I use ground coffee in a vacuum

In some coffee houses, very rarely, I like boiled coffee, and from what I get at home, I like instant coffee more. Looks like my hands don't grow from there to coffee. Already I bought all sorts of Golds in grains and ground different ones, but all the dumpster comes out. I can’t drink it and pretend that I am using divine nectar. Maybe there is some secret?
Try to buy coffee in a specialized store and ask to grind it there (the "roughness" of the grinding depends on the model of the coffee machine) and never buy more than 200 gr. - coffee loses essential oils very quickly. Try mixing 2/3 Lavaz with 1/3 Bavarian chocolate in a cone (delicious for me). Also look at the coffee maker to adjust the coffee strength - maybe you have a mode set that does not suit you very much. Also, the quality of coffee depends on the water you pour. Bottled water works best. And I want to remind you, excuse me, that the coffee machine must be periodically rinsed from scale (this is very important), the taste and strength of the coffee also depends a lot on this.

By the way, by the way, what I liked best was the weighted coffee varieties, which were ground right in the store "into the dust". There was at least some brown foam on the surface, but at home it turns out a bit large in the coffee grinder, and I have to experiment with tastes, but I'm lazy, but every morning I drink with cream, and today Lavazza Oro is over

And I could not make friends with loose varieties. For an espresso machine, I buy a variety of Espresso Elite, already ground and packaged in vacuum cans (after many tastings I settled on it, it suits the grinding quality and taste) For macchiato I use it. And for Turkish coffee, I prefer to grind Arabica beans manual(!) into the dust.
By the way, speaking of manual coffee grinders: I can't stand those in which ground coffee is poured into a drawer. These are not coffee grinders, but simply decorative gadgets for the kitchen.

I also use ground coffee in a vacuum.
Every day I got hooked on Davydoff (Chibo concern) in light cream packaging (in dark red, less aromatic, more invigorating).
For the holidays, there is a treasured jar of ILLY (espresso) and Lavatsa Ora.
This summer, several packs of coffee were bought in Luxembourg (the German company Movenpick is unknown to anyone in Russia). So delicious that fans of instant coffee start drinking only it.

Once my son brought me from Strasbourg several vacuum kilogram packs of ground espresso and coffee filter cafe. It was such brown packaging and it looked like "Mason du kafe" written on them. The coffee was amazing, we loved it. But since then I can not find such coffee anywhere, well, at least get ready and go to France for it

I also use these banks. But my lids of these cans break right after the second opening-closing. Recently, lovely stainless steel cans appeared in the local super, for coffee it cost only 6-7 shekels
Coffee. Additives (types, varieties, producers)
Now I pour and store coffee in a metal can, well, and in the fridge, of course, there were even larger cans with the words "biscuits" or something like that, in short, for cookies (Americans are so customary), I also bought it (this one is no longer cheap - 30 nis) and now I store Vysotsky tea in it, pour a large package of tea bags into it - convenient and aesthetically pleasing

For some reason, they don't break with me ...
By the way, if you buy Illy espresso coffee, then there are cans with metal, silicone-backed lids, in which it is quite possible to store coffee or tea later. Unfortunately, Illy coffee itself did not cause much delight in me, however, like Lavazza and Segafredo and Davidof. I liked Elite much more.

I really love coffee (I don't have a coffee maker yet) I drink regular instant store. how many different jars of coffee (of different companies) from inexpensive to very expensive I had .. there was a feeling that it was not that .... not real coffee tasted. Maybe you really need to make coffee yourself? Then how to define high-quality coffee from beans and how to prepare it yourself at home? And what taste of coffee do you value? What should be tasty and high-quality coffee?

Dear, instant coffee is not coffee at all, but flavored paint for drinking ... Excuse me, but you can't throw out words from a song. And you can use this chemical product, at best, by painting it with milk in order to at least slightly reduce the chemical taste of this powder.

I noticed that all these Italian, Finnish, etc. varieties of coffee, even four cups, do not invigorate.
As soon as you drink a cup or two of Cuban coffee (a person who drank coffee from Angola said the same about that coffee), a sparkle appears in the eyes and there is no question of any sleepiness.
It feels like communists, unlike capitalists, don't steal caffeine from beans

In general, if you find outYuthat someone of my friends is going to Cuba, so I invariably ask him to bring a package of Cubita strong roast (I like these more).

