Girls! I want to report: at last, something was coiled up with the help of Mulinex, which was launched thanks to the Forum. I never thought that there the lock is so difficult to snap into place. On the smallest cone, I cut young zucchini and carrots. I put it in a glass saucepan, salted it and poured a little boiling water. I put it in the micra, then took it out, mixed it, even tried it. But she foolishly turned on one more cycle, and then left it in the micra. But in vain! Overexposed. The vegetables are too soft. It was necessary to take it out after the first cycle. But in principle, a very light and pleasant side dish for a turkey. I also made a salad from a steamed cucumber. The cucumber was long, the spirals had to be cut. I would like to have a grater for this spiralizer, which gives out thinner spirals. I wonder if my dream is realizable? In short, for the money that I paid, the toy is quite cuteSpiral chopper (slicer, spiralizer) for cutting vegetables and fruitsSpiral chopper (slicer, spiralizer) for cutting vegetables and fruits

Just made a salad (a lot). The whole zucchini was spiral, then I cut the spirals by hand. I cut the carrots and daikon lengthwise to the core, and we got cool short spirals. Daikon poured boiling water over it, kept it for 5 minutes, drained it, washed it with cold boiled water. White cabbage was chopped by hand. Carrots, zucchini, cabbage scrolled in a micra, all separately, the carrots withstood longer. I chopped the onion by hand, poured it with boiling water for a couple of minutes, washed it with cold water. Salted, pickled in lemon juice. In a bowl I mixed apple cider vinegar, linseed oil, oil, unrefined sunflower.
The vegetables cooled down, mixed everything in a bowl, added seasoning for Korean carrots, salt, ground black peppercorns and coriander (the flavor is crazy),
added liquid seasoning.
You can eat the salad right away, put the rest in a vacuum container, vacuum it, it costs a long time. It tastes better every time you open it.
I didn't add soy sauce this time, so the vegetables look more beautiful. Those interested can pour over the salad before use.

Oroma-Olga, glad I liked the machine!

francevna-Alla, , Thank you !
You have to try this combination!

francevna-Alla, I also do this with respect to zucchini (cucumbers),
although I do not cut through to the core.

Alla, how many minutes and at what power?
Ksyusha, I have a "vegetables" program in the micron, choose the weight, put the carrots 500gr - 5'50
Zucchini for 4 min.
For dinner we ate salad, crispy vegetables, light, do not look boiled, the taste is pleasant. If I had not cooked myself, I would not have guessed what the salad was made of. Daikon is not detectable by taste, there is not even a smell from onions.

More often I turn it on at full power, I have 1000, I focus on the weight and hardness of the vegetable.

afnsvjul-Julia, I have no photos, but you can just cut the carrot along (sideways) to its tip with the tip of a knife to a depth of 0.5 - 1 cm, depending on the thickness of the carrot.

And sometimes I do it like this (I've already shared it):

Girls, please tell me if Kenwood has angel hair and what code? Thank you.

Showed a comparison of 2x2 and 2x4 on a carrot once.

Spiral chopper (slicer, spiralizer) for cutting vegetables and fruits

It's not angel hair (Kenwood doesn't have one). But also not as wide as in your photo. Maybe the carrots got up somehow at an angle, what cut it so?

Angel hair is very thin, probably 1x1
leostrog
On the box with the "Angel Hair" disc for VB it is written -2 mm .. so the cutting is exactly the same as on the left photo.
Today I was not too lazy - for the experiment I coiled 4 beets on this very "Angel Hair". mixed impressions.

leostrog
Today I used an Angel hair disc (2 mm) on VB - a paste of rutabagas and regular pumpkin.
The result did not impress me very much:
The pumpkin did not cut through to the end into individual pasta (seen in the picture) and quite a few shapeless pieces remained in the bowl.
The rutabaga turned out better, but almost half of each rutabaga remained unmilled.
Then I blanched the pasta in boiling water with lemon juice (at first I threw the rutabaga and after boiling added the pumpkin as a more tender one), then I filtered it. I will add as an unsalted and low-calorie filler to tuna salad. ryukvenny pasta kept its length. but the pumpkin broke into small sticks.
By the way, yesterday in our m-not for the first time I saw already a "paste" of beets and carrots. ready to cook.

leostrog, I concluded that the pumpkin (I take only batternat) on the spiralizer is only raw. There was a sample like yours - it also broke and tasted completely inexpressive.

