The presence of water is not important to me. I just want slices of lemons to float in orange syrup, but I haven't decided on slices of carrots yet ...
Let me try, I wonder, well ... Bring the recipe, and I'll adjust the experimental base for you!

I made a mistake, I have a lot of water in my recipe ... Here, catch:
JAM CARROT-LEMON
Ingredients:
1 kg of carrots
1 kg of lemons
2 kg sugar
vanilla to taste

Preparation:
Peel the carrots. Cut the lemons into pieces, remove the seeds, do not remove the peel. Skip carrots and lemons through a meat grinder, add 2 kg of sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 40 minutes. Add vanillin at the end of cooking. Arrange in jars, roll up.
Look what I came up with, you can chop the carrots in a blender or pass through a meat grinder. Then combine it in a saucepan with sliced slices of lemons, cover with sugar and leave overnight (to let the lemons juice). And then cook in several steps, with a stand until completely cooled. In my opinion, you should get what you want, namely slices of lemons in orange syrup. Or is it not at all what you dream of? If that, whistle, I'll bring in other options, by the way, I have a lot of "carrot-orange" options available.
By the way, you saw mine "CHERRY-CARROT JAM"? Here it was so liquid that you couldn't imagine it anymore, but delicious! Maybe experiment on the basis of this recipe?

Hairpin
Then let's build on your experience.
1. Carrots through a meat grinder ... well the juice will be lost ... maybe better on a combine? Well, like passed through a Soviet grater?
2. I don't want lemons through a meat grinder for sure. Better in slices. No peel.
3. Fall asleep with sugar overnight, and then boil four times with complete cooling.

Do you think it won't work out too much? How is your orange jam?
Scarecrow
I'm wondering if it all will burn? The finer you rub (like in mashed potatoes), the easier it is to be attached to everything.

And the density can be adjusted by the number of boils. You can stop after three.

Oh, I can't, oh delicious !! Peach with apricot ... Not cloying, such a bright wonderful taste. The whole jar in one sitting with her husband and gobbled up tasted ... Vita Fruit confiture makers from Tefal and Novital 1808A

Stores well in a cool basement. From autumn to the end of January it stood without incident. But when closing the jam, I always use the same technology: metal lids, cans "fried" and dry, pour the fire jam right away, turn it over on the lid and leave it to cool.

I didn’t understand, have you EVEN tried pumpkin or tried JAM from it?
P.S. And I have a jar of pumpkin-orange in my fridge, yummy ... though mine looks more like pumpkin-orange puree, thin, but tasty anyway, I "blended" it ...

I haven’t eaten a pumpkin at all ... no ... Maybe I should mix it with an orange one? For the first time?

Hairpin
So for a start, try this, it's never too late to mix ... but I love raw pumpkin ... just like that, without anything ... but in the form of jam I constantly mix it with something, I like it more, especially I like it in combination with dried apricots and lemon, the main thing is not to overdo it with sugar ...
In case you have a lot of pumpkins ...very tasty pumpkin turns out in a slow cooker, baked with lemon juice, well, you can add sugar to taste ... but raw still tastes best to me!

And I made pamela jam !!!

Here I will take a picture, post a photo and you will guess what it is !!!!!!!!!

Am I first here with pamelo jam?

And about the tangerines. Pakistani tangerines with seeds? And then I can not choose tangerines in the Platypus, so that they are pitted. Otherwise, I don't have tangerine jam ...

To say that there are a lot of seeds in Pakistani tangerines is to say nothing! Approximately 3-8 pieces for each slice are necessary, although tangerines taste like wow, I constantly order them in "Platypus" ...
Hairpin, I wanted to advise you tangerines, I went in, and right now there is such a choice, you can't really run away, only Spanish are available ...

So tell me which tamas to take, seedless shoby !!! Pakistani thrown out of the basket.

I have heaps of grape jam (just yesterday I went over stocks), as well as kiwi jam. Options are pomelo, oranges and tangerines. Or apple ...

I DO NOT KNOW!!!

