brook_ЯЗ,I wanted to insert a photo for persuasiveness, but nothing in any way. The kids are asleep, but they can't do it themselves.
I'm going to deal with Red. Also, mlyn, the ideal can not be achieved.

Good day! We bought a multicooker 530 before the new year, I hoped that at least 530s were without marriage. After reading the forums, I did not start self-cleaning, and I do not see the point in it, everything worked fine without it. Unfortunately, this did not save me from marriage. A couple of weeks ago, while cooking pilaf, steam did not go through the valve, but over the left shoulder, naturally the body was deformed. The valve has been installed correctly. We handed over the multicooker to the service, of course they made round eyes, they say the first case is like this and they tried to excuse themselves by saying that the body parts are a non-warranty case. In general, they accepted of course, I'm waiting for the result

Hello dear members of the forum! I'm new. Here, I decided to tell you my story with the Panasonic SR-TMZ 550 multicooker. I ordered it at the end of December 14 at E-Plaza, as a gift to my mother. We live together, Sakhalin region. They sent it very quickly,
on the 5th day was already with us. Here it must be said that Sakhalin residents are very sophisticated owners / users of Japanese household appliances, moreover, it is Japanese assembly, and they are well versed in it and even repair themselves without any service centers. It just so happened with us since the beginning of the nineties. Japan is only 40 kilometers from us, there is a regular sea ferry and airplanes, you can order any spare part if necessary. All equipment there is cheaper than in Russia and the quality is such that it lasts for 15-20 years, no jokes.
Now to the point. When we opened the box, there was no limit to delight. Cosmic Pipilac! Well, I washed the bowl, all the accessories and decided to wipe it wet
with a rag our beauty outside and inside. When I began to wipe the shadow, I noticed that it sways a little on the left side, as if it were not fixed. I thought it was okay. Then I turned it on to self-cleaning, as recommended in the manual. The water boiled very quickly and steam came out of the steam cap. But after a while, steam began to come out the same way on the left side from under the lid. I was shocked! I immediately turned it off and poured out the water. I began to think what to do, not to send her back to Moscow for 9 thousand kilometers, especially since the New Year is on the nose. Impossible to get upset, the first time this is with Japanese technology. As a result, I decided to disassemble, I have a rich experience here. I unscrewed all the screws in the bottom, removed the cover (bottom). The bottom is held on hooks in the spacer to the body.
And what did I see there ?! The device to tears is the simplest and some kind of squalid for such a price and such a brand. The body is inside without thermal insulation. The so-called 3-D heating, in this case, lateral, is just some kind of thermal heating wire (I don’t know what it’s exactly called), tied to the inner case and glued with aluminum tape around the circumference. Moving away from another shock (Star in Shock!), I moved my hand ten. It really turned out to be not completely bolted to the inner aluminum case. I tried to tighten the screw with a screwdriver - it does not work. It turned out that the hole in the tena cake, where the self-tapping screw is screwed, is not deep enough for this screw. That is, on the face of a manufacturing defect of aluminum casting tena. I thought at first to ask my dad to drill this hole a little deeper with a drill, and then I guessed to just put a washer of a suitable size on the screw, and put the washer between the tin and the inner aluminum body of the multicooker so that the ten would rise slightly upward and the bowl eventually touched the silicone seal of the lid.And lo and behold, everything was screwed on correctly and the ten pressed tightly against the inner case, thus lifting up about 2 mm from the left side. I didn't touch the second attachment of the shade. Then I assembled the multicooker and started the self-cleaning mode again. The process went through this time without any complaints, I even tried to cover the steam outlet with a silicone spatula to increase the pressure inside the bowl and check the tightness. No steam leaking from under the lid! As much as the scapula was thrown away by steam when the pressure increased, but the steam did not come out from under the cover.
