Lena, what about pilaf with bulgur? Has it worked or not
And I didn't get to cous-kus and I don't even know what it tastes like

Olya, I made pilaf with bulgur (I bought it at your tip at ATB) - delicious!
Only did not have time to photograph. Nothing stays on the weekend!
And I bought a couscous in Ashan - a pack of 1 kg - light green about 26 hryvnia, and made it 2 times.
The first one in Vimara did not read the instructions - it turned out edible ...
Then I read the instructions and didn't cook it, but poured it with boiling water, let it infuse, added butter - very tasty!
I got an idea - to fry the couscous in a pan like a semolina porridge in a navy way, to give it a flavor, I think it should be delicious!
rusja
God, what are you doing with semolina porridge, I can’t even imagine anything other than the usual nasty porridge from childhood and a lot of manna.
By the way HERE the last hit of the week again from Omelka, I made it both in the cartoon of little Liberton and yesterday in the usual gas oven, so it turned out from the oven much tastier, so fluffy and soft, so I didn't even try to make it in Vimara
irysska
Girls, but for my taste couscous
I boiled it like semolina with milk - like a side dish - poured boiling water
Well, I don't know how to cook it in order to dispose of stocks
Hellena
Olenka, my mother prepares semolina on the water.
Fry 1 cup semolina in a dry frying pan until golden brown, stir all the time so that it does not burn.
Carefully pour salted water into boiling water (it hisses very much and foams, you can burn yourself), a ratio of 1 to 2.
Stir, add butter and wrap for 15-20 minutes (you can also cook on the stove until it thickens, but spits a lot).
The porridge is crumbly, very tender. As a side dish - fast and tasty!

I liked the taste, but I want to remove the "wheat" smell by preliminary frying.

Girls, who has Vimar, tell me, has he not disappointed you so far? Are you satisfied with it?
My mom wanted this SCW. She liked that there is a function "Jellied". You don't need to be wise. I pressed the button and it is boiling.

And who knows how Vimar VMC-164 differs from Vimar VMC-165? Which one to buy?
rusja
1. No, nothing disappointed
2. Jellied meat, to cook, you will have to press the button several times, because it is designed for only 30 minutes, but this program is perfectly replaced - Multicooker, there is just 1.5 hours
3.The differences 164 from 165 are not big, in 165 they are not - Multicooker, Yoghurt and Drinks (but these Drinks are 100% not needed)
The only thing missing is the ability to regulate the time from 1 minute (on Your own recipe) yourself, here it is only pre-installed on different programs.
The pot is solid, not a single scratch in six months of active use

rusja, does this mean there is no manual mode? That is, you can't install any time itself, only software?
A flat-bottomed saucepan or honeycomb? In your photo, it seems to be even, for mom this is important, she does not want a honeycomb.
rusja
yes, no manual mode
the bottom is even

Experimentally and collectively, it was possible to determine that the cooking modes were changed on the COLD and MULTI-COOKER programs, because by 10-30 minutes. obviously not enough for jellied meat, but STEAMED DISHES are excellent, and on the Multicooker in 2 hours 15 minutes you can just boil jellied meat and boil legumes (start from 45 minutes)

Mom will be happy that you can't cook this jellied meat on the function "Jellied meat".
I offered her Comfort, so this "Jellied" (I apologize for the tautology) sunk into her soul

They wanted to give her to DR. Now I think how she will react to the confused functions and the fact that there is no manual mode.
Or if she has no SCW at all, will she get used to it?
rusja
Yes, you can cook Jellied meat, of course, and we did it successfully, you only have to press 3 times, if it is at home, then it will not be difficult.
Here HERE look
LLika
The chill is notable. In my Comfort, too, it turns out great in 90 minutes.

Olya, it turns out to be without pressure on the multi-cook. So, I will consult with my mother if she wants to cook jellied meat in 3 visits.
rusja
A slow cooker - does it under pressure too, I cooked kvass on it - 45 minutes. And for the jellied meat, the very thing - at least an hour and a half, at least 2.15
It's just that I still didn't fully master it.
I wonder what mom will choose in the end
Sandy
AngelaAs the owner of both Vimar and Comfort, I can say that Comfort is much better, both in quality and in general. In Vimara, the only thing that is better is that there is "yogurt" and a 6 liter pot without honeycomb.

