choy?

Man, there is a lot of practical advice and only 3 pages. I answered about the scale, not about rice. I take any rice for pilaf, in China, there, you know, they eat everything, even sparrows, so that their pots are adapted to all kinds of rice. The main thing is to observe the technology and proportions

oh-oh-oh, and I cook a current from a long-grain

I spent a long time convincing our fruit sellers that there are different varieties of oranges, as well as apples (we are looking at what kind of apples we buy?). In the same way, there are varieties of rice, they have different properties, taste, purpose. It's just that we are often not guided in this.

For starters - round rice is more sticky, it is better to use it for all kinds of rice porridge, puddings. It will not be crumbly, it even has a different taste.

On Heating, the time is not set. Only to detect yourself (you can use a pocket timer or an alarm clock).

Are there owners of a Panasonic multicooker, bought in Thailand? I would like to clarify the names of the modes (buttons in English) and their correlation with Russian programs. I have white rice, quick cook, brown rice, sushi rice, porridge (oatmeal, sir), cake (baked goods), slow cook, double boiler. If this has already been discussed - post the link, plz.
Irino4ka
For myself, I found a way to get rid of odors in a slow cooker. I myself do not cook often, mostly porridge and carcass. But sometimes you need to make porridge and bake fish and pie in one day. after fish the smell is especially unpleasant. I pour water into a bowl and put on a double boiler for 10 minutes. It removes odor well both from the valve and from the rubber gasket. And then, during storage, I do not close the lid tightly, I keep it slightly ajar (I put the power cord)

Although I have mastered my MV, there are still questions about it. I wanted to consult ...
What do you think, is it possible to cook soup in Panasonic on the automatic MILK Porridge program? In some CFs, SOUP / MILK Porridge programs are combined.
I wanted to cook it "blindly". Leave home, and he is ready. Somehow I can't try. I cook soups on the stove, only borscht in MV.
Elena Bo
In Panasonic, the soup is wonderfully stewed.
Elenka
Yes, that's what I cook. But somehow milk porridge doesn't work for me. I wanted to consult ...
Elena Bo
On Milk porridge the time is 1 hour and the temperature is 98 degrees. I don't think it's a good idea to make soup there.
Elenka
Elena? Thank you! What do you think, not uv. is there time for MILK porridge with an increase in the weight of the product as for buckwheat or plov?
Elena Bo
Practice has shown that the time at Molochka doesn't change.
Elenka
Thank you!
On occasion, I will try to cook chicken soup for experimental purposes, so to speak. I think there will be enough time. Pre-bring to a boil.

Hello everyone! I got hooked on the site of bakers for a long time and found here Temko and about a slow cooker: flowers: I want to write my own experiments on working with a cartoon I bought it / cartoon / somewhere half a year ago and first of all I decided to cook milk porridge, opening the lid after cooking was a shock ( it says little), one frustration, a burnt mess, but I didn't give up, cooked it again, the recipes were from the instructions, I added more milk, it turned out much better. Then she continued the experiment, milk porridge on a delay, in the morning sour mash: cray: I did it on a delay on all types of milk \ both fresh and cold, only ultra-pasteurized did not use \ anyway the sour mass: girl_cray1: so I get dirty now, if I make porridge on a delay, then pour boiling milk then normally. I don’t understand how others do it, I just don’t believe it, and with an apple it immediately sours, well, I’m so crooked. I made baked fish with vegetables on baked goods, in the oven I just have a fairy tale, horror in the cartoon again !!! Soups are generally a separate topic, the peas in the soup generally remained oak, although I soaked them overnight, cabbage soup is also not a fountain, it is better on the stove. True, stuffed cabbage rolls and peppers are excellent, and what turns out is I cook porridge in a milk cooker, soups on the stove, and peppers with cabbage rolls are not often at all, so my saucepan stands quietly, sad for myself, and I look at it and think, that's how people are just fine, but I have only problems. Delayed porridge is always cooked in ultra-pasteurized milk.
It's not clear how you got the burnt mess? I will not believe that you did all this in Panasonic. Admit that for a slow cooker, then it is easier to get advice on cooking.

PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you cook
I have a slow cooker for a year, and the cheapest one can be in the world (about $ 40). I bought it with one purpose to cook RICE (last year I ate it every day). Once on this site, I realized that my cartoon is multifunctional !!! It is used every day and that's what it is for
Example 1 Cooking rice, potatoes, buckwheat, etc. is just one or two. This is how you cook potatoes on the stove. They turned on, wait, boiled, reduced the heat, checked the readiness, and the cartoon - put the potatoes, poured water, closed the lid, porridge / soup mode and at the signal - ready.
Example 2 Bake cakes. There are several proven recipes. Beat the dough, poured it into a cartoon and baked a cartoon with four or five cakes in one fell swoop. (My friend bought the cartoon just to bake a honey cake). Less body movement compared to baking in the oven.
Example 3 Several dishes exist, such that taste like "wow" (well for me) Lazy cabbage rolls, vegetables with lentils, casserole (I just tasted this recipe in the oven, well ... not that), blackberry pie .... yes A lot of those

Pi. si. milk porridge is not up-to-date

The first time I hear that in the cartoon the porridge burned out. My daughters love Panasonic porridge very much. We often cook all sorts with and without milk. Never even burnt. What kind of cartoon do you have?
Slastena
I have a multicooker girls Panasonic SR-TMH18, my porridge turned out to be a straight casserole, I may not put it right, not very burned, well, very baked, with a slight smell already, I started to burn a little
in general, not edible, I somehow steamed vegetables, time also added a little to me three times: girl_red: People will write carrots for a couple of 25 minutes, I have to cook all 45 minutes, maybe my carrots are big, so huge vegetables do not fit in a cartoon, maybe the cut is cooked for 25 minutes I don't know
Elenka
Slastena, write the model of your multicooker. You will be consulted.
They cooked a pier. prescription porridge for CF. They are not always competently composed. Practice has shown that the best porridge is obtained in the proportion of 1 multi-glass of cereal + 1 liter of milk (milk with water).
I cook milk in regular milk, fresh from the bag, but well chilled. In the summer, I put milk in the freezer for 1-2 hours and then cook porridge with this milk on the timer. About the pea soup. It depends on the peas - no luck. I also came across such peas that were not cooked either on the stove or in the MV, no matter how much you boil them.
I made fish according to recipes from the site - it turns out great.

Maybe a little liquid and a lot of cereals ... And when I put milk porridge, I first pour a thin layer of water on the bottom of the saucepan ... And if you pour milk into a dry saucepan right away, then you get a tanned film at the bottom of the porridge. ...
Slastena
Now it’s already interesting, so we need to add some water, well, let's try, but the recipe for porridge was from the instructions, I accurately measured everything, just like

Hello!
I have a question! My cartoon refuses to work with the lid open. I turn on the "Baking" mode, pour oil ... I wait for it to warm up. I open it, and it turns off the mode for me and blinks with buttons.
When I first cooked pilaf, everything worked! Fried carrots, onions.
And now I have already tried to open it twice and in no way! ((
I tried to keep the lid closed a little longer before opening it - it didn't help! ((
Help!
Gin
the multicooker should not turn off when the lid is opened, the buttons should also not flash. I guess it's better to contact the service center ..
saslik
Hello!
Tell me please. I have a Panasonic multicooker (Large).
It does not heat very much in the baking mode - is that how it should be?
Let's say I wanted to make pilaf and warm up the oil a lot. Nothing comes out. I put on the "Baking" mode and wait 10-15 minutes (to warm it up) - I throw in the meat - and at first it doesn't even sizzle, then it barely fries. Like on low heat on the stove ...

I tried it with both open and closed lids ...

Gin
there will be no crunching and splashing of oil - this is not like in a frying pan in a multicooker, this process is not so active. but it is worth checking the voltage in the network - somewhere this issue has already been touched upon repeatedly, if not 220 V, but less, then the multicooker bakes worse - somehow

Everything is correct. Frying meat like in a pan with high fire will not work. The temperature is not right. It is not for frying, but for baking.

As a rule, porridge is cooked from 1 liter. milk

Actually, my family is big, but on weekdays only my mother cooks porridge for breakfast, so she is worried that she will not be able to cook herself a small portion. I myself want a bigger cartoon, as I wrote above, I really want it, so I plan to buy it, but my mother is worried that she cannot cook for herself in a big one and persuades to take a small one? What to do? Head spin!
Elenka
Lingonberry, buy a large slow cooker, and for mom a milk cooker in addition. This saucepan is just good for a small amount of porridge, you don't need to stand over it, almost like a slow cooker, only without a timer. Take a closer look at her, maybe you should. The porridge does not burn, you can and should cook without interfering. I have never regretted it, I use it every day and recommend it to everyone.

