Svetik, I wrote recently. I cook the soup on a multibove 120 degrees for 20 minutes, after frying onions, carrots with pieces of chicken meat. I fill it with hot water from the cooler, it immediately boils and transfer the program from frying to multi-cook. But such a soup turns out. The broth is transparent, does not boil away, does not run away - I cook quickly, deliciously, though for 2-3 servings.

accept into your ranks. I have had a cuckoo for 3 weeks. before that there was a small Panasonic, which had to be left when we moved (and it was shabby). And what can I say after 3 weeks of daily cooking:
* very tasty meat - any (we don't eat lamb, didn't cook)
* buckwheat began to be obtained in the pilaf mode in a ratio of 1 to 2 and another half of a quarter
* rice and pilaf are delicious on their own modes
* baking bread - delicious, but pale ... in an electric oven is better and tastier
* excellent frying mode: fry both croutons, and fry in soup, pilaf, and fry meat. Now I understand that I missed this mode in Panasonic.
* multi-cooked compote 98 for 1 tsp from frozen fruits. what saddens: sugar does not completely dissolve and you have to stir it at the end as if scraping from the bottom ... in Panasonic I cooked stewing in the same quantities of water, sugar, and fruit in the same quantities, and everything was perfectly dissolved and infused. If you take less than an hour, it turns out not compote, but colored water, sweet ... I will try another mode for compote
* soups ... what about soups? in Panasonic it tastes better ... normal soup or cabbage soup is obtained with ready-made broth (and this is very long and troublesome, I expected to lay the food and get ready-made soup)
* I add tomato paste to pilaf (my family loves so much) 1 - 2 tablespoons. So, if you don't first dissolve tomato paste in water, then everything will be cooked, but the tomato paste will be on top in places and will not dissolve completely ... (in Panasonic it never happened). when the dish is ready, I stir the pilaf and turn on the frying mode for 5 minutes, but, to be honest, I would like to do without it
* delicious fried potatoes are obtained in the baking mode 1 level for 20 minutes (it is important that all the potatoes are mixed in oil)
* I cook pasta on the buckwheat mode (for 100 g of pasta, 1 glass of water - the proportions are spied here on the website, thanks for helping to save food) tasty and fast

Yes, the meat in cuckoos is something with something, I have a lot of mules, but the meat is most often made by my cuckoos.
goldenflov
* milk porridge is never given to me without dancing with tambourines ... the mode of milk porridge has never cooked the porridge I need from any cereal. today I cooked traditional oatmeal (not quick, but 20 minutes). in the mode of milk porridge, the oatmeal remained half-baked and did not * make friends * with milk very much ... milk separately, cereals by themselves ... I do not dilute milk with water (and I will not), because the taste changes and children with diluted milk do not eat. brought to readiness on the PP for 15 minutes. it turned out ok, but it takes a very long time
I am generally silent about millet (the children's favorite porridge) ... in the mode of milk porridge - raw millet, on a multi-cooker 1 hour is not enough, with a delay for the night for a multi-cook of 1 hour 30 minutes and heating is already better, but some grains in the middle are harsh ... for a very long time and not very tasty ... with proportions it was played ... millet mistral - I'm different for the last 7 years. I do not take it. in Panasonic, this porridge was cooked for 30-50 minutes, depending on the volume ... I already want to put it on the stove, but the stove is shameful, old ...
and this is what I can say about the milk porridge in the cuckoo - you can't get a mess, milk with cereals (rice, corn grits, millet, oatmeal, a mixture of rice and millet) are not "friends" ... sadness
I don't take more than 1 multi-glass of cereal (it's a pity to throw it out later), I tried 0.5 tbsp. both rinsed and not rinsed cereals - the result is the same
* as a result, I can say: everyone is good at cuckoo, except for simple soup and porridge
I will buy Panasonic, but not earlier than in 2-3 months. I don't know what to do with milk porridge this time ...

