Ingredients

Pork neck
Mayonnaise
Garlic
Tomatoes
Cheese
Salt, pepper, spices

Cooking method

  • Take a piece of pork neck or carbonade, as you like. Cut it from above, BUT NOT TO THE END, into pieces of 1.5 cm. Spread the whole piece and all the cuts with a mixture of mayonnaise, garlic, salt, adjika or pepper and other seasonings to taste. Put a mug of tomato and a slice of cheese in each pocket. Put in an oven preheated to 180 grams and bake until tender. To prevent the structure from falling apart during baking, I passed long wooden skewers for barbecue through the entire piece on the sides. I removed them before serving.

Note

Recipe from the Eating at Home program forum.

I also know options when prunes or cheese and pineapples are put between the cuts. In general, with a fantasy, the "book" can be filled with different fillings.

I do this, BUT I make cuts on the CROSS, and ALONG the piece.
Then, when slicing and serving, it turns out beautifully.

And I make such a book from eggplant - I cut it lengthwise to the tail, fan it slightly apart, lay it with circles of onions, tomatoes and mozzarella - and bake it, sprinkle with salt, crushed garlic and herbs

I did that. Prunes and mustard with mayonnaise. It turns out delicious. Interestingly, my husband, who does not like meat with prunes, gave the go-ahead to this dish and said “very tasty”.

So it’s very tasty for me with prunes, but I’m not going to teach my husband to such a combination, so I rarely cook this option. Husband to change, or what ?!

This I just wrote "does not like". In fact, his attitude to this combination is CATEGORICAL. After finding this recipe and reading reviews from those who have already tried it (many wrote that they like it even if they don't like prunes with meat), I showed him the recipe. We discussed it. We cooked together. Mustard gives piquancy. And the prunes according to the recipe should be thrown away (), but, of course, it's a pity. Therefore, they ate everything together and ALL together. He liked this. Said "You can do it." By the way, you need to do
And I think it's not worth changing my husband. There are many recipes, but he is one

I didn't take the recipe Anastasia, but from the depths of the Internet (the fact that we also did this, I saw only when I was looking for where to put my meat) I liked the meat very much !!! Delicate, juicy and very unusual on the table!

Make cuts in a piece of pork (not reaching the end), about 1 cm thick.
Salt and pepper the pork (in the cuts too).
Put cheese, tomato, garlic in the cuts.
Wrap the pork in foil, put on a baking sheet, put in the oven. Bake at 180 degrees for an hour.

Delicious! (i.e. bon appetit!)

Anastasia, a wonderful book! We also read this one, very tasty, juicy and easy to perform. They took the pork apple instead of the neck, and took the cherry tomatoes out of the freezer.