This is not the point. There are just 2 BASIC coffee varieties (everything else is hybrids and regional characteristics of the plantation climate).
There is ARABICA - aromatic and with a mild taste. And there is ROBUSTA - the main carrier of caffeine, low-aromatic, tart and bitter.
Robusto is loved to grow in Latin America. Most companies (and not only in Europe) produce blended mixtures in addition to pure Arabica or Robusta. The Saeko company, for example, in the line of coffee varieties for coffee machines has such a ratio of two varieties: 100% Arabica, 95% Arabica + 5% Robusta, 90% Arabica + 10% Robusta, etc.
I completely forgot. The coffee roasting method interferes with the varieties and blends. Venetian (the strongest, almost black in color, seems to strongly release caffeine), Viennese, French and many others.

It is a pity that manufacturers rarely write the varietal composition and type of coffee roasting. And then you have to travel around the world for personal taste.

"Cubita is a coffee cultivated in the mountains of eastern Cuba. This blend is made up of the best varieties of Cuban arabica Extra Turguino and Arabica Serano Washed wet processed from the forested mountainous regions of the Sierra Maestra and Sierra del Rosario.

These varieties correspond in quality to the best world samples. Arabica.

The assortment of coffee beans (two positions) and ground coffee:
Strong to medium roast Cubita. 100% Arabica beans. "

Something like this
They brought me both medium-fried and highly-fried.
In both cases, the caffeine was ok.

Qubita is not the most expensive Cuban variety, if anything.
There are varieties that represent baboutthe greatest interest for gourmets.
But for six years now I have been hers, even if not the most expensive, but with an optimal price / quality ratio

My friend, of a rather impressive physique (height 2m 15 cm and will be wider than me), drank 4 cups kindly offered by me and, having left home, could not fall asleep. Having nothing to do, I cut circles around the night area, taking the dog
Before that, he self-confidently claimed that coffee did not work on him.

A few tips for coffee lovers:
1. Use raw soft water. Avoid using hard, chlorinated water. As a last resort, take boiled chilled water. (although there are recipes for coffee with mineral water)
2. Observe the recommended ratios of coffee and water.
3. Do not speed up the coffee brewing process by using hot water, so that the slow process will release the coffee essential oils to the fullest.
4. Do not press (hard) the coffee in the coffee maker.
5. Serve freshly prepared coffee very hot to enjoy the aroma and flavor of the essential oils of your choice. (some rinse the cup with boiling water, and only then pour coffee into it)
6. Keep your coffee maker clean. Wash by rinsing it with boiling water, without the use of detergents and soap. It is important to regularly clean the filter (metal) with a natural animal bristle brush.

On the first day of winter, we bought a bread maker. She baked the first bread. No pancake! Now I am happy to browse the topics, trying to learn the truth, to realize the typical mistakes of beginners ...
In gratitude, accept the link to the coffee making workshop. Good luck everyone!

Yana
Ulitka, thanks. But in order to arrange coffee so beautifully, you first need to buy a coffee maker. And probably the first time such beauty will not work. A professional is needed here.

I carefully read all the posts. I'll tell you about my experience, can I? I'm a coffee drinker. With great experience. She started, like many Russians, with Indian instant.Remember 6 p. was the jar worth? Seemed to be divine.
About 8 years ago we bought a drip coffee maker. Began to brew in it. It immediately became clear that the taste is very, very dependent on the type and quality of coffee. For myself, I realized that what our "producers" scatter - you can't drink. How many have not tried - Peter the First, the coffee house on shares, etc. - not tasty. Coffee of different sizes, colors and roasts. Therefore, we try to buy coffee from well-known brands.
2 years ago, my husband gave me a Saeco-magic espresso coffee maker on March 8. Here I realized that what we had been drinking before was not coffee at all ... it takes a place in the kitchen, of course, but I don't feel sorry for this place.
Soluble now I can not drink at all. No. Neither cheap nor expensive.
I buy coffee only in beans. And grind before use. I use ground for a maximum of 2-3 days. Now comes the fun part. To make a good drink in an espresso coffee maker, you definitely need a MILLING coffee grinder. We have it electric, Brown. She has 14 degrees of grind. We select our own grind for each type of coffee. Coffee for such machines needs a strong roast. Together with the coffee maker, we were presented with Paulig Espresso coffee. The packaging indicates the degree of roast - 4 out of 5. Took with the 3rd - not that. Coffee ground into dust is not at all suitable. It should be somewhat larger.
We wanted to buy a real coffee machine, but it is too big and expensive.
And further. Still, coffee machines need to be bought from coffee machine manufacturers. Like Saeco, Jura. They are not cheap, but these companies have been producing coffee machines for a long time and successfully. This is exclusively my opinion. But it seems to me that firms that produce everything and a lot simply cannot do everything well. Mediocre, inexpensive, large assortment.

