That is, peel the apples too? Sour apples will do, have you tried? I apologize for the questions, they just gave me a box of sour apples

An interesting recipe!

Alenkina, of course, clean it.

sour apples
You just have to add more sugar. But keep in mind, ginger, this is not for everybody, it gives a certain bitterness or speck

Thank you very much for answering my questions! I went to create

Elena, not at all! I was happy to help!

Natasha, a very interesting recipe. I have a lot of apples every year, but this year it’s just abysmal. I take it to bookmarks. Thank you.
Natali06
Natochka, Thank you! Enjoy cooking!

Oh, this is such a nyama, she cooked it last year, recently they finished the last jar ...

Natalie, thanks for the recipe!
I make cherry-plum-orange-ginger jam, but it never crossed my mind to cross ginger with an apple)))

I hoped that the apple pieces would remain intact, like cherry plums, but, alas, the apple was boiled and the jam had to be "blended". The consistency turned out to be very pleasant, the taste of delicate apple-lemon jam with crunchy sharp pieces of ginger is great!
I cooked from 700 grams of apples, 200 grams of ginger and 1 lemon (I also used the zest) - an amazing hot jam !!!
There will be something to treat a sore throat in winter if the jam survives until winter ...

Verunchik, thank you for such a report!
This year I prepared several recipes for jams, but this one remained a favorite, and not only mine.
But how do you think with 200 grams of ginger, did it seem too much? Apple taste hasn't disappeared?

and here on the contrary, the apples remained intact. I'll leave the next batch in pieces.

The consistency is clearly apple, and the taste, yes - the taste is 80% lemon. We are ginger maniacs, we like this pungency!

then the name needs to be changed: Ginger jam with apple

Sugar is not enough ... at room temperature the jam becomes moldy ... it was very offensive, I had to redo it ... I think if you put 1.5 kg of sugar, like apples, then everything will be fine ...

Why spoil apples with sugar, the taste can change completely. And this is also not a guarantee of safety, apples, and with such a quantity, can become moldy even in the refrigerator.
It is much more practical to pour hot jam into jars and roll up under the lids, and put on the lid until it cools completely - the guarantee of safety is complete, even under the bed

Well I do not know ...

Last year, I cooked confiture according to this recipe, closed with screw caps, twist-off of which, the last jar was devoured in September this year.

All this time, the confiture was kept in the kitchen table, and at least some hint of mold ... it seems to me it would have stood the same amount ...

Could it be something else?
Natali06
I have all the jams, and with ginger, and with cinnamon and with pectin (Tanyush, thanks for him!), just standing in the kitchen. And yesterday I remembered that there was also ginger on the top shelf. And I always put sugar below the norm.

Maybe you speak for an open jar?

It's just that the apples were apparently very sour, and I also took a very large lemon. Anyway, the recipe is great, thanks. If you don't mind, add the ginger, it is better to put it 10 minutes before the end of cooking, so it will retain its beneficial properties (and there are a lot of them).
Natali06
Juliadear, do what you like best. You have the right to add your colors to that picture the recipe that we offered you. And this is already a flight for your creativity!

Natasha, I made this confiture, but as always I cooked from memory, but my memory is not good enough. In general, I forgot to put the lemon. And all the same it is tasty, burning, for a sore throat well, very good in a small amount. Thanks for the recipe. There are still apples, so I'll cook them according to the original recipe.

Mmm ... How I love ginger! In all kinds! Thanks for the deliciousness.
I'll come home, I will definitely do it!

Natalie, thanks for the recipe! Today I cooked it, I really liked it, but .... mine, they said to repeat, but without ginger, the smell and taste did not suit them. What shall we do!
Natali06
Svetik, on health! Light, maybe then try your own to cook with oranges https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=302526.0
My son likes it more with cinnamon, although it eats not bad either
Svetlanaur
Natasha, I’ll cook this too, eat it, and cook it with oranges (how could I not have noticed it?), Since apples are in bulk on the market all winter.
Natali06
I had mine. Then I just didn’t cook, I tried everything!
Svetlanaur
Well, now, thanks to you, we will try with bazaar!

Thanks for the recipe! Of course, I forgot about the lemon. But then I put in cinnamon and reduced the sugar - the apples are very sweet. I just chopped the ginger finely, because I planned to pass it through a blender. Not allowed. Mom liked the pieces of ginger, but they don't argue about tastes ... it was done for her
Agusha
Thanks for the recipe!) I am doing the second year, and I and my family really liked it, it is stored well without a refrigerator, it is eaten instantly)