Ninul, what are you? Pumpkin and throw it away, it's blasphemy! You can make so many delicious treats from it! And pumpkin jam is sooo tasty, if you respect the pumpkin itself, and if you don't like sweet pumpkin, then marinate it better, there will be a wonderful side dish-appetizer!

I give honestly pioneer, tonight 100 grams - and try it !!! I have a jar of pumpkin jam on the table.

I cooked strawberries. Did not like. I cooked it in two steps, with a low sugar content and with zhelix (pectin). The liquid crawled into the jam. Strawberry jam, so that the berries remain intact, should not be interfered with, only shaken. I naively hoped that it would work out, but it didn't work out. So it is completely liquid. Was upset.

Good nights
I read Temko and yesterday became the owner of a jam-making machine.
in the Eldorado was in a single copy.
to celebrate, grabbed without looking
the absence of a recipe book was found at home (this did not really upset, it is understandable)
but the lack of a button on the cover strained a little.
Although it works without a button and steam comes out normally.
Does the absence of this button threaten me with anything?
in eldorado they said that they could not find anything, it is necessary to contact the tefal service center.
But I somehow cannot understand its purpose.
at first I thought it was a bolt connecting the transparent part of the lid with a small opaque one.
but, after reading the instructions (and I have some kind of truncated instruction, they lost something) I decided that it was a button for releasing steam.
Owners of confiture, can you please tell me how critical is the absence of this bolt button ??

Quote: mouse norushka

And for how much it was bought in Eldorado, if not a secret?
4999 RUB
Basja
olpe I deliberately climbed into the closet, to see, according to my observations, this button plays the role of a handle on the lid, so I understand there is no this smallest detail? Do you have one more detail, like a colander, also burgundy, it is like a double boiler, maybe in this case this button plays a role, but I did not use this double boiler. if you need a book, write, at work I will scan it and send it to your mail.
olpe
Basja, thank you very much for your answer. yes, there is no smallest detail.
I thought this button plays the role of a bolt to connect the transparent part of the lid with the burgundy little one.
I wanted to try to order this bolt in the service center
but now I only use a transparent lid, without a burgundy middle and everything is fine. and since you say that this is just a pen, then I will not order it.
there is a colander until I use it.

I do not have a recipe book, the instructions were printed in the Eldorado (the one on a couple of sheets)

if you have the opportunity to send the book, it would be great.
Basja
olpe is now already next week.

by typing, I realized that the modes in the jam maker differ in heating. and how do they go, from P1 the weakest, and P6 the strongest?
I have not understood this moment yet

and for some reason the time does not match either.
set 5 minutes, ticked by the clock, it turned out actually 9 minutes.

strawberry jam turned out awesome

orange jam first time turned out great
then I decided to try to cook on another mode, turned into caramel

boiled condensed milk
at first it seemed that some kind of cottage cheese was obtained, but after 30 the mass became homogeneous. here it would be and turn it off, I waited for the squeak. in the end something like candy

I'll try again today
we have condensed milk from goat milk

while my impressions:
a jam maker with small children is an irreplaceable thing.

now I'll try it as a juicer.
I saw a review here, it's just a pity, they didn't write in what mode

Scarecrow
It counts down the time from the moment of boiling (from a certain degree of heating of the food), so the real time will be longer than the set one.

It never really matches! I always put on 20 minutes and keep an eye on. Sometimes the timer has not moved yet, but is already boiling. And sometimes - the timer has already counted for 10 minutes, but does not boil ... But for me it does not matter!

