly in this order.

Rina
Mommy, press the first button until you select "French" (6:00 will be displayed and a blushing loaf with the inscription "bake" in the left corner). After that at once press "start".

As soon as you press "start", you will have only the time and the inscription "bake" on the screen

6:00 - bread (dough + pastries)
3:30 - dough.

: hi: Hello everyone!
I would like to ask the owners of Panasonic 257 ...... someone cooked in this bread maker jam orange or some other ??? If you cooked ... share your experience, please!
Antonovka
lenucha,
I'm embarrassed to ask, how can cooking jam at 257 differ from cooking at 255?

the simplest experience - we lay, as indicated: sugar and berries, we turn on and that's it - the HP cooks, stirring a little
it turns out (for our taste) tastier than on the stove. I did at the same time: one portion on the stove, another in HP. In HP it turned out thicker and richer.
I cooked pumpkin jam with orange.
Rina
I cooked cherry - it turns out delicious, but ... such jam is not suitable for storage (it gets spoiled), rather, cook it from the freezer to the table for "eat here and now."

probably nothing, but this the topic is dedicated to the model x / n Panasonic 257 ... that's why I'm asking the owners this x / stove

: nea: how many pumpkin and orange did you take? as in the instructions 450g.? i.e. 225 pumpkins and 225 oranges? did you add pectin?
Antonovka
lenucha,
I'm sorry if I offended, really
lenucha
I'm not offended!
I just don’t know who I would ask how to make jam, the first time is always scary. and on the forum, it happens, you write a question, and in response to you ... that you wrote on the wrong topic ...
Rina
In fact, in my opinion and the opinion of many members of the forum, it is not worth making jam, at least to abuse this function, in a bread maker. Sugar syrup gives a sufficiently high temperature, its residues can jam the mixer shaft. I have a point in the instructions for the German HP that it is not advised to use one bucket with a stirrer for both baking and jam / preserves.
lenucha
wow .... news!
Rina
(grumpy) Don't faint. We turn on the thinking apparatus ...
1. there is not a single vessel with a non-stick coating that would be positioned as a container for cooking jam or jam.
2. the stove is not intended for the mass workpieces that we are used to. Its technology, as I wrote above, is designed for cooking one small portion of jam for a meal here and now. That is, we take frozen fruits, exotic or even seasonal, cook some jam so that the family can indulge in pancakes, pie or tea with freshly made jam.
lenucha
thanks for the caution. so sometimes you can pamper yourself with fresh jam !?
I still cooked oranges jam today ...: nyam: according to the instructions for c / n (though there is not a recipe for orange jam), it turned out delicious, but watery ... I took 430.0 oranges + 20.0 cheese, 450, 0 sugar. sand, 20ml freshly squeezed lemon juice and turned on the "jam" mode (y) so great! and no need to stand at the stove and stir tediously .... well, just ... CLASS!
Antonovka
And I also really like Orange with ginger and strawberry from frozen berries. And this despite the fact that I, in principle, do not like jam

but how to cook strawberry from frozen berries?
Antonovka
I bought a bag of frozen strawberries, poured it into the HP, half of the weight of the sugar strawberries, sprinkled a teaspoon of corn starch without a slide on top (so that it was thicker, and I feel good without it) and that's it - the "jam" mode. Aroma - indescribable Yes, more - lemon juice, then I add, then no - I can't say that I am doing the right thing, just like in the case of starch

pumpkins all 400-430 gr, and one orange (medium size) cut.
I'm sorry, I can't immediately figure out what pectin is exactly I didn't add

and put strawberries in cotton without defrosting?
Antonovka
I do not defrost - she herself quietly defrosts there and the jam turns out - berry to berry

it will probably be very liquid ....? do you thicken it with gelatin or something else?
Antonovka
I don't really like thick jam, but to calm my soul I put a spoonful of starch ... I just always have a place for the remaining syrup - in tea, in yogurt ...

Good day! I'm a beginner so don't kick right away. Yesterday I bought HP 257. It is written in the manual. that it is designed for baking bread from 600 grams to 1250 grams. And what happens if I bake, for example, 200 grams of bread? Will the bread burn out or the stove will deteriorate? Just to begin with, so as not to translate products in large volumes during training, I would like to practice "little blood".
Rina
labarant, and from what amount of flour are you going to bake 200 g of bread?

