Hello! Recently I purchased HP panasonic sd-257, used it three times. Sednya decided to knead the dough first, and then wanted to put it on baking. Forgive me, I'm still a kettle in this business, so I don’t know ...)))) In short, the problem is that by setting the dough function (2 hours 20 minutes) to the baking function I can’t translate, not a single button works at all. What's the matter, is it already broken or something ??? Help, pliz !!!

Girls, I'm prostrated, I was yesterday at the radio market, I wanted to buy a bread maker for the office canteen, and on all bread makers I saw that the sticker on this model with buttons peels off! Water was spilled on one stove on the panel, so the sticker came off completely! The seller tried to use bork for this case. Is the game really bad? Has anyone come across?

very good stove
we chose it in many ways. By the way, someone was comparing it with a trash can, they offended us, on the contrary, this gray color pleased us, because it fit into our kitchen better than pure white.
but in general, I would say this - this model is for those who do not want to be very wise, but want the always expected result
all my loaves were wonderful. even the first pancake was not lumpy, although the first program was "fast basic", and I put the yeast as for the usual (B, which)
with rye bread, I had to curse a little, then the spatula remained in the bread, then a torpedo (the form is this: on the one hand higher, on the other lower) it turned out. This was helped by advice from the forum about "kolobok control".
in a word, I can't help but praise the stove

Tell me, do 257 Panasonica have plastic or silumin kneading blades?

Definitely not plastic. Silumin? And who knows, it is not visible under the Teflon, but it does not break.

Good afternoon ... We bought such a stove, used it five times, everything is fine, except for one thing - it’s impossible by the end of baking it smells like hot plastic ... The last bread even absorbed this smell into the crust, a couple of times I bit off this taste of burnt plastic in my mouth: o. Yesterday they tried to take them to the store, change them, there are no more such models there yet, they ran out, in general, it looks like we will have a big problem, bought for eight thousand. I'm very afraid that the next one will smell the same and I'm sad, that, it turns out, they bought carcinogens for a lot of money ...
Poul
Strange! I don't smell at all! Apparently the Chinese are cheating! There are sometimes reviews about odorous stoves. Bad luck! Hand over to the store ...
Although some write that the smell disappears very soon ...
Rina
astra_l, what a horror. Maybe you have the same story as mine? My stove smelled long enough. But only when baking, and there was no smell in the bread. And I felt this plastic smell when baking for a month, probably, if not more. But ... I have a very sensitive sense of smell to some smells. Men didn’t smell plastic in me, but I smelled everything ...

Most often, the smell disappears after several uses of the oven, usually in a week or two, that is, a dozen pastries. You only have five. Maybe it makes sense to make at least a few more baked goods? It would be a pity, of course, to throw out the bread if it picks up the smell again.

we also smelled the first two times ... mb, more, now I don't remember.
BUT there was no smell in the bread.
our oven is a little more than a month and a half (from 01/13/11), it does not smell at all (except for the baking itself)

Hello everybody! Today I looked closely at the Panasonic SD-257, but I noticed that the bucket in the case is not fixed in any way, it is simply inserted vertically and rotated clockwise, it does not sit tightly on the shaft and dangles back and forth by hand. There is a suspicion that during kneading, the form will dangle and create an appropriate rumble, since it seems that kneading is done both clockwise and counterclockwise. Please consult!

Because of this, I tend to Bork VT500, there the form is really attached and does not hang out

I became the owner of this stove only about a couple of weeks ago, but I use it almost every day. When I unpacked it at home, I also began to study meticulously and I did not like 4 (!) Moments at once: the scapula dangles freely (and the instructions say it should sit tightly), the bucket is not fixed in any way, the HP lid itself has, although small, but still, the backlash to the right and left and the gray film on the control panel, when pressed, somehow all springs after the first use, I forgot everything safely I remembered only after reading your question. The oven works quietly (I can’t compare with other models, since I didn’t see them in practice), but I hear the work during kneading only when I’m in the kitchen (and if the TV is turned off there))) The spatula remained in the bread only once, and then it was rye bread. Well, and the control panel, no questions or complaints. Hope I could help.
PS. And she looked at Bork too, she is beautiful
Pacan4ik
Sherly thanks for the detailed answer!