If my memory serves me, last year one of the girls wrote that they (Vita Fruit) were taken out of production ... If only some old unsold stocks remained somewhere ... And I have lately something I rarely get it ... I've played enough ...
Hairpin
First someone wrote, and then me. Just because they were removed on Tefal's website ... That is, on the site - Tefal does not have such devices ...
Girulka
Ay-ay-ay !!! did not make it! all! now I will not be happy! no, well, this is necessary - not only were they removed, so we did not sell them at all!
And I had such grandiose plans for her! and now you have to buy a kenwood chef combiner - 40 (it seems), the newest model that bakes and cooks, in short, with a multicooker at once! (I think it will completely replace this device)
I need to make my husband happy
Hairpin
Fat!
I use this jam all the time. I just drink tea with jam, that's why I brew it constantly. It turns out easy. I fell asleep fruit with sugar in the evening, in the morning I start it before boiling, then again in the evening ... well, in short, 3-4 times with complete cooling. But it seems to me that I have been playing it alone for the third year already ...
There are several stocks.
1. If you set the boil on the timer for 2 minutes, then anything will happen, but not two. Most often, boiling is already underway by the timer, but not in reality. It also happens vice versa. So the timer has a decent margin of error. Approximately plus / minus ten minutes.
2. Not all fruits produce juice. I don't like topping up water. So it often happens, when I launch it for the first time, the blades cannot turn ... But I and the currency are two kilos ... Against the instructions ... There is no more than one kilogram.
3. There is aluminum. That is, you cannot wash in the PM. The bottom turns black. But I wash ... I think all over how it will end ...

And I wrote all this so that ... if you haven't changed your mind ... Go to a flea market. Surely someone from the members of the forum has it, and only takes a place ... Maybe they will give it to you for 30-50% of the price ... It then cost about 6,000 rubles ... And it's not a fact that she has You will get accustomed ... maybe in a couple of months you will also throw it on the mezzanine ...
Girulka
Hairpin, what you listed - these are such trifles, compared to the main advantage - to cook WITH MIXING!
I know for sure I have such a thing to lie and gather dust, I won't! and if you get dusty sometimes it doesn't matter - a 12-meter balcony with 4 wardrobes at your disposal!
About the flea market thank you - we will look!

Girls, did anyone here cook cherry jam with a low sugar content in a jam fryer? In the recipe book attached to the confiture jar there is a recipe for sweet cherry jam, but sweet cherries are easily replaced with cherries ... I'm wondering if this jam is liquid in the jelly or how?
Hairpin
My lid has fallen apart ... Well, not really, it's just that pimp for which you can hold the lid ... some screw has fallen off ... Now I remove the lid with both hands at the edges ...
Um ... looks like I drove her ...

When I ask if no one has seen on sale separate lids from the VitaFrut jam maker, I will not bother ... Otherwise, you will call Manka, a Manka... well, then it's clear ...
Eleanor
And did not call the service ??? If not, then they can order and will have to wait a long time, but it will come! Or directly write them a letter to the head office, in Russian, they will quickly find a translator there. To cry what is indispensable in our Russian economy and without a screw is now not life, but rather without a cover.
Hairpin
Eleanor, I ordered whisks for the mixer here ... 100% prepayment, but I was waiting ... YEAR !!! Although ... I have a service in the next house that orders ... I'll go and ask ... I also had a piece of plastic at the lid of the slowcooker ... Well, I'll wait a year ...
Eleanor
Well, I also think it's better to wait a year, but for sure, besides, the harvesting season is inevitably coming to an end, so far you will manage with tacks around the edges, and then you will be happy!
Moreover, you need a gadget for another device too!
Well, you and the ace in the kitchen! I have no words! Everything in your hands just burns! Thank you for writing about the screw, I'll strengthen it with some sealant!
Hairpin
Quote: Eleanor

Thank you for writing about the screw, I'll strengthen it with some sealant!

And I would not ... High temperature ... What if the glue at high temperature gives off something wrong? Or will it melt and drain where it doesn't need to?
Eleanor
well, this .... do you watch ads? there is a moment-bitumen and around the stove pipes .... and finally I don't really use it, so it should be enough for a long time, I recently threw out the master pilaf nafig, but the confiture was never for anything! She works at the dacha, because her mother periodically gets into a pose: I will not cook and salt anything, I ask, I do everything perfectly, and she immediately throws me off the stove at the very final moment and then tells everyone how she sculpted the blanks ! Here the confiture is very suitable for me in this case, because my mother has a technique that "is not a stove and not a microwave", it burns in her hands and does not touch it! Therefore, the marmalade is Foreva!
Hairpin, I ask you, tell me how you will order! Was it successful or not and what an approximate waiting period! OK?
