I cook Mistral long grain rice (yellow packaging). I really like the taste, liquids and cereals I take 1: 2. In Panasonic, I cooked this particular rice, it turned out very tasty. I also like the Kuban round, but there is a 1: 1 ratio. I don’t like steamed, I don’t like the taste and smell, and it’s somehow heavy.
And when I cook pilaf, then I need to be guided by the fact that when preparing zirvak there is already liquid, so you can pour less. But I always think it's best not to add water. If at the end of the program the rice seemed a little dry, then in Panasonic I easily corrected it, I just added boiling water and left it on the Preheat for a while (then fill your hand, this problem will disappear, but at first it happens). But if the liquid is poured, then instead of pilaf there will be porridge and Heating will not help.

Ladies, thanks for the advice! All with the coming holiday! Love, spring mood and unfading beauty!

What function do you use to cook rice? When is it just a side dish? On pilaf, porridge or buckwheat?
Galin
Side dish rice on the Buckwheat mode (in the new Panasonic I cooked 1.5 m / st of rice + 3 m / st of water in 20 minutes, I wrote about this above).
Sun4
Thanks for sure! I'll try from normal rice now :-)
Svetlana R
I baked charlotte with pineapple rings according to the recipe here on the forum. Very tasty, I liked it.
Did two more times with apples.
I have a question. The top is not baked. I turn it over, but since the charlotte, all this does not hold well, it falls apart. Until you turn it over.
And today I added a little less flour (before that I did it thickly) - it rose very well, but while I turned it over, it turned out to be a cake. The dough is delicious, tender, but everything has fallen out.
So what's the best way to do it? I bake on one side according to the program - 40 min. I turn it over - and 20 more.
Can bake on one side for 60 minutes, let the top be white, but will it bake?

How are you doing?

I searched the site, well, I did not find anything intelligible, everything is so cheerfully "overturning", or they write that the top is white.
RepeShock

Why are you flipping? Do not do this. The top is baked, it just stays pale.
Bake and turn immediately onto a platter, and eat in peace.
Svetlana R
Thank you. This is what I needed to know. Many write that they turn over.
How long do you bake?
RepeShock

Not at all) Turn over those who do not like the pale top, I never pay attention to this.
By time, everything is baked in different ways, see how the recipe. And check the readiness with a wooden stick, just like in the oven.

Delicate pies such as charlotte do not need to be touched once more. Moreover, it was conceived by a changeling, we also turn it over from the oven onto a dish.

then made a compote, respectively, in the "compote" mode - that's where the seething is so seething
It seems that we have different CFs. Today I made a compote from dried fruits, I had to open the lid (although I don't like to do this, because with each opening the temperature fails) in order to understand how the program works. At first there was complete silence, although I poured water from the kettle (a full kettle + refilled up to 2 liters from a jug), that is, the compote was infused, then in the middle of the process it bubbled and then silence again, insisted. It turned out to be a very rich and tasty compote, although I literally took a handful of dried fruits for 2 liters. water. It seems to me that the compote was not so tasty in the old Panasonic.
I had the most active boiling process on the Stew program, quieter on Soup. Now I'm going to cook borscht on the Soup program, I'll see how it turns out again.
Sun4
Just now I cook soup and the same borscht - maybe I really have something with the cartoon? But first I put it on the "steam" mode (there was a full pan of lukewarm water) stood for 30 minutes - got tired of waiting - switched to soup and left - put it on for 2 hours after half an hour, opened it - just hot water. I don’t even know whether to cook meat and cabbage and potatoes? How can you not boil? Although I've already steamed vegetables and everything is fine. And for stewing, I remember boiling meat - everything was quite calm, it did not boil. Maybe try to translate for extinguishing again? Otherwise, the soup will turn sour ...
Sun4
It's just a strange thing that even following the logic, the temperature on the soup should be higher than on stewing ... now I opened the lid on purpose after an hour of cooking - everything is right in the bubbles and then here and there the gurgles finally waited)) Here on the compote gurgles cannot be compared to extinguishing.
Galin
Finish cooking, write my impressions.
Sun4
Now exactly 2 hours have passed - I opened it - the carrot that was cut into 2 pieces - (for the broth) is not yet soft enough - the beef is still tough. I put it on for another hour specially for "stewing" and turned it on to see ... I'm wondering, not even in the recipe book. where everything does not correspond to the truth, but here on the forum, all soups are written for an hour to put. I have an active boil - beef on the bone for 1.5 hours to cook, and here on a weak "languor" for all an hour
Galin
You put it on for 1 minute. "Steam cooking", the borscht will boil and transfer to Stewing (or Soup). It seems that these programs do not work correctly.
Sun4
I checked everything again - you were completely right. I cooked the meat in onion skins while stewing, therefore, apparently, I did not see boiling behind it. Now I opened a soup that costs 30 minutes to stew - in fact, it cannot be compared with the "soup" function in general, it gurgles so actively - it even boils :-) From now on I will cook for "stewing" at the beginning and then translate into soup
Galin
Yes, I can't get to the kitchen, I'll cook at night. But I will watch, if it is long, I will boil on the Steam cooking program.
Emil
I bought a gift for March 8 and decided to try it, filled up the cereal of corn porridge, poured water, poured salt, set the timer at 7 am. In the morning I found out that not all the water was gone. I also put the porridge in the mode without a timer and turned out to be a ruddy omelet from below (I decided to fry the trout from the zucchini for lunch, but in the frying mode I did not find the timer function, in general, not quite what I wanted (disappointed! And the smell of the bowl is not inside but not very pleasant outside (
Sun4
The timer on the touch modes is only for pilaf, buckwheat and porridge. And I'm sure the smell - just new technology - will pass completely in two days. Have you tried a hazelnut or some other new technique? The same smell. The most important thing is that the bowl does not smell at all - the smell does not remain on the taste of the food.

