I kind of know why the round is only on one hook?

and how not necessary? it is necessary, of course! if with protection from the test, then two would have been. Why only one? Then they suggested that it was like a label - right left. And why where to insert - the instructions are not written. This question haunts me that day already. We need to figure it out! Help!

Holes for hooks / beaters of the same diameter? If they are the same, then next to them there should be some kind of identification marks (something like a small and large circle), and they can be applied very optional and look like a stamp from stamping. The hook with a "round" is inserted into a hole or larger diameter or with a large circle sign.

Thank you! the holes seem to be the same. It is necessary to carefully examine the identification marks on the hull at home, as if nothing like that happened. But the old mixer had exactly the same hooks, without rounds and other personal belongings. That's why I was puzzled.
Mlyn, but you can't knock out the markings on the hooks - R / L. Otherwise they lead people astray
LiudmiLka
If this is your first time using any device, then you must first read the instructions. For example, mine says: “The whipping and kneading attachments have a special shape. The attachment with the metal ring must be inserted into the wider hole on the left. "LEFT!
I have always believed that this ring, on the left, helps to twist the bowl of dough, etc. It stands on a rotating stand and this ring, as it were, pushes the bowl of whipped products.
Biryusa
Those hooks that you showed in the photo do not "get entangled" with each other (this was before, in old models of mixers). But their spirals are "twisted" in different ways, clockwise and counterclockwise, just as the drives for each hook rotate differently. Therefore, for ergonomics and avoiding dough splashing, each hook has its own socket.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Quite right. This is a bowl ring. The bowl seems to be spinning on it. In general, I have a plastic label on each hook: one is as smooth, the other is grooved like a gear.

I just tried to explain in which socket to insert the "marked" hook, but I could not determine which of them was left and which was right. In short, if you put the mixer "on the bottom" with the holes facing you, then this hook is usually inserted into the left one.

Ksyusha, what if the mixer is without a bowl? And due to the design, power and price, in principle, it cannot be?
LiudmiLka
The left one is what is closer to the edge of the bowl when the mixer is set to work. Yes, there is a larger hole, the nozzles will only fit into their place, into their own hole, suitable in size and shape.

One and the same mixer model comes in two versions: manual and stationary. Probably, it is more economical to stamp the same devices, and make various additional devices for them.

I saw this question for a long time, but I thought that the author was joking and did not write anything. What prevented you from just shoving those whiskers-hooks and getting an answer in a couple of seconds?
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Olya, then they are all done according to the same type and likeness. One with a bowl, the other without. But the hooks / whisks will cast / bend the same for everything. It’s easier than doing your own "model" of the hook. Especially cheap ones. And the power does not affect the presence or absence of the bowl. Even my vintage 150 wadded bowl pulls like a nice little one. Now they don't make them so weak.

good jokes - complete dislocation of the brain. Mixer without bowl, not a word in the instructions.

Let's take a photo of the bottom of the mixer now! There should be a recess in the plastic under the rim circle.

This is a bowl ring. The bowl seems to be spinning on it.
Now I was kneading the dough and drew attention to my mixer. He has a ring on the hook, but it does not touch the bowl and does not participate in the rotation process in any way. But on the other hand, I noticed that when kneading, the dough slides down on one hook, and on the other (just along the one on which the ring is on), rises up. And as soon as it reaches the ring, when it touches it, it slowly begins to descend. But this is all lyrics. The most important thing is to insert the hook into your socket. If the holes are the same and there are no marks on them, then you shouldn't bother: just cook for fun and that's it.

Maybe they are inserted, I have not tried it! But the instructions say how to insert correctly. checked, not inserted, not even fit.
Newbie
girls, read the instructions more carefully, found (where I did not expect at all), a mention of the right / left. It remains to decide what is right and what is left. In one position, they are in a mirror image (squiggles to each other), in the other, they duplicate each other. Where to insert?
Piano

see how your hooks are standing, huh?

So this ... as I put it and stand! At least apart by hooks, at least towards, at least in one direction, they spin without problems

I also do the same and never bothered how to put them) they do their job at 100)
I often use these hooks for making waffle dough

so it will suddenly catch on, break? the manufacturer warns - put it this way and not otherwise.

We already sort of figured out this:

Kalyusya
Quote: Biryusa
It is important for the hooks that each one rotates in the right direction. If they are confused in places, they can catch on each other, the motor will overload and the mixer will break down.

Nope. They will not cling, spin like cute ones. It's just that the dough will go up the hooks and get into the machine. We swam, we know.
Newbie
so can you explain to me where the mixer has right-left? And then I'll figure it out myself.
Alex100
It's like in a car in the direction of travel
Taia
Newbie... In many mixers, at least in those that I have seen, the two holes where the attachments are inserted are always different from each other. And the attachments are also always different from each other. One hole is always reinforced (it is slightly larger in diameter), it is visually visible. Here, a nozzle with the indicated difference is always inserted into it. In your case, this is a circle above the rim.
Newbie
Yes Well such a thing! Should I buy a micrometer? Visually, the holes are the same. The manufacturer writes - insert the marked hook to the right. Where is the right to look for something? On your own or on yourself? At least go and hand the mixer back. There are no more neurons.
ledi
what is the mixer called? And the model number, I'll go at least look on the internet
Alex100
Nozzles only in diameter are the same why) 5.5 measured on a modern one, recently bought on a Chinese noname of the 90s

Or take the mixer in your hand as if it were an iron and you are going to iron it. If at the same time you look at the mixer from above (i.e., at the handle), then on the right there will be a RIGHT hole. Ufff ...

Perhaps the photos are not quite clearly displayed. But there are differences and they are visible. And the instructions for the red mixer say that the drive is reinforced.

Where is the logic, why make the holes different is the drive the same?
Although I admit that in rootless, cheap mixers everything is done through one place.

Can I knead tough dough with a mixer (for dumplings)? If so, tell me an inexpensive model.
LiudmiLka
I have a powerful, not cheap mixer and only yeast dough is indicated in its instructions. And since a cheap mixer is usually of low power, draw conclusions. I try to always follow the rules for using the equipment.

Or a combine with this function (expensive), or a bread maker with the "Pasta" program.
Alex100
The bread maker kneads the dumplings well. But even there, in the instructions (I have an expensive Panasonic) it is written that strictly observe the proportions of dough and water (milk)