It's a shock. Very sorry
leostrog
Well. I console myself that it is impossible to buy the perfect device that suits you in all respects. Clear . that VB is incomparably more productive. than Bella (now I am looking for her "warm home").
There is a bag in the freezer. in which I put all the "butts" from the steamed vegetables (do not throw away the good!).
I have the most "popular" vegetables are beets. carrots and kohlrabi. Zucchini is extremely rare, and I don't eat cucumbers at all (I can't stand raw vegetables).
Therefore, attachments for thin pasta are very relevant to me.
Last weekend, the beets did pretty well. I blanched it in water with wine vinegar and salt, but salted it. therefore froze for future use. Today I made borscht on this beet (I pre-cut it into smaller pieces with scissors) - it turned out very well.

Joining your ranks - Kenwood just arrived, detached. In the pre-New Year's troubles, there is really no time to test ((, but on the way I spilled 2 carrots for lunch by 4 mm (while they were steaming on the table), salted and peppered, added ground coriander, walnuts and tucked in a spoonful of homemade mayonnaise. It turned out very tasty! The daughter refused at first try, then took one spoon and ... ate half of the salad))). So the spiralizer rules! Now, after the holidays, I will order a 2 mm insert and go! And tomorrow I want to cut a cucumber for decoration)).
Svetlenki
Prus - 2, Lyuba, and carrot spirals were cut for salad? Or did it go so well?

Congratulations on your new assistant!
Prus - 2
If you mean the length - I chiked a couple of times with scissors (in general, I was in a hurry))), they already sat down at the table, but I have no patience))), I broke nuts just with my hands)), but it turned out very, very tasty! Thanks for the compliments!
leostrog
Yesterday for dinner I ate my rutabaga pasta and pumpkin noodles (I wrote about this earlier, spiralizer VB). I mixed them together. I added canned tuna, hand-made mayonnaise and some wine vinegar to them. I thought it would be edible at its best, but it turned out to be quite tasty. The consistency turned out to be quite successful - just al dente. The length of the noodles is about -4-6 cm. And it is even more convenient to eat pumpkin noodles - you do not need to wind it tediously on a fork, like rutabaga macaroni.
Bella gave the spiralizer to a friend so that she, too, could join a healthy diet.

Today I made pumpkin pasta again, but this time I used butternut squash. Used VB.
I cut the pumpkin like this.
Spiral chopper (slicer, spiralizer) for cutting vegetables and fruits
Used the Angel Hair attachment (2 mm).
This time the pasta turned out to be much more successful - it cut through completely and remained long.
Spiral chopper (slicer, spiralizer) for cutting vegetables and fruits
I realized that it is more convenient to cut pumpkin pieces when they are not too long, about 12 cm.That is, either you need to buy short pumpkins or cut them in half lengthwise.
Trishka

Mixed them together
How was it processed? Well, stew or fry there?
leostrog
In boiling water with apple cider vinegar. boiled to make it soft, but still crunchy.
I used a lot of boiling water. so that at the same time the specific pumpkin flavor is removed.
I wrote above that I serve such pasta with tuna.Since the portion was with a reduced calorie content, then with a clear conscience I added shortbread cookies with apple filling for dessert;))
Trishka
leostrog, thanks, an interesting way, I have not met this.
leostrog
Interestingly, has anyone already used the Kitchen Aid spiral attachment?
Compare the results.
In the video, the nozzle looks quite bulky and long, and it is not necessary to assemble it "at once".

What pleased me yesterday when cutting VB - a piece of pumpkin that was rather uneven in shape, with a bend, was cut. The main thing was that the piece should sit confidently on the rod-tube. The leftovers were rather scanty (they also went into the bag in the freezer, where all the leftovers from the previous cuts are stored - they are waiting for their turn for the vegetable soup). I was right Jouravl that the pumpkin should be firm and dense, then the pumpkin is cut well.
Again, after washing all the lids and containers from VB. my entire kitchen table was filled with drying removable parts of the appliance. Since all these connections of the lid and bowl look rather flimsy and, and God knows how much the replacement will cost, if they break, then I play it safe and put everything neatly to dry on a flat surface.

And what - well done uncle! I praise. Makita's motor is powerful and investment is minimal. Just buy such a cutting cap.

So, why are we silent? Today I made a salad in an oriental style: zucchini, steamed cucumbers, poured soy sauce, a little apple cider vinegar, garlic, dill, sesame seeds. Now it will stand for half an hour and ...
And then, a little later, I will honestly allow myself a puff with cottage cheese and lingonberries.
