Blue Plum Jam (Steba DD1)

Category: Vegetable and fruit dishes
Blue Plum Jam (Steba DD1)

Ingredients

Blue plums 3 Kg
Sugar 0.5KG

Cooking method

  • Remove the seeds from the plums and put them in a bowl. We set the "Soup" mode -0.3 for 5 minutes with the valve closed (just to warm up the mass). Then we open the lid, remove it completely and set the "Porridge" mode to -0.7. Cook until boiled two - two and a half times. The mass should gurgle slightly. It usually takes 2-3 hours to achieve the desired consistency.
  • After the end of cooking, add sugar to taste (1 kg. Mass - 0.5 kg of sugar, 1 kg. Mass - 0.3 kg of sugar), boil for 5 minutes, put in jars.

Time for preparing:

3 hours

Cooking program:

Soup, Porridge

Note

Important points:
1. It turns out exactly jam (ie, syrup and pieces of plums), and not jam or confiture, as if cooked with sugar.
2. Put sugar in the last place, otherwise the mass thickens and begins to splash in all directions.
3. When boiling, in fact, any mode is suitable, in which, when the lid is completely removed, there will be a weak boil.
4. Actually, all this can be done not in Steba, and even without a multicooker - in a saucepan on the stove. But in a multicooker, 100% will not burn.

saqwer69, thanks for the recipe!

An interesting recipe! I understood correctly, we cook without a lid on the porridge mode and with a pressure of 0.7 ?!

In fact, any mode is suitable in which, with the cover completely removed, there will be weak boiling.

Got it, thanks. I was interested in how this will affect the health of Stebik, Porridge-07 is cooking under pressure, but the lid is removed completely. Need to try.

The forum is full of recipes when, in programs with pressure, the valve is kept open, or the lid is put in an "angle". I think that if you remove the cover completely, then Steba will not deteriorate either.

and I cooked jam with the lid open on the Roaster. Not so long, though.
