Ingredients

Wheat flour 160 g
Oat flakes 200 g
Apple 1 pc (150-180 gr)
Sugar 100 g
Raisins 100 g
Egg 1 PC
Milk 250 ml
Vegetable oil 80 ml
Soda 0.5 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp. the spoon
Salt pinch

Cooking method

  • 1. Peel the apple and grate it on a coarse grater. Rinse the raisins with warm water.
  • 2. Mix the sifted flour, oatmeal, sugar, apple, raisins, baking soda and salt.
  • 3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg with butter and milk. Add lemon juice. Pour into flour mixture and knead the dough.
  • 4. Divide dough into muffin tins. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 170 ° C.

The recipe is taken from the book "Cakes and Pastries". There is a similar recipe on the site, but I decided to post this one too. Maybe someone will like it.

This is the first time I've baked these muffins. It turned out very tasty, not too sweet, with a delicate slightly moist crumb. Next time I'll put more raisins or dried apricots. We left with a bang for breakfast. A good alternative to oatmeal.

Oca , I didn't soak anything, and everything worked out great. The dough here is not steep, but a little thin and the muffins are baked for at least 30 minutes, the flakes have time to soften well and are not felt in the finished muffins. Although it probably depends on the flakes, if they are very coarse, then it may be worth soaking. I always buy Klin "Extra" kilogram packs and never had a problem.
