Zest,

I refused from weighed, even the most elite and without flavorings. It is stored incorrectly, for a long time after opening the package it is in a leaky container - especially in stores where they are sold from transparent plastic containers with dispensers - everything evaporates.

Small vacuum packages are best. Well, or if a lot of coffee is consumed, then it can be large. It is advisable to drink the opened package in 2 weeks. Even when stored in a refrigerator closed, the aroma and taste disappear.

If, when brewing in a Turk, the difference is not very noticeable, I also pour coffee into a dry Turk and heat it over a fire. shaking - so that the aroma goes and a little freshen up the roast - then in a coffee maker the difference is significant ...

From the mass of tried and tested or red lavazza, or a mixture of half Cellini Prestige with the same red lavazza

Caprice in Moscow sells green coffee only Nicaraguan has not met another, and then only in one network of coffee shops and is not cheap. The grains are large, all of the same size. And I have been roasting coffee for a long time so I got used to it.
I don't drink flavored coffee at all, I don't like it.
Alexandra, I buy roasted coffee in the Your House store, there is a section for coffee and loose tea, so coffee is stored there only in sealed cans. Several times I ran into low-quality coffee in packs, you open the pack, and there is refried coffee with an incomprehensible smell, so I don't take it in packs anymore.
Qween
Zest, I also buy Lavazza, in red packaging. The sticker with the translation is always golden, with small print.

Those Italians with whom I crossed paths at work recognized, as I mentioned earlier here, only Lavazza. But I don’t know what grade of this brand. Try a black pack called Espresso /
And you also need to brew ristretto, that is, half a coffee cup from a whole fully filled coffee holder.
Seraphim
Lavazza tasted all colors ... The coffee is good, today the black pack is our favorite. But still not the same as we drank in Italy. And regarding the strength, the husband prepares any coffee for himself in a small cup with a horn filled to capacity. So there is nowhere to experiment in this direction.
Caprice
In fact, many people forget that espresso is when there is a lot of coffee on a very small amount of water. Recently, I have often come across the fact that one of my acquaintances will make a bucket of a drink for 5 people from the same batch of coffee, which I personally fall asleep for myself at home on one tiny cup, and then talk about taste and quality with a clever look the resulting "coffee" beverage. And it’s useless to explain to them that they need twice as much coffee, and four times less water ... In general, now I go on a visit with my tiny thermos in case I suddenly want normal coffee
ks372
Tried a lot of coffees, but for some reason recently settled on Jardin. Freshly roasted coffee fills the whole apartment with aroma. The grains are fat, pretty. No. 3 is softer, No. 4 is a stronger roast. Try it!

And my husband did even easier when he found the espresso very strong: he passed water into a cup of coffee for the second time through a used (but not discarded) capsule!
In this regard, cheaper non-automatic Nespresso models are more convenient: you yourself regulate the amount of water in the cup.
Alexandra
Or take an espresso capsule and pour water like a lungo

but it's not very good to drive a used capsule ... there is already unappetizing pouring out of it ...

That's for sure. Although, as for me, the espresso should be very strong and in a small dose. Then you can taste it. And for a less strong espresso, it is enough to order capsules with a lower strength of the drink. They are classified there on a 10-point scale of strength. This can be seen on the Nespresso website. I don’t know how on Russian / Ukrainian sites, but in Israel this scale is definitely available. I also order through this site. Delivered straight home the next day.

When ordering more than 20 packs of 10 capsules, we have free delivery. So I order every 2-3 months for 20 packs of different tastes
Alexandra
Alas, there is no free delivery in Moscow. We drink at work, there are 2 coffee makers on the floor (personal), we order together for about 15 people. It turns out much more than 20 packages, but delivery is still paid. Therefore, we are waiting for each other and ordering everything together.
Caprice
I just don't need to order more than 20 packs at a time. Family - only 3 adults, we drink, maximum, 2 cups of coffee a day. Sometimes we make coffee for those friends who come to visit.

This year, Nespresso is running "Christmas" varieties of gingerbread, chestnut praline and apricot. Although I don't like flavored coffee, I took it to my husband. At the weekend at the dacha we will try
Alexandra
I didn't like the apricot, it smells more like apricot jam than fresh fruit.

Chestnut praline smells like chocolate candy with nuts.

Gingerbread smells like gingerbread.

Last year, the aromas were cleaner - mandarin, ginger, caramel. There was no smell of outsiders' desserts
Caprice
And I'm still thinking which of these flavors to order? This is, except for those varieties that are already familiar.
sgf45
Ladies, I fiddled around with these flavored "coffees" at home today. Since I do not like flavored coffee, but try itching, I tore open a capsule with apricot, poured it into Saeko's horn, and added Cellini Prestigio (the volume was 1: 2). Such a cool coffee came out with a very light unobtrusive aroma of apricot and quite strong. So now I don't worry about where to put 30 capsules if my husband doesn't want to consume them in their pure form.
Alexandra

I will take note of your method, for just 2 weeks I will write my diploma at home, I will bring my "not rolled" apricot from work and use it in Saeko together with lavazza.

