Kroshik , yes it is clear that you can do without everything! Conveniently simple and fast. And the nails are safe! And additional graters are also convenient. I like!

Pinagri, this is it:

The basic set of the CLASSIC vegetable cutter consists of 5 items:

* V frames (into which inserts are inserted)
* Safe fruit holder
* Knifeless inserts (for shredding cabbage, slicing rings, layers and slices from any products)
* Insert with knives 3.5 mm (for cutting long or short straws, cubes).
* Inserts with knives 7 mm (for cutting long or short pieces, cubes).

The body of the vegetable cutter is made of impact-resistant plastic. Available in orange or white
The basic set of the Classic vegetable cutter has been popular for over 30 years. Convenient, accessible. Perfect German quality, proven over the years.

Perfect German quality, proven over the years.

I have several different sets, including the Classic, which is over 20 years old. Alive and well!. I bought all possible inserts for it. I consider the insert with 1.6 mm knives very valuable - if I am not mistaken, such inserts only go to the Classics and the Trend (I also have such a knife for it).

Natay

The Classic does not have the ability to get a very, very thin thickness (in the sense of height), there is no height adjustment at all, unlike VIP, Prima, and stainless steel.

But, someone here has already written, it has an undeniable dignity - it has lower sides - so the remnants of vegetables at the end remain much smaller.
And it comes with many different additional inserts.

inserts of different thickness from 1.3mm to 10mm are available for each model!

I did not mean the types of inserts and not the width between the teeth
If for the circle - then the thickness, if for the rest - the height is obtained.
It turns out I needed to write - there is no height adjustment, I'll go fix it ...

julifera , You confused us ...

each insert has two working surfaces:
1 - for circles,
2 - for straws.

Thus, both circles and straws can be obtained with a thickness of 1.3mm to 10mm.

What height are you talking about?

Inserts for VIP, for example - regardless of whether they are for circles or for blocks - have several grooves on the sides - so they regulate the cutting height, depending on which of the grooves to insert into.

That is, on the Classic, the chip version of potatoes will not work, there is no such height.

But here I did not understand - how is it - for 1 insert 2 working surfaces?
That is, in the Classic, you can turn the insert over and it can be used from both sides, thereby making different heights ??

In my VIP - everywhere for 1 insert, 1 working surface:

One insert - makes circles one work surface
Another insert - makes bars of the same width with one work surface
Third insert - makes bars of different widths
etc
And they can all be made of different heights.

This is what attracted VIP specifically - that it was possible to cut the potatoes into chips - thinly. The older models also have height adjustment.
dopleta
Quote: Sens

yes, the insert can be turned over.

Stop, Sens... Here I also did not understand. Are you talking about the Classics? What nozzle? I have a Classic (like, with all the additional attachments), VIP and Trend. Turns over in the Classic only the bladeless insert.

I bought a separate Berner grater for straws. love her. and I love Rocco-grater.
peelers are the first helpers. three different.
Oksyusha
Can someone tell me about the ProVi vegetable cutter? They sell it in the TV shop, it looks very similar to Berner, but there is more metal and nozzles in the basic set .. and there are also small boats and the cost is about the same as the basic set of Prima. I just bought it with a stand and an insert of 10 mm, but now I think maybe I was in a hurry?

In Sevastopol there is a Berner representative store on Nightingales, you can touch different models and decide where it is more profitable to buy
This is how I successfully entered my favorite forum !!!!!!! And then I break my head - where to buy !!!!! Thank you!!!

Hello! Please tell me what's wrong with my teochka. Or am I doing something wrong. I just can't make friends with her! I think I have Vip 4. I didn't rub it a lot, only slices of vegetables and fruits of different thickness. And if I rub, for example, potatoes in circles, then I very often jam (get stuck) some circles in a grater. Pulling them out is pretty scary as the blades are very sharp. I would like it to be like clockwork :) What's the problem ??? I would like to use it more often, I probably bought it a year ago, but it still lies with me idle.

Maybe you need to make movements sharper / stronger with the holder with potatoes in relation to the grater, I hope I explained it clearly
Lena82
Thanks for the advice! Only for some reason it seems to me that this is not the case. Of course I thought about it and tried to apply even more force and sharpness. But still, from one potato at least a couple of slices, but they get stuck, especially at the end: (((Probably you need to communicate with her more often, maybe I'll get used to it! Tell me, does this happen with you at all?
Qween
Lena82 , I also have a VIP 4 - an excellent grater. When I chop on a V-shaped insert, then when I make a downward movement away from myself, I do not tear off what is in the holder, but press it against the grater and make a movement upward toward me. It turns out very quickly, nothing gets stuck and there is no waste.

It happens to me, the last ring sometimes remains.

Yes, yes, I also have the last ring on the potato stuck

I read you, read you, went and bought this grater, though "Classic", I am very pleased with it. Before buying it, I was tormented by the desire to order a similar Top-shop, but I didn't find any reviews about it, and now I don't regret it. Does anyone have a Salad Chief that is being advertised in Top Shop? Who cuts into cubes, worthwhile or not? Frankly speaking, his price is not small.
Pogremushka
I don't trust products from TV shops. In my memory, they are more scolded than praised. And on Berner, you can also plan cubes, you just need to get the hang of it.
Pogremushka
True, there is such an opportunity for the Classic I will not say. I don’t remember how they differ from VIP, I chose 2.5 years ago.
natamaslova
The cat lady, I bought myself a Chief salad, I can safely say that I am very satisfied, she works like a Nyser Diser, only a large volume is more convenient and cuts everything and cabbage and raw and boiled vegetables and cuts everything into a large bowl but it is expensive because the set also comes with a salad dryer and berries after washing slippers that if you need to cook salads often for a large family or often guests, then this is what you need

Today I saw an analogue of Berner in the TV shop, which includes a holder for small vegetables and fruits:Grater Burner (1)
Why, my Berner lacks such a thing, especially in the radish season ...