Yes, I do not argue, you can cook, but it takes a very long time and the result is not always predictable. In Panasonic I poured cereals, sugar, salt and poured milk. milk porridge regimen. We went for a walk with the children, and coming from a walk we ate very tasty porridge and so every day. There was a period when the youngest ate porridge 2 times a day and I cooked him fresh. if 0.5 tbsp, then about 20 minutes and the porridge is ready. goldenflov, Elena, I read you and wonder how differently the cartoon behaves in everyone. Maybe you need to measure the voltage in the network? Vita, I'm sure everything is fine with the tension. The meat is cooked very quickly and very tasty, the pasta on the buckwheat mode is simple and quick. Fried potatoes in a large volume (half a bowl and more onions on top) - also quickly and of the desired consistency, 20 minutes on the first level and frying is obtained! like on a gas stove. You can set it for 15-18 minutes, but then the frying will be paler. On my previous glass-ceramic stove, such fries were difficult to obtain and the stove was all splattered.
I think if you take minute flakes, then there will be no problems with porridge, but I don't take such flakes. I cook traditional oatmeal for 20 minutes (as it says on the box). I cook rice porridge from a round Kuban mistral.
what doesn’t suit me in the soup is that if you put fresh meat in pieces at the same time as vegetables (potatoes, cabbage, carrots, onions, peppers), then the cabbage is boiled almost into trash, and the meat turns out to be of the desired softness. As a result: I cook the broth separately and then put the vegetables, but it's not realistic to get a quick and simple soup ... like a cuckoo pressure cooker, but I didn't see a real increase in the speed of cooking. And if Panasonic covered all our needs for food (except for dishes from the oven), then the cuckoo really cannot cope alone.
I understand that I’ll say a seditious thought right now, but I expected much more from the cuckoo ... and yes, it’s difficult for me to understand why sugar doesn’t dissolve completely in a multi-cooker ... and I don’t understand why she cooks perfect rice and delicious meat, but cannot handle the porridge. Why is rice on water of the correct consistency and taste, while in milk the grains crunch even after 1.30 on a multibove?
Sedne
Quote: goldenflov

For me, Panasonic also does not cope alone, he cooks porridge, but for a very long time, either 2 cycles of porridge, or porridge + heating, and cooks the meat even longer.
At the expense of broth soup, it is really better to cook broth in pressure cookers separately, I don't cook broth in broth.
Quote: goldenflov

Because cereals on the water boil faster.
VitaVM
goldenflovElena, I don’t take instant oatmeal, I don’t like it, but I cook exactly from those that need to be boiled. And there are no problems with soups. I rarely cook in the broth, I mainly lay the meat in pieces. Agree that there are different varieties of cabbage: one will boil down into trash, and the other will be oak. Maybe it's all about your expectations? That they are not entirely justified? So cuckoos are not perfect, despite their price. I have 4 of them and they all cook in completely different ways. It is very indicative on rice - it tastes different everywhere. We are all different and we all have our own requirements. Look, Irinka Vernissage definitely needs to control the process of cooking the soup, but I did the frying, put in all the other ingredients, closed the lid and forgot about it until I had a bake. I honestly don’t know why you don’t get porridge. Maybe you should contact the service? It is possible that the program is not working correctly either. Sugar does not dissolve - yes there is. In this case, I do this: I poured out all the sugar, poured a liter of water, and pressed the heating twice - intensive heating takes place for 9 minutes. At this time I am doing something in the kitchen, then I stirred the sugar, threw in the berries, multi-cook for 30 minutes, 100 gr. The compote is amazing. You can say that this is dancing with a tambourine, but it does not bother me, just one of the small features of the cuckoo. As a result, it takes about 2 minutes to cook compote personally, and the rest is done by the cuckoo. Try it, experiment. Sometimes you need to get used to the technique, and sometimes you need to sell and find something that is more suitable. Anyway, I wish you good luck!
goldenflov
Vita, I understand your desire to protect the cuckoo! I like it myself. But it has cooking peculiarities. I am very grateful to all those who shared their experiences. Buying a cuckoo, I really expected it to be like Panasonic, only better. And yes, my expectations were met in some ways, but not in others.
Amazing roast mode, PP, baked goods, rice. Thanks to the girls who tested the PP and said that it takes a long time to cook in it. I myself would not have come to this for a long time.
And in gratitude to everyone who shared their experience and to help those who choose a cuckoo I decided to share my experience. Not very successful. I'm not a young hostess who is just starting to study the magical world of cuisine, I cook from 15 years old, read cookbooks, forums and understand the technology of cooking, easily adapt recipes to my needs. Therefore, I understand perfectly well that there are different types of cabbage, cereals, meat. A few years ago, before buying a Panasonic, it would never have occurred to me that you can cook soup not in broth, but immediately with meat. And only on this forum I realized that it is not only possible, but also tasty, fast!