No, we actually need a coffee maker just for two, but my wife is now "in position", she refused coffee, but in half a year she will probably return to him.

You can actually drink decaffeinated coffee. For my taste - the most pleasant - Lavazza decaf in a blue pack. A little expensive, but I also can't have more than 1-2 small cups of caffeinated coffee a day. And decaf - please. At work I drink capsule Nespresso decaffeinato and decaffeinato lungo, at home Lavazzo decaf
julifera
And no one knows what kind of coffee it is - "L'Kaffa" The Fifth Element Energy (75% Arabica-25% Robusta)?
They have another look - "L'Kaffa" Nicaragua Matagalpa - did not ask the composition, it seems softer than the Fifth Element.

I liked it by the smell, but I don’t know how by the quality, can anyone try it, tell me your feelings?

(I'll make a reservation right away - megastrong ones can't drink)

julifera Nicaragua I only take green loose (i.e.to another green I have not seen) and fry myself, I like it.

It was done, the bill was issued. I ordered different coffees there at the same time:
Santo Domingo 450 g.
Illy can 250 g
Saeco Gold 250 g
Lavazza Dec 250 g.
Lavazza Dec was excluded from the order, I wanted to replace decaf with Illi, it is also not there, they said, d. B. at the end of the next. weeks. To be honest, I don't know why I need it, well, if guests sensitive to coffee come in the evening or the child wants to try cappuccino (although I'm not sure if children can be given decaf) Maybe I don't need to want it?

I would have this sensitivity to coffee, in the evening I drink a small cup of the strongest espresso and ... it starts to get sleepy, some kind of direct opposite effect is obtained! And I tried different varieties of coffee, the effect of all is the same, coffee acts on me as a sleeping pill, so I try not to use it during the day, if possible.

tanya1962 nope, I won't unsubscribe, now I don't want it. Maybe I ordered something else in vain, I haven't tried these varieties. I would be glad to any advice, I promise in case of something not to throw slippers. But Illi will order. The most important thing is that it is not sour, but I love experiments. Here's another Alexandru I’ll wait for it to be about decoff. will say.
Alexandra
kolynusha - I'm here

With the purchase of you

It all depends on how much coffee you drink per day. A couple of cups of espresso a day - you don't need decaf.
In general, if we take decaf, it’s only very expensive so that the caffeine is simply washed out with water, and not chemically. In the latter case, the harm is greater than the benefit ... Then my husband heard on TV over the weekend that diabetics should not decaf, so apparently, it was chemically treated that they meant.
And so, 1-2 cups of coffee a day help the metabolism, and already more - they can begin to have the opposite effect.
Children usually don't like coffee. I do not know the age of your child, if small, make better cocoa with the same exact foam. Just with a spoon on top of the foam, scoop from the Cow, when you do it for yourself, and on cocoa.
If it's already big and not for the night, you can drink occasionally a cup of cappuccino with regular coffee.
Also keep in mind that decaf is often sour. One of the most worthy varieties is the same Lavazza in a blue pack. But he is also slightly sour. But I did not like the ILLI decaf at all, I tried it in pods - a bitter rough taste.
kolynusha
Alexandra, Thank you, it's too early to congratulate me on your purchase, I just got an invoice, and it's not final, because they don't have Lavazza Dec. I order in your store. Advise non-sour varieties. I have Lavazza, I want something else. Decaph. I will not order either. The order melted before our eyes, only Illy and Saeco Gold remained. Maybe they are sour
Alexandra
kolynusha ,

You need ground ground, right?

Take Lavazza in a red tutu, can't go wrong
🔗

This Lavazza variety gives a thick foam, not sour
🔗

This blue Lavazza is more expensive - also not sour
🔗
And here is the gold and black Lavazza with sourness.

In principle, I don't like Illi and Saeco, I won't write anything about them, and I don't know the other varieties so well.

kolynusha,

How much did you order?
I ordered it straight from Italy on E-Bay, it took only a month and it turned out 62 euros with delivery to Togliatti.
Alexandra
Tiny,

I also accidentally stumbled upon a type of coffee that completely suits me when making espresso - Rombouts Grand Reserve in beans. It is released in 3-liter cans, and I bought it by weight. Unfortunately, I could not find where you can buy a whole canister.
I grind a third of Medium, a third of Fine and a third of espresso (I have a Bork grinder).

Espresso for my taste from this coffee in Mukka is just perfect, in terms of strength, taste, richness and creaminess.

