Omela

Scottish cuisine is an integral part of the English national cuisine. Like the British, Porridge, a thin oatmeal, is a popular national dish among the Scots. It is usually served for breakfast. Porridge preparation methods are very diverse, it is passed down from generation to generation. Puddings are very popular, especially black (blood) and white (made from a mixture of oatmeal, bacon and onions).

On holidays, a special sweet Scottish pudding is prepared: oatmeal is poured into a boiling mixture of honey and water, when the mixture thickens, it is diluted with cream. Tea is also a favorite drink.

However, the Scots eat more different cereals than the British: Sweetened wheat porridge with milk is very often prepared for breakfast and pummeled. From soups used cereal and meat with potatoes, cabbage, fish.

The national dish is lamb or veal tripe cooked with oatmeal and abundantly seasoned with onions and peppers.

A festive dish is considered traditional - chicken or goose stuffed with chopped offal and oat flour.