So I renovated our multicooker! For people without technical and repair experience, I do not recommend trying to repair their own cartoon. But it is quite obvious that all "floating" multicooker has just such a ridiculous, annoying and nonsense reason for marriage. Eliminated in 15 minutes.
We have been using the multicooker every day for 1.5 months. There are no complaints about the technical quality. But some programs seemed to me not quite adequate, but this is my subjective opinion, you just need to adapt to them and understand the temperature algorithm of work. In general, I'm happy with the multicooker, except for its completely wild price. Excuse me, she doesn’t pull more than 100 bucks, and at the old rate. Now we are waiting for the appearance of spare bowls.
By the way, the bowl has a coating that is clearly not diamond fluoride, as stated by the manufacturer, and rather thin. Just a very high quality Teflon. I have a coating in my Panasonic SD-ZB2512 bread maker with diamond dust, almost black in color, it feels thick, and the diamond dust sparkles in the light.
And also, for your information: our serial number begins with the numbers 4081 ...
I wish you all success, Thank you for your attention!

Rafaella, impressive!

Please tell me what is the difference between the SR-TMZ550LTQ and SR-TMZ550 models? And how not to run into a marriage? The range of prices is very large and it is not clear whether this purchase is new or old.
sergN
Part three, today I exchanged it for the third time, I will note that the batch is September, but I did self-cleaning with a new bucket, while there are no problems, let's see what happens next.
Delait
Oh, can I have a photo of this bucket?
Zmeika
I searched the Internet, read about the new Panasonic multicooker, burst into tears and realized that this brand does not have and is not expected to be better than the one bought in 2006. I won't have a new multicooker. Hnyyyiiii Although it may be for the best. An old combat veteran of my kitchen can do everything you need
sergN
Delait, what's the point? , it is the same, only about 1.3 mm higher. But if you really need it on the weekend.
Delait
I wanted to compare how it differs from ours))
Roza_Irina
It has already been almost 5 months since my slow cooker. You can start smiling! Steam still poured out from under the lid.
Rituslya
Roza_Irina, and on which program did you notice?
Roza_Irina
I cooked potatoes in their uniforms. Steamed. The steam went on 38 minutes.

What are your plans now: return or replacement of the bowl?
Delait
well kapets, now I'm already nervous ...
Delait
Irina, what will you do?
sergN
And I will give a forecast, there is no lid defect? , then replacing the pan, only the time interval is not clear.
Roza_Irina
Drove her husband to the service center today. Accepted, told to call in a week. There is no deformation of the lid, we hope it will cost by replacing the pan. He warned the foreman that steam can deform the lid and so that it would not have to be replaced. On the lid, only slightly two small spots are visible, it seems like the color has changed the coating, but noticeable only when illuminated by a flashlight. I just turned it off in time. She started to "smoke" a little. I will definitely not hand over Panasonic. I really like literally all the programs in it. So, girls and boys, I'm not going to leave Temka for now.
sergN
Roza_Irina, You will call the Panasonic information center, describe the situation, and let them communicate with the service, you see, and the time interval will decrease
Roza_Irina
Sergei, we will wait a week. Then we will call. Why anger the masters ahead of time. Of course, I had to deal with the past Panasonic in a month. Then yes, the problem after the call was resolved pretty quickly. He is not my only assistant, no one will die of hunger.
sergN
Roza_Irina, You know better, but in my experience, "sometimes moving forward is the result of a kick from behind." The most important thing is that everything will be fine with the assistant, I already say this from my experience.
P.S.
Multicooker Panasonic SR-TMZ550 and SR-TMZ540
Rituslya
sergN,what a beautiful cake! Great!
Please tell me, how long did you bake the cakes?
Roza_Irina
Sergey, thank you so much for your support! Have you repaired Panasonic? I have forgotten something.