Alexandra
This is the first time I've heard of such coffee ... And where can you buy it?
And for many years I have been faithful to my beloved "Lavazza", although sometimes I "jump off" from it and start trying new varieties of coffee, but I still come back to "Lavazza" again and again! Apart from Lavazza, I liked some varieties of Live Coffee and Montana Coffee.
P.S.Alexandra, and what kind of coffee grinder you have, at the present time I am just puzzled by the choice of a new ...
Alexandra
Tiny, Tanya,

Ground coffee of this brand in black cans of 250 g can be ordered on the Internet or bought in large stores such as Azbuka Vkusa, and I bought grain by weight in a small cafe, I haven’t seen it anywhere else, there it is by chance - I’m looking now where I can buy it myself ...
Brewed in Mucca after such a mixed grinding, it is definitely tastier than even my favorite red Lavazza. Part of the grind, I think, but the coffee itself is good - it's a blend of 12 different arabica beans specifically for espresso.

Bork seems to have only one model of a millstone coffee grinder, in metal. I have it.

Girls, Tiny, Tanya,

Quite by chance, today I came across coffee, which I was talking about, Rombouts Grand Reserve in 3-liter "cans". In a small Rombouts brand store on the former B. Kommunisticheskaya, and now Alexander Solzhenitsyn, house, if I'm not mistaken, 9.

There, by weight, 2,000 rubles per 1 kg, and a whole 3-liter "canister" with a valve that can be opened and closed - 3,700, that is, a significant difference is obtained ...

According to numerous reviews, I bought Lavazza Crema Gusto coffee.
Indeed, the froth is thicker, more, but the taste of the resulting espresso and cappuccino, compared to Illy Moka (in a rolling can with a black stripe), is disgusting. In addition, to get approximately the same concentration (strength) of the drink as Illy, you need to pour much more coffee.
Conclusion - I wasted money. Lavazza didn't like it. I stay with Illy.

The taste and color, as they say ... But I really like this coffee, and in general today Lavazza remains one of my favorite coffee brands. Illy tried it, did not go ...
By the way, maybe someone can tell you the correct proportions for making Mokka coffee? I remember that I need espresso + milk froth whipped with cocoa + milk froth, but alas I forgot the proportions ...
kolynusha
Mocha is a coffee cocktail that includes espresso, hot chocolate, hot milk and milk froth.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup cocoa powder

2 cups of hot coffee
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup whipped cream
ground cinnamon
Mix sugar and cocoa in a coffee pot, add hot coffee and cold milk. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, add vanilla. Pour the resulting chocolate-colored liquid into 4 mugs of 230 ml each or into a thermos. Place whipped cream in each mug and sprinkle with cinnamon on top.

MOKKO-GLASSE
Hot chocolate (ready-made) ---- 50 ml.
Ice cream ball --------------- 80 gr.
double espresso
whipped cream, if desired or to taste - 30 ml.
Monin Irish syrup ---- 20 ml.
cinnamon sticks for decoration.
pour hot chocolate into Irish, make a double espresso, gently pour on the surface of the mountains. chocolate, put a scoop of ice cream (very tasty with pistachio) into the glass, pour the syrup and, if desired, put whipped cream, topping, cinnamon sticks, or whoever goes for that.
you can also serve an alcoholic version, with a choice of liqueurs or several alcoholic drinks.
Or instead of Irish (beaten to impossibility) - Monin's cinnamon syrup
Espresso, chocolate or chocolate sauce, whole milk, whipped cream.
Heat milk and chocolate in a steaming glass until they are combined. Pour in the coffee gradually. Garnish with whipped cream on top and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
• Mocha coffee 3 tablespoons
• Cinnamon to taste
• Nutmeg pinch
• Cocoa powder 1 tbsp
• Condensed milk 2 tablespoons
1. Make coffee, sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
2. Next, the condensed milk and cocoa powder are ground with a spoon into a mass, without lumps.
3. Then half the coffee is poured into the cup.
4. Then the resulting mass of condensed milk and cocoa is dumped there.
5. All this mixes well.
6. Then pour the rest of the coffee into the cup.

in ukraine, in large supermarkets (such as metro, amstor, etc.), encountered counterfeit ground coffee, in particular Lavazza. Add tobacco. Under no circumstances will the coffee smell of tobacco. (correct me if I'm wrong) The check is simple - take a pinch of ground coffee and rub your fingers. If tobacco was added, the smell will remain on the fingers. A more belated check is the smell of "used" coffee. Ukrainian forgeries still smoke with tobacco. but the foam is large and thick ...

the second type of counterfeit, but with grains, is the use of flavoring agents. buy the cheapest grains, fry with different aging times and pour over (soak, spray, ...) with different flavoring agents

From the category of anecdote - many began to grow their coffee trees on the windowsills (one of the processes, see coffeeettime. Ru - "Coffee from the windowsill"). Faced with such a dangerous counterfeit (see above) - I myself thought ...
