And yesterday I cooked wheat for kutya. I set the "porridge" mode, after the end of the mode the wheat was ready, but I had to boil it hard, so I put it on the "porridge" mode again, everything turned out just fine!
This afternoon I set to make yogurt, set it to 35 degrees, at 5:30, arrived in the evening from the sea, yogurt is ready! I put it in the refrigerator, we'll try it tomorrow!

And what temperature?
Kivi
Natalia, 100-105, which is in the standard. The ribbed potato was something ... but there were 30 minutes before. languishing and then already 30 minutes "meat". I have never eaten this at all

Dear Steba users! I didn’t receive an answer to my question, so I would like to address this issue again. In me, in both the first and second Stebs, when cooking at a pressure of 0.3, the valve is blocked every other time. Today, at this pressure, I cook - the valve immediately blocks. Tomorrow I cook the same thing - the valve is not blocked. Is there some kind of 100% cure for this or not? What is the reason for this behavior by Steba? Alex_Fil! You answered so well the difficult questions for women, maybe you can help me, explain what's what?
Alex_Fil
Elena
The thing is that in Shteb, like in a pressure cooker, there is a mechanical pressure sensor set to a pressure standard for pressure cookers of 0.7b, or 70 kPa overpressure. When you select cooking with a pressure of 0.7b, the heating element will heat the contents of the bowl until steam forms, the float valve rises, pressure builds up and a sensor is triggered, which turns off the heating when the operating parameters are reached.
The sensor is triggered only after the cover is locked.
Another thing is when cooking with a pressure of 0.3b. Here, only the temperature is controlled by a thermal sensor, and it does not matter if the pressure has accumulated, the main thing is that the temperature is about 107 degrees. The float valve may not rise, it all depends on the composition of the food in the bowl.
Masha Ivanova
Alex! Sorry for the dullness, but I did not understand the main thing. How do you cook at a pressure of 0.3 so that the valve closes and cooking starts? Is it possible or not? My valve is not always blocked. The timing starts, and the valve is open, not blocked.

For some reason, the second part of your answer came later, I'll read it now.

Added Sunday 19 Jun 2016 10:06 pm

And then what to do. if the valve is not blocked at a pressure of 0.3, but for cooking it is necessary that it be blocked?
Alex_Fil
Elena, do not expect that at 0.3 the valve will necessarily be blocked. If the cooking time has started counting, it means that the temperature of the sensor has reached the set value, and there is simply not enough water to generate steam and the force that would raise the float. But this will not affect cooking.
Masha Ivanova
Alex, thanks a lot! The last question on this topic. And Ppar will not come out in this case? Or something splashing out?
Alex_Fil
That's just the point, if there is water or broth in the bowl, it will create steam and the valve will still be blocked at 0.3, and if we bake a biscuit, or cook something thick that absorbs water, nothing will spill out of the valve.
Natusichka
If possible, I urgently need to cook potatoes (young) for dinner, what's the best? Without meat, we have herring for potatoes.
gala10
Natusichka, cut the potatoes in half, if very large, salt, put in a bowl. Pour in about 1 cm of water. Vegetables mode 6 min. Pressure 0.7.When the temperature drops to about 97 degrees, forcibly release the pressure.
Natusichka
Galina, wow, I did something like that! I just didn't cut it, but took the whole one. And I put 8 minutes, everything cooked well! Thank you, Galyush !!!!

I'll tell you more about yogurt. A few days ago I made yoghurt using dry Vivo "yoghurt" starter culture, milk 3.5% fat. I cooked in ceramic cups (which are included), poured water "up to the shoulders". Temperature - 35 degrees, 5 hours 30 minutes. I didn't open it for another hour or an hour and a half, because I was not at home. It turned out VERY DELICIOUS yogurt !!! The son, who does not recognize milk, said that it was something !!!!!
And yesterday (I left 1 jar for the starter culture) I decided to make new yogurt from the finished yogurt, while I did not buy milk of 3.5% fat, but it was only 2.5%. Put it overnight, the same temperature and the same time. It turned out the same yogurt in taste and consistency. Very, very tasty!

Even in the morning I put buckwheat porridge, the ratio of cereal: water - 1: 2, added butter and salt, the "porridge" mode, it turned out to be boiled porridge, next time I will put it 1: 1.5. But barley, wheat and oatmeal (whole), I think that 1: 2 will be what you need!

Hello everyone, I am very interested in your opinion.
I noticed that many here have owned or have owned Panasonechka 18, I have it since 2009.
I thought about buying a new (at first) multi, because I can't buy my own cup, but I don’t know the non-original one, well, I’m morally tired of it, I just accidentally poked it at this Temko, or maybe my intuition worked and dropped out of my life by 291 pages
I liked a lot, but there are doubts. Can I ask you to compare these 2 cars, I understand that they are different.
After Panasonic, how much more difficult it is with all these pressure drops, why is it scary?
In theory, the pressure cooker cooks quickly, but until the pressure builds up, and then goes down, is there still a time difference?
Is there any extra fuss?