And further. The taste of coffee is greatly influenced by the mood in which you prepare it. Smile more often. Enjoy cooking!

shade if it's not a secret what kind of coffee you prefer.

Peace be with you bakers!
answer for tanya1962 and useful information for all coffee lovers
of course, not all types of coffee are from those that I like to eat in others
cities and so:
Ethiopian Harar is an Ethiopian wild unogo wine flavor
as well as lemon and chocolate
Blawan is a Jamaican bitter chocolate aftertaste depending on
from roasting an even light shade of mushrooms
Kenya AA Ruiruiru is Kenyan with sour taste and berry tone
Kimel A 4689 is from New Guinea, he has some kind of rich coffee
taste with a fruity tinge, although it is very rarely on sale
Peru organic Norte is Peruvian with a cinnamon flavor but hard
please took it several times and always different sourness
Yemen Mokha is from Yemen, by the way, almost all the coffee that is brought from there is called mocha, it is considered the best in the world and the taste is not
transferred there and cheese and fruits and wine and such woody shorter
Kaif
these are the sorts of coffee that I ask friends to bring from abroad
if you can't buy it in Moscow
but in general there are only two types of coffee tree this
Arabian coffee (C. arabica)
Congolese coffee (C. robusta)
still there is Liberica, but it is very good, it gives a crop, it does not
therefore, it is not considered on an industrial scale
and the most expensive coffee in the world is
Kopi Luwak somewhere around 400 bucks per kilo he's from Sumatra
Luwak is such an animal that eats coffee beans, and the most ripe ones, but it does not digest everything, and those beans that come out naturally are collected and sold by the locals-
chemists have tried to replicate the flavor to no avail!

shade thanks for the information, I know her, I was just wondering your preference for a type of coffee for a Turk. I also love Yemeni, Ethiopian, and recently I also buy Cuban, but it really does not always happen. Kopi Luwak something I do not want to try all the same confuses its origin.

Yana, Alexandra,I usually order three types of coffee: Ristretto, Arpeggio, Roma... These are the three strongest varieties. I am going to make the next order in a month and a half: while I still have many capsules of these three varieties in stock.Next time I will definitely order 4 varieties: three proven and Arabica... I have always loved Arabica coffee when I lived in Kiev - I bought only this sort of coffee. I hope Nespressovskaya Arabica will not disappoint me with either the strength of the drink or the taste. As soon as I order and receive the order (delivery takes place within two days), I will definitely unsubscribe here

Caprice, Thank you!
The search for coffee was not crowned with particular success, the choice is not very good, I bought Pauling green to test (the rest of the packs from other manufacturers are 1 kg each, I'm afraid to take it, I suddenly won't like it). And they treated me to a black lily (flavored, in the bag such a smell was delicious, but cooked, everything disappeared, which was to be expected. I am not a supporter of aromatization). I've tasted it already. The coffee is old, Pauling is generally thrown away in November ... And there is foam, persistent, but not reddish-brown, lighter, without breaks, 3 mm, not higher. The taste is different. We will try. You won't be able to buy freshly roasted coffee - ordering coffee in a store is rubbish. 20 days by rail, no less, the load is in progress. And again, in our city they sell only coffee of the lowest quality, and they don't bring it expensive, no one will buy it (the seller said).
I am not discouraged, coffee can be ordered to friends in another city, for example, in Khabarovsk. In the meantime, I will learn from what I have.
Caprice
Eh! And I would like the good old Arabica, without any flavorings ...

I really like Cellini Prestige. In METRO it is sold in 500 gram packs. But everyone has different tastes, you should buy different things in small packages and choose the best one for your taste
Uncle Sam
Thank you for your congratulations!
And the best for the coffee maker was ILLY coffee.

Alexandra
Uncle Sam,

Happy New Year and a successful purchase

What other coffees has Illy been compared to?