1. Whether the dough will be kneaded is a question. The bun will most likely be overdried (after all, the same amount of energy will be spent as is required for a minimum of 600 g).
2. The bucket will not be good (it is not for nothing that there is a ban on heating empty dishes with a non-stick coating).

Don't fool yourself, start with the smallest quantities the stove can handle STATE - plain wheat bread with 400 g flour on the main program (no french or quick!) This is not a huge training cost.

Take a look at the first page of the topic, there are links to the topics and master classes you need to learn.

Congratulations on your C / P purchase!
I am not special yet either ... but it seems to me that for the first bread you shouldn't spare 2 measuring cups of flour with a small top and then you will succeed, because our stove is UMNICHKA "and does everything for 5+
Rina
Yes, do not confuse the mass of bread and the mass of flour from which the bread is baked.
labarant
Thanks for the first answers on the forum)))) In general, I realized that less than 600g of bread is categorically not to bake because it is fraught with both bread and HP?
labarant
And one more question I need to launch the first bread. I bought 2 types of yeast: SAF moment! active fast-acting! and IVF (Ukraine) are simply "active", their composition is absolutely the same. So the manual says yeast B (for quick cooking) 2 spoons, or R (for regular baking) 1 spoon, how do I know what kind of yeast I have? Or does it mean that if I want to bake 2 spoons quickly, and if I want to bake slowly 1 spoon? Or did I not understand something at all?
lenucha
I use SAF MOMENT yeast fast-acting, for the main bread recipe 1h. l.just use the measuring spoon that was sold with the cotton
Antonovka
labarant,
means that if I want to quickly bake 2 spoons, and if I want to bake slowly 1 spoon
Right - fast and normal mode
Rina
I don't associate with dry yeast, so I won't consult.

Here are the related topics:
Yeast - types, use, bookmark, selection

I know that from the dry they praise "Lvovskie". I use pressed ones myself.

Yes, just in case, read the topic about Features of work of Panasonic bread makers

Don't start mastering HP with quick bread! It has a different quality!

For the time that I am on the forum - for the first time I meet such a question.
if you bake the first bread on the "basic" mode - you can take the recipe from the instruction book - then there are usually no problems.
It is eaten with a bang!
It's very tasty.
The hardest part is letting it cool down
When testing, my friends ate THREE breads of the maximum size for three days on the first day !!!!!!
And only one of the minimum size is eaten into the lung.
I was the first to bake egg bread - no problem.
The most important
1) weigh everything on the scales
2) sift flour
3) do not forget that Panasonic first has an alignment mode
The display will show the word "REST" - the stove will equalize the temperature of the ingredients.
a huge number of users of this at first were scared and thought that the stove should immediately begin to knead.
In general, we read the instructions thoughtfully and carefully.
It's not big and very specific.
there is everything that is necessary for life !!!!
If such instructions would go to multicooker
And with SAF yeast the moment is in red packs.
Although when they are not there I take them in yellow ones (for rich pastries) and it is also very wonderful !!!!!
labarant
Thank you very much Zvezda askony... And today at 1 am I already became an active baker - I made the first main wheat bread, everything turned out fine, only the roof cracked strongly along the edge, but it was even more beautiful. Naturally, according to the book, of course I measured everything up to milligrams))) I did not sift the flour (and it seemed like nothing happened)))) And the strangeness of the question is relevant to me: it is customary in our family since childhood to have fresh bread every day, maximum 2 days, on the third day goes on crackers. And now I live on my own and the resulting bread from 400g of flour will be enough for me for a week (well, I don't eat bread all day long). I would have half of it just for 2-3 days. Now I think how to bake it 2 times less. And another question about the bread maker: how can you bypass the process of "leveling the temperatures", it takes an hour, because you can add warm water and when stirring everything will become the required temperature ????
Qween
labarant , I will advise you to cut fresh bread into pieces and freeze. Then take it out, defrost it in the microwave, or steam it, or just on the table. The bread will be as soon as cooked.

Temperature equalization cannot be bypassed if it is present in the program. You can only start the work of the HP, and in the meantime, collect all the ingredients for the bread in a bucket while the temperature is equalizing.
labarant
Excuse me, but having a miracle maker and eating bread from a freezer and a microwave is blasphemy as for me))) I bought it for this, so that I always have fresh bread))) It's like having your own farm and eating boiled sausage from the store)))))) But thanks anyway for the support of newbies !!!