Pacan4ik I was happy to help
Rina
Pacan4ikAs a user of two HP I can say, I like the free fit at the Panasonic bucket more! That is, it is almost impossible to put it incorrectly. And when the bucket is full, there is no roar. The change in the direction of mixing is not abrupt, so the bucket quietly turns to itself by these very few degrees. And, for example, in a yunold you need to put a bucket and turn it clockwise so that the grooves grab. But they are poorly designed, so it takes a lot of force to put the bucket. And if it is installed incorrectly, this bucket flies off the grooves and the drive simply starts to beat on the mixer mechanism.

You can ignore the stirrer wobbling. It has never happened that something happened to this mixer. I suspect that free play is also justified (if a tight dough is kneaded, the engine needs at least a couple of millimeters of "acceleration" when changing direction).

Does the sticker bounce? Well, it’s springy ... I’ve been springing for the third year already. But no gaps around the buttons and inscriptions are erased.

The direction of rotation does not change! One way spit ...
natushka
Hello everyone! I was a little surprised - does the direction of the batch change in Panasonic? And mine is constantly rotating clockwise.
Rina
I will not say one hundred percent. But it seemed to me that when kneading a tough dough (when the blade locks), the direction may change. I'll follow up next times ...

There was no reason to watch closely
sazalexter
Rina72 Swinging of the blade is a "feature", the shank of the drive has a tricky shape, when the blade is in the extreme right or left position relative to the shank it is very difficult to remove it, a kind of lock is formed This is done to make the blade less stuck in the bread
Rina
oh, how interesting. sazalexter

Good evening everyone!

Friends, I bought 257 model, on Wednesday I decided to try and pamper my men with fresh French bread

After 6 hours of waiting - I got SUCH HORROR !!!
I do not know if it is possible to upload photos here ...
This is a hard, stocky crust 5-6 cm high. The shoulder blade is firmly mixed into the dough!
I understand, the first pancake is lumpy, but not to the same extent !!!
Now in half an hour I'll take out the next copy ....: red: I'm even afraid to guess - WHAT is there !!! Smells sour ... bye.
I sinned for the first time on yeast and flour, changed both today, took baking flour, dry yeast quickly ... I included everything according to the instructions, according to the program.

What am I doing wrong ?! Help with advice, I don't want to think that the stove is defective ...
I will unsubscribe later on the second result.
Rina
LightSmile777, as I understand it, you immediately began to cook French bread, and even didn't look at the dough?

Judging by your description, an elementary violation of the ratio of ingredients.

Mastering the oven must begin with the simplest bread on the main program. Read this to yourself first UNDERSTANDING BREAD IN HOMEMADE BREAD with the study Rules for the formation of a dough piece, but simply Kolobok.

It is imperative to look into the bread maker at the kneading stage and adjust the consistency of the dough.
LightSmile777
Well - for once the bread turned out entot!
And it looked like bread and even rose! Only salt, which is prescribed by the recipe, is not enough for our family, but this is already in vuks color, as they say ...

The crumb can be unbaked chuuutoku, I expected a more "rubber" effect
And I didn’t want to give up a shovel of bread !!!
Tell me, pliz, but how to get the loaf correctly? I was already shaking the mold and knocking ... I had to neatly walk around the perimeter with a knife. But you can damage the coating like that? Or am I just a bastard?

It reads like this: lying was the first reason for my failure the first time. It was not my fault!
And who uses what kind of flour to bake white bread?
Well what are you! The instructions say: do not open the lid from beginning to end!
I fell asleep, as in the recipe (I measured it on an electronic scale) and set the program and it (the stove) gave me this first result.
Rina
Congratulations ...
As for who and what kind of flour - it depends on where you live.

As for the scapula - do not try to take out the bread immediately, as soon as it is baked, let it sit for a while in a bucket. The crust will sweat a little, give the scapula itself. And the crust will then dry itself upon final cooling.

Judging by the impermeability - the same balance of water / flour. Most likely excess fluid. Still, read the Manual about Kolobok. Do not carry knowledge behind your back, but the properties of flour are different in different places (for me, for 500 g of flour, depending on the manufacturer, the season and for a bunch of other reasons, it can take from 270 to 340 ml of liquid, and this seriously affects the quality of the crumb).

The instructions are not always correct. I sometimes keep the lid open throughout the batch. Nothing terrible will happen, but you will control the bun. You cannot open HP during baking. For the main program, this is the last hour of work.