ate soup today - it turned out very well)! I also like to throw 3 cloves into a borschik - generally delicious.

And on my program, Soup is actively boiling, boiling for about 40-50 minutes, I just did not track the time. Then, after boiling, only small boules. Once when I poured a lot of water, my soup even ran away while boiling. I constantly cook turkey soups, put it on for 1.5 hours, it turns out an excellent soup.
Crook
Emil, the frying function is perfectly replaced by the baking function. With this program, you can not only bake, but also fry. The multicooker is excellent, try it and you will like it :).
Galin
Made a risotto for dinner today. Not really risotto, lean option. My rice is correct, it is for risotto - arborio, well, then improvisation. While frying, I sautéed the onions, added bends (I only have mushrooms), then vegetables (which was - a little bit of everything). When I finished frying, I added rice 1.5 m / st and water 2 m / st (I decided not to pour 1: 1 water, but a little more and did not go wrong, just right.). Buckwheat mode. It turned out so tasty, words cannot convey, but you have to try.
Panasonic does not get tired of making me happy, everything turns out deliciously. I like the Frying mode more and more, it is so convenient to fry, it is to fry, and not to fry, vegetables and mushrooms are evenly fried, not burnt, not dry, therefore the finished dish is tasty.
Svetlana R
Tell me, please, I don't understand the meaning of timer 1 and timer 2. Why, how, for what?
Zlatovlaska
Svetlana, two timers for convenience, if you often need to cook on a timer for the same time, then set this time and it will be remembered. do not have to then constantly choose the time. For example, we cook for the morning at 7:00 - set timer1 to 7:00, and if we have dinner at 19:00, then set 19:00 to timer 2. this is for convenience, the time can always be changed. and you don't need to use timer2 at all
Aleks_777
Good afternoon, dear community - here we are the happy owners of this miracle.

We cook in it only on weekends. Of the prepared dishes, I really liked the borscht on the Stew mode and 2 times they made millet porridge (with milk and with meat), the omelet from the recipe book is simply out of competition. We tried the casserole - did not like it - it was much better in the oven.
They made borscht late in the evening (for the night) - I also did not like it, it was overcooked.

and me!!! I cooked buckwheat with frozen champignons - yummyaaaaaaaaa. Considering that even the onion forgot to fry at the beginning and all at once and mushrooms and buckwheat fell asleep - and everything is delicious. Today I cooked mackerel in foil on "baking" - I threw mackerel without a head and tail in spices and lemon juice pickled in foil, covered it with grated cheese after 20 minutes - the deliciousness is simple. One only worries - will I remove the smell of fish now :-) At the same time, I'll check how quickly I can get rid of it.
Mona1
Anh, hello! The smell is well removed if you boil a piece of ginger root on Steam on the Steam mode, just as you cooked the lemon peels in the beginning. (just not the ground ginger from the pack).
P.S. Sorry, girls, that I got out of the bushes, I have another cartoon, even two, but not Panasy. I just have Panas - a bread machine and I love her dearly.
Sun4
Now in the juice that spilled from the fish in the cartoon, I threw potatoes, coarsely cut into cubes, and on "baking" for 30 minutes. I interfered once - it turned out with a crust, delicious and juicy !! And the fish covered with foil did not cool down during this time.

