Again the pearl barley is delicious.
I eat barley alone in the house
I have rice and pearl barley next in line, of course without meat.

And lately I have been very much carried away by it, and before that I hadn’t eaten it at all ... Before buying a student ... The taste is completely different - just magical
By the way, no one else eats it except me ...

Well, everything, I praised everything, teased, one of these days I'll do it. Something is unhealthy, I don't want to eat too much yet.
I want to try Lizin's rice and pearl barley. I want it in milk too, I never cooked pearl barley in milk.

And I am nothing ... I say the truth ... Pearl barley rules ...
And get well ...

NataliMur !!! Tell me how you fry porridge with the lid open. My program turns on only when the lid is closed, and if you open it during the program, it immediately clicks and shows an error-open lid. I tried it on different programs - the same thing. What am I doing wrong?

You need to trick the saucepan to open the lid, and make the handle to the Close position. And truncated it will work as you want.

Thank you for the quick answer girls, for sure, live and learn. I would not have guessed - although I break the rules all the way - and then there is a stupor. I read it and wonder about myself - and how do they fry it? Taking off my hat...

Yeah - and fries so cool, better than in a frying pan ...

If this is your first pressure cooker, then you have not yet learned to deceive them (the principle is the same for many of them), we will be happy to help and advise

So what? We must delight ourselves, too!

A couple of days ago, I cooked soup with mushrooms and barley on the Soup mode for 35 minutes, however, I did not eat right away, it was still heated for about an hour, the barley was perfectly cooked, not overcooked, it turned out very tasty and my son even said it was delicious. And now I want to cook barley, just take mushrooms instead of meat. I wanted to do it on the Kasha mode, and you have Fry, now I doubt which mode is better to choose.

Sorry, I saw your message late ... I myself was thinking which mode to choose ... And you did it on what?
Now I almost do everything with pearl barley - my sonulya doesn't eat pearl barley - but it only cracks in the soup ..

Natasha, and I often do this kind of pilaf in the oven, it is very tasty, the barley turns out to be right in your mouth. And for soups, barley is very little needed, but I don't have MV and a pressure cooker, so I steam it in a thermos, rinse a couple of tablespoons and pour boiling water, after two hours the barley is ready, you can add it to the soup at the end of cooking. I just don't like to cook barley with meat, the broth turns out to be muddy
NatalyMur
Tatyan, I haven't eaten barley for a long time ..
We must prepare.