I didn't go. Bitter for me.
Red lavazza, or even more interesting, half and half with Cellini Prestige - we stopped there.
Uncle Sam
Compared ILLY (with a silver lid) with grades (brands):
Davydof (light cream pack),
Lavazza (the golden pack is too "Venetian" roast for me, it is more interesting in a black can),
Meinl (just good coffee),
a couple more different brands (I did not remember the name). =)
Alexandra
Uncle Sam,

Of the varieties you mentioned, I tried only both lavazza, both in gold and in black packs - not delighted, really from them.
I would venture to once again draw your attention to the red pack of lavazza, of many, many varieties, including collectible ones, I liked this coffee for a carob coffee maker the most.
Like Illy, a blend of Arabica and Robusta, but with a softer taste.

Lavazza in a red pack

Alexandra, I trust your taste as my own. It so happened that I have not tried this variety yet, well, and decided to join the "classic coffee". I bought it at the Metro. With pleasant anticipation, I opened the pack and then ... she was disappointed. Like a candy wrapper instead of candy was slipped to a child on New Year's Eve Immediately alerted by the lack of a pleasant coffee smell, as usual from a freshly opened pack. Further more. Not coffee, but a burda came out, without strength, taste and the slightest hint of aroma ... At this point I began to examine the beans themselves - of different sizes and colors, with an admixture of fragments and hollow beans ...

Well, how long can this go on? Well, how long will a counterfeit as an original product be slipped to our people at every step?
Just look at what was inside. Does IT really have the right to be called Italian COFFEE ???

was not too lazy. I went in my hearts to write a complaint for the goods. The more we silently swallow, the larger portions of all sorts of rubbish we will continue to slip. So at first they tried to convince me that this coffee should be exactly like that, but they cooled down very quickly when they heard about an independent examination that would be able to distinguish between different types of coffee. But then they hinted that I came to them with a printed pack ... and there are different buyers ... sometimes the contents are substituted. Then I was completely distraught and offered to go to the department and print any other of the same pack in front of their eyes ... They are now sending a complaint to their management, tomorrow there will be an answer.
I have a request - let me have a look at the real beans of this coffee. Although I am so sure that good coffee has no right to look and taste like that.

Still, it would be useful ... It's all over the place. I have no idea where people in Ukraine and in Odessa in particular buy good coffee. I can't live without good coffee. My morning always starts with 3-4 cups. Then it rarely happens to drink during the day, but in the morning it is sacred. About two years ago, good coffee began to die out en masse. From it only the familiar packaging remained, and the contents changed their taste in a terrifying way. Wherever I bought it - in various retail chains, in markets, and in coffee shops ... everything is not the same ... as a constant pursuit of an elusive ghost.
Hope for the red Lavazzu flashed here, no, again deception.

Zest, we buy coffee in the House, we never had any problems. In the Metro, it happened to take Blaser Italia, also not bad. Oddly enough, they send me coffee from Italy, which I don't like at all. It may, of course, be a matter of taste, but the type of coffee beans is quite objective.

Wow, the Metro administration called for the proceedings a representative of the company - the supplier of the ill-fated coffee. The young man politely asked what exactly I was not satisfied with in this product. Already competently she explained to him how the seeds of the original Lavazza should look, and the admixtures of fragments and empty shells spoke for themselves. Immediately agreed that the original coffee should not look like that. They promised to take measures and figure it out further ... Uh-huh ... it seems like Italians put low-quality goods in packs ... it's normal to Russia, and we get garbage ... Still, it's very interesting at what stage in packs from Lavazza gets an outright falsification?

Hmm ... Actually, looseOh coffee is often really better. Although, about green beans - very doubtful. In addition, you don't know how they were processed, it is difficult to determine the type, and, most importantly, at home it is difficult to roast this coffee so that the roast is uniform.

I smelled loose coffee, tried it on my teeth ... somehow I still haven't found one that I would like to drink constantly ... In addition, there are basically all sorts of flavored varieties, and for my taste - coffee should be with a natural taste and aroma , without additional enhancers.
And I love coffee more as a consumer ... I am not able to roast myself, still somehow conjure ... in the morning with my eyes almost closed I go to the coffee maker or coffee machine (depending on what I want at the moment), and they are already involved in the whole process.

Yes, this is what I mainly use ... Soluble Carte Noir (for fans of soluble) is decent and there is creepy, because they have different numbers on the barcodes and different packaging shades. Maybe the beans are the same nonsense and I was just lucky so far? I looked at the barcode on the pack - it ends at 4018.
