Probably, I got excited about deep fat. I wanted to make squid, potatoes, wings, fish.
I'll be in the old-fashioned saucepan.
Until 170, I found a model with a step of 1 degree from 3d.
My Wishlist 80% converge on Redmond 800.
The main direction is suvid. Everything else is secondary. I got the feeling that they have usurped this niche

This is not true. Sous-vide turns out great in other multicooker. For example, in Shteba. And then there are special sous vidnits.

And what is the cover of the bowl? Ceramics?
"Ceramics" must be taken in quotation marks.
For reference:
What is "ceramic"? In short, the main constituent is polyorganosiloxane. The gel is like that. It has only silicon in common with ceramics. And even then not in pure form, but its oxide SiO. That's the whole natural component.
Pots are ceramic, not cover. Actually, in Greek, pottery is clay.

I agree, it is necessary.

Is there a slow cooker that allows you to cook in a vacuum? Not under pressure like pressure cookers. And not in vacuum bags, as in sous-vide technology.
What is it like? With a pump continuously pumping out the pressure generated during heating ??

What for? Well, yes, boiling and gassing / vaporization at low temperatures, so in the end it's just low temperature cooking right?

It is not necessary to constantly pump out the pressure. It does not change during cooking. I want to cook at a lower temperature. Analogy with suvid, but not in the package. I cook porridge several times a day. Amaranth and millet and with sprouted rye. For the last months I have been cooking in the Marta MT-4315 multicooker. It has a multi-cooker for several time and temperature settings. Possibility to set time in 1 minute steps and temperature in 1 degree steps. Everything is fine, but the temperature is + -4 degrees. Therefore, I cook porridge in a water bath, as they do in Iran.
In the bowl itself, cooking amaranth does not work out normally. However, like millet porridge. Not to mention from rye seeds. I pour boiling water into the bowl, put a steaming stand from the Moulinex multicooker on it with a ceramic bowl with soaked seeds and water. This is the only way to get an acceptable result that I like. Mug and amaranth are best prepared in a closed container (jar).
I want to simplify the process and lower the temperature - buy a multicooker with a vacuum, if one exists. I saw such a device in Italy. But it is for restaurants and is not at all humane.

I got some kind of lime-like plaque on the ceramic coating of the marta bowl after 2 months. I cannot understand the reason. Do not cleanse with anything sparing. I cook in it for several hours every day. Fried in it only 3 times. Baking 3 times. The rest of the porridge and steaming.
By the way, there is a Panasonic multicooker. From the very first. There, the native Teflon coating is still alive. Nothing sticks. I cooked in it for a decent time.

but the temperature is + -4 degrees
Hello. I don't know if the temperature is floating in my multicooker, it doesn't matter to me that much. But when I cooked meat in the Redmond 380 in the vacuum mode, the color of the meat and juice remained pinkish. I don't like that. I wondered how I can cook it to my taste. Now I put it in a bowl, close it and turn on the heating for six hours. There is also a Redmond 381, excellent in control, but the valve is disgusting, I do not recommend buying it. I'm waiting for redmond 503-I will conduct a test.
I buy meat in the store immediately packed in a vacuum, cook it, then fry it if necessary and use salt and spices to taste. I cook millet and rice porridge at night. On an 800 gram glass jar I put 2 tablespoons of cereal, salt, butter, fill 2/3 with milk. I close the Waxi with vacuum lids, pump out the air with a pump until the milk rises to the lid, and also put it on heating for at least 6 hours. Vegetable stew, chicken, etc. I also cook everything in jars. For me, the vacuum function has become irrelevant, there is heating in all multicooker. Read the instructions for the multicooker on the Internet, Redmond has everything well described, what is the temperature and time step for different multicooker. I even found a table of what foods, at what temperature it is better to cook.
In an apartment, 220 volts stably cooks a cartoon for 6-7 hours, and in a private house less than 220 volts, then it prepares a cartoon much longer, she needs ten hours for millet porridge. Try to cook according to my "recipe", you may be satisfied with this result.
Mikle
Alena, thank you. And how do your Waxi lids keep the vacuum in the multicooker? The discharge does not go away?
I also do in banks. Green sprouted buckwheat, amaranth. Chickpeas and mung bean do not like the taste of how they come out.
I cook at 71 C in a water bath in tightly sealed jars. I just don't pump out the air. Nothing.
Quote: sarman
For me, the vacuum function has become irrelevant, heating is available in all multicooker
Why is it irrelevant? Since you cook in jars with evacuated air, do you understand correctly?
Anna67
Mikle, I think not so - due to the fact that the author is satisfied with the heating mode, that's how someone else is multi-cook instead of special. vacuum programs.
sarman
Quote: Mikle
And how do your Waxi lids keep the vacuum in the multicooker? The discharge does not go away?
Everything is in order, the air does not get inside during the cooking process, the lids do just fine. The main thing is to pump out the air well from the very beginning. I shake the can while pumping out. If there is liquid, you can see how it rises to the lid. I pump the pump 20-30 times.