And a cake What a cake! More details ...
sergN
Roza_Irina, And look at my topic about 530?, And flip through a couple of pages, I have 530 - 550 - 550 (with a new pan), so I know what I'm talking about. And a cake from a recipe book, with little additions. A good recipe comes in handy, you can't spoil it. The second time we do, the first original, and this one, variations with alcohol impregnation
Roza_Irina
Sergey, yes, I read Temki regularly both here and on the multicooker. It's just that there are already so many marriage that I don't remember who was repaired. In Temko about 530 like you wrote that it is being repaired. And how I was repaired, I did not see an answer. I understand you just changed the saucepan? Or a whole multicooker?
sergN
You missed it, 530 - replacement, 550, a week without steam, and then I didn't keep track of buckwheat with meat, the defect of the lid is replacement, so now we have 550 on our farm with a release date of 09.14 with a new pan.
Roza_Irina
Sergei, I see. How long did the whole procedure take with the service center?
And I wanted to ask you as the owner of both multicooker: are the pots the same? or is it different coverage?
sergN
it's hard to say, at the first purchase at 530, the pan liked the color more, it was darker than at 550, but during operation, the coating began to peel off faster than at 550 (maybe I used this, although the time interval was one - a month +/- a couple of days)) but new the pot will be better (the difference between the two pots of 550 is visible to the naked eye), although I have not yet weighed a new one, I will come home from work to correct this mistake.
about the service, 530 - 17 days I lived in anticipation of the act, only after the call to Panas did the situation move, the next day I received the act, when I brought 550 two days later, I called back, clarified the situation - "we are waiting for the confirmation of the act", I call again in Panasonic - yes there is such an act, but the service did not provide all the documents, wait a couple of minutes, we will clarify, waited, two minutes later they said that they spoke to the service and they dropped the missing ones, in total - 5 days.
Roza_Irina
Sergey, thanks for the clarification! Hopefully the pot will be changed. I'm patiently waiting for Friday. Her husband imperceptibly marked it on the handle so that later they could see whether it was changed or not. And then I read on the site of the multicooker that in the SC of Russia, in general, they did something with handles, but the saucepan itself was not changed. As a result, the man's steam fell again.
sergN
It appears so, the weight of the new bowl (drum roll here) is 563 grams, and the old one, from the post Manna, 561 g - "so that's it, Mikhalych", I wonder, and whoever has a caliper and an old pan, I would now compare the thickness of the pan rim, so to speak, I will conduct a scientific experiment.
Regarding the handle (post on the multicooker), I do not quite agree, I even took them off on my 530, the effect is ZERO.
Roza_Irina
Sergey, but the girls from the multicooker site tried a pan without handles, and did not float from previous models. I was even advised to buy. But the cost is now exactly half of the multicooker. Therefore, for now, I decided to "play" with the SC once the multicooker is under warranty.
From the old saucepan, they only removed its height with a caliper, they did not think of a rim.
Have you carried out self-cleaning tests? Now everything is fine? So much excitement with this slow cooker.
sergN
Here you have pleased me, but what is the measured height? (since there is a barbell, I will measure mine too). Of course I did it (twice in a row), moreover, I blocked the valve with a sheet of paper, while everything is 5+, about the pots from previous models, their height is needed with at least one character after the comma, I have a feeling (new pan) that, in addition to the height, it has changed the width of the side itself.
And why worry, everything will be fine, the software part of Panasonic is licked, so in this regard, whatever they tell me, Panas rules, and everyone has jambs.
Roza_Irina
The height of the previous pans is not present. It is necessary to go to other Temki Panasik and ask. And the one that passed had a height of 142.6 mm
And Panasonic's programs are really at their best. I have it for the third time, I am constantly chasing their new products, getting rid of the previous models. So until they release something new, I will not part with this model. I will fight the SC.
By the way, I put a stainless steel redmond saucepan here, it is 145mm high, then at high temperatures (such as steaming) steam came out from under the lid slightly. So the pot, in theory, should be lower than the Redmond one and higher than the old one. Such an arithmetic mean.
