: nyam: When for a long time (it’s even scary to remember), when we had nothing, spent most of our lives in queues and cooked from what we managed to get or grab, from another trip to the store, my mother came home with a recipe for a pie or cake (I’m now even at a loss how to correctly name it). She modernized it a little and the result was a delicious treat, which I still make remembering those distant years of childhood.
So we go to the store and buy a bag of ordinary shortbread cake.
Recipe: 1 package of shortcrust cake, 250 g of butter (or margarine), 0.5 kg of dietary cottage cheese (I do it with regular cottage cheese, since not all stores now have cottage cheese in a tube), 2 eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, a small pinch of salt.
We make a filling or a layer - beat the eggs with sugar and add cottage cheese, do not forget the vanilla.
Now we take a shape, any round or square and lay out the products in layers
1st layer into cubes or pieces, cut 125 g butter
2nd layer 1/3 part shortcrust cake (dry powder)
3rd layer 1/2 part of curd mass
4th layer 1/3 part shortcrust cake (dry powder)
5th layer 1/2 part of the curd mass
6th layer 1/3 part shortcrust cake (dry powder)
7th layer 125 g butter cut into slices and spread over the surface.
All. Now we put in the oven, the temperature is 190 degrees and bake until tender, waiting for the surface of the cake to turn golden. I like to add cherries (infused in cognac), raisins to the curd mass, or pour a little raspberry syrup on top, in short, what the soul wants at this moment, and you yourself see. I also sometimes quickly make one layer of curd.
Try it, I hope you enjoy it. Enjoy your tea!