Lika, I cooked jellied meat on the "Multipovare" mode for 1 hour and 30 minutes. She is gaining pressure, the valve is blocking, only the "pressure cooker" indicator is off.
Sandy
And what kind of "multi-cook" is this? I have no "multi-cook"
LLika
I understand that this is the "Multicooker" program. So it is also gaining pressure?
Is the cover removable or hinged? I don't understand in the photo from page 1, there is no time to read the topic - at work now.

The lid is removed, "multicooker" is the usual program under pressure

Without pressure, only two programs on the orange strip below, these are "yogurt" and "drinks"
ahhh and "baking" more

Lika
yes, the lid can be removed completely, and is attached to the handle with a hole, but the inner one - no, I always forgot to put it on in Liberty.
And the Multicooker program is completely incomprehensible, as it is very long and clearly confused with Jellied meat, but sho want to from the Chinese, where they should know about the primordial Slavic dish

Purely out of sports interest: since the program "Drinks" is without pressure, then it probably does not boil very much on it? I will try to explain. When I cook borscht, I throw in all the products at once, except for cabbage and greens. When the SCW opens, I put them in and turn on, so that the borscht would boil for a couple of minutes, so that the cabbage would boil. I tried it on different programs, the borscht starts to boil. I turn it off, close the lid and it infuses for a while, until the cabbage is ready.
Therefore, I ask, on the Drinks prog, maybe the temperature is not so hot that the liquid dishes of the saghetti gurgle, and do not boil at full strength? I don't know myself if she explained clearly
rusja
Everything is clear, Angela, but on Drinks, temp-ra, very good. quickly drops and as a result 37 grams (and the same on Yogurt) is closer to languor, but sooo careful, and count it up for ... a day and a half
The Chinese, there probably insist on ginseng or some kind of snails torment
LLika
Found a picture of the Vimar VMC-164 modes. Here they have already signed the Dishes for a couple, and at the same time they may have adjusted their brains, changed her time with jellied meat

Pressure cooker Vimar VMC-164

Probably tomorrow I will order this SCV, since it can cook for a long time under pressure for jellied meat. She didn’t call my mother, she saw my Comfort live more than once and he didn’t touch her soul, and as soon as I showed her the picture of Vimar and read the functions, I said: I want this. Yes + a saucepan with a flat bottom.

rusja
Well, it's great, you will test it with your mother, at the same time, you will see what has been changed in it and whether there will really be a double boiler, although, in principle, you can steam in any mode (steam is collected everywhere), the main thing is to choose the right time
Where will you order?
I thought that these were some kind of disposable SVs, appeared by chance, on the market and disappear, and they even improved, and some added pressure - low, medium, maximum
we don't have one
LLika
Most likely, this is not a low, medium, maximum pressure, but a restriction on the cooking time, that is, as in Comfort Taste "hard, standard, soft".
In other Internet shops there are pictures with a menu like yours on the first page. Tomorrow I'll call, maybe someone will say something specifically about them.

And here is another prefix to the name inox added
🔗
rusja
so have you already ordered with a new face?
LLika
The manager just called back and dictated the labels on the menu. They correspond to the picture with the instructions that I showed in the post Reply # 514 Yesterday at 22:03, only instead of "Jellied meat" it says "Vegetables", and where "Multicooker" is nap. "Jelly". Ordered, let's see in reality what comes. They will ship it tomorrow, when I get it, I'll take a picture and show it.

The manager was aware of these SCVs because he says that they recently took them to the exhibition and he is well acquainted with them. He said the license is Italian, and they are collected in China, but they had no complaints from customers about the quality.
We'll see.

Pressure cooker Vimar VMC-164
rusja
Lika, what did the consultant tell you, who took our Vimar to the exhibition - How long does Jellied cook take - also 30 or 2.15, like a Multicooker?
LLika
I did not ask about this.

I talked with a consultant. My main question was whether the menu of the pressure cooker, which is shown on their website with the menu in the instructions, was the same. True, I had to explain on fingers long, which I mean (he has instructions in front of his eyes and there is no SCV, it is in stock). Well, I mentioned that in SCV, where Kholodets is registered in the left column, the program runs for 30 minutes, and in Multvark it is 2:30, so I tell him: "The programs are clearly messed up." He was so surprised, "Yeah, hmm" and grinned.