It can be purchased separately

Yes for Berner. Where graters are sold, they also sell everything separately.

I didn’t find a mini fruit holder on Berner’s website!

skate , Explain which mini-fruit holder are you writing about? or is there a confusion?

Likewise!
Our department has everything, everything, but there is no such mini holder.
Looking at its design on a different grater, I have no idea how it can be implemented on Berner

Girls, do not hit with slippers, I misunderstood, I meant the usual holder

Regarding this very little change cup. I vaguely remember that I rubbed several radishes at once in an ordinary holder. And mushrooms too. You put them on the pins and all the things ... strawberries, really, and other little things have not tried, but won't it work? in the same place the essence is the same - a glass with a piston ... only transparent ... sort of ..
In general, this can be done from an ordinary holder, in my opinion. If the only difference there is that there are no pins - buy and bite them, business-like ... and insert some other seal from a cut plastic bottle ... I'll buy strawberries or radishes at my leisure and have some fun.

I always do that too. Simply, since something new has appeared, then it is NECESSARY!

Girls, someone can say what the shavings from a large iron four-sided grater look like, the holes there are not at all like the Soviet ones. Can you make Korean carrots there?
dopleta
Teapot, sorry, could you somehow reformulate the question so that we can adequately answer? "With a large iron tetrahedral" - Berner?
Chai_nik
Sorry, I don't know how to insert pictures yet, but Berner's website has a metal grater for 748 rubles
🔗
It looks like an old Soviet one, I saw it briefly, but its holes are not like that. I would like to know if it replaces any other individual graters.

Square metal grater; allowing you to rub in four different ways. From finely mashed potatoes to thin flat shavings. For convenient and safe use, a fruit holder is included with the grater.
Full description:
The products of these articles are a classic version of the graters, to which we are all accustomed from childhood. Slicing on them is different from slicing on vegetable cutters or individual graters. The end product after using steel graters is a thin, delicate shavings.
Ideally, Korean carrots won't work.

No, Leska answered correctly, you can't make Korean carrots on it.

Comrades, tell me, how are you doing with tomatoes? Because I’m somehow not very good. And I got hooked on a salad of cabbage (on the blade), a cucumber (on a straw) and a tomato with butter and herbs. And ideally, I would not have a tomato straw either (0.75), but it doesn't work. Even if, it seems, they are not soft, they still crumple. Either the tomatoes are like that, or I just don't know how to strip them. You have to either plan the mugs on the blade (and then finish cutting) or even cut the tomatoes with your hands. Maybe you need to pull harder, or vice versa - smoother?
Alisa_t
Tell me please. I have a grater, the usual B-shaped one with 3 cutting options: shredder, large slices and small ones. Not sure if it's original. But it turned out to be cut into slices. True, I tried only 1 potato ... But there weren't much products, but I wanted to try oh how So the last layer of potatoes did not cut through to the end - is it so for everyone, is there something wrong with the grater or simply did not adapt?
Elena Bo
Everything is correct. The last piece is not completely cut. But this is such nonsense compared to convenience and speed.
Congratulations on your purchase! And don't forget about the holder - take care of your hands.
Alisa_t
Thank you. I can't shell out for the real Berner yet.
I was once given something like that out of ignorance, but that one did not suit at all, but this one is convenient. They look exactly the same, but they are different in use. True, the husband does not believe.
Elena Bo
The real Burner has inscriptions on the plastic and on the blade.
Alisa_t
There are inscriptions, but it cannot be original. The box is suspicious, without a barcode. The main thing is convenient.
krivoshapka
Girls who have a pizza grater? What are you doing on it? I only made potato casserole for now. It turned out great. I also read about a herring under a fur coat ...
Leska
Has anyone already used such a Berner knife 🔗 Impressions and reviews interest

krivoshapka , have you made a fur coat on her yet? It turns out so fluffy. And with this grater, you can make salads from any vegetables and fruits (which can be grated), both boiled and raw.
krivoshapka
Lesko is not yet here ... it's summer now and I want vegetables ... we have a winter salad with a fur coat ... I already realized that a fur coat on her will turn out wah-wah ...
Leska
Or just beets with lightly salted cucumber and cheese or walnuts?

girls, help !!! I want on the weekend, that is, tomorrow I want to buy a grater Vegetable cutter-set model "V-PRIMA", which additions to it at once, in addition to the basin, or stop at the set model "Classic", then what to it? I will be in the company salon, so I can buy everything at once. I want to use it for soups, salads and for something else that I don't know, because I haven't mastered these 84 pages yet, I found out about this grater only 2 days ago, of course I didn't see anything like that, for example, my mother had a husband, though there was such a fake, not of high quality, that after the first cut off the finger it was removed far. generally help.
and I also want to say thank you to everyone for such a necessary forum, I learned more in 2 months than in my whole life about all sorts of usefulness and needs.

I have a "classic", but now I would take "accept". But the tray (especially if the money is a pity) can not be taken: the grater fits perfectly on a large 3-liter. a saucepan. fixing on it with slots in the body and the volume of the pan is much larger than the tray. Additionally, I bought a 10mm insert for potatoes (7mm was not enough) and a separate grater for Korean carrots
julifera
I didn't buy a storage box either. When I took the grater itself, I felt sorry for the money for it - a fourth of the cost of the grater.
I had a plastic oval high container-jug for water lying around, there are 3-4 nozzles vertically without problems, a holder on top between them.

And when it was no longer a pity for money for boxing, then by that time I was already very accustomed to the jug - so conveniently easy to get / put in, you can put this jug anywhere