Quote: Mikle
Why is it irrelevant? Since you cook in jars with evacuated air, do you understand correctly?
Not because in cans with evacuated air, but because on heating (70-75 degrees) my family liked the dishes more than on vacuum (62-65 degrees). The temperature is a little higher, the dishes seem to be more rich, boiled and richer with a special taste.Maybe I didn't cook so much and varied in vacuum, maybe the temperature was lower than on the display (I didn't measure it, because there was no thermometer), but what I cooked was not very impressed. So I raised the temperature to 70 ° -75 ° in vacuum, and therefore now I do not poke the selection button, but immediately press the heating.
In any case, I found for myself an option to replace the vacuum function and the vacuum apparatus with bags. Perhaps someone does not have the means to buy expensive devices, but you want to try a vacuum - here's an option for you. My children, students, have no time to tinker with cans and vacuum machines, they just buy meat in a vacuumized bag and the same fish. They put it in a saucepan, pour water, close the lid, press one heating button and, without hassle, ready-made meat by morning. And the fish is ready in 1.5-2 hours from the frozen state right in the evening, while they are busy with household chores.
Now the most interesting is how different multicooker is prepared in vacuum, whether the result depends on the model. It will have to be tested.

Quote: Anna67

Quite right. I also have an ARC 6L cartoon, there is no multi-cooker and there is no temperature control, but there is heating. And three cans of 800 grams are there, like relatives. Convenient for my large family. So this multi, as if there is a vacuum. 👍

KseniyaGord, the mother-in-law needs a replacement. Simple, straightforward model. I once gave her my old Panasik, bought 10 years ago. She liked him very much. But it has long been in need of replacement. And I still can't find a suitable multicooker. Either a bunch of unnecessary programs, then the bowl is weak, then the programs are not correct .... Pressure cookers usually have a dedicated pressure relief button. Pressed - the pressure is released, throw whatever you want.

Has anyone already bought a 2 liter Gemlux GL PC 27? Impressions? Among other things, the quality of the bowl and the speed of preparation are of interest. With a power of 700 watts, it must be a beast, and start instantly, otherwise the meaning of such a "motor" for a 2L baby is hard to understand.

It seems to me that the algorithm of the program affects the runability of cereals, not abs. power. On the other hand, Hemlux translated porrige (not baby porrige) as 'milk porridge'. Hence, given that most Asian adults do not genetically digest lactose, it can be assumed that the regimen was tested in water, and theoretically, although not necessarily, problems with milk could arise. But all the same it is interesting why the power was put in the cartoon more than in pressure cookers of this volume.
Svetta
walexyz, don't you think that the written displacement of 2 liters refers not to the volume (weight) of water / liquid in liters, but to the volume of rice cooked in a saucepan? Well, as it is, the bowls have a double scale in liters and cups, which relate exclusively to cooking rice and nothing else! After all, the multicooker is an improved rice cooker, the face and brains were changed, but the bowls were left as they were. And it is true.
For example, on bowls, the marking 3 l / 10 cup actually, in our usual sense, means a 4.5 (5) liter cup. If you follow my guess, then the 2 liters indicated in the Gemlux corresponds to approx. 3 liters of ordinary. Then the power of 700 W is justified.
walexyz
svetta, well, of course, everything can be, but why should the manufacturer mislead the buyer? The only review on the Yandex market states that this cartoon is small and suitable for bachelors. And then, according to this logic, 6 liter Gemluxes should then hold somewhere around 7-8 liters?

walexyz, well, I made a guess. These multi are not for sale with us, so "wait for information from the outside."
walexyz
svetta, well, I do not itch to buy, but rather a theoretical curiosity awakened. It turns out that the Redmonds and Polaris overestimate the volumes (3 liters, in fact, 2.5 liters), and the Gemlux underestimates. And their power is 500-600W, and here they are 700W at once. Here is a puzzle in my head and does not grow together))

