Ingredients

premium wheat flour 275 gram
warm milk 150 ml
melted butter 25 grams
eggs C-O 1 piece
sugar 10 grams
salt 5 grams
baking powder 9 gram

Cooking method

  • Turn on the oven, heat to 180 degrees.
  • Sift flour together with baking powder, add salt, mix.
  • Make a slide, pour the egg into the middle.
  • Then pour in warm milk and melted butter, add sugar and start kneading.
  • Knead the dough until tender and smooth.
  • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured surface into a layer about 1.5 cm thick.
  • Cut out circles (preferably with wavy edges) from the layer with a cutout with a diameter of 5-7 cm.
  • Brush with milk or beaten egg.
  • Put on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-17 minutes. Do not brown!
  • Serve hot buns at the table or grease with butter and chill on a wire rack.

Note

Traditional English scones, spread with fruit jam or whipped cream, are great for breakfast and tea anytime. They eat consoles like this - the bun is cut into 2 parts. Then they take half of the cake, grease it with jam on the edge, and cream on top.