Compare Panasonic with Shteba? They are, indeed, completely different. And the food tastes different.
I will not give up either the usual multi or Shteba. Each - for its own purposes.
Sedne
I agree with Galina, I love both multicooker and pressure cooker.
Natusya
And I completely abandoned mutivoks. I use pressure cookers, grill, scrambled eggs and princess ...
Masha Ivanova
Girls! And please tell me, what is the difference between the taste of food in an ordinary multicooker and in a multicooker-pressure cooker? And is an ordinary slow cooker even needed if you have a multi-pressure cooker? I have 2 Shteby, I bought a new one for 6 liters simply because I was in love with my DD1, already old. And I never used an ordinary multicooker. I have already asked this question before, but no one has answered so clearly.
Masinen
Masha Ivanova, Lena, this is of course my personal opinion, but an ordinary slow cooker is needed.
I have it like this: Shteba and a multicooker without pressure, an excellent tandem
Masha Ivanova
Masha, Masinen! So I want to understand what exactly is needed, what is the difference with a pressure cooker? If I understand what the difference is, then I will probably wait for a new cartoon from Shteba. I really like this company. Or maybe I just haven't seen anything sweeter than a carrot. By the way, do you know when she will be in Russia?
Natusya
Masha Ivanova, Elena, the shtebochka can work without pressure, the effect of a multicooker is obtained. Why take another pot if there are 2? ..

Masha Ivanova
Natasha! See what different opinions there are! I would like to get to the bottom of the truth, but no one gives an answer. What is the difference between them?
Natusichka
I will also say my opinion. It seems to me that it is not even correct to compare them! Each has its own pluses, they have no minuses at all! But if they just told me to leave only one of them, I would never choose which one!
But if a person can and plans ONLY one, then Shteba is functional, of course!
There is absolutely no need to be afraid of pressure (I am no longer afraid!).By time, even taking into account the set and release of pressure, Shteba cooks faster (for example, broth, porridge, meat, roast, etc.)
I have not tried milk porridge in Shteba yet, but in Panasonic it is very convenient and tasty!

I haven't tried baking, for example, biscuits, in Shteba either, but in Panasonka it's Bomba!
Although, in the Shteba bread is just something !!!!
Here's a comparison!
In Shtebe awesome yoghurts are obtained.
Right now in Shtebe I am preparing beef tongue using the sous-vide technology, I should be ready by evening. And at this time in Panasonka, a stunning biscuit was baked.
Masha Ivanova
Then I will ask differently. What dishes are better in a multicooker than in a multicooker-pressure cooker. And in which slow cooker? Only in the 18th Panasonic or any?
Natusichka
I only have Panasonic 18, and now Shteba Dd2, for the rest I can not say anything!
Kivi
IMHO, those dishes that should be "drier" are better in a slow cooker. Under pressure, everything gives me a lot of juice and baked potatoes, for example, are more "stewed" than "baked". But maybe I haven't tried all the modes yet :)
Natusya
Kivi, it is necessary to add 2 times less water. I even boil eggs in crumpled form
porridge "Friendship" for 12-15 minutes. it turns out great. I made homemade sour cream yesterday. Soups are generally unmatched and quick to prepare. I'm generally silent about sous-vid. Cabbage rolls and stuffing peppers. - 5 minutes. Jellied meat -60 min. (put on the cartoon all night). Oatmeal porridge 3 min.
There is a lot to list.
But I like the stem more than the multi (there were 2, I got rid of one, where I would cook the multi-hooter for 3 years in it and did not know that the scalding is better)

It's actually a matter of taste. As you like.
Pilaf, stewed potatoes with meat in a slow cooker (Brand 37501), all milk porridge and side dishes (Redmond 01), soups, compotes are tastier for me in Shtebe. Sous-vid will not work without Shteba at all. True, I did in Brand too, but it is so, ersatz. Pastries and bread - in Brand. And someone likes Shtebe more.
Kivi
Natusya, I don't add any water or oil at all. But in fact, the potatoes float :)

Thank you very much to everyone who responded. Something cleared up in my head. I want to wait for the new Steba multicooker, try it. If we don't like it, then we will think further. Milk porridge in Shtebe somehow does not quite satisfy me (but this may be my individual perception), but there is nothing to compare with.

And what is this new multicooker from the shteba? Where to read?

It used to be the 1st generation Shteba, DD1, and now there is DD2 / DD2 XL.
Read about them in this thread, right from the first page.

But I do not consider this a plus. After about six months of use, baked goods may begin to stick. In any case, all the ceramic bowls of my multicooker behaved this way.

I think that there will definitely be additional bowls for it, even if not included, but should be separately.

The plus is that, in principle, there are such bowls.
100% will be both steel and teflon. Well, I, taught by tormenting with panasonic bowls, will buy at once a pair of bowls of each type.

Girls, teach me how to fry cutlets in a small barrel correctly? Warm up or put cold? Close the lid? And how long does it take?
gala10
Alla, I turn on the "Fry" mode. I put in ghee (or pour in some sunflower oil). As soon as the oil warms up, that is, without waiting for the signal, I spread the cutlets (frozen). I cover the lid obliquely. I check in 3-4 minutes. If the bottom is reddened, turn it over, cover it obliquely with the lid and turn off the Shteba after 2-3 minutes. And they still reach 10 minutes under the lid.

Girls as I like the shtebochka, more and more, at first I was afraid to cook with a closed valve, but in vain, everything works out great, very quickly, it's just some kind of extravaganza, I can't get enough of it, girls who still have doubts, take it and don't think, I'm myself she scolded that she had doubted for so long whether I needed her or not, a pressure cooker is simply an indispensable thing in the kitchen.
