Cooking method

The pie is delicious, but must be eaten the same day. The next day, it becomes very wet around the pears, just unpleasantly wet. Pears darken. Therefore, I give half the rate of the original recipe, which I baked. The yeast here acts as a leavening agent and does not give the effect of yeast baking. The dough is "heavy" to rise and bake, so the recipe probably uses a baking powder as well. I am not a technologist and I could be wrong, of course. Recommend!