Ofeliya
Tell me about Self-Cleaning. How much water to pour?
sergN
Well here are my results: height 143.65 mm; the width of the side is 12.6 mm, so you guessed it Irina.
Ofeliya, the instructions say up to half of the measuring scale.
People try on somebody's side width on an old saucepan to sum it up.
Ofeliya
Quote: sergN
Ofeliya, the instructions say half the scale.
that is, the floor of the pan? .. I read the instructions, but did not understand anything. Why pour water on the floor of a pot? How long will the regime work? By time or until everything boils away? Something I'm completely dull ...
Roza_Irina
Olya, someone turned on the Self-cleaning mode, like boiling water for 40 minutes. But my steam still went on the Steam cooking mode. Maybe because it took a long time to cook. When I opened the multicooker before, I noticed that on intensive modes the steam inside the lid was outside the sealing gum, but did not climb out. And then once and that's it!
Sergei, thank you for freezing the bowl. Who would have thought that 1mm could be life-changing for an entire multicooker.
Ofeliya
A couple of days ago I cooked steam cutlets for 40 minutes. Yesterday I poured in 0.5 liters of water and turned on Self-Cleaning. After 40 minutes, the water boiled away. The couple was gone. So that I have to cook for such a long time, to check everything again? .. And then the warranty time is running out, but the steam is not.
Roza_Irina
Olya, you are glad that there is no couple.
And you immediately open the lid and see if moisture has come out of the sealing gum? That's where it started for me. It was on the left side and in front of the castle.
Ofeliya
So. Opened the lid several times. I don't see anything suspicious. Everything is dry.
I'm glad that there are no problems. The main thing is that they do not come out after the end of the warranty period. Since these models are so hovering, then mine may one day get puffed.
Roza_Irina
Olya, and you still measure the height of the bowl. I laid out the size of the old, and Sergei new. There is a difference of 1mm and it turns out to be fateful.
They called the SC, recognized the marriage. It is not known when and whether there will be bowls. We have agreed to the conclusion of the write-off. They called the store, they said that the party had arrived new, tested in the SC, not floating. Now we will wait when they issue an act for the cancellation, I understand that the SC gave a request to Panasonic.
And what is most interesting in the SC there are spare bowls for sale, but not for replacement. What is it called? After all, it is easier and faster to replace the bowl than to deal with shipping with the store. Moreover, my lid was not deformed.
Ofeliya
If I measured it correctly, then my bowl height is 143.
Roza_Irina
Did you measure with a barbell? And then the size turned out to be in the middle between the old and new bowls.
Olya, maybe don't bother? Just run it on intense modes. After all, half a year of warranty. And suddenly not a marriage.
Ofeliya
I don't have a barbell. Measured with a tape measure.
Yes, I don’t bother, I just want to load it with "steam" modes as much as possible. Delicacies I will cook in another.
sergN

We have agreed to the conclusion of the write-off
Well, now you will have a guarantee from March, but now a call to Panas is definitely important, so that the process does not drag out.
Roza_Irina
We decided to wait 1-2 days, if we will make a call. I don't want to get angry ahead of time. There is something to cook in.
Sergey, will there be a guarantee from March for sure? As far as I know, the warranty is given from the date of sale, not replacement of the product and is extended for the period of being under repair. If you make a replacement through a refund and purchase a new one, then yes.
sergN
And where does it go, you will receive a new device with filling in a new warranty card, the old one goes away in a set of documents for cancellation. The store should offer you money or a cartoon, so you will receive a new unit with a new warranty date.
Roza_Irina
Thank you, Sergey! : Friends: I hope so.
andry
So I finally waited for the replacement of my MV - a little over a month. I got to the deformation of the lid, so replacing only the bowl was not enough, they completely replaced the MV
Roza_Irina
And we received a call from the SC, tomorrow my husband will go to pick up the conclusion on replacing the multicooker. Although the lid is not deformed, there are no replacement pans.