I already have the 4th year of Shteba DD2. In it, just excellent cereals are obtained and a fluffy biscuit and pilaf and yogurt! In addition to the pressure modes, it can be used without pressure in the Frying, Heating and Simmering modes. On the last two, you can set the desired time and any temperature from 30 * C to 150 * C with a step of only 1 * C. That is, it can be used as an ordinary MV, as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, souvid maker, yogurt maker. Conveniently, the lid is removable, you can wash without problems. With pressure, meat dishes are cooked much faster. I cooked the jellied meat in 1.5 hours!
The coating of the Teflon bowls is very good, mine is still intact, although I use Stebik almost every day. The main thing is not to use hard spatulas / ladles, only silicone! There was no smell from the very beginning. Many agree that the dishes are delicious in it! This is the best cartoon for me! Simplicity, quality, no extra bells and whistles!
Before her there were 4 multi, two of them pressure cookers. I wanted to buy / change something else. But after Stebik I don't even look "to the side", it suits me perfectly. And almost everyone here at the Bread Maker speaks well of it, who used it.A bunch of proven recipes and a topic on it for almost 500 pages.
The pressure is released automatically, silently and without a jet of steam, as in some other CBs.

I use such a pressure cooker in the country. Basically I fry potatoes in it - frying mode, fry chicken, pork-baking, steamed vegetables - in pressure cooker mode on rice (rice is the first in the selection mode, so I put it, for carrots, potatoes I leave time, for medium beets I put 20min) If you need recipes for your dishes, write me, I will compare with redmond recipes.
I did not like to cook in the multicooker mode, because if you close the lid, as in the video instructions, then steam comes out from under the lid, steam may get under the display. Therefore, I close the bowl with a regular lid with a silicone rim, the silicone adheres well to the bowl.

Yesterday I tried to cook a pea, it turned out a little thin, but I liked it - quickly and without dancing with a tambourine.
The biggest problem: I don’t know how to choose the right program and for which product how long it takes. And does the timing strongly depend on the number of products.
To use your recipes, you need something like a plate indicating the products and cooking times in pressure cooker mode.

Quote: Natalia
The biggest problem: I don’t know how to choose the right program and for which product how long it takes. And does the timing strongly depend on the number of products.
For example soups. A simple pea soup with chicken. Cut the chicken (broiler) into medium pieces, put in a bowl, add half a glass of washed peas, potatoes. Fill with water without adding to the edge 3-4 cm. Close the valve, rice 12 min chopped, 15 min whole. The peas will boil down completely. If you are cooking soup, do not relieve pressure with the valve, wait 15-20 minutes. During this time, I fry, fry onions and carrots in a pan, at the end I pour hot water over the frying and turn off the pan. I open the lid of the pressure cooker, pour out the frying and turn on the rice program, wait for it to boil with the lid open. When it boils, I turn it off and close it with a regular lid or cover it with a multicooker lid. You can fry the frying immediately in the bowl on the frying mode, then add all the other products. It's for your taste. Pickle, sour cabbage soup on chicken according to the same principle. If you want soup on other meat, then first cook the broth. Pork 25-40 minutes, beef and other types of meat from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours on the meat, soup or jellied meat mode. There are low or high pressure modes - you can use them too, set the right time. At low pressure, it is cooked over time in the same way as in a saucepan on the stove. High pressure duplicates all programs on the scoreboard.
I cook borscht in ready-made broth, expose for 7 minutes. If you cook the soup half a saucepan, then the time should be slightly increased, because after the end of cooking, when we are waiting for the pressure to be released, the soup continues to cook. For example, if there is a lot of soup, then boil 15 min + 20 min pressure release = 35 min average boil time. If half a bowl, cook 15 min + 10-15 min drain = 25-30 min. Peas, barley can be less boiled. This means that to get boiled peas, it will take 20 minutes. This is the principle of making soups. But according to recipes redmond 380 and 381, you can cook these soups too. Beef is listed there, so the cooking time is longer.
At low pressure, it is better to simmer and stew, and it is better to use the simmering and stewing in the multicooker mode for those products in which there is less liquid. The reason is strong steam from under the lid. Try the rest of the dishes according to Redmond recipes. If something remains undercooked, you can always turn it on for a few minutes and cook it. The most difficult thing is to choose the proportion of rice and water, because of different varieties of rice. Try rice 1: 2 at low pressure for 15 minutes. Compare with rice for 20 min and with the default rice program.