IMHO, the manufacturers themselves realized that the programs are not in place, most likely they did not re-solder the electronics, but simply changed the name of the buttons.

Vimar will arrive (they promised on Friday), I'll try everything and report back.
rusja
Ladies, do not suck, join with recipes for our Vimar,

but my Liberty is returning to me, the current is not one of the relatives where she left, but from Tanyusha-fronya40, she bought herself a bunch of new equipment and Liberty began to stand idle, but at my place, a spare saucepan remained from him, the good will not be lost
LLika
Got a pressure cooker with this menu
Pressure cooker Vimar VMC-164

Checked that the time in the menu matches as described rusja on the 1st page. The inscriptions VEGETABLES and FOLDER were swapped, now the modes are not confused.
Programs and their changes in steps of 1 min.
HOT - 30 minutes, varies within 20-40 minutes.
CHICKEN - 15 min, from 8-22 min
VEGETABLES (double boiler) - 20 min. from 10 to 30 minutes
BAKING - 45 min
Porridge - 12 minutes, from 6 to 18 minutes.
PLOV - 25 minutes, from 12 to 38 minutes.
SOUP - 25 min, 12 to 38 min.
COLDER - 1 hour 30 minutes, from 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes (in steps of 5 minutes).

YOGURT - 8 hours 30 minutes, varies from 6 to 10 hours (in steps of 30 minutes)
DRINKS - 30 hours (!!!), from 25 to 36 hours (in 1 hour increments)

They gave it to my mother, she is very happy, but I was unpleasantly surprised and even upset that she hisses and whistles when the pressure is set and during cooking, until the mode ends, then more quietly and silently until the lid opens. On the one hand, it’s good to hear that it works, but on the other hand (after my comfort is generally silent), this sound gets on my nerves. And now I don't know if this is some kind of marriage thread, or it should be in this model.

Outwardly, she compared it to her SQV.
Pressure cooker Vimar VMC-164
All the same Comfort Fy-500 - this is a man - solid, handsome, self-confident, and Scarlett SL-1529 and Vimar VMC-164 can be compared with girls, graceful, cute creatures, although in work and cooking skills they are in no way inferior to the "man". Here is the conclusion.
rusja
Lika, well done, that she compared
but I did not understand Jelly and remained 30 minutes by default, or they added the Multicooker time (2h 15 min), which was removed
And relatively hiss, so you haven't seen Liberty, she has constant hiss, whistling and even a stream of steam from the valve and, accordingly, the smell of what is being cooked. In Vimara, everything you described depends on what is being prepared, if there is a lot of liquid, it may even make some sounds (if I honestly did not pay attention), and if it is stewed and baked, then it seems quiet
But the main thing is that mom liked it
LLika
irysska, Thank you .

So you won't get a taste of what is being prepared, borscht, fish or porridge. The valve closes tightly. Scarlet also cooks in silence.
I gave my mother a "master class" (taught me how to work with SCW) - they cooked potatoes in their uniforms, and the steam also came out a little. If she were mine, I would have lost it and climbed to disassemble the valve.
rusja, removed the word Multicooker, wrote COLD, and left the time - 1 hour 30 minutes, from 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes (in 5 min increments). That is, now, as expected, the jellied meat will be cooked for a long time.

Girls, another question. Is the lid tight? I have it folding and due to the fastening does not move, but my mother has backlash. Under pressure, it sits dead, and when the SCV does not work, the lid dangles if it is pulled by the upper handle.
vita 73
: crazy: Girls, hello! I also bought myself Vimar 164, the first sample of manna according to a recipe from a recipe book - delicious. I want to cook not only according to ready-made recipes But, girls, maybe I'm stupid, but I can't understand how to turn on a pressure cooker, a double boiler and where there is a multi-mode. Kapets and not instructions. Plizz, explain
rusja
Vita, welcome to the Vimarov family
ALL modes in which you will cook, except for Baking and Drinks, after some time (depending on the amount of liquid and its temperature) will gain pressure, block the valve (such a small float on the lid) and automatically will become pressure cookers, the yellow button opposite the Pressure cooker will light up on the display.
It's the same with the Steamer, you pour water, put the steamer tray, put what you want to steam and close the lid.
Now pressure cookers with a different face have come out, look, Lika described it above, I have a slightly different design. But the modes are essentially the same.
Look at the recipes on our topic, and I and the girls shared them right here.
In general, master
rusja
And where did everyone disappear, how are the newcomers
Nobody wants to get a spare saucepan? Today I received a letter on my e-mail from an Internet shop selling our Vimars:

Hello! Dear friends, bowls for multicookers have appeared on sale (section of bowls for multicookers) bowls in limited quantities and we will not satisfy all the demand at once, but we will try within two, three weeks. Leave applications, and as soon as they arrive, we will contact you and discuss the details.

