you did everything right - the first mixture and 1.5 tablespoons of cinnamon and cloves to it (total - 3 tablespoons of spices for a mixture of dried fruits 1kg400g). bitter is normal. then the dough will be added, everything will be baked, there will be no bitterness

and I wanted to add more flavors, so I put in 1 - 1.5 tsp. all the spices mentioned above. in total, I got just 3 tablespoons of spices, as required by the recipe

you have already put in your limit of spices, you should not add more. the original recipe spoke specifically about cinnamon and cloves, and a mixture of different ones is already my improvisation based on a different filling