I just remembered you that only thanks to you I bought a multicooker !!! And now I'm not happy and here you are with the advice you need again :-))) Now I put apples with cinnamon - I think if there is a smell and do not mind throwing it out :-) if I still plow ginger, I'll shove it. I would not have thought of it !!!
Ekaterina777
Girls-connoisseurs of this multicooker, please answer the question. How much does water boil off in steam mode? I had an old Panasonic model. She was smart! By her foolishness she ruined her. Now I bought another multicooker, Brand. Everything seems to be good, but when steaming in half an hour, 5 centimeters of water boils out of the saucepan. I am afraid all the time that I will not keep up .... Now I want to buy a cartoon for my dacha. I was glad that Panasonic heard us and made a more modern model
Roza_Irina
Cooked vegetables for vinaigrette, about 40 minutes. Poured 1 liter of water. It seems that everything remained in place. And there is protection, if it boils away, then the heating will turn on.
Ekaterina777
OK. Thank you. And then, in reality, steam in the brand directly knocks out of the valve when you steam it. Panasonic did not have this
Sun4
The first mistake with my favorite cartoon - I was now cooking rice on the "buckwheat" mode, I needed crumbly without oil (for soup). I understand that it was possible "for a couple", but it was interesting to try in this mode - I had never cooked rice in a cartoon. So this is the problem: the foam went through the valve like a fountain :-( turned off the mode- made an oil rim and put the steamer tray inside. Now it is wonderfully cooked.
Sun4
On the "porridge" mode, rice with milk is fine.
Zlatovlaska
how much rice did you cook? I have already cooked rice several times in 2 or 2.5 multi-glasses in buckwheat mode and everything is ok, I take steamed rice ... here barley and barley foamed very much, even a small amount, probably very good. rinse them well ...
Sun4
cooked 2 multi-glasses of rice for 2 multi-glasses of water ordinary rice Krasnodar Mistral (not steamed - did not like the taste)
Zlatovlaska
Yes, if not steamed, then it probably needs to be rinsed before cooking
I also don't really like steamed it, but everyone eats it with an appetite, so I don't get messy
I will have to try to cook buckwheat in MV SuperBasmati, compare ...

Raspberries
Girls, is the control / display on the lid convenient?
Roza_Irina
It seems to be so good. But I don't cook anything with the lid open. And so I closed it, chose the program. Although I like the slope ahead.
Svetlana R
I made yogurt today. Evitalia sourdough, according to the instructions - one bottle for two liters of milk. I put it on a multi-cooker 40 degrees, 11 hours. Got it out. I don't see how to insert a photo, I wanted to show it. In general, a few clots, the rest is whey. The clots are liquid, it probably won't work to drain. I put it in the refrigerator for now.
Nothing like I saw here on the forum: a dense mass in glasses. Milk was taken by Myasnov (supposedly natural), fat content 3.2.
Tell me, please, I did wrong, what is the reason?
Sun4
11 hours is a lot -100% stood ... And the temperature was measured in the process? There may be overheating, I always do 6 maximum 8 hours - depending on the type
Svetlana R
Here in the subject, the girl wrote that she was doing 11 hours.
I'll try to reduce it. Or maybe because you put sourdough in cold milk? They write that it is necessary to stay warm. No, I didn't measure the temperature ... It stood at night. Yes, and there is nothing to measure (((and where do they get these thermometers, in which stores?
Sun4
it is definitely necessary to first heat the milk to 38 degrees. The thermometer is sold in all households or wherever the flowers ask. Take a thermometer for beer, it is just up to 40 degrees and you do not need higher. Go to Temka yoghurt there are many interesting things on the forum ...
Zlatovlaska
Quote: Sun4
Graduates are sold in all households or wherever flowers ask
I measure with an ordinary electronic baby thermometer, it does not measure above 42 degrees, but I need more for yogurt. I do it in a thermos, so I won't tell you for MV, but even in a thermos no more than 8 hours. if there is a lot of whey, then the yogurt has stood.

Today, my CF completely died ((As a result, after the repair it worked for exactly two months and burned out everything in the same mode - cooking for steam. I decided not to reanimate it anymore. All day I read about different CF. This time the choice fell on little-known German MV Zigmund & Shtain, I was pleased with the price / quality ratio, I liked them very much.Someone tell me where there is a separate topic about them on the forum ??
Zlatovlaska
It's a pity of course that this happened with Panasik
Good luck with your new MV!
Roza_Irina
It's a pity that this happened. I thought Panasonic was reliable. But if it is still under warranty, I would venture to repair it. And after the third time of repair, they should generally change to a new one.