The bowl costs 170 grams. on the site she is for Vitallex, but this is the father / mother of our Vimar, they are identical
LLika
I ask the audience for help
Olya, please tell us in more detail how you made yogurt. I showed my mom your photo with a jar of yogurt. Calls today, asks for advice. And she says that she bought milk, sourdough, and wants to pour it into cans and into the SCV. For some reason I am sure that you need to pour water into a bowl and then put the jars. I have never made yogurt myself, I cannot tell her anything worthwhile.
rusja
Lika, there is no fundamental difference, I made yogurt without water, I just put a silicone mat on the bottom and put the jars, and Sandy seemed to be pouring water over the shoulders of the jars. I heat the milk to 38-39 grams and dilute the leaven. I do mainly on Good Food, but recently they have not been very thick, they are closer to drinking

LLika
Does the saucepan normally tolerate heating without water?
rusja
there is very weak heating up to 40 gr. the flight is normal all the time
vita 73
Thank you for your congratulations and for your reply. I am very glad that I bought this pressure cooker, although it is my first (model Vimar 164). Vimar I have with a new face such as Lika wrote, I certainly read the forum because instructors: crazy: wants the best, and the pressure cooker is not a rocket it needs to use. It's bad that the temperature regimes of the processes are not spelled out, I would not bother then I knew what to cook on which process. Here I have a problem related to the fact that when you press the Pressure Cooker button, it lights up and then the cooking mode is longer, for example Roast 1 hour. She herself does not light up when the valve is closed. I am interested in how you add or subtract the cooking time, I have already tried in every possible way but did not understand how to set my own, because there is a Menu button + and - (and you read it on the forum). I read the recipes, girls, what are you good fellows, well, straight aces. I still have to learn how to cook like that, so I'm sorry if I ask stupid questions. And from what I have already mastered: Roast - this is Stewing, Chicken - that is Meat, Fish, Vegetables - that is Steamer and Vegetables, Baking - this is Frying and it is understandable Baking (it’s 45 minutes how to add it, because it may not be cooked), Porridge - it's understandable Porridge (it's interesting to cook dairy?), Pilaf - understandable Pilaf (I made buckwheat a crumbly class), Soup - understandable Soups, Borsch, Jellied meat - it's Jellied (75 minutes) (what else can you cook), Yogurt - it's clear, Drinks - a dumb program has not yet understood why it turns out, according to your reviews, it warms up. If you correct me, I will be grateful.
vita 73
: girl_cray: Wow, I want an extra cup too !! How to get? Will it fit exactly?
rusja
If I had not found my SV in Kiev, I would have ordered from them.
I do not know how it is now in new brands, but my time is added like this:
1. I choose a program - I click on it.
2. If the time suits me, I do not change anything, if I need to add I press on the Pressure cooker and + or - add accordingly
And Fry not quite stewing - a hotter program, it can boil if there is little liquid
And on Baking, 45 minutes is usually enough for me, if the batter with juice from fruit, I add another cycle and look when it is ready, I can turn it off earlier

LLika
vita 73, if the menu is the same as in mine, then after selecting the desired program, you need to add and subtract time by pressing MENU, and then - / +.
I literally just talked to my mother about this. She calls and says that the Kasha program works for her only at standard time, - / + does not turn on, I tried it several times, but the time does not move. I was already scared at first, the kyrdyk must have come. Then I ask you to repeat all the actions as quickly as possible, so that the program would not have time to use it and press down harder on the "minus". And, lo and behold! happened . I hear my mother on the phone already smiled, apparently she had to get nervous too.

As of today, they don't have yogurt. I bought an ampoule with sourdough, subtracted the numbers 02.11.13 on it and decided that it was expired. I went and handed it back to the store. I say, it was necessary to look at the box, maybe the production date is set.