Thanks to everyone who answered! We changed the model to 256 (there was no 257x, and once in 257 I tried to bake rye bread on the usual mode, it turned out great). Not yet included, but I hope everything will be ok.
Alicia
Good evening!
I dug up I do not remember where the recipe (maybe on this site) of whole grain bread. I tried to bake, I have not had such a result in two months of experiments! The dough began to fall apart after the second kneading, I added water, then adjusted with flour. I put the Pizza program on, the dough did not rise. Then I turned on the quick bake program. As a result, the bread turned out to be heavy, dense and with an almost black crust.
Here is the recipe:
dry yeast 2.5 h / l
warm water 220g
orange juice 2 tbsp / l
bran 8 tbsp / l
milk powder 6 tbsp / l
vegetable oil 4 tbsp / l
salt 1.4 h / l
What could be the reason for my failure, tell me!
Rina
eeeeeeeeeeeeee ... and how much flour? And with this question it is better in our topic ambulance for baking bread
Alicia
Oh, sorry!
Whole grain flour 400g
Whole Grain or Diet mode, size L.
Rina
As for me, adding bran to whole grain, and even in such an amount, is a clear overkill. And the whole grain itself does not "combine" the dough well, and then there is bran ... and so much milk is unknown why ...
Alicia
Thank you, Rina, now it's clear that the recipe is "burned" ...
Rina
In general, look, there are many proven recipes on the forum. Here is a whole section on whole grain bread
Alicia
Thank you, I will definitely look!

Hello! I am now also with a bread maker! Today my husband gave me jam for the day. So I decided to make white bread for tomorrow for breakfast for children. I put it on a timer. I am very worried whether it will work out or not. How will they taste my bread in the morning, I will definitely unsubscribe!

Finally, the dietary regime has been tried
I put "Karelian" on it (it's a shame not to remember where its subject is)
5 hours + 1 hour stand in a bread maker
Has risen almost to the top. I was very surprised. I was trying to splash some apple cider vinegar.
But I decided that it will be and will be !!!
I put a lot of raisins and walnuts.
It turned out very tasty and magnificent !!!!
despite the raisins!
Tested for today
"main" -5+
rye - I tried only ready-made mixtures - with them in two modes, somehow not very
baking-cakes-5 +
fast-5 +
Overall very satisfied !!!!!!
We do not eat purchased bread.
Only yours!
True 750 g for two is a lot.

I also have a lot of bread for my family now (I and two small ones, and I eat sooooo little bread). One thing pleases me in this situation - homemade bread is stored better, and crackers from it are tastier

tried the cake from the recipe book. the question is ripe.
Why does the manufacturer recommend doing it on the "diet" mode?
can you try on "basic" to choose a light crust?
Rina
Then choose size M and a light crust. Panasonic has a "disease" - bakes sweet yeast baked goods.

why "m"?
on a dietary "L" recommends

A smaller loaf requires less heat to cook. Both the size and crust determine how much the bread will be heated.

In general, look in the section on Easter, Easter cakes... There is a lot of information and answers from people who have repeatedly baked just sweet butter bread.

Hurrah! Everything worked out! In the morning we got up with the smell of fresh bread. Everyone liked the bread: both adults and children. They have already eaten everything. Tell someone. I want to bake a cake according to the recipe from this site, but it says that first you pour liquid products, then flour, and then yeast into flour into a hole. But after all, in the instructions for Panasonic it is said that first you pour yeast, then flour, and then liquid. How to be? Get Easter cake?
Rina
Bookmark "according to Panasonic", ie yeast down, flour on top and the rest. By the way, you can dilute salt and sugar in liquid.
oskaleska
Thanks for your prompt reply. It means that it is not so important what to lay for what. It turns out that you can take any recipe and lay it as it is suitable for x \ n? Can you first melt butter? And do not tell me, today I have milk bread, it just became very tasty on quick baking, but the top broke. Why?
Rina
To be honest, I am against "quick" bread. Even on conventional programs, the dough is clearly too time-consuming.

If you put butter on a regular program or even a delay, you do not need to melt it - during the "temperature equalization" it will itself get room temperature and will perfectly interfere with the dough.

Good afternoon everyone. I ask for help. We bought a bread maker recently, but didn't really figure it out. I successfully baked bread 3 times, tried to knead the dough ... here the joint is already on my side, I didn't press the stop button in time, now the stove, when turned on, shows 0:00 and does not allow choosing a program, only bakes the main bread. The question is ... what to do? carry it to the guarantee or you can somehow fix the problem yourself.
Thanks for the answers, if I'm in the wrong place, help me find the relevant topic.
puma7
Thank you so much!

Read what is written in the instructions
Bread Maker Panasonic SD-257

I read it, but I just did not understand from the instructions what my next steps are. I downloaded the products again and still the program is only the main one.