I cannot go to the service center because I will be left with an old cast-iron stove, which spoils the bottom of the dishes and over which you have to stand and watch so that the milk does not run away. And I don't see the point, after a month of daily preparation of milk porridge, I can cook them, but it will take a long time (for millet at least 2 hours) and the result, unfortunately, will not always be predictable.
the manufacturer states that the cuckoo is a multi-cooker pressure cooker and that pressure cooking will shorten the cooking time. This expectation of mine did not come true either. The cooking speed is the same as on an electric stove.

Thank you for sharing that your sugar does not dissolve either! For a long time I could not understand why my children say that they are not tasty and increased the amount of sugar. Once again, I intuitively decided to stir the compote (I never did it) and realized that the sugar did not dissolve and seemed to stick to the bottom ... and I can dance with tambourines, but I can no longer ask my husband to cook the compote. Well, he will not press 2 times to warm up and sit in the kitchen for 18 minutes. And, you must admit, it is strange that sugar does not dissolve in an hour and a half at t 98-99, and even under pressure.
I will not part with the cuckoo, I will look for an approach, experiment, but I will have to buy a second multicooker.
Julia ***
Elena, I cook oatmeal for one multi-glass of cereal on a "multi-cook" 95 degrees 35-40 minutes, I always cook it on a delayed start in the morning and set the time so that the cuckoo finishes cooking an hour before breakfast, and it reaches the hour. All other milk porridge is also cooked on the "milk porridge" mode, but also always in an hour.

We also had a long grinding process, but I thought it was me who was crooked.

Quote: goldenflov
but I can no longer ask my spouse to cook compote. Well, he will not press 2 times to warm up and sit in the kitchen for 18 minutes.
Why sit next to her and even 18 minutes? Lena, when you press the heating button once, the "Heating" turns on, it can work for hours and picks up the temperature smoothly, and when you press the "Heating" button twice, the "Heating" mode turns on - the temperature is set quickly, it works for only 9 minutes, then the mode will switch from "Warming up" to "Warming up". All. There are enough such nuances in a cuckoo.
As for the soup - indeed, the cooking time practically does not differ from cooking in a regular cartoon, there is such a thing.
Julia also gave very good advice about the delayed start. Indeed, the porridge is tastier.
I also wrote about the voltage for a reason - there is such a jamb in cuckoos, they are very sensitive to this, and there have been cases of incorrect operation of one of the programs in the cuckoo, so I unsubscribed on this topic. The experience of communicating with the service on Komsomolskaya is also available
goldenflov
Vita, thank you for sharing your experience! I know about the difference between heating and heating. Probably I didn't read it carefully, it seemed to me that you turn on the warm-up, and then again - that's 18 minutes (9 + 9). BUT sugar still needs to be stirred, change the mode. This is not convenient for me. And if I’m ready to fry the meat first, and then stew it, then with a simple dish I want to put everything in the bowl, set the mode and wait for some food. Apparently my past cartoon spoiled me ...
As for the cereals, I will certainly try to cook it this way today. But I have 3_x L. a toddler who may suddenly want porridge, or change his mind about oatmeal and ask for rice. a month ago this did not give me any trouble. I poured 2 tbsp of milk, poured 2 liters of rice, salt, sugar and after 15-20 minutes I had a ready-made mess. And in a cuckoo in less than 2 hours, I won't cook such porridge for him.

Svetlana, the most common Panasonic small 2.5 l Panasonic SR-TMH10. he has milk porridge - a sensory mode and there the amount of products affects the cooking time, the less, the faster. If a couple of tablespoons of cereals and 2 multi-glasses, then 15-20 minutes, if one or 2 glasses of cereals, then from 40 minutes. Unfortunately, I had to give it to my relatives when I moved. I was going to buy a new one in Moscow, but my husband agreed to buy a cuckoo, I thought that a cuckoo is better than Panasonic in any way and took it.
