"Pilaf" from barley groats with tomatoes

Ingredients

Meat
Preferably soft meat, took veal brisket
300-500 g
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Red tomatoes
I took 4 pieces. canned tomatoes in tomato juice
3-4 pcs.
Large barley groats 1.5 measuring cups from the multicooker
Spices for pilaf
Salt taste
Garlic 2 - 3 teeth

Cooking method

  • Cut the meat into small pieces, fry in a pan in vegetable oil (1-2 tbsp. L.), Add the onion in cubes, fry again with meat. I cooked over medium heat.
  • Now I add tomatoes pounded with a fork (peel off the peel), spices for pilaf. Cook over medium heat until the liquid is boiled down.
  • I used canned tomatoes - they are tastier for gravy, spicy.
  • We get just such a roast.

  • I close the lid of the multicooker, set the Pilaf mode. We wait!
  • You can use the Quenching mode - 1 hour is enough, or be guided by the readiness of the products and the boiling off of the liquid.

  • Done! Try it - it turns out pretty tasty!

  • Bon appetit, everyone!

Note

What to do from barley grits, if available at home?
I have already added this cereal to bread - it turns out good bread!

Today I made "pilaf" with meat and tomatoes.
Pilaf - because I can't call it porridge - is nevertheless closer to pilaf in consistency and composition.