Elenka Thanks for the tip! My mother-in-law has one (though old), today I’ll go on a visit just to beg)))) I still don’t use it)))
Girls, I ran into another problem - it turns out that Panasonic is not being delivered to Russia now. We definitely don't have it in our city, I traveled around everything, searched online stores - the result is zero, but I want to CHERE her! Maybe someone will tell you where you can order, or the girls from Moscow will be sent to the shops where they are definitely there, I think I’m going to hang out. but not wanting to go anywhere, I myself am poorly guided in Moscow, so if someone tells me, I will be very grateful
Omela
Lingonberry , I would advise you this option. Find an online store that has pickup. And the address of the store suits your location (so as not to travel across the whole of Moscow). Make an order there and go specifically to this store. Because just in the store - it will be more expensive. And it is not a fact that they will be available when you arrive. Something like this.

shl. Where are you coming from Tver? I can help you choose an online store.
lisna
I apologize if I ask a question in the wrong topic
The problem is this - I cooked borscht in a slow cooker, when I opened the lid, condensate dripped onto the case and the white plastic now painted an orange spot ... How can I wash it? (regular detergent did not help, cleaning comet too)
Stafa
Tell me please. I noticed on the new multicooker that I set the time to 3 hours, after an hour the time shows 1 hour and then the countdown starts in minutes. That is, the time set for the program decreases faster. While I have two weeks to check - so I want to know if it should be so or not. For the first time I encountered such that the time on the device is counting down faster than real time. The same question - when buying, the bowl stood tightly in its place, but now it seemed to flounder, with a loaded bowl this is not noticeable, and if I do overcooking first, the pan is spinning in the shade. Should this be the case or is the bowl deformed?
Gin
lisna, did you try to rub it with a lemon? I'm guessing (just remembered how he makes his nails white)

Stafa, the timer time must match the real time.

And at the expense of the bowl - it can spin if it is almost unloaded. Look, there is such a round big "button" in the center of the shade (I don’t know what is the name of the weight sensor? - for automatic programs). if the bowl is almost empty, then this "button" can nudge it slightly. this is a rough explanation, hopefully clear
lisna

Thanks for the hint, I'll try. That strangely, such a nuisance happened only with the first borscht preparation, the next borscht with the same ingredients and using the same technology, cooked by the multicooker did not hurt.
dopleta
lisna, you can also try ordinary vegetable oil. It also removes stains well from plastic.
Stafa
Can you please tell me, today I did it in a cartoon - first I overcooked the onion in rings, then I put the pork cut into pieces of about 5 cm to it, fried it and put it on the stewing mode for 40 minutes. At the end of stewing, I poured the meat with sour cream - mushroom sauce and left it on the heating for 20 minutes. The meat is soft, but bad luck, it feels like it smells like fish. It's good that I made 5 pieces per sample. Although the sauce turned out delicious when mixed with the onions and the stewed liquid. Why did the meat smell like fish? From the chtoli pan? I never did a fish in a cartoon.
kleskox35
Stafa, it's not a slow cooker, but the meat itself ... It's just that this pig was apparently fed fish waste or fishmeal was added to the feed. It happens, I know it well, I have come across such pork. But here, unfortunately, as with a boar, until you cook it, the taste does not appear. I can only advise you to marinate the meat before cooking, it is possible in beer, then the smell will not be felt.
abcd
and whose production of your multicooker ??
Stafa
Taiwan tunnels.
abcd
what about your smell ?? there was a smell of plastic, rubber during the first cooking?
Stafa
No, there were no smells. But now I am a bakery master, my husband has not eaten so many delicious biscuits in 12 years of marriage.
pchela
I was also afraid of the smell, I read a lot of different reviews.
I have been using my Panasonic since December, not idle for a day. There have never been any extraneous odors, and there are also no smells from cooked dishes. It is written that it is made in Thailand.

I also like baking, I now have cakes or muffins every weekend. And hot fresh porridge in the morning
aniska
I only bought a Panasonic multicooker a couple of days. And I have apparently the stupidest question ..... I tried to cook soup in stew mode. I put it on for an hour ... But it didn't even boil ... somehow strange. in other modes I do not see any problems yet. but here I am not catching up with something. help pliz)))
shade
Peace be with you bakers!
aniska- - didn't even boil ..
put it on a steam boil
and in the mode - quenching - everything is delicately languishing: smartass: but the soup will definitely cook
aniska
Thank you. I have already tried it on a double boiler, everything is ok. but nevertheless, I somehow do not understand. I did exactly according to the recipe. It is written, put meat, carrots, etc. Set the stewing mode for 1 hour. And like in an hour everything is ready. Why write such a recipe if in an hour everything is raw and not nearly ready. And this is in the official book. Then they would write more precisely: first, in a double boiler mode, for example, 10 minutes, then stewing for two hours. And then of course I doubted, I generally thought that I had a defective slow cooker and was very upset.
